The Abandoned Alone Time
Paisley was angry. Not at Wren for once. At life. The world could be frustrating, especially at the Gryffindor table. There was always an argument happening that could put you in low spirits. It was after dinner, and after listening to the end of what seemed to be a strong friendship between two students, Paisley couldn't take it anymore. Was nothing in life certain? Everything seemed to be on a plate, that could at any moment be yanked to the side. The people in the plate would lose most of everything and desperately grip to the remnants, and it was enough to put her in a bad move. She had a particularly bad yank when her best friend, Allie, had left the school.
Time: Right After Dinner
Place: Abandoned Toilets

She stomped out of the great hall and right into the Abandoned Toilets. Why there? She didn't know. She was mad, and needed to get away from people. She shared a dorm. A bathroom. A common room. There was no where alone at this school. She tried turning on all the faucets, hearing their knobs squeak, but barely any water came out. She took out her wand, twirling it around in her fingers.
She leaned against a sink, lost in thought. What am I so upset about? she wondered, but it didn't take her long to find the answer. It was indeed about Wren. I need to know if she knows I'm a werewolf, but I can't just ask her. I have to wait for her to say something. I have to...to... she lost her train of thought as the door creaked open.
"Hello?" she asked, sitting up. "Hello? Who the heck just walked in here? There are literally a thousand other places in this school, and yet you pick this one. Is there no place to rest?" she wondered aloud, speaking irritably. This was not a common hangout spot for the kids at Hogwarts, she knew that much. That was when she saw her. "Dipper!" It came out more startled than she had meant it.

Wren twirled her fork in her hand, staring down at her unappetizing looking plate. The great hall was bustling with students and loud noises that she was desperately trying to ignore. The other night had been very eventful, but not all in a good way. They had discovered the first crystal but along with it came a secret and memories that were likely best kept hidden. Another werewolf... Of all people, Paisley had been the last in a line of everyone who Wren would have expected to be of that race. But of course, nothing in her life was expected, especially when it came to this topic.
Wren looked up quickly as a new set of footsteps sounded behind her. Paisley had jumped from the table and was storming from the room. What now... she thought, getting up to follow her. Everything grew quiet as she walked down the hallway after Paisley, who was still unaware of her presence.
"Hello?" asked Paisley as Wren opened the creaky door, "Who the heck just walked in here? There are literally a thousand other places in this school, and yet you pick this one. Is there no place to rest?" Wren smiled slyly as the girl turned around and exclaimed with shock.
"Need some time alone? You not pleased with the way your secret came out? I never expected you, of all people, to be a werewolf. You seemed so normal, but I guess I can't really say that anymore." sneered Wren, her anger at past events fueling her mischievous behavior.

The color drained from Paisley's face. "Shut up," She hissed angrily. Her secret had been revealed to the most untrustworthy person in all of Hogwarts. In a flash she was standing in front of Wren, her wand out. The anger she had felt before was nothing compared to right now. She was blinded with rage. She felt stupid because she had let Wren know, but even worse knowing that her secret wasn't safe. Overnight, the entire school could know about it. "Don't you see no one knows that for a reason, or can you not see anything with your nose way up in the air like that?" She had heard the insult on a tv show, but she thought it fit well here.@Wren Windgazer
She looked upon the sly face she had once imagined could be her friend. All thoughts of that vanished. She felt confident in using her wand, and she did. It was the first time she was using a spell against someone else, but she had never felt a situation that felt as if it needed it more.
"Tarantallegra," she said, pointing her wand at Dipper's feet. It missed and bounced off the sink with a crack. Her aim was off because her hand was shaking so much. She calmed herself. She needed to think. But when she caught sight of Dipper again, she couldn't. She ran up to her and hissed something in her ear. "I can't believe you, heartless idiot. I hate you."
Paisley spoke only the truth. She glowered at Wren.

