The Start of a Journey - Closed

Having known for a month that she would be arriving at Hogwarts not too long after her eleventh birthday, Amber was both anxious and excited. Arriving at Platform 9 and 3/4 had been fun, but now that she was on the train, she was nervous. The hardest part would be finding a compartment that did not have too many students crammed inside. While she would hope that she could find someone she recognized, her priority was to find a compartment for the trip.

Slipping into the first empty compartment she saw, the young red-head settled herself down on the seat. Amber knew that the train cars would not stay empty, and soon enough, people would be asking to join her. She was prepared for that but at the same time not prepared for interactions. Digging into her bookbag, the one thing she vowed to always keep on her person no matter what she was wearing, Amber picked out her favorite novel and started to read. The quiet of the train as it prepared to depart was enough that she could feel herself getting lost within the pages.

Having read this book several times already, Amber would not be upset if someone should interrupt her. However, the young witch hoped that she could make decent progress as they traveled to the Scottish Highlands for Hogwarts. Oh, how she was ready for the adventure that lay ahead.
