A night for beginnings
Haley was now standing directly in front of Simon and her gaze wandered down his body and she couldn't get out of her amazement. She knew that Simon was handsome and she also knew that he would look crazy good in a suit but Simon was more than handsome. His suit was the perfect color for Haley's dress, and from that alone it would have been easy to tell that the two were here together this evening. She was at a loss for words, so she looked back up into his face, her mouth slightly open in amazement, and grinned broadly at him. Haley's cheeks turned red at Simon's comment. "Thanks. You don't look bad yourself." She gave him a quick wink and laughed. Then she paused for a moment, looked Simon up and down again, and spoke softly to him "You look.. fantastic."
She linked her arm with his, "Thank you, Mr. Kincaid," and smiled softly to herself. As they walked to the ballroom she looked to her right at Simon with a huge smile on her lips, already feeling incredibly grateful for this evening. She straightened her gaze now and caught sight of the room. Wow. The room was beautiful. The many red and white roses, tablecloths in white with gold rim, the music and all the beautiful looking people Haley could see. She could hardly stop marveling and was impressed how one of the students could put it all together.
Her gaze continued around the room and she smiled at all the unfamiliar faces. Until she came across a familiar one. She had recognized the green hair at first sight and she had to think of her first encounter with Sarah. Like so many other acquaintances, the two met at the girls Lavatory - bathroom allergic - Haley thought to herself and had to grin. She waited until Sarah met her gaze smiled and gave her a quick wave.
Her attention quickly turned back to Simon and although she should have gotten used to the sight of him in a suit by now, that was not the case. Her first thought was again how good Simon looked. He always looked good but today was just special. "I hope you're ready to dance everyone into the ground later." She winked at him and laughed. Since the last time they danced in the corridor she couldn't wait to dance with Simon again. Even if dancing wasn't the only thing she hoped for tonight she knew it would definitely happen. But even if it would stay with one dance that would be okay for her. The most important thing was that she could spend the evening together with Simon.
At her thought Haley became a bit nervous and she unconsciously started to play with her ring on her index finger again while she continued to take in all the details she hadn't noticed the first time.

The small smile fell off his features as he watched a random girl walk up to them. It seemed that the two knew each other with the way she stood by Miller. Percival felt a frown worm its way onto his face as she introduced herself. From the way she introduced herself without a last name it was rather clear she must be a mudblood. Half-blood at best. He would soon be proven right as she hesitantly added onto her sentence. Percival didn't understand why someone would be proud of their inferior heritage. He wasn't. The thought soured his tongue and facial expression just in time for the girl's compliment. Looking as if he had taken offense to her compliment instead of his inner thoughts. Percival didn't turn his head as the girl disappeared from his peripheral view. Opting instead to give Miller a questioning look. He found it weird that Miller, a Pureblood, would know a mudblood on a personal level. "You two know each other?" he would ask the boy his face betraying his dislike of the idea.
Percival was glad to hear that the other thought his outfit was nice. The boy hadn't been too sure about his new shirt, but it seemed to work. "And you as well." he said giving the other a once over before smiling. The boy's outfit was simplistic but nice. Percival didn't like the idea of pairing white with white, but he thought the other pulled it off quite well. The boy gripped the edge of his left sleeve. Tugging it straight as he listened to the other speak. "I can't say that I have." he said simply. He wondered if that was the savory scent he had picked up earlier. Percival made a mental note to try the dish that Miller raved on about.
The boy glanced up as a new voice spoke up surprisingly close to them. Bright green caught his eyes almost immediately upon looking at the strange boy. Studying the boy didn't provide him any clues on exactly who this boy was. Bright green hair was quite hard to miss. Even if it was just passing someone in the halls. He began to wonder exactly who this boy was. Curiosity swirled inside him growing stronger with every passing moment and he could not help but wish to sate it. Percival stood up straighter a frown crossing his features as he listened to the other drag Miller's pride through the mud. The boy would be lying if he said he didn't find it a bit amusing to watch the other get verbally bashed. Though he couldn't get past the way the boy had rudely barged in to their conversation, and only with the purpose to reprimand the host. "Are you sure you aren't projecting? I highly doubt your family approves of you having a lime for a head." he said in a harsh tone. Percival narrowed his eyes as the boy asked for his name in a slow drawn out tone. "Rainwood. Percival Rainwood." he stated with practiced ease. "And who might you be?" he asked the green-haired boy.

