"Bye Mom! Thanks for driving me here." Kara said, kissing her mother's cheek through the car window.

"Bye baby, make sure to stay safe and have fun. I hope to meet this kid someday. Now make sure you're on time." Kara's mother said to her, kissing her daughter's cheek.

"Don't worry about me mum, now go along. I'm going just with them."

"Alright alright! Bye Kara!" Kara's mother rolled up the window and drove away as Kara waved her goodbye.

Kara turned, wiping wake dust of her denim shorts as she pulled her black suitcase behind her. Walking into the airport, it was actually pretty crowded, as it was the holidays and people were trying to go visit family or, like herself, go on Christmas vacation. But you never know, in the future, Cassie's family could become her in-laws, therefore becoming family.

As she was walking through the corridors and hallways, stopping by a small store to by some Skittles, her favorite candy, she actually had no idea where she was going, so luckily, some woman had tapped her on the shoulder, she seemed like a flight attendant.

"Excuse me miss, but are you Kara Capricorn? If so, I'm going to have to ask you to come with me so I can lead you to your flight." She said to her. Her blonde hair was in a high tight bun and her brown eyes were warm and genuine, so she wasn't lying, Kara was safe with the lady.

"Yes, that's me! I would really appreciate it if you could lead me." Kara said, dipping her head in thanks.

The lady, who she now knew was Emily, lead her to a flight stop, and led her to the door.

"Thank you Miss Emily!" She said waving to the blonde as she waved and walked away to go probably lead some other lost souls in this giant airport.

She walked into the plane, expecting rows of seat, but she wasn't expecting a private jet! She saw Cassie sitting in one of the seats, so Kara quickly put away her luggage and sat in the seat across from them.

"Holy shit this is impressive. This is all really cool! Thanks again for inviting me! I hope you don't mind, but I brought my camera to take some photos. I quite like photography and I could practice abroad, which is a big opportunity I just couldn't pass up." Kara said, looking out the window.

With Cassie's response, the pilot announced that the flight would now commence, so Kara locked on her seatbelt and squeezed her eyes shut, as this was her first time on a plane, and she was quite nervous actually.

"Sorry. It's my first time flying on a plane, ever. It's no wonder why I'm practically failing flight classes at Hogwarts." She apologized to Cassie, not opening her eyes.

Heathrow International Airport London, U.K December 23rd, 2020

When they waited for Kara to arrived, a grey haired man wearing blue shirt and navy blazer stepped into the plan. The young pilot and the single flight attendance greeted him with a polite and respectable 'Sir', The man then nodded toward both of them. The man then asking something to the young pilot. The young pilot then pointing toward the green eyes direction.

The man then walked toward Cash and sat across from them. "Cassandra! Well looked at you. You are so big now"The man greeted them. Cash paid attention to the man. Their father definitely had some feature from the man that seated across from them. "Grandpa"Cash replied back curtly. "How was Hogwarts?"He asked.

"Still the same like how you know it"The green eyes told their grandpa. "Aah! the good old days"Their grandpa reminisced. "I am a Beater for Slytherin"Cash do not know why they informed their grandpa about that trivial thing. Their grandpa beamed at them proudly. "Like father, like daughter"Their grandpa expressed.

Cash tried not to grimaced at Cash's grandpa statement. He is about to open his mouth but the young pilot approached them saying the plane is ready for the trip. Cash's grandpa nodded at the info. "We will continue this later on"Their grandpa stand up and walked toward the flight deck. Cash hated fake pleasantries. It is something that entails of being a Pureblood.

Sometime later, Kara stepped into the plane. Cash smiled when they saw the short brown haired girl. When Kara saw them, the single flight attendance quickly aided Kara to store her luggage. Kara then sat in the seat across from the purple haired that some minutes ago was seated by their grandpa. Kara then exclaimed how impressive the private jet is.

Cash nodded at the fact and agree with Kara. She then sent her gratitude to Cash for inviting her along for this trip. "No problem. Glad you like it"They stated. Kara then told Cash that she bring along her camera to take some photos and to practice her skill. She mentioned that she quite fond of photography and this is a big opportunity that Kara could not passed up.

