Winter Memories pv Logan Baird finished

Henry would look over at Logan and give a small smile as now the adults occupied most of the conversation mostly between their father's however as Luka replied " yes I hope our families can remain friends as well in the coming day's and thank you for having us again Adam," after that Henry noticed everyone adding food to their plates in which Henry added small amounts to his as he watched his brother take a slip of wine before turning to Logan and whispering back " thanks for the words of comfort robin," giving her a smile before he started spooning some parsnips into his mouth while conversation seem to die out.

"This food is really incredible miss Baird," Arthur spoke in his rather mature and professional voice allowing Henry to bite his cheek to hold back his laughter as Arthur continued " would you mind me asking miss, I heard your brother works at the ministry but do you work there as well?" Henry then looked over at Logan and felt like this was going to be rather a long night as he smiled toward his best friend.

On the other side of the table, Annabeth took a small amount as well since the only thing similar between these twins was their food portion before slowly started it eat and as conversation broke out again she would lean toward Alex and whisper " get ready, were about to start," before giving him a half smile and then accidentally making eye contact with her own twin. The two stared at each other for a moment before both broke it rather quickly, one caring more than the other as the dinner went on.

Logan tried to hold back a laugh at the fact Henry's brother was raising her aunt's ego more than it needed to be. This was probably the first time her aunt had made anything edible, and now Arthur was encouraging her. Logan could only imagine how doomed her brothers were going to be after this. Logan took a sip of water, only to nearly choke when glancing at her brothers. Rorik and Alexander were making weird faces at their aunt who sat beside them.

Hannah Baird smiled at Arthur as he praised her cooking skills. "Oh, I do not work at the Ministry, way to much drama for me to deal with. I am a dress designer, I have a small shop in town, but I work from home most of the time to keep an eye on the twins." Logan's aunt was just happy someone was asking about what she did for a living, most people never asked.

Logan glanced over at Henry with a smile on her face, happy that the families were getting along. If they didn't get along, then the brunette had no idea how what she would do as Henry was her best friend. With a huff, she went back to eating, a smile still on her face.

Rorik and Alexander quickly looked away from their aunt when Anna started to talk. "We are ready," the two of them whispered together as they nearly bounced in their seats in excitement. They couldn't wait to go through with their little plan.

Henry was glad that his family was getting along with Logan's since he preferred not to imagined what would happened if they didn't even through before the night his anxiety couldn't help but imagine the worst possible situations. Although Henry was still rather awkward at that table as he slowly ate the dinner while occasionally looking over at his best friend and giving her a smile that was mostly for his own comfort and sanity while his older brother continued the small talk around the time with Logan's aunt, "you own your business? That sounds just as challenging in my opinion not counting watching two children as well," Henry knew that Arthur knew what he was saying since Arthur had to look after both Henry and his twin for a majority of their lives after their mother passed from the werewolf attack.

"Have you ever thought about a ministry job miss Baird?" Arthur asked again while Henry looked over at his best friend and gave a jokingly eye roll before biting his cheek to hold his laughter while continuing to eat. His father ate as well and didn't know what his daughter was planning with the identical boy's.

Annabeth pretended to eat while she leaned into Alex and whispered " just wait Alex, I would hate for you to get into trouble," while she slid under the table to Rorik a small black horn that once winded up and placed down would make so much noise that could push a whole table up with air before whispering to Rorik, " when I tell you, wind that up and drop it under your father's chair," before settling back into her chair and going back to 'eating' her food.

Logan could just laugh at Arthur for how much he was talking to her aunt, no one every spent that much time asking her aunt what she did. Most people just assumed she was a stay at home caretaker for the twins. The Hufflepuff did find it rather endearing though, as her aunt was closest in age with Arthur, at only twenty-six. She actually had someone to talk to for once in her life, as she didn't have as many friends in the area as people would think.

"Yes, I do own the business. It is not too hard to handle along with these two. There are a few other women in town that work at the shop while I am here with the twins and when I am gone, it is only for a short while and one of the tutors is always here with them." Hannah Baird explained with a smile on her face. She didn't normally talk about her business with anyone, and being younger than most business owners, most people did not think she would be able to get far. At the mention of working at the Ministry, Hannah Baird only shrugged. She hadn't really thought about it, but she really did like making dresses. "I might think about it, but it has never been something I have truly been interested in."