"Shut up!" yelled Paisley, her eyes burning with rage. Wren knew she had hit a nerve. It was obvious that the girl didn't want anyone to know about her condition, but it was to late for that now.
"Does it bother you?" Wren hissed back, ignoring the thought that they had made a truce. They didn't work well together, and suppressing those feelings was bound to lead them down the wrong path, "Don't really care for being called a..."
"Don't you see no one knows that for a reason," Paisley cut her off, "or can you not see anything with your nose way up in the air like that?"
"I can see just fine. I was more worried about you. That long snout you have must make it hard to see anything that's not directly in front of you." Wren's smile still remained as Paisley took her wand from her pocket. Wren let her fingers wrap around the smooth wood of her own wand, ready to cast a spell at any moment. She had been eager to try out some of the spells she'd learned, and this seemed like the perfect occasion to do it.
"Tarantallegra!" She took a half-step backwards as Paisley pointed her wand at her feet and called out the spell. It missed her entirely, causing a loud cracking sound as it hit the sink. Wren smiled widened as Paisley stormed over to her.
""I can't believe you, heartless idiot. I hate you." she whispered in her ear before walking away. Wren watched her go, but she wasn't finished yet.
"You might want to work on your aim, Needles. Just something to think about back in the dormitory." she said, pointing her wand at the girl's back, "And your awareness could use some work as well. Tarantallegra!" Wren watched as the spell fired from the tip of her wand and flew towards Paisley. It went just above her shoulder, missing her by millimeter and shattering the glass in front of her. I'll have to fix that in a moment, she thought, getting ready to cast another spell.

Paisley couldn't believe it. Did Wren really not understand how terribly this was hurting her? Paisley turned around after the girl cast her spell. Nothing seemed to be holding the young Gryffindor back. She would do anything to make Wren stop talking. The things she had heard Wren say she already knew. She knew she was a monster. She was weird. Different. And she hated it. "Listen here, Dipper. I keep this a secret for a reason, you know. I want to be normal. Just like you, just like everyone else at this school," Paisley paused, her voice desperate. Her eyes darted here and there, searching. "I never asked to be this way." her voice cracked as she tried to hold back tears. "I don't have a choice, okay." she whispered harshly, her vision blurred by tears. It was then that the young Gryffindor realized just how much of a prisoner she was in her own body. She looked at Wren scornfully. To think she ever wanted to be this girls friend!Interacting with: @Wren Windgazer
"Wingardium leviosa!" She shouted, and this time the spell hit its target. The back of Wren's shirt started to lift up behind her, raising her shoulders. Paisley quickly ducked into a stall and locked the door. She couldn't believe what she had done. What if a teacher walked in right then?"Is there a counter spell?" she muttered worriedly to herself.

proof of being caught [12/22/20]ReducioIt was a known fact that every day at Hogwarts entailed a new adventure, some good, some terrifying, but this was something new entirely.
A bit after dinner, Frost had decided to start her patrols as time headed into the evening. In her, albiet short, time as a prefect so far, the girl had not yet seen any students breaking rules. Well, none while she was patrolling... the time when she was included in a fight did not count, neither did sneaking around after hours. Ironically enough, Frost had broken more rules since she became a prefect.
Her clean record of having caught no misbehaving students sadly ceased to exist as of this moment. Not only was the abandoned toilets one of her patrolling areas, it was also on the way to her other areas. Frost's ears perked at the sound of arguing coming from the direction of the toilets, turning and entering the room. Staying somewhat out of sight, leaning one shoulder on the doorway, observing the exchanging of words.
And then the exchanging of spells.
Two dancing feet spells, and the sound of shattering glass. The second girl cast one more, a levitation charm and dashed into a stall, muttering as the other started to float. Immediatley, the redhead girl stood up straight, walking out of the doorway. Frost, known for being an older sister figure and sweet as honey, carried an air of warmth and charm (CALMING PRESENCE ABILITY IN USE, HOPEFULLY TO CALM THE GIRLS DOWN). As a prefect, she used her power in a polite yet firm way, devoid of strictness.
"I know it may be hard to get along with certain people," her dainty footsteps made their way between the floating girl and the stall the other ran into. "But please, try not to break out into fights. Violence does not solve problems, girls." Taking her wand out of her pocket, Frost cast a charm to repair the shattered glass. As the pieces came back together, she sighed. "This bathroom is not a dueling stage. If you would like to duel, I suggest the dueling club."
"Now, let's get you down. Finite Incantatem." A gentle smile on her face, Frost lifted her wand at the floating girl and casted the counter spell. As she descended, the older girl scanned her for any sign of injury. "Are you alright?" After checking her condition, Frost knocked ever so politely on the stall door where the second girl had hid. "Excuse me, but could you please come out of there?" And thanked her once she had exited.
Standing bewteen the two girls, Frost scratched the back of her neck and gave a slightly nervous smile. "Ah, sorry, this is my first time doing this, so you'll have to bear with me." By 'this', she meant give detention, and catching misbehavior in general. If the redhead had not worn a prefect badge, it would have been impossible to mark her as a prefect, or even as a fourth year, just by her appearance and actions alone.
Putting her wand away, expecting Wren and Paisley to do the same, Frost remembered about getting their information, a little 'Oh right!' spoken under her breath. "What are your names? Oh, and your years, please." Just by a glace at their robes, Frost had known what house the two were in. "Alright. I would like you both to apologize and leave, please. Expect an owl from me containing the details of your detention soon."
Frost waits until they have done so and leaves after they do, holding the door for them.Hiya! I would just like to say that you are both not actually in trouble, just your characters. Until you have completed detention (which I will owl you both about), you may not start new rp threads after this in character date. Of course, you can still make ooc threads, join ones before the ic date and any backdated threads, as well as threads you are already in. If you would like, take a look at the detention system thread here [LINK].
You may both post once more in reaction to my bean of a character, but after that, this thread will be locked. Expect my owl and a detention thread soon. I have great stuff planned. Have a good day!✿