"I think you mentioned it before. In our date"Cash claimed. At the mentioned of their date with Kara no so far awhile back, their face become red. The awkwardness, the nervousness that Cash felt still fresh in their mind. Cash then rubbed the back of their neck to lessen the tint blush on their face. Cash can feel the plane moving forward and the sound of their grandpa filled the jet cabin.

"Cassandra and friend, good morning. Welcome on board to flight BR6A. This is Reginald Ironwoods, your Captain speaking and I have some information about our flight. This is a direct flight. Our flight time today will be 10 hours 50 minutes. Our estimated time of arrival in São Paulo, Brazil is 12.00 pm local time. São Paulo is 3 hours behind London"Their grandpa's voice cackles through the speaker.

"The weather in our route is good. And the forecast says it will be cloudy in São Paulo when we arrive. The temperature at our destination is now 22 degrees Celsius (71.6°F), with some rain. We remind you that if you need any special attention, our crew will be at ready to assist you. We wish you a pleasant flight and we hope to see you again soon"The businessman paused for a bit.

"On behalf of our crew, thank you for choosing our company as your airline this holiday"He then concluded and the speaker went silence. Cash closed their eyes for a brief second, hoping it was the young pilot that make the announcement instead of their grandpa. When they opened their green eyes, they saw Kara locked on her seatbelt.

Cash followed suit and this time around Kara is the one that shut her eyes. Cash wanted to hold her hand but the overhead sign of seatbelt is turned on. They can wait until the signed being turn off. Kara then saying she is sorry. Cash cinched their eyebrow together. The short brown haired then uttered that this is the first time she been on a plane while still closing her eyes.

"No worries. We have our best and worst subjects at school"They started. "I am bad at Potions"They added to make Kara less nervous about being up high in the sky. When the plane reached a certain height and the overhead sign for the seatbelt turned off, Cash rushed to Kara. They gently pry open the seatbelt buckle and grabbed Kara hand.

"Follow me"They said as the green eyes guided Kara toward the long soft looking sofa. Cash sit down first. They tugged Kara gently to signaled her it is safe now and to took a seat beside them. Once Kara sit beside the purple haird and open her eyes, Cash would smile up to the other girl. "See? It is alright now"They squeeze Kara's hand gently, assuring her.

As soon they said that, their grandpa walked out from the flight deck. He walked toward where Cash and Kara now seated. He took a seat not far from the pair, facing both Cash and Kara. Eying the Second Years alternately. He then glanced down toward the linking hands. "And who you might be, dear?"Cash's grandpa asked Kara with that borderline dangerous demeaning tone.

Kara's eyes were still shut tight, and she sat almost completely still, as for whenever she was overwhelmed, she would always shake pretty bad whenever she was scared, nervous, sad, or overwhelmed. In this case she was nervous and scared at the same time.

At Kara's apology, Cassie softly sighed before speaking.

"No worries. We have our best and worst subjects at school. I am bad at Potions" Cassie said in attempts to calm Kara's nerves, but it wasn't that good, as she could feel the plan lift off under her, which slightly made her whimper, but she recovered quickly.

It was quite some time before she heard and ding, it was the overhead seatbelt sign clicking off, saying it was safe to walk around and get up, but Kara was glued to the chair she was sitting in, and didn't really want to move for the next three hours. However, Cassie had a different idea. They got up and unlocked her seatbelt, gently taking her hand.

"Follow me" They said softly. Kara opened her eyes slightly, now squinting.

Cassie had lead her to a sofa and sat down, pulling Kara down beside them. Kara settled in the seat, still gripping Cassie's hand, but loosening her grip so she wasn't fulling crushing their hand. She sighed as Cassie squeezed her hand softly, calming her down quite a bit, her shaking now coming to a minimum.

"See? It is alright now" They cooed at her assuringly.

"Yeah," Kara let out a breath she had been holding in "Thanks Cassie. I would've stayed in that seat for the rest of the flight if it weren't for you!" She let out a soft giggle.

