It was a normal day for Kath, it was December and cold. she thought it would be a peaceful day till an owl was sent to her telling her about a person, finally, something struck she forgot she signed up for the secret Santa thing. Well, she did it out of boredom of course, although thankfully for her she had planned what she would do and got her equipment, she was planning to make earrings yet wired theme.

She could only find golden coloured wires, it wasn't her style though but it was what she could find, she would make 2 pairs of these earrings and a jewelled necklace, yet all in a small red bag with a golden lace. She was gonna head to the library away from all the Gryffindors. She packed all her equipment that where: The rose-gold wires, earring hooks, small tools to bend the wires, a thin metal necklace chain, A long black crystal, a cylinder snake, a bunch of small crystals, small metal hoops,a small red leather poach,golden rope and A necklace case that needs to be attached back together

Katherine packed all her things into a small bag and was headed out until she found a simple note outside her door, she picked it up and an automatic smirk drew on her face as she read it. She knew it was cash in need of her help, Katherine thought "oh well hello to you too",
Katherine put the note in her pocket and headed to the library with a grin.

Until she arrived she scanned the room with her sharp icy eyes, till she found a purple-haired demon person sitting and by the looks of it they looked like they were waiting for someone. Katherine had the biggest smirk on her face as she knew it was cash. Katherine headed to them and sat next to them. She put her bag full of her equipment on the table and pulled out the note and threw it gently in front of cash on the table then spoke to cash"well firstly hello to you too, secondly, help has come your way, well technically I know it's about the secret Santa thing, now what failure are you going to send to your person",

she grinned and sat next to cash and sat straight since she doesn't feel comfortable crouching, Katherine always sat straight-backed. she noticed pictures of scenery on the table with a bunch of watercolour equipment. Looks like the purple-haired demon is painting a scenery on a paper oh well Katherine thought.

Katherine opened her bag and looked at all her equipment, she would start with the easiest, the necklace then with the earrings, since they need the wires to be shaped. she had an idea to make one of the pairs in the shape of a tulip and at the bottom, a small purple/pinkish crystal would hang, The other one would be a medium lengthed rose-gold chain hanging from the hook then Kath would shape the wires into a butterfly but on top of the butterfly would be a light-purple crystal.

The head of their purple-haired ducked down while waiting for Katherine to arrived at the library. They still can figure it out why their mother sent a bunch of sceneries among the other things. Then when a soft thud of crumpled paper landed on the table, Cash looked uo. Finally the person they waiting for arrived.

"Took you long enough"They said it with sarcasm but not in malice way. "I hated waiting"Cash let out a shudder when they remembered how their Fall Ball date stood them up. The hot-headed girl greet the green eyes then saying along the line that help has come onto Cash's way and quipped about the failure that the purple-haired will make.

Katherine said it with confidence that make the green eyes chuckled. "And you full of sh-"Cash catch themselves before they finished the cursing. "You are so full of yourself aren't you, mate"Cash corrected themselves. When Cash looked fully at the young Gryffindor they can not help to let out another sarcasm for her.

"You robbed a store or something?"They insulted Katherine in friendly manner after they saw the bulky bag that Kath brought along with her. The green eyes then looked down again at the equipments that they laid out on the table. Cash about to asked Katherine what she will make for her person Secret Santa but decided against it.

"Hey,"Cash poked Kath cheek just to annoyed the other girl. "Should I make something useful or a gag gift? by gag I mean not a trashy gift but more like a funny one"Cash inquired the evil doer short-tempered girl.

