Dear Ma,
Just a wee note to let you know we've arrived at Hogwarts safe. Sorry I didn't write sooner, I've been busy I've been nerv I've been trying to make friends I've been working hard. Classes here are pretty intensive, even if they've only just started. But I won't fall behind!
I've also been Sorted into a House. One for the Brave and Chivalrous. Bet the boys will get a kick out of that! Well, tell them it's the red house so I was really only being loyal to the Brilligs! Speaking of Quidditch, tell Tiordan I flew on a broom today! Or maybe don't.
Is Da still angry upset? I promise I'll work hard on my whittling and my carving. I won't fall behind just cause I'm at this fancy school! I even brought a few blocks of Butternut and Aspen to use with me. I'll keep sharp!
does he hate me?
Anyways, tell Tiordan not to touch my stuff while I'm away! Tell everyone I said hi, including Jim and Henry, god knows what those to are up to without me.

Hey Jorah,
How's everything? I've been away for less than a week and I already feel homesick. You won't tell Ma or Da will you? I just want to hear about everything that's been going on at home?
Ma probably got my letter before this so you'll hear a bit about how it's been going so far. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing place - I just feel a bit like a fraud. I keep thinking the professors will notice me and wonder what I'm doing here, and then I'll be booted out before I know it.
Is that silly? Anyways, tell me about everything that Ma's going to leave out in her reply. Is Tiordan still bucking up the courage to ask Anne out? Tell him to write me sometimes! I'll probably write him a letter in a few days anyways. Tell Dill I miss him too!
And Da. Has he said anything to you?

Dear Della,
Sweetheart! We were so worried! You should have mailed us sooner, Tiordan was freaking us all out with his theories on what had happened. I'm glad you're safe! But if it's because of schoolwork I guess I can understand.
How are the classes? I'm glad to see you're turning a new leaf and paying attention to your education. It's about time we had a studious kid in our family! One in four, you'd think we'd have struck gold before now! Work hard in your classes, and don't be afraid to ask for help if you don't understand something. You can only get better! Maybe your Da has some customers he knows from the shop who won't mind you mailing them for help.
This 'Sorting' sounds like a pretty big deal. Darling, you've been plenty brave in leaving home and trying something new. And you've never been the un-chivalrous sort, whatever that means! Sounds like a perfect fit to me, dear. Tiordan read the part about the broom over my shoulder so I had no say in it, your brother's stalked off with a pen in his hand. Been awhile since I've seen him even touch one with the intention to write!
It's only been a few days, so you've not missed much. Tiordan's been sulking about not having a footie partner against Jim and Henry mostly, in between disappearing occasionally. Honestly, where does that boy even go when he's not working in the workshop? Well, everyone's a little glum without you here. Jorah is even quieter than usual. Dillon is going to the gym a lot more. Boys will be boys I suppose. I miss having another girl around the house, your old Ma's feeling far too worn to be dealing with these hooligans on a daily basis without some feminine help! We'll adjust I'm sure, it's just a little strange to be missing one of my babies at the dinner table. First to Hogwarts. First to leave home, even.
We're very proud of you, Della. And happy for you too. You deserve everything within your grasp, seize those opportunities, no Bram has ever had them before. Your Da is stubborn and proud. But he's also proud of you. It might just take him a little longer to realise it. Be patient with him, darling. It was hard for him to see you leave.
Work hard at Hogwarts, okay? Keep your chin up. Focus on your studies and away from trouble, and don't spend waste too much time carving or wandering about.

Feeling homesick so soon? We're missing you lots too. Da's been grumpier than usual and spending nearly all his time at the Silver Moon. Give it some time, I'm sure you'll settle in soon. Just do like you usually do and grab people for a game of footie - they do have football there right?
You want to hear about everything? Okay, well Da and Master Roscoe got an order in, the other day, for another of those rich types, working on a locked chest. Tio's been begging to be apart of it, even if it's just helping wrap it up. (Also Tio says to 'bugger off' about Anne - I say we keep pressing!) Da's challenged him to carve about a hundred knife handles in three days instead, so you'll probably hear some complaining soon. And Ma got a bunch of American kids in the shop yesterday and one of them bought the figurine you made for a tenner. Not bad, kid. Dillon's been acting shifty recently, asking Ma if she can up his pay a little. Saving up for something by the looks of it.
Jim and Henry are going a little stir-crazy without you, so you might want to send them a letter or something - maybe message me what you want to say and I'll email it to them? Muggles think letter writing is old fashioned. Your favourite brother has started reading a new book and I got another commission from Ollivanders' for more wand boxes, but apart from that it's been quiet.
Also: a fraud, really? You're the strongest magical ever to come out of the Bram family. If anyone says otherwise, punch them. You deserve that letter. But, if you ever feel like you want to quit then you know you can always come home right? Da still has a stool for you at the Silver Moon. Relax a little, enjoy it and don't give yourself too much pressure. Dells, you made it to Hogwarts, it's already more than we expected.

How's life? Be grateful I'm writing you a letter, my hands are actually killing me right now! Ye olde taskmaster wants me to churn out about a billion knife handles by tomorrow, and I've only done about a half. No sleep tonight, you better be glad you don't sleep in your bed anymore, cos that's my new workbench right now. Jim and Henry are actually being twats right now, moaning and griping about every little thing - and they keep asking me to give them your email. I just told them you've gone to a fancy posh place that doesn't let you on the internet, but they weren't convinced. You're dumb as rocks, Della - no offence. So maybe right them a letter, or something and I'll pass it on.

I CANT BELIEVE YOU FLEW ON A BROOM. WHAT. WHAT. Oh man, I don't care if I have to cling to you like a koala, you have to let me up on one. Does Quality Quidditch let you try them out in the store? Next time you're home, Brutus.