As she thanks Cassie, a man with wrinkles and grey hair walked out of the cockpit. Kara wondered if it was the pilot, and if it was, why the hell wasn't he flying the damn metal bird they were trapped in! He sat himself across from them, so she assumed her accusation was wrong, as he seemed pretty calm, or it was that this plane also had an autopilot mode as part of it's many controls.

He looked at the two second years sitting there, both their hands entwined.

"And who you might be, dear?" He asked her, his tone almost menacing, as though he was threatening her.

"I'm Kara Capricorn, sir. I've heard of you once before from Cassie. You're her grandfather correct?" She said as politely as possible, wanting to give off a good impression to her lover's family.

Whenever he responded, Kara would answer, and to anything else, she'd be as polite as possible, but when the two's interactions were over, she would lean her head against Cassie's shoulder, closing her eyes, attempting to get some rest, as she was pretty tired to to the exertion of her body's energy when she was shaking a lot.

Finally Kara able to open her eyes after Cash assured her everything was alright. Kara then let out a breath she is been holding. Cash never knew that kind of fear. The green eyes always love flying and up in the air. Whether it was when they rode a broom for Flying class or during Quidditch Match.

The short brown haired then shot Cash her thanks. Kara then told the green eyes if was not for the purple haired, Kara would have seated through out the long hours of the flight. Then their grandfather walked out from the flight deck and seated across from both the Second Year. Cash did not missed a beat when their grandfather's eyes travelled down towards the linking hands.

Their grandfather asking who Kara might be in condescending tone. Knowing from their mother who sometimes told them about their grandparents (from Cash's father side), Reggie (Cash's grandfather name) did not so fond toward Half-Bloods. He deemed Muggle-Borns are inferior and unworthy in the Wizarding world.

Kara answered their grandfather enquiry with polite tone and she said that she heard about their grandfather from Cash once before. "Did they now? And yes, I am indeed Cassandra's grandfather"Their grandfather stated with that superiority tone. For someone who Cash did not know that well, Cash was glad that their grandfather addressed them with the correct pronoun.

Cash's grandfather then got silence for a minute. The silence made Cash quite uncomfortable with the whole scene. He still observed Kara like Kara was his prey. "Capricorn you say?,"Their grandfather opened his mouth. "I never heard that family name before in our community"Cash's grandfather stated. By 'our' mean the Pureblood cliqué.

"Are you a Half-Blood?"Cash's grandfather inquired. "Or maybe worst than that, you could be a Mudblood"Their grandfather said it with disdained in his voice. Dripping with venom when he said it. Cash closed their eyes for a brief moment, trying to control their annoyance and open it back up.

They are hoping for this interactions ended quick. They gripped Kara hand a bit tighter to signal her that they were uncomfortable with this ordeal. The single flight attendance then approached the businessman saying they will arrived at São Paulo soon. Cash's grandfather got up from his position, he looked Cash with disappointment in his eyes toward the purple haired.

He then walked back toward the flight deck again. Cash let out a breath that they were not aware they had hold it. Relieved the whole interactions was over. "Sorry about that,"Cash uttered their apology. "Pureblood family can quite-"Cash paused a minute, searching the correct word. "Rigid sometimes"They stated.

Once Cash's father seated beside the co-pilot and the door to the flight deck closed, Cash can feel a bit weight on their shoulder. Cash's body become tense for a moment. They are not familiar with such a simple gesture. In the Ironwoods through out their life, the most affectionate gesture was a pat in the back or on the head.

That rarely happened this day. Cash then shifted their body so now Kara laid her head in the crook of the green eyes neck and then they looked down. Kara had her eyes close. It seems Kara attempting to get some rest. Cash smile at that. Cash then caressed Kara's hair gently. Helping to lulled the brown haired to get some rest before they arrived at their destination.

"I wake you up when we arrived"Cash told Kara in that soft whisper tone while leaned back against the sofa some more to relax their body. The semi aggressive interactions between the two Second Year and their grandfather drained Cash's energy out. Cash breath out and close their eyes too until both of them arrived at São Paulo.