Logan smiled at the fact her aunt was freely talking with someone, but found it weird that there wasn't much talking other than those two. She could occasionally hear one of the twins whisper something, but she wasn't concerned about them at the moment.

Alexander looked at Anna and nodded quickly about not wanting to get in trouble, he wasn't sure what their father would do as he seemed to be in a good mood at the moment. Listening to Anna, Rorik grabbed the horn in his hand and grinned at her as he waited for her signal. He didn't want to do anything too early.

There wasn't that much small talk going on which meant Henry could relax a bit but his anxiety was also increased a bit as his mind was imagining the worst possible scenarios for the small talk to go which didn't ease his nerves as he hoped. Although by occasionally glancing over at Logan and smiling at her a bit that did help since it was rather comforting being in a semi awkward situation with his best friend so he knew that he wasn't alone.

While Henry hoped that the conversation wouldn't fall to silence but also that he wouldn't be included, he couldn't help but bite the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing while his older brother maintained what little small talk there was with Logan's aunt. Henry kept his eyes scanning around on everyone when he looked a bit at Arthur that was when he spoke " the ministry isn't for everyone especially since at times it can ask more of you than what your originally thought," remembering his brother was in like to become a order which got almost a eye roll from Henry as Arthur continuing " a business owner is still rather impressive. To build something from nothing basically and establish a business is quite a achievement I may say."

While small and semi awkward talk continued, on the other side of the table Annabeth was pretending to eat in a way keeping her eyes peeled for the perfect moment until she passed Alexander a bag of marbles and whispered to him " keep those hidden then on the second signal drop them in a angel so they roll under mostly everyone's feet except your own," before eyeing the conversation again and at the point where everyone was the most distracted with their food or the small talk, she would whisper to Alexander again " excuse yourself to kitchen to refill your water and wait there for my signal Alex."

After she would see the boy leave and become out of sight of the others at the table, she would wait for a few more moments before whispering to Rorik,
"wait a minute then wind up the horn and drop it under your father's chair, it should only blow his up but say nothing after. Don't even laugh," she would meet his eyes before breaking away and beginning her wait as her plan started to come into motion.

Getting tired of listening to Arthur and her aunt talking, Logan turned to her father to ask him a question. "Are we going to Grandfather's tomorrow?" she asked with a slight smile on her face. Logan had always been close to her grandfather, even if she was rather mad at him at the moment and her grandmother was someone Logan had looked up to as a child. She always learned about new potions when she went to see them, never learned how to brew them, but she did learn about them.

Glancing over at his daughter with a smile, Adam Baird answered his daughter happily, as she was actually talking to him for once. "Yes, we are leaving around noon and I will be coming back tomorrow night and you and your brothers will be staying until the second." He was allowing the kids to spend more time with his parents, as it would give him some quiet time at the house and give the kids more bonding time.

Happily Logan grinned and nodded her head, turning back to her best friend with the grin still on her face. She was actually happy to get to spend time with her grandparents, as it wasn't something that happened often. She also knew that her uncle and cousin would be coming from Romania, and she hadn't seen them in a few years.

Alexander grinned as he grabbed the bag of marbles in his hands silently, continuing to eat as to not make them seem suspicious. Soon after he heard Annabeth speak to him again as he nodded subtly. "I am getting more water," he quickly stated as he stood up and quickly made his way to the kitchen before his father could even respond to him. He knew his father would just call on Kal to get him more water. Rorik watched his brother walk off with a smile on his face before he turned back to Annabeth. Waiting a minute, Rorik wound up the horn and dropped it under his father's chair.

The small talk that there was seem to fade away as silence took over the table again, Henry leveled his head in a angel to listen over at Logan and her father. He was a bet jealous of his best friend when it came to extended family since Henry never had a relationship with either of his parents extended family mostly because his mum was disowned and then died so he never had that experience. Then with his father's family, Henry met them once over the summer and that was he wanted since that one time went pretty bad so that wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Not that Henry cared while he smiled over at Logan a bit before turning back to his meal when he caught his father's words, "does your family originated from Russian, Adam? A place that Henry's originated from which is probably why his father wanted him to learn the language as well not to any interest to the twelve year old boy.

