There were many uses when it came to the Girl's bathroom. While some were obvious, there were others that were not. For instance, it was primarily a place where girls liked to gossip and chat about others, or even a place to hang out during a free period. Walking into the lavatory was like walking into a sorority house. It was filled with girls left to right talking about their body image, the boy in their class or gossiping about others.

Bloom had no care to listen in on other's misery, crushes or complaints. She walked into the lavatory not to use the restroom, but to look at herself in the mirror. Her looking into the mirror was nothing short of putting down her body image. It was, in fact, to center her mind. Her brown eyes focusing back at itself.

Come on, Bloom. This isn't you, her mind was screaming at her. She changed. She was not the same little girl walking into Hogwarts for the first time anymore. She was the type of person who could go up to someone random and ask them what their favorite kind of cheese was. Now? She wouldn't dare to connect with others without feeling like she wasn't worth the conversation.

There was a moment she did try to go back to her old self. She went to a game for the first time. She forgot what teams played, but she remembered talking to kids from the other schools and getting a rude reply back as though she should have never talked to begin with. It stung her emotionally. It scarred her mentally.

But that wasn't why she was who she was today... No. It was during her first and second year of Hogwarts. It was her first crush and boy that she was close to: Ben. She was close to a boy who was hurting others and she did not even know it. When he was revealed, others looked at her horrifyingly and it killed her that people did not trust her. She remembered not handling it and threatening a girl who was rude to her that she would have Ben go after her. Since then, Bloom had never been the same.

If only there was something... Or someone that could remind her of who she used to be so many years ago and help her change for the better.

Ever since becoming a Prefect, she continued to help other students the best she could and doing her duties diligently but things did change a year later. Where she slowly noticed how most people starting to expect a lot from her. For the first time, she felt a heavy burden on her shoulder. And due to this, Griseldis had been feeling suffocated lately. She wasn't willing to show it and often masked it with a smile because she didn't want to let others worry. It wasn't common for someone like her who used to be the most energetic person starting to become mentally tired. Perhaps she should consider writing more letters to her family, sometimes reading letters from her family who would never judge always made her feel a lot better.

Today, Griseldis somehow couldn't enjoy one of her favorite classes, so she patiently waited for the professor to dismiss the class. She decided to go to the girl's lavatory and splash some cold water onto her face that might help her feel more alive.

Entering the girl's lavatory, she saw a few girls were just chatting or freshen up. Being a Tomboy, there were things girls normally do that Griseldis might not understand. She did know that most girls like to gather together as a group in the girl's lavatory and gossiped many topics that she was never interested to hear. Even in a wizarding school like Hogwarts, this sort of "tradition" was still the same for girls. She never really liked to hear people's negative rants about other people behind their backs, and there was one time she caught a group of girls talking about her when she was in the Muggle schools. Although...looking at the other girls reminded her of someone who she used to talk to in the past. A distant memory during her childhood where there was a time she met this one girl, where they instantly became best friends. Even though they could only meet up at the Summer Camp each year but it still made them feel like it was only them both against the whole world and imagining themselves going on "adventures". Griseldis remembered how gentle and sweet the petite girl was, she was the total opposite of her. They used to write to each other letters but one day, the girl suddenly stopped replying to her letters and that was how they kind of broke contact with each other.

Griseldis smiled sadly when she thought about it, she didn't know the true reason why the girl stopped. Maybe she just got tired of her and made the decision to cut ties with her...Oh, come on! She was here to clear her head and not being upset. She quickly shook her head, she really needed to stop thinking about sad things and should focus on the present right now.

Walking towards the bathroom sinks, she noticed a Ravenclaw girl with her back turned in front of her was just staring at the mirror motionless. Griseldis could have just minded her own business and ignore the girl, however, she wasn't that type of person. It was kind of odd seeing someone just stood there not doing anything at all. She walked up to the girl and gently patted her shoulder to get the dark-haired girl's attention. She asked her out of concern, "Hey, are you ok?" When she shifted her eyes to the mirror seeing the reflection of the girl's face, there was a moment where she couldn't believe what she saw and let out a soft gasp, "......Bloom?"

No way...how? The petite girl she once met at the Summer Camp wasn't a Muggle? She was a witch just like her all along?

Bloom was never one to believe in signs or miracles. She had asked herself one simple plead. And in a moment, the answer was revealed. She turned around to see a familiar face; one that she could never forget.

"Gris...,"

It was a shock that made Bloom speechless. Gris was a childhood friend. They would spend loads of time with each other at camp over the many summers. They were inseparable. The camp thought of them as the bestest friends that would go into their old age. But unfortunately, Bloom stopped going to camp yearly. Her parents were unable to afford her and her sisters to go. They kept them home and had "Mommy Camp" instead. She tried to write to Gris, but it was tiring after awhile to keep in touch, what with muggle grade school and an additional social life.

But here Gris was, standing before her.

"GRISIE!" Bloom finally found her voice and walked over to the girl and gave her a big hug. Granted, Bloom did not keep in mind that people change. After she hugged the girl, she took a step back. Perhaps she had turned into not a huggy person. People change after all.