It seems the complimented that the green eyes throw at Kara made her blush. Cash smiled at the adorable sight before them. Ever since their father gone and their mother lack of presence in their life, a smile was rarely presence on their face. But thanks to this enticing girl, Cash smiled even more.
The green eyes sometimes forgot what it feel like to just be content and happy. After Cash said that to Kara, the brown haired girl turned her head for a fleeting moment but then she turned it back. Kara told them that she was not sure about the dress she is wearing. She informed the purple haired she rarely use pink.
The last time Kara wear something pink when she was younger. "Well don't"Cash uttered to Kara about her hesitance for the dress that she wear. "Like I said earlier, the dress fit you perfectly and you look lovely in that dress"Cash assured Kara. From where they were seated, people keeping coming and coming.
Cash saw that Simon entered the ball with his date. Wearing matching outfit. It seem all the couples decided to wear similar tone to match their date outfits. Cash smiled knowingly at the fact. Then stand near the door was Michael himself with Paige. The two of them having a small talk until Percival walked in.
Cash can senses that some kind of drama about to brewed in this very dance. Cash watched the trio interacted with one another. From what they are seeing, it seems the trio had a bit confrontation with one another. Did Michael really invited those two? Cash questioned themselves.
If so, Michael could probably will be in some short of trouble that he started within himself. Cash had to sigh at the upcoming train wreck. Young people could be reckless sometimes, though Cash was not so different from the trio. Well technically they are. Since the Beater is in their Second Year. They kept watching the door as more people keep coming.
One particular person Cash was hoping to see still was not present still. Cash wonder when Henry will show up. They wonder who their best mate will bring to this Ball. After watching the door for some times, Cash turned their attention back toward Kara. The green eyes had been asking Kara, make sure she did not overwhelmed by the event both of them part take at the moment.
Kara seems concerned and out of her element. Cash feel a bit bad for her. But they pushed it aside and listened to what Kara said. The brown haired informed Cash that she is a half-blood and she never knew the whole pureblood thing. Kara then stated that she should not been here. What Kara said to the green eyes, make their stomach dropped.
But Cash hide it with their smile and still listened what Kara said to them with rapped attention. When Kara asked if is there any superiority complex that she should know about, Cash begin to formulated their answered in their mind. Cash will do their best to explained to Kara without offending any blood status.
Kara then questioned the Beater if Pureblood is a higher status in the wizarding world. After Kara done with her question, Cash took a silence for a minute. Deliberated of what they will say to Kara. "Well,"They began. Truth to be told Cash did not like this particular subject to be discussed but Cash will assured Kara that she had nothing to worry about.
"In wizarding world there are 3 type of blood titles"They said. "They are Pureblood, Half-Blood and Muggle-Born"They continued. "Some Pureblood might think Half-blood and Muggle-Born are inferiorities"They expressed and eying Eden. They know what the boy view on Muggle-Born or who is lesser than him.
"Some, like me for an example, I am a Pureblood"Cash said the 'Pureblood' part with a bit distasted. It left sour taste in their mouth. Not they are not proud to be Pureblood but there a lot of high expectations when you have that title. As they explained it more and more to Kara, Cash can feel they disliked of what they were saying.
"In my own opinion, I do not care which title you held but some others might care"They expressed it to Kara. Hoping their answered assuring Kara in some way. "Is there some superiority complex?"Cash parroted what Kara asked from them. "Uh.. umm-"Cash discomforted for this particular subject grew.
"To be honest, yes there are but I did not hold that kind of superiority and view"Their mind drifted toward their own father. How their father tolerated some of Half-Blood but hate Muggle-Borns with passion.
"Can we change the topic? I am not too particularly fond talking about blood titles"They finally told Kara and let out a breath that suffocated them. The green eyes then stand up and hold their hand out to Kara. "Fancy a dance, Miss Capricorn?"Cash inquired Kara.
The music is nice enough for both the Second Year to dance to and they itched to get out from the discussion. When Kara accepted their invitation for a dance, Cash will lead Kara to the dance floor.

