The End of a Beginning
Ever since I received the letter from Hogwarts, I have been looking forward to the day when I will take the Hogwarts Express.
The night before I was scheduled to take the express to school, I could barely sleep. I tossed and turned, wondering what it was going to be like at Hogwarts, how many friends I would have, and which house I would be sorted into.
The following morning, I got up and dressed in my best muggle outfit (T-shirt and jeans). My mom greeted me in the kitchen. I ate nothing but a buttered roll. My stomach was filled with a jiggly feeling. My brother Kevin seemed to be even more excited than I am. He even offered to help with my trunk, but discovered that it was too heavy for him to carry.
I checked again to make sure I had everything. Yep, I'm totally ready.
We drove to the train station in my mom's car. She explained how we will have to wait for a chance to go through the invisible barrier when no one is watching. That will take us to platform 9 3/4.
The red steaming train was already waiting for us when we entered the barrier. I hugged both my mom and my brother. After that, I loaded my trunk into the nearest compartment, hoping against hope that someone will join me. After all, it was the end to my child life, and a fresh new beginning.
*OOC Note: Kevin and my mom are NPCs
