Saturday. The best day of the week was finally here. And, it was even better this time because she had finished all her school assignments the day before, so she didn't have to worry about those at all! Gia hurried out of her dormitory a few minutes after she'd woken up, absolutely ready to get going with her day. It was slightly chilly outside, she knew, so the girl had brought a jacket - but she didn't think she'd be spending much time on the other side of the castle walls that day anyway. And, as the first year skipped along through the corridors, an idea occurred to her. Yes, she was most definitely not going outside that morning, she had something better to do.

Gia was halfway to her destination when she realized that she would need something to write with and a piece of paper for what she was planning to do. Sighing, the girl ran back to her dorm room and grabbed those two things from the table where she'd left them the night before, and then heading back in the direction she'd been going only a few minutes before. It would be best if she could get this ready as early in the day as she could, since that meant there was a better chance that someone - or multiple someones - would see it.

Not many others were awake at the moment, but there were a few wandering the corridors early like she was. None of them seemed as awake as the young Gryffindor girl though, and barely seemed to notice her when she quickly passed by them. Usually Gia would have stopped to chat with a few of them, but today she actually had something to do, and so she didn't stop, not once. Well, at least until she arrived at her destination.

After looking around cautiously to make sure no one else was in the hall with her, the eleven year old scribbled a quick note on the ripped piece of parchment she had grabbed. It said:

She purposely didn't write who the note was from, and once she had finished writing, the girl glanced over the note to make sure nothing would give away exactly who she was. When this was confirmed, Gia nodded to herself, looked around the corridor one last time, and tucked it behind the helmet of one of the metal guards that lined each hallway. Now all she could do was wait. Wait for someone to find it, hopefully heed her directions, and write back. Well. . . since that was done, at least she could head outside if she wanted. The eleven year old had brought her jacket along, hadn't she? Slipping away without being seen, Gia went outdoors.

Hello,
You actually saw this! Or, I'm hoping someone sees this. If you have found my note, write back in the space underneath this message and hide it back where you got it. After that, wait.

Katie was walking through the corridors. She had nothing better to do really than roam the couriers on such a lonely Saturday morning. Her thoughts drifted around a bit. A first Katie thought about what she was going to write for her latest transfiguration homework, then Katie thought about her parents and whether or not they'd be about to deduce that Katie bmp longer spurred their pure blood supremacist viewpoints from that stupid, silly, frilly party that they'd forced her t stress, and then she thought about her parents and then not telling her about her little brother who get mother was in less than a month.

Katie was lost in thought, when her eye settled on a small slip of paper tucking out from a metal rim of one of the guard statues helmets. It was almost unnoticeable, and a wave of intrigue and curiosity flooded Katie's senses. She quickly jogged over to it. She grabbed it, and with a slight, gentle tug, the paper was in her hands. Katie unfolded and flipped over the pieces or parchment, and revealed the note on it. She carefully read it, and then pulled out a quill and an ink well. She glanced around the hallway, but nobody was watching her, so she set the message down on the floor and wrote out a reply:
Hello Flame,
I will call you Flame, since you didn't leave a name and I have nothing better to call you. How are you doing? I hope you are well and I'll check this place frequently do we can keep up communications. Do you have a favorite class?
Katie wrote her message in the space be low as the note requested, being sure to do so in messy handwriting. She waved the paper fur a few judgments to let her ink dry, and then she looked back over what she had written.

Katie re-read it, and a smile tugged at her lips. She purposefully excluded her own name at the end so that the note-writer could choose it for her just like Katie had chosen Flame for the note writer. She made sure to keep it short and sweet also.

A short breeze ran through the corridors and Katie felt slightly chilly. She packed up and placed the note back where she had found it, for either Flame, or someone rose to find it and pen a response of their own.

Katie realized that it was probably lunch by note, if her grumbling stomach waa Amy hint, Stu she raced through the corridors to get to the Great Hall, and consequently, lunch. Currently, a sandwich and soup combination was sounding quote good to Katie, and she wondered if the Hogwarts house elves (the kitchen elves specifically) made beet borscht. It was Katie's favorite kind of soup and it was absolutely delicious.