Interacting briefly with @Haley RosePaige poured herself a drink and took a sip. She didn't really mind that Michael invited another, she just didn't know what that meant. She's never had a date to a ball before, so she could never know what any of it means. I should apologize. Paige also felt stupid for not knowing what it meant. She looked over at Michael and saw a green haired boy talking to him. She frowned. I'm guessing, green haired dude is a pureblood? She wanted to go back. She wanted to be with Michael because she liked being with him. He had told her things about him and so had Paige that they usually kept to them selves.
She filled two more cups and walked over before stopping. She turned and saw one of her closest friends, @Simon Kincaid. And with him was a red head girl. She nodded to Simon with a smile. She had known that much. "Hey Simon, you guys look absolutely great!" She turned to Simon's date. " I'm Paige. Paige Chase. Who might you be?" She would wait for the girl's answer before waving and carrying on.
She was next to Michael and the boy. She held out the two new cups she had brought.

The more time that passed, the more of the guests filled the room. It was no longer just the beautiful sound of piano and violin, but the exciting chatter of the people who had just arrived. There were far too many faces - faces of whom Eden had never ever seen or came in contact with before. It was fulfilling, really. At least half of these peers were just like him; pure, gallant and formal. Everything he ever wished to accompany himself with. Excluding the rest who, of course, did not have the honour of sharing such ancient and magical blood.
He remained in solitude for a while and toured the ballroom on his own. His hands resting behind his straight back. His head held up high and eyes gazing at the portraits and glimmering decorations. His ears careful for every sound of classical music. But of course, he couldn't miss out on the words and whispers happening in the room. He had already walked away from the main entrance immediately after deciding to poke at Henry's outfit, just so he could hear what everyone was saying in the centre of it all. There were conversations of which he had decided to completely ignore simply because they were far too boring or dull to pay attention to. However, there seemed to be some sort of minor commission. And without a doubt, Eden had to be a part of it.
His white hair gleamed in the light as he walked with proper posture and formal etiquette. The red and gold of his tunic catching the eyes of many - without a doubt. His boots tapped on the floor and stopped at a halt once he had included himself within the group of people having a chatter of sorts. Michael Miller was a part of it, and therefore, Eden used his presence as an excuse to why he had specifically decided to join this group of people.
"Grand atmosphere you've created, Miller. Don't think anyone could ever top this." Eden tended to be more polite around Michael. He was, after all, the founder of their club, a pure-blood, and a Slytherin. And as far as Eden knew, he had never ever disrespected him - unlike some other folk who talked behind his back. That was all Eden ever asked for, but everyone seemed to make fun of his ideas and opinions. Not that he really cared much for the opinion of sheep, of course.
There was even talk of mudbloods and their presence at the ball. Eden bit his tongue before he lashed out and went on a thousand-word rant on why they shouldn't even be at Hogwarts in the first place. But, wishing to respect Michael both as a friend and a host, he kept quiet and simply reacted to what the green-haired older fellow had to say. He seemed like the type of person Eden would stay away from. That hair, Merlin almighty. It looked like a ghost's ectoplasm on top of someone's head. It probably smelled and tasted like it too. Yuck. Eden's lips mushed in disgust as he tried his best to release the thought of it.
"Lovely brooch you've got there too," he then proceeded to take a more detailed look at the white flower Michael had tucked away in his vest. "They remind me of home. We've got plenty of white roses in our gardens - and no, I'm not talking about myself."

Sarah let a smile slip onto her features as her eyes casually took in the girl in front of her. Paige looked wonderful, and bar the slight shake in her voice, looked perfectly at place in the ballroom. “You shouldn’t be, just try and enjoy yourself,” Sarah reasoned, though something inside of her seemed to think there perhaps was something the younger girl should be worried about. She shook the thought and thanked her for the compliment. “You look beautiful. You’d fit right into an obnoxious Pure-Blood ball,” She said, grinning as she allowed herself to take in the girl’s navy gown once more. She offered a small wave as the girl dismissed herself and smiled, hoping the night was everything the girl seemed to be wishing for. Though a few moments later, she wasn’t so sure.
To the Slytherin, it was clear what had happened, and she didn’t like it one bit. Perhaps, it was because she was an avid people watcher and as such, often able to pick up social cues that some others couldn’t. Now, when it came to her using them herself, that was a different story. But she could see what was happening, maybe even just before it did.
