Interacting with:@Simon KincaidAction: Meeting Simon at the top of the staircase
Haley stood in her dorm in front of the mirror. Her hair had just dried and she began to get ready for tonight. With each passing hour as the evening approached, she became more nervous. Her heart seemed to beat faster with every minute and her palms became sweatier. Ever since Simon had asked her to be his date for the ball, she had been looking forward to this evening. She was looking forward to making more moments and memories here at Hogwarts, but especially memories with Simon. She was looking forward to them dancing again and spending the evening with this boy she thought about so often.

Haley let her long orange hair down and took a section of the front hair and braided it in the back. Her hair was curly as always and went almost to her belly button. She turned around and looked at her bed and looked at her dress for this evening. Blood red came into Haley's head and she had to grin. She put the dress on and examined herself in the mirror. A quick glance at the clock told her that she was too early, so she took her mascara and put some on her eyelashes and sat down on her bed again. Her eyes fell on the small table next to her bed and there she saw her ring, which she had taken off to shower. Since she got the ring, there was not a day when she didn't wear it and so she would wear it today. She took the silver snake from the table and put it on her index finger.

Haley looked at the clock again, but she was too impatient to wait another 10 minutes. She got up and left her dorm, the common room and then stood in front of the grand staircase. The Gryffindor common room was on the fifth floor and to get to the ballroom she would only have to go down one floor. She knew that she would surely be five minutes earlier than agreed but she didn't mind.

With every step she took she became a little more nervous, but she had no reason to be. Haley didn't know if she would know anyone at the ball except Simon, but that never bothered her and it didn't bother her today. She was going to the ball to spend the evening together with Simon but she was also looking forward to meeting some of Simon's friends and just having a fun evening. Still there was no reason to be nervous but she was.

Her right hand was resting on the banister and she enjoyed the coldness radiating from it and held on to it lightly. Her last wish would have been to embarrass herself in front of everyone and fall down the stairs. She could already hear the soft music and after a few steps she surprisingly saw a boy who was not unknown to her. All at once the complete nervousness was gone. Although Haley was early, Simon was already standing there waiting for her. Haley's lips formed a huge smile and her feet picked up the pace so she would get to the bottom of the stairs faster.

When she got to the last step she stood in front of Simon and at that moment she didn't know what to say. Her big grin was still on her lips as she looked Simon in the eye. "Um, hey!" she greeted him and had to laugh a little.

When Michael announced there will be a Ball for the club they recently joined. Cash smiled from ear to ear. One person in particular popped into the green eyes mind. So when the chance occurred, Cash had asked Kara to be their date for this specific ball. Cash had owled their mother to sent one of their outfit that they have not got the chance to wear.

So, when the owl arrived; the purple haired eager to wear it. Before going back to school after New Year, Cash's mother was kind and had time for them enough to teach them how to braid their hair. Cash wear their outfit one by one. The first was the floor length white gown that inspired by Ancient Greek style. Next they put on the golden leaf arm cuff on their right arm.

Then they tied the Gladiator like sandals on both of their feet. Next they style their hair and now the green eyes sporting a side braid. The rest of their purple haired they decided to let it loose. To complete the look they wear a golden leaves headpiece that matched the arm cuff on their right arm.

The headpiece have a band that separate the left and right side but they cover it with their hair. Once Cash finished putting all their outfit together, they took a last glance at the full body mirror in their dorm before exiting their dorm and passed the Slytherin Common Room. They climbed up where the Ball will be held.

Upon arriving at the Ballroom, Cash heard a soft melody of waltz in the air and someone playing violin beautifully. Cash took a deep breath to calm their inner nerves. The green eyes had been to countless of balls, galas, and feasts before but somehow this Ball make them nervous more than ever.

"Steady heart"They said softly to themselves while walking into the Ballroom. Then they stepped into the Ballroom. First what they saw was the decoration for the Ball itself. Michael had decorated it beautifully. Their eyes then scanned the room. Some of their club mates already gathered into this little Ball.

Some going solo and some bring their own dates. They smile from ear to ear when they saw Kara. The Beater then approached the host, Michael. "You outdone yourself, Michael"They stated. "If you ever need someone to play the piano, let me know"Cash added after eying the student that sat behind the piano.