Kara watched Cassie's grandfather with a wary look, as Cassie was now gripping her hand quite hard, as if she was uncomfortable. He was glaring at her, and she really didn't like that.

"Capricorn you say? I never heard that family name before in our community" Kara had been caught off guard with the words our community.

Did Cassie and their family live in some type of city where only magical families lived? She had head of them before from a few of her other friends, but was she actually going to visit one now? Kara squirmed slightly, but quickly stopped, wanting to show off some type of power in front of Cassie's grandfather. She wasn't going to let his blood prejudice get the best of her.

"Are you a Half-Blood? Or maybe worst than that, you could be a Mudblood" He stared at her, his voice dripping with disgust and distain, and that's when Kara was pissed off enough to fight back.

"Yes, I am a Half Blood. And why does it trouble you so much about the fact that my parents loved each other and wanted a child, and this said child came out magical. I believe that there is no problem with who makes up someone's family, as family is what keeps people together. But in some cases, it tears people apart, and due to your...views, you may do that very thing." Kara glared at him with a death stare.

Let's just say, the two people were glaring at each other for quite some time till Cassie squeezed her hand. She let her gaze drift back to Cassie, her look softening as she tried to give them a comforting look.

As Cassie's grandfather walked away, behind her back, she gave him the middle finger unnoticed, to be known to her and maybe Cassie if they were paying attention to her back side.

"Sorry about that, Pureblood family can quite- rigid sometimes" Cassie said sheepishly, obviously not wanting to talk about it.

Kara rubbed little circles on Cassie's hand with her thumb, giving her a sympathetic look.

"Don't worry about it. Every family has it's own problems, the lucky thing is that everyone grows older, so we're able to get more freedom from out immediate families. And besides, if you ever chose to, you could come with me to my parents home. We could figure it out, together." Kara put emphasize on the word together, because Kara really did like Cassie, a lot, and she was willing to do that for them.

Kara gave out a little yawn, placing her head against Cassie's shoulder and letting her eye's close, her long lashes fluttering softly. Cassie had tensed under the sudden touch, but later, they got comfortable, propping their head upon her own.

The two fell asleep on top of each other, both people's soft breathing lulling the other to bed.

Kara woke up to the intercom saying that they had arrived, and to Cassie shaking her up gently, just enough to wake her up. The girl rubbed her dark brown eyes of any remaining sleep, got up.

One of the flight attendants walked out of the cockpit with Cassie grandfather. Great, this guy again.

"Someone is in a car waiting to carpool you to the Ironwoods manor, I hope you enjoyed your flight and I wish you all a great vacation and a Merry Christmas." They had said.

Kara smiled at them, dipping her head in goodbye. Kara then once again took Cassie's hand in her own.

"Lead the way, Cassie."

Kara would follow them and their grandfather to the car where they hopped in with Cassie's grandfather in the front, leaving Kara and Cassie in the back. Kara looked out the window. She was she brought her camera, this place was beautiful, littered with palm trees and grand buildings with glimmering lights. As Kara looked out the window, she was somewhat troubled. At this moment, the short haired girl only hoped that the rest of Cassie's family wasn't the same as the grandfather.

Cash did managed to get some rest before both of them arrived at Sã0 Paulo. The soft dinged and a followed voice ringing from the intercom, wake the green eyes from their power short nap. This time around the voice of the young pilot filled the jet. He informed that soon they will landed. One of the flight attendance walked to Cash to informed just the same and asked Cash to wake Kara up.

With a gentle shake, the green eyes woke Kara. Once Kara woke up, she rubbed her eyes from any remaining sleep. Cash can smile at the adorable sight. A few minute later, the plane slowly descent from it heights and landed on the ground. The plan move from the runway into the private hangar garage. Once the plane fully stop; Cash stood up. Kara follow suited.

Their grandfather and the young pilot got up from the flight deck and descend the stairs. The flight attendance informed there was a car waiting for them to carpool and wished both of them great vacation and said Merry Christmas. Once Cash out the plane, both Cash and Kara seated at the back while their grandfather seated at the front.