She’d noticed the nervous excitement between Michael and the boy in the admittedly fabulous velvet shirt. The boy seemed cautious, but smiling, and Michael all but beamed. It was clear that there was something there, even had Sarah not overheard the boy’s thanks for his invitation. She cringed inwardly as she watched Paige stop at Michael’s side. “Oh Merlin,” She muttered to herself as she realised the foolish Slytherin had clearly invited both to the ball. She watched as Paige walked away from the pair of boys, with a smile Sarah could tell from personal experience was forced. She didn’t really know the girl, only having spoken a few times, but she felt terrible for her. At least when the Slytherin looked back at Michael, he had the grace to look guilty.
There was a moment when she considered going over to him and asking him to explain what he’d done, but causing a scene wasn’t what she’d planned for this evening. She’d had more than her fair share of ball dramas – most of them beginning with her arguing with her father – and wasn’t about to purposefully start another.
When Haley and Simon arrived, Sarah’s thoughts were momentarily pulled away from Paige and the situation she was mildly angry about. They looked wonderful beside one another and she grinned when Haley met her eye. Despite the mild discomfort she still felt being near the girl – she had seen her broken down on a bathroom floor after all – she gave her a friendly wave and a polite nod, making a note to go and speak to her at some point.
Seeing Paige approach the couple, then make her way back over to Michael, and the two others which now stood with him, she sighed. A part of her wanted to walk over there, make sure Paige was okay – apparently she felt protective over the first year. But she also realised that interrupting and sticking her nose where it didn’t need to be, didn’t always help matters. She decided to stay put for now, letting her eyes flick around the room from person to person.
Then Eden approached the small group and Sarah’s interest was piqued once more. The boy was seemingly obnoxious and self-righteous, but then again, she’d met plenty of Pure-Blood children who were the same. It wasn’t always their fault, but their parent’s. she wondered whether that was the cause with Gardener. She walked over to them, crossing the ballroom with the practised grace of a dancer. She came to a stop a few feet from them, grabbing a drink form the table as an excuse to overhear the conversation. It was likely obvious what she was doing, but the Slytherin likely wouldn’t care if she was caught. It seemed almost impossibly obvious that she was eavesdropping when Eden’s comment made her snort. Likening himself to the white roses of his garden – Sarah couldn’t tell whether he was making a joke or being obtuse. She gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Her cover was blown and so she decided to just turn and address Eden directly. "The roses, I'm sure, hold nothing on you," She said, a smile on her face which bordered on playful teasing and a smirk. She wasn't certain whether her words had been sarcastic or a simple expansion of his joke. She thought it best not to linger on it.

Talking with @Haley Rose, far too brief of interaction with @Paige Chase, kinda sorta mentioning @Sarah Lightwood , and @Michael Miller

"I'm just afraid I might show you up," he teased with a smile. Haley mentioned dancing later and certainly he planned to do just that because it was a dance but honestly judging from their little rehearsal dance in the Third Floor corridors he knew that it would be the other way around. Simon knew enough to make them look like one of the best couples out there but it was Haley who exceled between the two.
Simon finally forced himself to pry his gaze from his date which was not easy to do and he scanned the large room for familiar faces. He saw those he met in the first P.U.R.E. meeting, Michael, and he knew Paige would be there. She had somewhat inquired about Haley over the holiday break. In asking him who he was going to go to the dance with, he had told her that there was a particular redhead but hadn't said too much more. He wanted to introduce the two to one another - the girl that was always on his mind and one that was one of his closest friends at Hogwarts.
He didn't have to look long as Paige approached. He would have made the introduction but Paige did so and he smiled to her. She said her name, asked of Haley's, and then disappeared as suddenly as she had come but with a cup in each hand he figured she was getting drinks for her and her date.
"Paige is one of my closest friends here at school," he added to Haley so it didn't seem awkward that she came and went without any more explanation. "We even went on a date over the holiday. Don't start getting jealous now," he said and laughed. "She beat me in a competition and the loser had to buy the other lunch. I opted for dinner and ice skating and took a train out to Hampshire to meet her." But even that very day Haley had still been on his mind so she needn't worry about the 'date' between two friends.