After Cash said that to Michael; it is time to face the music, so to speak. Cash then walked toward Kara after Kara signaled them over to the table she seating at and gesture to the empty chair beside her. The purple haired taking in what Kara wear. A soft pink gown that fit perfectly for her.

The short brown haired girl saying something to the green eyes but Cash to enchanted by her to know what Kara say exactly to them. "No problem. The pleasure is all mine to bring such gorgeous date to this Ball"They replied. Cash hoping their answer connected to what Kara said to them.

"Thanks and you look just.. wow"Cash for a moment lost for words and there a tint of blush on their face. "You do too. That dress fit you perfectly"They complimented Kara. "I hoped you are not overwhelmed by this"They uttered.

The Beater did not know if Kara used to attend a Ball as lavish as the one both of them are in or not. Cash then took a sit beside Kara and watch the Ball from where they seated with Kara by their side.

Karlina had attended hundreds of balls throughout her privileged childhood and she was determined to believe this one would be no different. There was a familiarity that accompanied getting ready for an important event, and she ached for it despite never having enjoyed such events before. She supposed moving to a boarding school was a big enough change to cause a bud of longing to sprout in her chest, and the shadow of magic that followed her everywhere enhanced the feeling. Anything remotely similar to her previous life was welcome amongst all the novelty, her opinion of which still hadn't solidified.

Karlina disliked magic, so being forced to attend Hogwarts for the next seven years of her life had some some obvious downsides. A unique opinion, I'm sure. Karlina had never heard anyone of anyone in the school who had an aversion to magic like she did; some viewed it with uncertainty or distrust, but never plain disapproval. Initial hesitation was quite common in students from Muggle families, where magic was not known or openly discussed, but even they warmed up to it eventually. After all, what was there not to like? There was a whole world of miracles they hadn't been aware of. Their introduction to magic must have been eye-opening, she scoffed.

Guilt suddenly pounced on her, making good use of the opportunity to remind her how wrong that kind of thinking was. Magic is our greatest beauty and our greatest treasure. Learn to wield it and it shall be your weapon. Her mother's voice cut through the thickness of her thoughts, another dagger aiming at her skin, hungry for blood and discipline. Nicolette's nuggets of admiration were always there to keep Karlina in line, to let her know that her secret was too poorly hidden and to do something about it. She could already see the disappointment that would wipe the pretty smile from her mother's face, a look that bordered doubt and disgust without saying so.

Her entrance into the Ballroom prevented any further development of the thoughts and she busied herself with taking in her surroundings instead. White tablecloths with golden edges, arrangements of white and red roses, burning candles — exactly what she had expected. The decorations weren't anything special, but Karlina hadn't attended to see what Michael would hang on the walls. Karlina paused, the previously-steady flow of certainty blocked by a valve that refused to cooperate. Why was she there? Her immediate answer was that she had received an invitation and accepted it, but why exactly she felt obliged to attend every event this club organized, Karlina wasn't sure. It wasn't a rule, but she considered it an expectation, and that had apparently been enough for her.

Karlina wasn't sure if she was glad or irritated to find that Michael had opted for live music. She strongly preferred a live performance to a recording, but Karlina was raised among talented musicians and it was unlikely the student who sat at the piano was at such a level. It was certainly not of the quality Karlina was used to, but the girl would have to make do; there was no way to improve it and it was certainly better than blasting famous compositions from a set of cheap speakers. After all, piano pieces weren't exactly made to be heard that way.

As she moved to a comfortably-isolated corner of the room, Karlina spotted some unfamiliar faces among those she recognized. The girl had met the members of the P.U.R.E. Club during their first meeting, so she knew some of the students, but there appeared to be some whom she had never seen before. Judging by height and expression, most of the guests were probably first years, which Karlina wasn't sure how to feel about. On the one hand, it meant she wasn't alone in her lack of experience, but on the other, she found it tiring talking to people of the same age as her. Many 11-year-olds still acted like immature children and a decent conversation was hopeless, but Karlina hadn't had the pleasure of getting to know them all yet and there was always the chance she would find an exception.

Michael finished his song just in time to make it down to met his date. Paige. He smiled as he saw her. "You look amazing" he said as he looked her over. He shook his head, "Not too fancy at all" he said.