"How come I haven't seen you all this time?" she asked, confused how at Hogwarts, she was unable to bump into her. While the castle seemed "smaller and smaller" with every passing year, perhaps it was bigger than what she realized. More or less, she was beyond excited to see a childhood friend.

"How are you doing? What do you do for summers now? Tell me everything!" she said loudly, the echo of the bathroom filling the room. Bloom didn't care who was around. She was just so glad to see a face that could, most likely, remind Bloom of who she was.

The Ravenclaw girl looked back at her and she noticed how her expression slowly changed from being numb to being surprised. She called her name in a soft voice which made her heart beamed. And when she called her that cute nickname she often called her in the past "Grisie" which confirmed to Griseldis that she wasn't wrong, this girl really was her childhood friend. "Bloom!" Before she could say another word, Bloom already went to give her a big hug that was so tight she almost couldn't breathe. However, it was worth it. Griseldis hugged her childhood friend back, closing her eyes to enjoy this moment of nostalgia.

When Bloom let go of the hug, she asked her how come they haven't seen each other in Hogwarts all this time. Griseldis found it quite weird as well but it didn't matter anymore because they finally met, here in the Girls' Lavatory. "I don't know but Hogwarts is a really large castle and we're not in the same class. Perhaps that's why we weren't able to cross paths until today.". Bloom then asked her how she had been doing lately, she was able to notice how excited her childhood friend sounded. Honestly, Griseldis didn't want to tell her the negative stuff that happened to her lately. At least, it wasn't the right time to tell her yet.

Looking at the dainty Ravenclaw girl in front of her, she gave her that same bright smile, "I'm doing well, thanks for asking. I'm a third-year student now and last year I became a Prefect, then things had been really busy. Almost didn't have any spare time to relax, hehe." Griseldis softly chuckled a bit, trying to brighten the mood between them. Maybe she should tell Bloom her experience in Hogwarts so far, "Aside from being Prefect, I continue to enjoy learning a lot of things about magic, potions, history, magical creatures, and plants. It's also funny when you already live in the Muggle society, attending the Muggle studies turns out to be a bit awkward for me when I pretty much know a lot about Muggle technology. And on summer holidays, I would visit my family in my hometown, kinda like a tradition at this point but I do hope that I get to visit new friends' hometowns one day." Then she remembered something important and quickly added, "Oh! I almost forgot to tell you about my favorite subject, it's Defence Against the Dark Arts! And I absolutely admire Professor Pendrast, her teachings are truly wicked!" she beamed while thinking about how Professor Pendrast gave her lessons to the students in her unique ways.

There were still a lot of things Griseldis wanted to tell Bloom, like her first time joining the Ball, for example, and other crazy incidents she encountered during her time in Hogwarts. However, she couldn't just tell too much about her because she would love to know how Bloom had been doing in Hogwarts as well. So she stopped and asked her curiously, "How about you, Bloom? I also want to know how you've been doing in Hogwarts these years?" Griseldis decided to ask her some simple questions before asking her more and there was one question she did want to understand. Why did she stop writing letters to her? Griseldis couldn't help but guess that something must have happened with her family. It was a sensitive question to ask anyway so she would find the right timing to ask about it or let Bloom decide to tell her herself.

Bloom nodded in response to her idea of why they would not see each other often. They were of different years. Bloom was slightly older than Gris, but that did not stop them from being the best of friends during their childhood. Age was only a number.

"A prefect!?" she said, excitedly. "How do you like being a Prefect? You know, I was Prefect once. It's a lot of fun, right?" she asked, glazing over why she wasn't anymore. Bloom remembered the days when she was a Prefect herself. It was her first year when she was given the opportunity to help lead Ravenclaws-- while also figuring out the castle and her classes, too. She was asked to drop because of her low grades. Bloom hadn't applied to become Prefect since then as her studies have not necessarily increased since then.

Defense Against the Dark Arts was Gris' favorite magical subject. Bloom looked around and tried to think of the different subjects that she was supposed to study and do homework for. Did Bloom have a favorite? So far, she did not like anything that was being taught. "Defense Against the Dark Arts sounds like fun. I don't think I've ever met Professor Pendrast one on one before. She scares me," Bloom said, laughing. There were definitely some professors that had a scary streak to them. Professor Pendrast, Professor Jensen, Professor Lydursdattir and especially the Care of Magical Creatures professor, Professor Eide.

Bloom was asked the question of how her time at Hogwarts has been. Where does she start? Does she want to start and tell her the truth? It was the first time they see each other after so long. Perhaps it was not the time to burden her of what was really going on.

"Everything is going great! she lied, "a lot of studying and the usual, you know," Bloom added with a smile. Her heart hurt from the lies she just said. A part of her was screaming at herself. She wanted to tell her friend of what was happening-- to clear her mind-- but it was definitely not the time.

Awkwardly, Bloom began to wash her hands. She had no reason to, but she was near the sink and she washed her hands with soap and water. Perhaps it was her way of washing away the lies. Maybe to look away from Gris for those moments of relief. As she was scrubbing, she looked back at the Gryffindor. "I would have thought of you as a Hufflepuff. But the red suits you!" she joked.
