Knight to D5 PV Henry Knight reopened

Alexa looked up from the board where she had been focused on her next possible move, and smiled at Henry, in response to his statement. “That really means a lot, Henry. I can’t tell you how much. Thank you for being such a good friend.” She smiled at him and closed her eyes, tilting her head back and enjoying the sun that fell on her face for a moment. Then she turned back to the game.

“Why doesn’t your dad write you? What does your brother have to say with his letters?” Alexa asked both questions, curious of the answers. She knew Henry and his older brother were very close, but it made her a little sad to think that his dad didn’t write to him. But then, her parents mostly wrote to tell her the bad news lately! So there wasn’t much she could say to that.

Henry moved his bishop to threaten her rook, but she left the pawn between them, blocking the way. The pieces all began clamoring to be heard, shouting suggestions, especially the Queen, who was very loud. Smiling slightly at their antics, Alexa directed a pawn to threaten Henry’s bishop. There was not much else she could do yet on the board without opening up some more pieces.

She reached over and scratched Loki behind his ears as he lay down, and listened to Henry. “You are so on! Loki is very smart, but I bet my rat will be, too!”

“I definitely know Logan, though only a little bit. I’d like to get to know her better. How did you two meet? And yeah, Alina is definitely my best friend!” Alexa said happily, not mentioning that Henry came as a very close second. She blushed slightly at the thought.

Meeting Alexa's green eyes, a smile escaped his lips as he look over at the red head and nodded to her words. Before reaching over and squeezing her hand for a moment as he spoke "no need to thank me, what are friends for," he then let go of her hand and distinctly remembered Alina telling him those same words as Henry kept the eye contact with her until her next words.

Looking back at the board and strategizing in his head as Henry spoke rather quick " after my mum died, my father became rather distinct and was never around so were not that close with him really," glancing over at Loki who flickered his tail from side to side keeping his eyes on the chess board before Henry continued " we just discuss what's going on in each other's lives, different topics really."

Watching as Alexa used her pawn to threaten his bishop that decided to shout suggestions and criticism to him in which he ignored as Henry instead remembering that pawns and bishops threatened in the same way so he told the bishop to take her pawn in which the piece did. Now the bishop was in the center of her side as Henry awaited for her move.

"Rats are known to smart as well as cats, so they should be a good match wiry each other," Henry replied with a smile toward Alexa before hearing her next comment and choosing to not say that he considered her a rather close friend as well as he spoke " we met in our first year at the library. You guy's are both on the hufflepuff dueling team right?"

When Henry squeezed her hand, her heart sped up violently. She didn’t want him to let go, but he did. She was bright pink with embarrassment. What was she going to do about this, these feelings she had for him? Certainly more than friendship feelings.

But she desperately didn’t want to ruin what they had. She shook her head, trying to compose herself, and looked down at the board. She was sad when she heard about Henry’s father being distant. “Have you ever tried to reach out to him? Maybe he would be happy you did…” She suggested softly.

She smiled when he talks to even slightly about his brother; the love between them was obvious when he spoke. “You’re so lucky you have siblings! I always wanted one or more even, but it’s just me,” she said, chuckling slightly. Just her. And her separated parents…

When his bishop captured her pawn, she smiled slightly, and the trap sprung. She swiftly ordered her knight forward to capture his bishop. The Knight knocked over the bishop, and dragged him from the board. There was much cheering and yelling from her pieces. But she knew that one capture didn’t make a game, so she kept her mind thinking.

“I think they will be a good match, too!” Alexa smiled. “I met Logan in the library, as well, at least officially. We had seen each other at dueling practice because yes, we are both on the team. She seems really nice.”

Alexa made up her mind to make a bold move, and not on the chessboard. She reached out and touched the back of Henry’s hand. “I really like you, Henry, you know…” She turned crimson, but kept her hand on his. What was she doing?!

Playing Chess and being a idiot with @Alexa Mackenzie

Henry was glad to be there with Alexa playing chess and was more glad to have her as a friend. However even though he was extremely smart in classes, about books, with homework, and even spell that doesn't mean he was smart with everything. For example Henry Knight was a idiot with love, if he knew anything about it then he would know that Alexa had a crush on him and he had one on her but again he was a idiot when it came to love.

