Flash was glad, he felt he could trust her honesty with him. It was refreshing, to not have to feel so paranoid all the time. In fact, Bridget had that in common with Evelynn and Anastasia both. All of them put him at ease, made him forget the dreary reality around him. Nothing was more dreary than a soggy game that went on for a long time. At this point, he worried about their health, what with how soaked and battered by the rain they were by then. Certainly some games were simply harder than others.
With the dramatic final hit leading into a last second catch, rather than a roar in the crowd, there was something more like a sigh of relief. Finally, they could all go inside and get warm. It was a memorable match for sure, and even though Flash was glad that Evelynn and Anastasia's efforts had paid off, he couldn't help but be disappointed that the effort put in by the Slytherin team hadn't. Though their Seeker clinched it in the end, the overall better performance had been the Slytherin plays. So much so that the score had still been close. If they had managed to knock out Anastasia one turn sooner... certainly Gryffindor would have had no hope.
Alas, things don't always go the way their planned to. That was life. He certainly wouldn't have put the blame on Dan's shoulders. While catching the snitch would have won them the game at any point, the structure was still there for success beyond just a snitch grab. That showed he didn't rely on just one thing going right, unlike how Gryffindor seemed very singularly focused. He used their predictability against them, though it mattered little when the team struggled to hit their targets in the rain. Overall, a very revealing match, though once the loss hit him, also a bit bitterly disappointing.
"A shame. Better luck next time, I suppose." Flash sighed his words, a more expressive face than he would usually portray. "Thank you for keeping me company."
With a gracious smile, Flash would convey the pleasure her company brought him. It had been an unforeseen perk to their relationship that she happened to be as interested in sports as he was. Not only that, but it seemed she enjoyed them for very similar reasons. Once they said their goodbyes, Flash would either walk her back to the castle or go their separate ways. Being indoors and warm were his instant priorities.

@Flash Holmwood
At long last, the game was over. It wasn't the ending she'd been hoping for, and the loss was certainly disappointing--it was their second loss to Gryffindor, which was two too many--but it was hard to be annoyed for long around Flash. It could have been worse, after all. Even if the loss itself would hurt their chances at the end of the season, those 110 points were nothing to scoff at. They could easily be a deciding factor in tie-breaking at the end of the season.
Evelynn was clearly talented, she'd give her that; if she could catch the Snitch while falling, then maybe she deserved the win. Even though Dan's performance as a Seeker had been far from impressive, he had shown a pretty solid strategy. And what had she said to Flash not that long ago? The whole point of teams was to work together, to play off each other's strengths, to make up for when one person was off their game. Slytherin had still played quite well as a whole, so that had to count for something. Like he said, better luck next time. Their skill and strategy would pay off eventually.
She returned Flash's smile. Having him there as she adjusted to merely spectating had helped. She had nothing else to do out here and no desire to stay in the rain, so she walked back to the castle with him. Who knew, maybe someday she'd be watching him play, but for now she was glad to just have a common interest not remotely related to hags or curses.
