Lisabetta hurried along the dark corridors of the dungeons, silently attacking herself for getting such a late start in the day. It was one of her biggest pet peeves ((heehee, peeves)) to be late, especially when it was her own fault she was late. She was glad that she had been exploring the castle in between classes with her best friend because she had figured out the quickest way to each of her classrooms. She walked into the classroom as silently and quickly as possible as to not draw attention to herself, finding that most of her other classmates are already paired up and were in conversations with each other. She had been opening up a lot more since she had arrived at Hogwarts, but she wasn't sure if she was quite ready to just walk up to someone and start talking, so she found an empty desk. She placed her bag down on the table, taking out her class supplies to begin the lesson.

She had been surprised with how much she had taken to Potions class, she had really enjoyed it, and, apparently, was pretty okay on it, receiving an O on her first homework assignment. When she first arrived at Hogwarts, she thought she would have been more drawn to Charms and History of Magic, which she still was, but Potions was almost on the bottom of the list of which classes she was most excited about, right above Defense Against the Dark Arts. She looked around at her classmates who seemed to be either into the study or into their conversations. She was happy to notice that she wasn't the only one sitting alone, made her not feel as weird about it. She continued on with her classwork, glancing up every now and then to make sure that she was following the Professor's instructions.

Katherine quickly drifted across the dark hall of the dungeons, opened the door. Obviously, she was late. Katherine was always organised, and she never expected to be this late. She just found a place to sit and pulled out her books, then started turning the pages. Oh, she didn't think that she would catch up but surprisingly, she ended up being the best in class, answering most of the questions correct. In fact, she read the books before the class even started. The student's faces were astonished and that lead to some bullying, well, it was worth it. She got an O for the assignment and that lead to some students shooting a look at her. The fact that she had read before the other students covered up her mistakes. Katherine had mastered potions when she was nine years old. She thought this would be the easiest subject, and it was, indeed. Potions and Transfiguration was her charm, about DADA she wasn't really confident about it. But when it comes to divination, she hopes she'll impress the professor. About History Of Magic, she's read it and it's slightly interesting. If you talk about Charms, eh... she wasn't that psyched about the subject, either. When the class had ended, she walked to the study room.

She saw Erwin fall, and she walked over toward him nervously "Are you alright?" she asked softly, almost in a whisper. Oh no, what if he told her to bugger off, what if he told someone she'd pushed him. Oh now she'd done it speaking to someone. She began to pick up her things and tensed up her face, prepared for any punishment or comment that came her way. She had totally asked for it now.

When she thought of her parents, she opened her eyes and looked at Erwin. Whose nose was red and looked almost broken. Then she knew he could be just like her. A clutz at times. She giggled slightly when he looked at her. He looked kind of funny when he held his nose, but a good funny.

She began then to smile sweetly at him and extended a hand "I'm Verla. Pleasure to meet you." she said in a kind voice. "I think you're the first person I've spoken to without stuttering, stick around, you could be a charm for me." She winked at him, then felt her cheeks go red.

Did I seriously just say that? Ugh I'm such a moron! She mentally face palmed herself.

Erwin's head snapped up at the sound of someone asking him how he was. He couldn't help the small blush that dusted his face as he realised someone DID see him fall. He looked up at the girl and smiled nervously.
"Y..yeah I'm alright. Thanks"
He mumbled as he scratched the back of his neck. He placed his hands on his face only for his eyes to widen as he realised he had broken his nose.
"Well then.."
He groaned and found his wand. He pointed it at his nose and tried to remember the spell his friend taught him.
"Oh! Episky"
He said loud and clear as he winced at his nose snapping back into place. He smiled and wiggled his nose before realising the girl was still staring.
"Oh! Um..My name's Erwin"
He chuckled only for it to hitch at her next comment. He blushed furiously and coughed a little with a small smile on his face.
"I..don't usually talk to people either. But..If you want..you can sit with me?"
He mumbled before coughing slightly.
"I..If you want that is. I wouldn't personally sit next to me but if you want y..you can"
He ranted and looked down at his book in embarrassment

"I would love to sit next to you" she smiled sweetly and sat down. She nervously nibbled on a cookie this is the moment and she could very well fall on her own face but she got down safely. She offered him a cookie and smiled. "How's your nose?"

What if he told her he was fine and that he changed his mind about inviting her. She wrote nervously on her piece of paper about a story she was working on before class started. She tried to seem friendly and kind, of course that view could always change. Her muggle friends first saw her as a funny girl, a girl who read too much, or a girl who was rude just by not speaking out loud. This had hurt her severally, that was when she realized she would become better than those cruel children. She vowed never to treat others that same way, and here she was trying. Probably making a fool out of her own self. Verla never wanted to fail socially at school.