Katherine had just heard cash complain about her being late, Kath just rolled her eyes. Another thing came out of cash that sent Kath grinning, saying that she was full of herself. Katherine just turned, looked at cash and drew a huge smirk on her face. She spoke" Well it hard being me, it isn't easy to look just this good as me",

She had heard her also commenting about her bag well Katherine smirked and spoke"well unlike you, I'm putting my full effort in this, not draw on some paper that can be scrunched up and thrown in the bin",

Kath had heard a hey coming from cash, she knew its no good she felt a press of a finger on her cheek quickly she held their wrist and spoke"I know I'm good looking and all but doesn't mean you get to touch me", she let her hand down. Cash had asked her what they should do well Katherine had to comment on it "If they looked at whatever you're doing they would probably gag ",

Katherine just grinned and spoke" fine just do something useful, no gags or whatever it is", Katherine had just started to use her tool to bend the gold rose wires, she had just finished doing a pair of flowers, it took quite a while for her to shape it perfectly, she had made a small hoop on the top and attached the earring hooks, She had also attached the bottom crystals for the look.

Finally, as she looked at her finished product, she was impressed it turned out better than what she had expected, she had placed the finished pair on her side and started to shape the wires into the next pair. carefully making sure they turned into a simple butterfly, she tried her best to keep her hand in shape and not go too violent on the wires. Sooner or later she had shaped her wires into two beautiful butterflies.

She had used another tiny tool to add a small hoop to attach the medium length chain, she had just attached an earring hook and finally a small gem. At this point, Katherine was finally finished with the earrings, she was frustrated yet committing to finishing this, Lastly, she was yet going to attach her necklace pieces and create the bag.

But she had paused and let out a small sigh and looked at cashs direction, to check on them and see if they had progressed or not.

Cash let out a laughed at how over confident Katherine statement was. "Yeah yeah, whatever you said"They chuckled after that. After the green eye made a comment about the bulky bag that Katherine brung along with her, she just like the purple hair expected make a quick banter.

She said along the way she putting her best effort into the gift and make a snide comment about all the sceneries that laid in front of the Beater.

Cash frown a bit after Katherine comment and looked down on the drawing of sceneries that their mother sent. "Ouch! that hurt, you know"They let out a small laughed again but did not get offended at the slightest of what the hero wanna be said to them. After Cash poked Katherine cheek, the young Lioness catch their wrist.

At the good looking part, the green eyes let out another laugh. "You definitely full of yourself today, mate"Cash shook their head. Amused of Katherine antics. The first meeting they met with the icy blue eyes girl was the most bizarre encounter Cash ever had.

Though it was bizarre and down right weird as Cash get to know the young girl better, is the most unique character the Second Year ever met.

If other person got insulted by Katherine like the green eyes, they probably frown and called Katherine some mean word. They will avoided her at all cost, but not Cash. Cash just looked at Katherine side way and always wonder why did they become friends with Katherine at the first place.

Beside Katherine sharp-tongue and her rude traits most of the time, Cash knew there some reason(s) behind those persona.

The room grew quite as Katherine started to worked on her gift to her Secret Santa person. The green eyes still at lost of what they wanted to make. They drummed their fingers on the table softly. Cash let out a sighed. Their mother really made them to think hard for it. Then suddenly something just clicked in the green eyes's mind.

Cash grabbed a large paper and divided it into medium size rectangles. The first one they draw a circle and the circle they painted like how the sunset color is with a drawing of snow mountain and a tree. Next they tried to draw a rows of building at night and even added some language they did not know into the drawing.

The third set they draw a picture of bridge above water and added a pink color tree. Cash looked down at their half done gift for their Secret Santa person. It been a long time they draw something like that. Hopefully the end result will turn out great and their Secret Santa person will like the gift that Cash made.

The last one is the hardest. The green eyes pull closer the image of a sea wave from one of the sceneries that their mother sent to them. The gradients of the color for the wave itself was challenging enough for them. "Seriously, mother! You could have picked something easier for me to draw"The mumbled under their breath as the green eyes painted the wave.

The second year grabbed both of the side of their neck, massage it softly. Their neck become stiffed with the long hours of how Cash angle their neck. They looked left and right to loosen the tense muscle of their neck. Once the drawn of wave finished, Cash added a little white color here and there. The Beater then looked down on the four set of rectangles.