He looked behind her at the other guests he had to greet. As much as he'd like to go and dance with her, he had ti greet them all as the host. "After i greet all the guest, do you want to dance?" He asked, looking from them over to her.

He hoped she didn't get upset, as he didn't even think he had the time to calm her. He looked about at the guests, more coming by the minute. He looked over reassuringly,"It will only take a couple of minutes at the most, i promise" he said with a smile.

He hoped he was right, he didn't want to let her down. Almost the second he thought that another thought came in his head but he forgot it almost instantly, though it left a bad feeling in his gut. Percy. But what about Percy? He'd find out so enough, said the bad feelings, just as Percival walked through the door.

Cassie had finally arrived, and they looked amazing in their Greek style dress and Greek themed outfit in general. As Cassie walked towards her, they seemed almost mesmerized, which made Kara blush slightly. When they sat down, Kara decided to give them a greeting, and a compliment of course, as they looked gorgeous.

"No problem. The pleasure is all mine to bring such gorgeous date to this Ball." They said to her, which made Kara just blush even harder, for some reason, Cassie was so smooth, at least to Kara, they were.

"Thanks and you look just.. wow" Time almost stopped as Cassie gazed at Kara lovingly. ""You do too. That dress fits you perfectly"

"Psh, stop it..." Kara said sheepishly, turning her head away from Cassie for a little bit, but then turned back.

"I wasn't really sure about this dress. I've never really worn pink except when I was quite younger, around age four or five maybe...?" Kara pondered off after giving her honest opinion.

"I hoped you are not overwhelmed by this" Cassie said worryingly, just trying to look out for her, as always.

"Actually, about that, before this, I was told that I am a half blood by my parents, and I never knew about the whole pureblood thing until now... I don't really know if I should be here now. Is there some superiority complex I should know about? Like, are purebloods of a higher status in the wizarding world?" Kara asked. She was actually genuinely concerned and was completely clueless about magic accept for the little info given to her by her parents before she left Oxford to come here for school.

Percival looked into the mirror as he gave himself a once over. The black velvet shirt was a newer addition to his formal clothing. One that he hadn't even had the chance of wearing. The boy fiddled with the sleeves a bit. Pulling them further down his forearms. Percival glanced down at his slacks. At first, he had been worried that they would blend in too much with his shirt. Though, thankfully that did not seem to be the case. The velvet easily stood out against the rather simple look of the black slacks. The red of his family crest stood out brightly on the left of the shirt. The boy leaned in closer to the mirror as he tossed his hair about. The mirror fogged slightly from his breath as he swiped an eyelash off of his skin.

Uncertainty pulled his brows down into a furrowed look. He still did not understand the motives of that Miller. Why would the other want to go to a ball as friends with him? Sure it had been a few months since that fateful day in November, but he hadn't expected the boy to forgive him that quickly. It made him wonder if the other had invited him for the purpose of trying to humiliate him. Percival bit the inside of his cheek before shaking his head slightly. It didn't make sense for the other to bring him chocolate. In truth nothing made sense and he couldn't lie that his curiosity hadn't been piqued.

The boy grabbed the familiar wood of his wand and slipped it into his back pocket just in case. In his experience, school-hosted balls never went well in his favor. He didn't understand why he kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Especially, after what happened last time. Percival exited the dorm room making his way towards the ballroom. The boy didn't know what to expect as he pushed open the large doors that led into the ball. It surprised him just how many people were currently there, and it seemed that people were still arriving. Percival looked about the room until his gaze fell onto familiar blond hair. The boy decided, at the very least, he should thank Miller for the invitation to the ball. Percival walked over his shoes clipping into the ground as he took measured strides over to the boy. "Miller. Thank you for inviting me." he said giving the other a small smile.

Paige was standing in the middle of the ballroom. She looked down. occasionally she looked up to greet familiar faces. She waved to @Sarah Lightwood. She walked over to her. "I'm super nervous. I've never had someone ask me to a ball before, let alone go to one." Paige looked at her shoes once more before looking up. "You look great, by the way." Paige looked around. "I should be getting back to Michael.