"Okay, so...important choice. Perhaps the most important choice of the evening," although he was quite certain it actually wasn't. "...Refreshments THEN dancing or dancing THEN refreshments?" And he sighed and glance off as if this was the biggest life affirming decision that Haley would ever make in her lifetime.

Haley laughed at Simon's comment and playfully rolled her eyes. "You wish." She said challengingly and had to laugh again. That was one of the qualities, among so many, that she so enjoyed about Simon. The nonchalance, the humor, and that they could make such jokes with each other. Haley was brought out of her thoughts again when a girl introduced herself. She smiled at her and was in love with her dress. It was blue and beautifully embellished and looked amazing on her. "I love your dress, it looks amazing on you!" said Haley to the girl who introduced herself as Paige. "I'm Haley Rose." She smiled after her as she continued on her way.
Haley was surprised at the brief Meeting but didn't take it negatively. "A date? I had no idea you were such a Casanova." Haley looked at Simon with a raised eyebrow and started laughing. "That sounds like a nice day. I'll definitely have to remember that trick for our next snowball fight." She joked. She was curious what Paige would be like but she was sure she must be a great person if she and Simon were such good friends.
"Oh, wow, Simon." She looked at him startled "you can't give me such a difficult decision." Haley was not a good in acting off and quickly started laughing again. She would prefer to dance directly with Simon and do nothing else all evening but she thought it would be the smartest choice to go for the refreshment first and move on to dancing later. "After much consideration, I think it's the best choice to come back to the refreshment first and then devote ourselves to dancing." She made an expression as if she wasn't sure about her decision and as if she was reconsidering it but quickly smiled at him to signal to Simon that she was only joking.
Haley glanced around the room looking for something to drink and could see a punch bowl on a table. She carefully grabbed Simon's hand and pulled him lightly behind her to get them each a glass with the drink.

The first faux pas Kazuo noted was the host's inattentive behaviour toward his guests. Though he welcomed those who approached him, Michael quickly abandoned his position, first to play his violin, then to engage with the muggleborn girl, Paige. It appeared that she was his date. Yet rather than accompany him in his duties as host, he had abandoned them to accompany her.Open to interactions
The second faux pas came in the form of inviting two dates to the ball. The entrance of one Percival Rainwood, an immaculately dressed pureblood, causing a bit of awkward friction. He couldn't help but to smirk in amusement. Who invited two dates? A muggleborn and a pureblood no less?
As he fetched himself a drink, he made note of the others as they arrived, the couples looking adorably awkward while the singles seemed to drift about, unsure of what to do. A few exceptions, such as Sarah and Karlina who appeared to know exactly how these affairs would go.
Then there was Isaac. Kazuo did not recognize this green-haired older student though he felt that surely he should have noticed him before. That hair was simply impossible to not notice. And those eyes… were not natural. His lips curled upward, curiosity and anticipation tugging them into a smile. He approached as Isaac decided to reprimand Michael for faux pas number three - talking with his mouth full. In front of his date no less. The date who decided to defend Michael with a quip about the newcomer's hair color.
The peacock joined the fray with false flattery for the host and a sad attempt at a joke about being a rose. Was that why the boy had chosen to drown himself in rose-scented perfume? He caught Sarah's snort, gaze shifting to her as she seemed equally amused by Eden's posturing and her response to Eden drew a chuckle from Kazuo. It appeared Sarah was no stranger to the art of backhanded compliments.
It seemed Isaac's little lecture had rallied the troops around Michael. Interesting. "No need to ruffle feathers." Kazuo offered a calm, placating tone, one he had often heard his father use. "I believe the intention was one of learning? And surely even purebloods can have things they need to learn when they are still children? Perhaps Miller-san's club would benefit from an older, more experienced pureblood such as yourself to educate him and his members on the proper etiquette required for such events?" He offered his words with a benign smile, taking the opportunity to better study Isaac.