On the other side, Annabeth would watch as Rorik dropped the horn under his father's chair whispering to him "don't laugh," before turning to the entrance of the kitchen and nodded to a unseen Alex which was the signal for him to drop the marbles. When he does do it, Annabeth would then grab Rorik by the arm and pull him back just before the marbles touched the ground and chaos was released so the two wouldn't fall. The girl would then turned to Logan with her arms crossed and comfortably next to her brother before saying in a rather annoyed voice, "did I win the bet."

Before Adam was even able to answer Luke, he felt his chair shift under him. Confused, he glanced over at Logan before his chair lifted into the air. Startled, he slid from the chair as it was lifted into the air, only to land on the marbles that were now scattered across the floor. Landing on his back with a grunt, his glare immediately turned towards his sons.

"Father," Logan called out as she jumped up from her seat, only to trip over the marbles and her chair leg in the process. Hannah Baird soon jumped up after, managing to stay up as she assisted her brother and niece in standing up from the floor. Quickly, Adam Baird grabbed the horn and threw it against the wall, walking out of the room angrily. Hannah quickly looked at everyone in the room and quickly apologized before following after her brother to make sure he was okay.

Logan composed herself with closed eyes as she turned to look at Annabeth with a grin on her face. She was well aware that Luke and Arthur were in the room still. Pulling a coin out of her pocket, she flipped it a few times as she grinned at the girl. "No, you did not win the bet. The bet was to see who could make my father snap first. You just made the plan, my brothers were the ones that executed the plan. My father has no idea that you had anything to do with this, meaning you did not win, but they did." The normally calm Hufflepuff flicked the coin at Rorik, who caught it with ease, only to realize that it was a fool's gold coin. It was worth nothing.

Turning to the rest of the guests with ease, Logan smiled brightly. "If you do not mind, I am going to take the desserts to the family room for us to enjoy so the mess can be cleaned up in here." With grace the Hufflepuff turned around and walked into the kitchen, Alexander moving out of her way quickly, knowing he was in trouble.

Everything was happening so fast,
first the chair from Logan's father seem to go up within the air before marbles were spread out across the floor and Henry found his father staring at his twin sister who didn't seem to care about what just happened. Henry turned to Logan and already knew what might occur as he carefully got up from his chair careful not to fall as he heard the conversation between the two girls go on.

"That would be useful if I was asking but I wasn't asking was I," Annabeth replied back toward Logan before taking the fool coin from Rorik and throwing it back to Logan before saying "And I suggest you pay up then with actual coins since you lost," However Annabeth was about to stick around and get in trouble so she used a head nod to tell Rorik to follow her and throw his arm around Alexander before leaving the table and whispering to Alexander "your room then come on," soon to disappear with probably or hopefully the identical boy's.

Arthur then got up and seen to know what to do since he took his wand out and waved it causing all the marbles to roll away before approaching Adam and speaking to him " here let me help you Mr Barid," as then then helped pick up his chair before turning him. Henry eyed Logan when she mentioned bringing the desserts to the family room which Henry spoke " I'll help you bring them to the room Logan," before he wild follow his best friend and hold whatever she needed help with and following her.

However his father seen equally angry as he walked toward Adam and held out a hand to help him up as he spoke " I apologize for my daughter, Adam. She can act up at times to say, please let me make it up to you."

Logan took a deep breath as she stepped into the kitchen as she grabbed one of the many cookies off of a tray and threw it at the wall as hard as possible. She would have thrown something else, but she didn't want to spend time cleaning up glass. Logan snapped around with fire in her eyes as Henry walked into the kitchen behind her. "Your sister, just... AHHHH," The Hufflepuff yelled out in anger as she threw another cookie at the wall. Watching as the crumbs hit the ground. Before she knew it, Sherlock came running over and started to eat the cookie off the ground. The brunette didn't care though as she turned back around to lean against the counter.

While Logan had been arguing with Annabeth, Adam Baird had come back into the room with his sister. "Thank you Arthur, an no need to apologize Luke, luckily no one had been hurt." The last part wasn't a total lie, as Adam knew his back was going to hurt in the morning. He glanced over as Annabeth and Alexander walked out of the room, but Rorik seemed to be debating on what to do. Quickly he hurried after his twin, although he would probably come back down before Alexander did.

Hannah Baird only sighed as she watched the children scatter around the house. She knew Logan was hoping for today to end well, but it seemed that maybe that wasn't going to happen. She only hoped that the twins did not get into too much trouble and that Logan wouldn't run off again like she did the last time.