Their grandfather said something to the chauffeur. Some short drive later, Cash and Kara arrived at a beautiful house located in the uphill of the São Paulo. Cash grandfather told them this is their stop and he will not stayed in here. Thank Merlin Cash thought to themselves. The chauffeur help Cash and Kara luggages from the car trunk and place it at the front door of the house.

December 25^th, 2020

Today is Christmas. Yesterday one of Cash's cousin who they knew by Verona Carlito Andréas Ramiréz or for short Ronnie, had show Cash around the house. He was the one that sent the owl to Cash to invited them over the holiday. Ronnie to say the least was not Cash type of person to associated with.

His bubbly and cheerful character are too annoying for the green eyes. Ronnie knocked on the guest bedroom door where both Cash and Kara stayed. He left it a bit ajar as he shout annoyingly "Wake up, cousin! Today is Christmas" while passing the room. A set of running footsteps echoing from the hall.

Cash woke up with a grunt. After Cash wake up and dress, they climbed down the stairs. They met with a man that somewhat resemblance with their mother. Cash assumed he is Cash's mother brother. "Bom dia"The man greeted them in Portuguese. "It is mean good morning"The man translated for them.

"You must be Cassandra, correct? Ronnie told me about you"He inquired Cash. The green eyes nodded their head. "Enzo Nathanael Luciano Ramiréz"He introduced his name. "You can called me Enzo"He told the green eyes. Enzo then passed the breakfast plate. The plate consist of two toasted bread, omelette, a crispy bacon and a glass of orange juice.

Cash look at him puzzled and Enzo chuckled. "I know this kind of a lot to take in,"He started. "Knowing just now that your mother had a brother that she never told you about, though I was adopted and you have four other cousins"As Enzo said that; his children, one by one come into the breakfast dining table.

The four of them seated on the left and right side of Cash. Enzo then passed four plate toward them. "Ask anything you want"Enzo stated. Cash blinked and opened their mouth but nothing come out from it. Enzo let out a chuckle. "Where is your uhh friend?"Their Uncle asked them, changing the topic.

"I think she still asleep"They answered. Cash then took a small bite from their breakfast, chatting with their cousins as they waited for Kara to bound into the dining room.

December 23rd, 2020

Kara was still staring out the car window, watching as things quickly passed by her gaze, all looking like a blur. She still felt slightly uncomfortable from Cassie's grandfather, so she discreetly let her hand entwine with Cassie's own, softly squeezing it until she let her grip falter.

It wasn't that short of a drive to Cassie's mysterious new family member's house, and it was giant! Kara's mouth gaped as she was staring out the window as a large glass house with a large garden in the front. When Cassie had told her that their family was pretty rich, she expected less, but this made her mind explode!

Whipping her head around to Cassie, her face held a look of surprise.

"There ain't no way this is it!" Her voice was in straight up awe.

But of course, this was real. Her suspicions were confirmed when the car pulled into the driveway, which made Kara's jaw drop even lower, so she had to manually close it with her free hand.

The two people hopped out of the back, the driver helping them both with their luggage. Kara didn't need it however, so she quickly carried her luggage herself. Luckily, it was on wheels.

"I am not staying here with you guys, so have fun...I guess." Cassie's grandfather gave her one last glare, which she gladly returned, before getting back into the car and driving off.

Cassie seemed relieved, so Kara definitely spoke her mind about the fact.

"Tell me about it, that guy is a straight up prick." She said, watching with a hawk's eye as the car drove away.

The two walked into the house together, and it was completely empty. Due to the many windows, it was very well lighted. Kara set down her luggage at the front of the door for now, don't worry, she'd go back for it.

She looked at Cassie hopefully, wanting to explore, and luckily, they had nodded their head with a small smile, so Kara took her chances and ran off through the house, making sure to be as careful as possible.