"Maybe but I don't mind, I have my brother so," Henry replied before glancing back down at the board when he heard Alexa mention siblings causing him to look up and smile as he spoke " I believe close friends can also be consider siblings but I bet you would have made an amazing sister Alexa."

Smiling a bit at her while Loki looked from one student to the other before letting his eyes rest on Henry and if the feline could speak then he would be yelling at Henry at the extract moment. While he watched her Knight capture his bishop which opened up the perfect opportunity as he ordered his pawn already forward a bit more forward to capture her Knight, he gave a small smile to the two pieces of hers that he captured.

"I'm sure they would be a great match! And Logan is beyond amazing, that's great that your both on the team and know each other," Henry spoke before turning back to the board when he would hear the words that would make him an 100% idiot as well as have his own cat scream at him from the inside.

"I like you to Alexa...."

"Your the greatest friend I could ever ask for and I'm more than glad that were friends," Henry spoke and he officially is a idiot with love... how long will it take him to figure it out...

Alexa was glad that Henry had his brother, even if he wasn’t connected to the rest of his family, he had somebody there for support. She wished she had an older sibling that she could talk to and ask advice of. Or even a younger sibling that she could help out when they needed it. She blushed that his compliment that she would’ve made an amazing sister. Smiling, she looked back down at the board. What would it have been like to have been a sibling?… Would it have kept her parents together if there was more than one child? The thought intruded rudely, and she pushed it away, thinking about the game and Henry.

He captured her knight, and she brought out her night on the other side of the board. There was no immediate threat to it, nor was it threatening anything else, but it needed to be opened. Henry was ahead by one pawn, and she intended to even out the game as soon as possible. She had his bishop, which helps, but she needed to capture more pieces!

She smiled again (she couldn’t seem to stop) when he sent their pets would be a good match. She couldn’t wait to have her pet rat! What a joy that would be. “Logan seems really cool; I love that she has a bunch of horses!” Alexa said, thinking back to her conversation with Logan in the library a while ago.

When Henry said that he liked her back, her heart soared momentarily. But only momentarily. Then he called her the greatest friend… Just a friend. Feeling like an idiot, and going red from the roots of her hair to her chin, Alexa slowly retracted her hand from where it was touching the back of his. Feeling suddenly cold, she looked down at the board, her hair hiding her face. “Yeah… You’re a great friend, Henry.” She desperately wanted to get away, but knew that she couldn’t leave…

While Henry Knight was a intelligent when it comes to academics, classes, and books some could refer to the boy as a know it all, geek, or nerd at times. However the few subjects that the twvele year old was basically a idiot with was topics that involved around love, the boy never had much of it when he was younger when he was with his family and even at Hogwarts so the boy was basically with a idiot love so much so that he couldn't recognize that he had a crush on Alexa Mackenzie.

Henry kept his side of the board organized as Henry looked over the board taking note of Alexa moving her piece away. When it was his turn tinted shouts started up trying to give him advice which he blocked out as Henry decide to take a scientific offensive approached as the boy decide to move a pawn that could threaten Alexa's pawn but not his at least not yet.

Looking up at the bright green eyes before nodding with a smile as he spoke, " she is and her horses are wicked!" Remembering that she told Henry earlier in the year that she agreed tak teach him to ride over Christmas holiday and the summer holiday.

The boy had a major crush on Alexa Mackenzie but he didn't know it nor did he know much about love that he recognize that Alexa had a crush back on him while he spoke " your an amazing friend to Alexa! I'm more than thankful to know you and be friends with you."

Alexa was crestfallen. Heartbroken. Call it what you wanted to, but she hurt. Her heart seemed to hurt. Henry’s rejection, whether because he didn’t have feelings for her or was simply unaware of her feelings, was painful. She stared down at the chessboard. Her pawn was being threatened, but she didn’t care about the game anymore.

Quietly, she sat with her hands in her lap, staring down at the board as though she were thinking of a move, her hair having swung forward, effectively hiding her face. For once, she wasn’t blushing. She was terribly pale instead.