She walked over and saw another boy reach him before she did. She came close enough to hear the boy thank Michael for inviting him. Paige stopped in her tracks. What? She looked around and stood there. She shook her head. She walked up and took Michael's side. She held out her hand to the boy. "Hey. I'm Paige. I'm a Ravenclaw." She hesitated before adding, "muggle born." She has already let it been known that she didn't care for muggle born haters. She was who she was and no one was going to make her ashamed of herself. "You look quite nice." Paige smiled a fake smile. She didn't know what she was feeling but she was determined not to show it. "Well- I'm just going to-" Then she walked away to the drinks and stood there.

Entering the Ballroom with @Haley Rose and giving a smile to greet @Michael Miller

As he waited there, some of the couples already passed by, as did some others that were coming to this dance solo. He knew, without a doubt, that Haley Rose would show up as she had agreed to come with him and he knew, without a doubt, that she would be beautiful. What he didn't expect was for her to look absolutely stunning and leave him without the right words.

"Hey," he whispered to her, just taking a moment to really take it in. The dress, the style, the color, the hairstyle...everything about it was more perfect than he could have imagined her being. "You look...amazing," he said, but the words felt they fell short. If he was a little older and a little more mature he might have been able to put together something a little more elegant, like saying she was breathtaking.

She had Simon Kincaid more or less speechless and that was saying something. That, along with the way his eyes didn't move from her, and the smile that played across his face probably showed her exactly how he felt, even if he couldn't quite state it.

And did she get there early for the same reason he did? Because she couldn't wait to share this evening with him? No, that would be wishful thinking. He wasn't that lucky. "This way, Ms. Rose," he said as he linked his arm with hers. It was just a short ways down the main Fourth Floor corridor and then over until they got to the large wooden doors of the Ballroom which were already open. He led her inside where someone was playing Chopin on the piano and he smiled to greet Michael Miller, the club's founder who also put this entire Ball together. He did a nice job and it certainly felt like an elegant school dance already. He hoped that this evening would have quite a bit in store for him actually. He and Haley Rose had grown close over the recent weeks, but he was hoping that perhaps this night might even bring them more.

You know that feeling when you finally remember something that you been trying to remember all day? Like a itch that had been scratched? Michael got that feeling, with a touch of horror and guilt as his second, yes second date came in. He just recently came to terms with the fact he Likes boys, with a capital L. Now he had accidently asked 2 people out.

He wondered if running from his own ball would be cowardly. Yes, absolutely, but. . .

No he had to stay. He took a deep breath as Paige walked away leaving him with Percy, as if she could feel his sins. Oh god he was a goner, well . . . only if he's caught. He smiled back at Percy, "I'm glad you could make it. You look great by the way" he said, finally letting the panicky feeling melt of him.

He could do this, he could just switch between them all night, it will be fine. Besides, its not like anything to bad could happen. . . right? Yeah, problary shouldn't think to much about that.

He hummed, "Ever had Boeuf Bourguignon? Its pretty good" he asked talking about his main dish, hoping to make a good conversation.

An unsmiling young man with a frigid air watched quietly with yellow-gold eyes as, one after another, a young man and then a young woman approached the person who seemed to be the host of the party. Those shrewd eyes narrowed slightly as they peered from face to face, scrutinizing each feature as their owner listened in carefully on the conversation. Then he rolled his eyes, took a sip of a drink he had managed to obtain from somewhere, and went over to the pair of other boys shortly after the girl had left.

"'Miller'...isn't it?" he spoke quietly and slowly with the haughty air of cold composure. The older student's hair was neat and swept-back tidily but was a rather alarming hue of spring green. "...Hasn't your mother ever told you not to speak with your mouth full? Much less as the main host of a party in front of all your guests? Really, you're an utter disgrace to your family name standing here behaving like that. How on Earth do you expect anyone to understand that abominable mess avalanching out of your open pie hole?"

Taking a handkerchief from his pocket, he tossed it lightly at Michael's face. "Here. And maybe hide your face with it before anyone of real worth sees. I thought we were supposed to be giving the mudbloods here an idea of why they're inferior beings, not lowering ourselves to their level..."

His gaze shifted to Percival. "...And you are?" his drawling voice inquired. It was practically a demand.
