An Odd Encounter...
As Diamond rushed to the astronomy tower so she could look out at the stars before she had to go to her dormitory, she tripped and fell, dropping her wand. She sighed as she stood, and brushed herself off. Diamond picked up her wand, also wishing she knew any type of useful spell.
Once she got to the astronomy tower, she watched the stars carefully, hoping for a shooting star. She had never seen one before, and never even had a clear wish for one, but now, she had her's. "I wish to be a great witch. One of the best of all time." She stated. Diamond looked up in the sky, desperately searching for a star, but none showed. She sighed but started to leave. She tripped again, but at the same place. She looked at where she had tripped and saw a snake. She yelled in terror, as it had black, white, and red stripes. From her former knowledge, she knew that it was either a milk snake or a coral snake.
She looked a tad closer at its stripes and saw that the black stripes were touching the red stripes. She sighed with relief and stepped back from the snake, it could still be dangerous, even without venom.
Diamond stood there, frozen as she didn't want to upset the snake.

An Odd Encounter...
After finishing her homework, Grace decided to visit the Astronomy tower. She carefully stuffed her wand inside her robes, put on an extra cloak for warmth, and set off for the tower.
It was chilly outside. The wind made howling sounds as it ruffled past the castle grounds. Grace shivered, she knew that nights would be colder now, but never expected it to be this cold. She steadied herself in the wind, holding on to the walls of the tower, catching her breath.
And then she almost screamed.
In front of her was a girl about her age, and in front of the girl was a snake. Grace hated snakes. During a camping trip with the Girl Scouts group of her muggle primary school, Grace first encountered snakes in real life. It gave her quite a scare, as the snake snuck up to her tent during the middle of the night, causing Grace to have nightmares about snakes throughout the rest of the trip.
Grace's whole body was shaking uncontrollably, she almost blacked out for a second. She tightened her grip on her wand, almost snapping it in half. Her hands were sweating, and she stumbled. Mouth open and gasping for breath, Grace risked one look at the snake. The colored stripes on its body made her dizzy.
The girl standing behind the snake seemed to be afraid of the snake as well, as she was frozen on the spot and not daring to even move. Grace took a deep breath to calm down her feelings. "Uh, what are you doing with a snake here?" Grace asked, her voice was shaky and out of breath.