Finally she looked up at Henry. “Hey,” she said softly, trying to control the tremble in her voice. “Would you mind if we finished this game later? I just realized I forgot about some homework that I have to do for tomorrow…” She trailed off, feeling sick about lying, but it would be better than staying here. She needed to go back to the Common Room to recover…

As she waited for his answer, Alexa idly pinched a strand of hair between two fingers and began twisting it slowly, preoccupied. She had looked down again so that he could see her face, and how all the blood had left it. How could she be so stupid?

Wondering if he did something to @Alexa Mackenzie

Loki would scratch at Henry's knuckles and give a short meow as if to say "you are a idiot" before going over and sitting next to Alexa. Loki would put his paw on her leg and look into her eyes rying to communicate that Henry has a crush on her to but would fail since the feline can't speak human language.

Henry however does have a crush on Alexa but fails to recognizes it instead only saw his friend looking looking like something was wrong and his anxiety rose as he believed that he did something to her and now wanted to help.

"Is there something Wrong Al? Did I do something? Is there anything I can do to help?" Henry spoke with deep concern with his friend as he looked into her bright green eyes and couldn't help but compare them to a blossoming peace Lily.

When Henry heard her words and then noticed how pale her face was mainly as a accident the boy nodded and slowly started putting everything away as he spoke"sure, whatever you want Alexa! If you want we can head to the library together," Henry finished putting the chess board and pieces away and carried them in his arms as he stood again looking at his friend and crush that he didn't realize yet with a smile but also concern as he spoke" are you sure your alright, Alexa?"

Alexa watched in confusion as Loki scratched Henry on the hand, before walking over to her, of all people. She had never known the cat to scratch anyone, and it seemed odd that he would suddenly go after his master. Yet Alexa couldn't think about this too deeply, even as the cat placed his front paw on her leg, and looked imploringly at Henry. She was too racked with confusion and strong emotions to really process anything that Loki was doing.

Henry obviously felt her turmoil, as he looked worried and quickly began asking several questions. "No… Nothing's wrong," Alexa said, rather distantly. "You didn't do anything," she added, stroking Loki's head and looking past Henry over his shoulder. She didn't think she could make eye contact and not break down. As to his last question, in regard to helping her, she didn't answer. What could she say that wasn't another lie? She hated lying.

Henry finally nodded and started putting away the chess set, being very agreeable. Alexa felt horribly distant all of the sudden. It was a way of her mind protecting her from her out-of-control emotions, too painful to handle in Henry's presence. She felt as though she stood on the other side of the courtyard and watched without feeling as another part of her seemingly existed on the other side of the courtyard, kneeling in front of Henry.

Henry suggested that they go to the library. Together. He still didn't get it, and Alexa was brought back to herself as she shook her head slowly. "Sorry, Henry… But I really should be going." Suddenly she felt tears prick at the back of her eyes, and desperately not wanting to cry in front of him, she stood up abruptly, spun about, and dashed back inside the castle all the way to her common room. She burst through the door, making people look around in surprise, but she ignored them.

Finally she got to the solace of her bed, and pulled the hangings roughly closed she collapsed in a heap in the middle of her bed. Rascal squeaked and came up to her head, pushing his nose against her questioningly. As the tears started to flow silently, she crawled up, and pulled rascal to her chest, gently stroking him as her world seemed to fall apart.

Feeling devastated about @Alexa Mackenzie

Alexa's words didn't reassure Henry as he continued to stare at the red head with concern in eyes and worries that he did something to her. As Loki took a few steps back from the girl and let his eyes move back and forth of the to watching and wanting to yell the obvious but couldn't since he was a cat and couldn't exactly speak English... so he was forced to watch the disastrous situation.

Henry stared at the green eye girl wanting to say more but couldn't as he heard her voice then watched her walk off. A part of him felt broken. Like his heart just broken. It couldn't be described in words. Everything just felt weird, like everything was going gone....

Henry wanted to chase after Alexa, he wanted to apology and help her but something stopped the boy as he felt completely numb to the world and his emotions got in the way from doing anything.

The boy felt himself freeze and his breathing became heavier as his anxiety was becoming more present with these unknown emotions...

The boy wasn't looking forward to experiencing a panic attack in a public place like the courtyard so he would carefully but quickly set the pieces and board away and organized before taking the board and racing out of the courtyard with his orange feline following him back toward the common room.