Kara was somewhat of a collector and loved anything shiny, hence the name "little magpie" from her foster father, Matthew. She saw a very pretty framed picture of a man with his family, four children to be exact. The man seemed very strong, with a nice tan and short, wavy brown hair. She let her fingers gingerly touch the glass before turning to go back to Cassie.

December 25th, 2020

Christmas. Most children would pop out of their beds to go wake up their parents so they could go open presents and enjoy the holiday festivities. However, this was not Kara. She was very much not a morning person, so when someone called out that it was Christmas, both Kara and Cassie let out a groan, but unlike Cassie, she stayed in bed as the person got out of bed, got dressed, and left the room.

After sleeping for like, another hour, she finally decided to get up and get dressed into a simple off the shoulder shirt, and she stood there in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection gingerly, letting her fingers graze the now showing burn scar, but she sucked it up and left for the dining room, where all of the Ironwoods family was sitting.

Yawning and stretching she leaned down and gave Cassie a kiss on cheek before sitting down next to her smiling softly at their cute little blush on their cheeks.

"Morning Cassie, and others. I'm Cassie's, umm, we're not official yet, so you could say, kinda girlfriend. My name is Kara Capricorn, it's nice to meet you all. And of course, Merry Christmas." She sat down, looking at one other person sitting at the table with blue bangs. She gave Cassie a playful look.

"Apparently hair dye seems to be a running thing in your family!" She gave a slight laugh before starting to eat the in front of her. Her plate as of now consisted of bacon and two pancakes. Kara really didn't eat much, but it was enough to fill her up.

Outfit of the Day

In the middle of the chatter, Cash faintly heard someone climbed down the stairs. They smiled when Kara yawning and stretching. What the green eyes did not expect was the little kiss that landed on their cheek. A small clanking emitted from their fork that they accidentally dropped against the china plate.

The oldest of the three, Alex scooted a bit to the left to make space for Kara. Kara then greeted the others. "H-he-hey and good morning to you too"Cash stammered with little blush on their cheek. Ronnie snickering and Izzy just smile at the interaction while Venice looked at Kara burn scar unabashedly.

Alex had to clear her throat, a bit uncomfortable with how Venice stared at Kara. The purple hair knitted their eyebrow together. When they found out the reason why Alex clear her throat, Cash shot a dagger toward the older boy. "You know it is rude to stare at someone"They said with a bit of warning tone while biting then chewing a chunk of strip bacon.

Venice about to open his mouth but Alex cut in. "Stop the stare. It is creepy"She reprimand her brother. The purple hair smile at Alex as a way saying thank you. Kara then continue her introduction. She also said Merry Christmas to the others. Kara then uttered that both of the serpents are not official yet and Kara kinda Cash's girlfriend.

The Beater almost got choked from the orange juice that they about to drink. "Is that so? I mean you are beautiful"Ronnie stated. Cash frowned at that. "Find your own girlfriend"They growled out of annoyance. Ronnie let out a laugh and raised both of his hand in the air. "Chill, cousin! I am just teasing you"He smiled.

Kara made a comment about Ronnie's teal streak on his hair and Uncle Enzo let out a scoff. "I think it was ridiculous"He exclaimed. "Anyhow this is Uncle Enzo. My mothers' brother,"Cash pointed to the tan skinned man. "Alex."They told Kara as the older girl smile up to the short brown haired girl.

"The one that rudely stare at you, Venice"Cash continued. Venice nodded his head as a greeting to Kara. "The teal streak haired boy, Ronnie and lastly Isabella or for sort Izzy"The green eyes expressed as they pointed to the light brown haired girl. "This is the Ramiréz"Cash informed Kara. "My mother side of family"They concluded.

As the day turned into dusk, Cash wanted to take Kara for Christmas dinner but the second year did know where to take their kinda girlfriend. After asking Alex, Alex finally told the green eyes that she has a reservation but with how busy she is, she did not think she will use that anytime soon. So she told Cash to used it.

After Alex told the green eyes all the details, Cash told Kara where they will took her. A short drive later, both of them arrived at the restaurant. Cash told the maître de maison on whose behalf the reservation was for. The maître de maison nodded his head and bring both Cash and Kara into a secluded part of the restaurant.