They smiled to themselves and please at the end result of their hard labor. Cash then make a hole at each of the four rectangles with their scissor and added four color of string to attached to the rectangles. They knotted the strings so the strings stay in place. Cash then averted their green eyes from their creation to what Kath made.

"I do not know you are that crafty, mate"Cash expressed in amazement and proud tone of what Kath made for her Secret Santa gift. Kath definitely are put her best effort into her creation. Cash gathered their simple yet hopefully useful gift in their hand. The collected all the belongings that scattered on the tables.

"When you are done, let me know"Cash said to Katherine as they whistle lowly a Spanish lullaby while waiting the other girl to finished her gift.

Katherine didn't reply to any snarky comments the Slytherin spoke she just had a devilish smirk on her face. Right now all Katherine had in mind was to finish this thing and lucky for her all she had left was to attach the necklace together. She got a spare metal chain which already had the lock on it, which had saved her from actually clipping a lock onto it.

she got a small silver hoop that she clipped on one of the small patterns of the chain, it was there so she can clip on the snake and the crystal. After doing that she had got the separate black crystal, she made sure it was reflective and shiny, she had also got the snake she glued both together, Out of all the animals that were out there, she made sure to choose a snake because it represents her.

It was her family animal, it meant many things but one reason that her father told her about was that our bite is venomous and dangerous in other words don't mess with us. Well other than that Katherine had always been attached to them. She hadn't realized she spaced out in her train of thought, till cash spoke they would wait for her to finish. Katherine nodded at her and spoke"ok, I don't have much left anyway",

She had applied another hoop on the pierced hole in the head of the snake and connected it to the hoop on the chain, Katherine had glued the crystal and finally finished all the jewellery she let out a small sigh in relief and brushed her fingers through here waves. She got a necklace case and managed to attach it back together and applied the necklace in it, it was small and was able to fit in the red gift poach Katherine was making.

Katherine had finally added the 2 pairs of earrings and the necklace in a red poach that had a golden strap. She took a good look at her gift, it was the kindest thing she had ever done to somebody, she was proud of what she had made, but yet a foreign feeling hit her. She wasn't used to positivity, it was a feeling she didn't much like at all.

She looked at cashs work she gave a scoff and had a devilish smirk on looking at their gift and back at them"Eh not bad, and I don't like getting crafty, I usually buy gifts I shouldn't be making some gifts to someone who isn't close to me and that I essentially don't care about, I assure you it's not happening again", her smirk turned into a stoic and cold face in a matter of seconds.

" by the way I'm done", she laid back on the chair and looked up at the ceiling waiting for cashs next move.

Waiting Katherine to finished her gift was like waiting the paint on the wall to go dry. They was bored while the soft sound of Katherine clipping here and there and attaching he gift to one another filled the rather empty library. Cash then whistle some more and they let out a sigh. Cash wondering when will Katherine finished with her gift.

After Cash said to Katherine to tell them whenever Katherine will finished her gift, Katherine then uttered that she does not have much left to do with her gift. The green eyes then wait some more. Cash could easily left the room after they had done with their gift and left Katherine all alone to attended her gift making but Cash somehow feel a bit comrade towards Katherine.

When the young lioness finally done with her gift, the first year then look at the Beater and she had a smirk on her face while looking at the purple haired gift for their Secret Santa person. Cash admittedly to themselves that they were not a crafty person so a simple gift would do the justice. Kath told the green eyes that she usually buying gift rather than making one.

The way she spoke ooze with nonchalant tone that by now Cash used to it. She told Cash this occurrence will not be happen again. Cash let out a laugh. The way Katherine said it like it was pained her. After a beat minute, Katherine told the Second Year that she was finished. "Finally!"The green eyes exclaimed. Cash then got up from the chair they were seating.

They waited for Katherine to gathered her things. Once both of them done with the collecting, Cash pushed the wooden door of the library and both of students will parted their way. Cash will be heading directly toward their dorm and Katherine will heading toward wherever she needed to be at.