Michelle walked briskly to her first potions class, she wanted to be early to make a good impression, maybe look around for a little bit and see just what potions might entail. She took a seat at one of the tables, not caring who she sat beside. She pulled out her textbook, parchment, and quill she didn't want to say that she hated the quill because to her it was aesthetically pleasing, but she hated the quill because everything smudged and it took forever to dry, she would literally kill someone for a pen or even better a pencil.

Michelle sighed and observed the classroom, the cold dark stone interior was fitting for the basement of the castle. She pitied the Slytherins whose common room was down here, it must be so cold and dreary. Nothing would get her give up her dormitories, they were so cozy and she got the best sleep.

A few students trickled in after and her excitement started to shift in her stomach. Michelle was really looking forward to potions, as soon as she heard about it she was interested. It sounded like science and that was her favourite subject in her old school, she got pretty good grades so she hoped that that would show in this class. She could barely stop her leg from bouncing from excitement and anticipation. She really hoped she liked this class, all of her other classes had been a drag so far.

Michelle took a deep breath and reminded herself that this was the first day, she would most likely be disappointed because they needed to learn basics first. That calmed her down a bit and she focused her attention on her textbook.

Zoe timidly walked into the potions classroom. It was dark but she forced herself to not focus on that. Though she was excited to see what potions would be like. Maybe she would have a teacher similar to the spy Severus Snape, who was told to not like anyone who wasn't a Slytherin.

Being pushed roughly into a desk, Zoe stumbled her way towards an empty desk. She quietly observed the classroom. It was cold and dimly lighted. There were cupboards full of potions, ingredients and books that looked brand new. It was similar to the common room with it's walls made out of stone, but different as the common room was more warm and decorated with green.

Zoe pulled out Magical Drafts and Potions, parchment, ink and a quill. She noticed that she sat alone but that didn't bother her at all.

She took a deep breath and got herself ready for learning.

The worst despair of all comes from having hope like that. Having such strong hope and just losing it in an instant...

Aurora ran into the room, holding her box of vials, her cauldron, and potion books, and skids across the floor toward a table. She leaps onto the chair and slams the box onto the table. "HI!" she says, and giggles. She opens the book with great haste, and flips through. "Oh! Amortenia! A love potion...". She covers up her grin with her pink scarf. She walks over to the ingredient shelves and grabs all the ingredients she needs, walks back, then drops all the ingredients into the cauldron, full of water. "I hope this works!" Aurora cheered, and read the book some more to see what to do next.

Aurelia sat alone at the back of the classroom. She always came to class early and was never late. Many students strolled in even though class had started 5 minutes ago. Sat alone and didn't need a potion partner, she could easily brew a potion without any help. She was flipping through the book on Magical Drafts and potions and was reading through the types of different potions. She browsed through the potions for beginners. "Antidote to common poisons..." she read. This seemed handy. She shut the book closed when she was done browsing through most of the potions, she wasn't allowed to make them anyways as The professor wasn't in the classroom yet.

She took out her pencil and sketch book and started drawing. It was a good thing she packed a few boxes of pencils in her trunk before her car ride to the hogwarts express. It was 2018 and hogwarts still didn't use pencils.

A girl with bright pink hair rushed into the room, sat down and immediately took out the textbook. She flipped through the book.
Oh! Amortenia! A love potion...
She said. She stood up and hastenly began to gather all the materials. Aurelia shook her head. What was the girl thinking? Making potions underage without supervision, especially Amortenia, could get her in trouble. But even then, the girl wouldn't be able to brew such an advanced potion in her first potion class. Still, Aurelia knew a thousand things that could go wrong. She contemplated wether she should tell her.

"Um, excuse me," she called out to the girl.

"I don't think you should be making potions as the professor isn't here to supervise us." She told the girl.

"I don't care, making potions will be fun! My mum is amazing at making potions, it couldn't hurt to try!" Aurora said. "I often mix together ingredients, I don't often have issues with it. If anything, it bubbles over or doesn't work... but I'm sure it'll be fine!" she said. She mixed together the ingredients, and it turned into a pinkish red with an above froth. She scooped it into a few vials and slipped them into her bag. "It didn't explode, let's hope it works in general.." Aurora said. She filled up a few more vials, put them into her potion bag, and started labelling them using a bit of parchment tape and her quill, with some pink rose ink she had gathered from her bag. She drew hearts with an arrow through them on every single vial, to symbolise Cupid's arrow. "I wonder who these will be used for..." she thought. She glanced around the room, but she saw no suitable candidates for the potion to be used on. "Maybe another day I can pick someone..." she muttered, and then walked out of the classroom, happy about making a potion that day. She is slowly but surely following in her mother's footsteps.