When Cash saw what they see, they let out a gasp. The restaurant itself was beautiful. A trail of roses petals scattered on the sand. There also candle that being lit leading up to the two person chair that facing the ocean. Hanging lamps from the tree make the ambience more romantic.

Cash dragged Kara's side of the chair backward and gesture to Kara to be seated. Once Kara seated, Cash took the other side. The green eyes took in the view that laid in front of them. They can smell the sea breeze and the gentle of air that brushed their purple haired. "This sure was beautiful, wasn't it?"They inquired Kara.

The beater wait a moment for Kara to give her answer. After Kara give her reply, a young woman wearing white shirt, two pieces suit and a bowtie in maroon approached their table. The waitress give both of the serpents the menu. "I give you some time to decide. When you do, just ring the bell"The waiter said as she pointed the a bell with wooden handle.

After she said that, she turned around. Cash then glance at Kara after they read the menu. "I think I will order the lobster and shrimp bisque with saffron for the soup and for the main course, I will order Nova Scotia lobster on risotto of saffron. Also ice tea. How about you?"They asked and waiting for Kara answer.

Kara watched as a girl with long, curly black hair scooted a little to the left to give Kara some room, which was nice of her. She didn't know any of this family's names, except for Cassie of course, so she just gave her a quick thanks.

"H-he-hey and good morning to you too" Cassie said, trying not to give eye contact, but completely failing as Kara was still gazing at them softly.

Kara looked at the boy with blue hair as he was laughing quietly, snorts coming out every so often, and another girl, who seemed like the youngest there, was smiling from the cute gesture, so Kara waved at the dirty blonde girl with a small smile in response. However what Kara did not notice was some guy looking smack at the scar on her arm, but she felt like she was getting looked at, so she lightly tapped Cassie arm to inform them, and they got straight to business from that one.

"You know it is rude to stare at someone" They snapped, glaring daggers at the older man. The fact that he had seemed quite older made her more uncomfortable, but like she was gonna let that get to her.

"Yes, it would be much appreciated. And it is rude to add onto the offence." Kara gave the man a look that made her usual warm chocolate gaze very hard and steely.

The man tried opening his mouth, maybe to apologize, but most likely to rebuke, but the girl that had moved to she could sit down spoke up suddenly.

"Stop the stare. It is creepy" She said, letting her own opinion, and almost in sinc, the two Slytherins turned their heads to thank the girl, but Cassie only smiled, which Kara dipped her head in acknowlegdement.

Kara sighed from the awkward encounter, but continued on, mentioned that the two were dating, but not completely official. They were both going one step at a time.

"Is that so? I mean you are beautiful" The blue haired boy piped up with a smirk.

The remark made Kara blush slightly, but her glare still was there. She was still somewhat taken, so it made her question whether or not the boy fully understood the whole "romance" thing.

"Find your own girlfriend"

"Chill, cousin! I am just teasing you" The boy laughed, throwing his hands up, so Kara made a quick rebuke.

"From what I know about you right now, you are going to have quite some difficulty in the dating game my friend." Kara laughed, then mentioned the blue hair. Hair dye seemed to be a thing in Cassie's family.

"I think it was ridiculous" The man who she had now come to know as Uncle Enzo, thanks to Cassie, had scoffed while rolling his eyes.

"Anyhow this is Uncle Enzo. My mothers' brother," The tan man who had spoke up gave her a small nod, to which she returned, "Alex." She smiled at the girl with black curls, and Alex smiled back.

"The one that rudely stare at you, Venice" He also gave a simple nod in greeting, but Kara did her own very abruptly, "The teal streak haired boy, Ronnie and lastly Isabella or for sort Izzy. These are the Ramiréz, my mother side of family"

Kara smiled. It was quite a large family, and Kara own's was very interwoven, but she knew very few of her own biological family, so it was new to her to see so many people all with many similarities in looks and persona.

"Well, it's nice to meet you all. It'll be difficult to remember all your names, but I'll sure try!"

