Cryptograms
A cryptogram is a type of puzzle that consists of a short piece of encrypted text. Generally the cipher used to encrypt the text is simple enough that the cryptogram can be solved by hand. Substitution ciphers where each letter is replaced by a different letter or number are frequently used. To solve the puzzle, one must recover the original lettering. Though once used in more serious applications, they are now mainly printed for entertainment in newspapers and magazines.
There are a number of Classical Ciphers in existence. I am going to start with something simple and then give you something a bit more challenging. Feel free to try to solve this in this thread.

No posters, shame.
The way this simple crypto is solved (really any letters can be exchanged) is to seek repeating patterns, lone letters, the use of punctuation and a bit of brute force. With sites such as this cryptogram solver site brute force tactics are shown to be very effective as well.
It gets harder when the key is not as simple as the alphabet and when there is nothing that repeats. A slightly more difficult one that I have used on this community before:
In here there is no obvious number correlating with a single letter but a lot of repetition. What does this mean? Well that is the cracker's job really. How can these repeating numbers be correlated with a letter? Find this correlation and you will find the key.
Due to the fact that you need to determine the key but the relative commonness of this key, this would be a puzzle of moderate difficulty. I have several puzzles that use other keys in a similar manner but this one is one of my favorites because of the accessibility world-wide.

Looks like someone is pretty good at these. Looks at the fact nobody else is playing.
