Stop Right There
Ending the evening with @Haley Rose
I'm not quite sure if this is the ending to this thread but it kinda feels like it is. I think that was one of my main mistakes with my last character was drawing a particular situation out too long. I do hope maybe you've got an idea for a new thread with them or we can owl each other and come up with something as Simon loves his time with Haley and while this day is coming to an end, I certainly wouldn't want our interaction to!
Simon never really got hungry and yet he was always hungry - it was quite a strange phenomena. He would eat, of course, didn't every human have to do so? Yet, even after having just finished a meal (usually with things that didn't appeal to him and he could hardly stomach) he still felt a hunger, still was left unsatisfied. It was a feeling that he had gotten quite used to and had become his normal. It no longer bothered him.
"I would think perhaps it's nearing supper." Supper already? They did say time flied when you were having fun and he was having an enjoyable day catching up with Haley - everything from cards and gifts, to family information, to sharing about holidays, asking to dances, practicing dances...it all. "Let's head back down and see." Simon would have normally pulled out his cellphone to check the time but that was back at his house in London as it proved to be useless there at Hogwarts. He didn't even have a watch either although sometime he needed to get one of those old fashioned wind-up ones. They probably worked there within the castle.
Maybe he should have and maybe he shouldn't have, but Simon felt compelled to take her hand in his as the two began down that corridor where the shared their dances. Sure she had agreed to be his date to this upcoming dance but that didn't mean that they were officially a couple or anything. Still, he liked any and all closeness with Haley and she didn't seem to protest.
The aroma of a warm fresh supper filled the air the closer they got to the Great Hall and Simon knew that this would be their departure for the evening. She would have to go and sit with the Gryffindors and he the Hufflepuffs but he didn't mind. He couldn't be selfish with her. She had supper to eat and other friends to share her holiday memories with. "Thank you," he told her once they got the the entrance. "...For the gift, for the acceptance, the dance and the trust - and thank you for today."
Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

Stop Right There
Interacting with @Simon Kincaid
I would start a new thread so the both of them can meet and talk about the colours for the ball. Just give me a few seconds
Haley smiled at Simon's touch and took his hand. She didn't mind it in any way, and she wouldn't have cared if anyone saw it. The two strolled back to the Great Hall and Haley reviewed the day in her mind, realizing that it couldn't have been better. The closer they got to the Great Hall, the louder the voices around them became and the more she could detect the smell of dinner. At the smell, her stomach started grumbling again and it felt like she was starving.
The two stopped briefly at the entrance, this is where they would part ways for now and even though Haley was a little sad, she knew she would see Simon again soon. She smiled at his words. "I have to thank you." Her eyes fell on some of her friends who waved at her in the corner of her eye and she was already super excited to see everyone again. But before she would go to the Gryffindor table she said something quickly to Simon. "I haven't forgotten about our deal, of course. Shall we say Tuesday afternoon in the Courtyard?" Haley smiled at Simon, not really giving him a chance to answer. She was sure it wouldn't be a problem for him and if it was he would say so. She laughed and quickly added "I'll see you on Tuesday." Spinning once in a circle, she hopped towards the Gryffindor table.
When she got there she turned around again before sitting down and watched Simon as he just took a seat at the Hufflepuff table. She smiled and as she sat down she noticed the curious looks of her friends.