Apparently, Cassie was planning to take Kara somewhere, which made Kara happy, of course, but they had no idea where, but luckily, Alex had reservations and couldn't go cause because she was busy, which sucked, as it was Christmas day.

Cassie had told her about the place they were going, and it sounded good to Kara, so she was in on the idea. The two had gone in a taxi to get to where they were supposed to go, Kara staring out the window looking for places where she could get some good photos.

When they had walked up to the person at the front door, Kara was just staring in awe at the building in front of her, not even listening to Cassie sign them both in. The two lover's hands were entwined, and Kara's eyes batted around at the beautiful architecture of the place around her. Honestly, Kara was kinda poor so she had never seen anything like this before, much less go inside at eat at one!

As Kara was spaced out, she got pulled forward by Cassie, who was being led by a man in a suit. Very fancy. As the two were led, they were taken to the back side of the restaurant, and eventually to a secluded place, where the man left them, and Kara's jaw dropped.

It was a very romantic aura around the two snakes. A trail of rose petals led to a table clothed in white satin and lamps were attached to the overhang of a tree that laid over the table. And of course, there was a beautiful ocean view, which made Kara really excited.

"Oh my goodness, thank God I brought my camera here!" Kara exclaimed, running to the edge, taking a few test photos before actually taking one that she thought was really good (Photo).

After Cassie had set up the chairs, she showed them the photo.

"Do you like it? I really like photography, so I've gotten quite a bit of practice over the years, but it still needs some work." She flicked through a few of the other photos she's taken before, but she then finally sat down.

"This sure is beautiful, isn't it?" Cassie inquired.

"Oh yes, very much so. I'm so lucky to be here right now. I can't thank you enough for letting me come here with you. I mean, I'm in a whole different country right now! I never thought I'd never be able to travel abroad, let alone to South America!" Kara was really excited about this trip the moment she was asked. She had always wanted to travel the world, and she was stoked to start so early in her life.

After her words, a woman dressed the same as the man who had led them here appeared. She gave them both menus and set a bell onto the table.

"I give you some time to decide. When you do, just ring the bell"

Kara said "ok" and looked at the menu. Everything looked really good, but Kara and seafood for some reason didn't mix. Whenever she ate it, she felt sick immediately after. She wasn't allergic to seafood, she just didn't particularly like it.

"I think I will order the lobster and shrimp bisque with saffron for the soup and for the main course, I will order Nova Scotia lobster on risotto of saffron. Also ice tea. How about you?" Cassie glanced at Kara, before she answered.

"I will have the Bistretto style steak crusted with peppercorns, white wine, mustard sauce, and a side of fries with it. And as a drink, I'll just have water, thank you." She closed the menu, then the waitress took them both from the two.

"I'll take those off your hands and your food will be here in maybe twenty minutes." After that, the lady left, leaving Cassie and Kara alone together.

Kara rested her head on one of her hands, her elbow propped up on the table, and she looked out towards to ocean.

"Thanks a lot for taking me here Cassie."


Kara and Cassie had their food, and were about to leave, and Kara took one last look at the breathtaking view. Everything was paid for, and the two were hand in hand, about to leave, till the passed under one branch, and something caught Kara's attention, so she stopped.

"Hey Cassie, look up."

When Cassie ever did, Kara did as well, and in her view was a very curious plant.

Mistletoe.

Kara let her head drop down to Cassie's eye level, and she gave Cassie a look with sparkling eyes. After that, Kara looked around, it was a beautiful scene, leaves gently falling on them due to the soft breeze, the waves were calm and there was an orange and pink backdrop due to an amazing sunset.

Kara took a deep breath, she couldn't believe she was planning this. This would be her first kiss, but she really did it. Leaning forward, her lips ghosting Cassie's, till they finally pressed against them gently. They were soft, and Kara was in a whole other world, nothing else mattered right now. Time seemed to stop, that was until she pulled away, her lips slightly parted as she gasped for breath, needing oxygen.

"Merry Christmas Cassie!"