It was just a few days she joined this PURE club, well first she thought it was a pure-blood club only for them but turns out there are other mixes, god if her dad found out so it's better to keep that to herself as long as she doesn't talk with muggle-borns than its alright right?
she wore her dress it was simple since it isn't really a ball it's just the broke version of it so what's the point in going fully out, she wore her black dress not giving a single damn if it doesn't match the theme, The dress fit her perfectly hugging her every curve in the right ways, she sprayed her expensive woman cologne that made her smell like cold rose and sea breeze.
she loved the smell it really shows the type of person she is cold and not friendly giving boss woman vibes, she applied her classic red lipstick silver rings including her heirloom ring and a crescent moon necklace. She had made her way to the ballroom noticing the waltz music she followed the music till she saw open doors.
she scanned the room with her sharp icy eyes noticing how everyone was wearing light colours and all in gowns, one word she can describe it...Pathetic. she didn't care that she was wearing black they can all stare if they want maybe even take notes on how to get dressed like a proper pureblood, not some cheap pureblood wannabes.
Her eyes laid upon a specific pair of couple, marking them, purple hair in a greek outfit and another one in a simple baby pink, she knew who it was the purple-haired demon the one and only cash or in other words Cassandra ironwoods and from what it looks like she has a date, well at least Katherine knew shes gonna have to meet them.
She walked over to their table with all poise and elegance like the models on the catwalk, she had also noticed other people, more like people who can't stand her but she also didn't care they could hate all they want it's not like she'll cry at the very end it's them that will cry, she just decided she won't interact with them for the sanity of her brain.
she had reached her table when she heard a certain nickname used for cash, cassie she wanted to bust out laughing, she just kept a straight face and decided to use it against cash or shall I say cassie. she spoke with confidence in her tone"well hello there cassie and from what it looks like it cassies date, must I say you look completely astonishing tonight the pink is a good colour on you, sorry I'm cassies friend Katherine, Katherine Labrouder and you must be..",
she looked at cashs date then back at cash leaving a devilish smirk on her face, she knew cash won't like it but Katherine would take her chances, Katherine still had her icy sharp eyes on she spoke to cash"well no need to get jealous you also look wonderful in this greek outfit, who knows it might end with a greek tragedy at this point I'm starting to think your psychic cash",
she grinned yet had the same facial features on she waited for cash and her date to respond then after a bit she would respond and end their small interaction by saying"well ill stop bothering you wonderful couple and by stop bothering you I mean cassies partner, but other than that enjoy ur evening in whatever this is",
she would give off a smirk and a small wink to cash, shed then walk off and notice the very own host of this cheap ball getting what was the word made fun off. shed walk with complete elegance and head up high, shed stop and face the trio, she noticed another guy with quite of a funky hair colour throw something at Michael.
she had her classic devil smirk and sharp icy eyes she entered softly and spoke"I hope I wasn't interrupting anything, I am a new member of this um..", badly done" club. even though I thought it had only purebloods but again I must be mistaken by the title, I'm Katherine, Katherine labrouder and you handsome gentlemen must be..",
she paused looking at the brown-haired one that was standing near the owner of the club Michael was his name she assumed, then she looked at the lime haired boy, but instead she still had her devilish smirk yet warm eyes almost flirty, she made sure to make eye contact with him a bit longer than the other one then her gaze fell back at Michael.
"Well if I must say this ball is almost neatly done I couldn't say perfect of course I mustn't lie that's obviously the first rule in the pureblood families, obviously you knew that but I'm not sure you knew that you shouldn't stuff your mouth while being firstly a host of the ball and secondly in the middle of the ball, but I won't blame you, I think you didn't know",
she spoke knowing exactly that she offended him but in a poised way, not too cocky she obviously didn't show it she had her smirk on, but yet sharp icy eyes marked on him, she had a straight posture while talking to them, not making their interaction too long she would have wrapped it up by saying" well anyways I came here to thank you for the invite and enjoy your night I mean all of you",
she looked at each one and again leaving her gaze a tiny bit longer on the lime haired boy making her eyes soft enough and flirty. she knew what she was doing, she then would have walked away and got a drink, she took small sips of it, she noticed a girl sitting at the corner her dress was questionable definitely questionable for Katherine, didn't she have time to do something to her own dress why was it so basic and white.
she obviously didn't show it, she needed company she eyed the girl in white and would give her a smirk, then look at the empty seat next to her and then take another sip of her drink, hopefully, the girl in white would notice, understand and accept kaths invite after all Katherine was bored and ready to cause a little chaos and maybe even raise hell.