"Wingardium Leviosa!" yelled Paisley, the spell shooting from her wand before she ran and slammed the stall door behind her. Wren heard a small snapping sound next to her ear as the charm hit her shoulder. Wren had no time to think as she was lifted into the air, the ceiling slowly rising up to meet her and the ground drifting away. She frantically wracked her brain for the counter spell, which she knew she'd seen though she'd never actually cast it herself. Let alone on her.
"I know it may be hard to get along with certain people, but please, try not to break out into fights." Wren snapped her head around at the sound of a girls voice. She was standing in the doorway, a sweet smile spread across her face that gave away her Hufflepuff home. Even with her bad eye, Wren could see the prefect badge pinned to the girls robes, "Violence does not solve problems, girls. This bathroom is not a dueling stage. If you would like to duel, I suggest the dueling club." She watched as the prefect fixed the glass mirror that she'd accidentally broken, wondering if Paisley was hearing all of this. Why is she here? she thought, frustration still fueling her rudeness.
"Now, let's get you down. Finite Incantatem." Wren landed lightly on her feet as she dropped to the ground, the girl asking her questions of if she was alright. She hated the odd feeling of calmness that swept over her now that the girl was closer to her. It felt very unnatural and she desperately wished it would go away.
"I'm fine." she spoke firmly, clutching her wand tightly as if the girl would take it from her. She was relieved when the prefect left to go knock on the stall in which Paisley had disappeared to, taking with her the weird calmness. I don't like this girl, she thought as Paisley followed the girl from the stall and back over to Wren, "What are your names? Oh, and your years, please."
"Wren Windgazer, first year." Wren spoke with great hostility, purposely ignoring the gesture to put her wand away. She was in no mood for this.
"Alright. I would like you both to apologize and leave, please. Expect an owl from me containing the details of your detention soon." Wren stood with her mouth slightly open as the prefect walked away, holding open the door so they would leave.
"This is crazy, not going to happen." Wren muttered harshly under her breath in Parselmouth. Suddenly all her anger at Paisley came flooding back to her, and she couldn't hold it in any longer, "Tarantallegra!" The spell hit Paisley right where she had aimed. Still gripping the wand in her hand, she stalked from the the abandoned room without a glance behind her.

Paisley's mouth hung open in shock as the prefect walked in. Of all the people to come strolling in.... she though angrily to herself. She clenched her fists at her sides, glaring at Wren. She wanted to cast another spell, but she didn't dare. At the mention of detention, she shook her head frantically.Interacting with: @Frost Cira @Wren Windgazer
"No! You don't understand! She-and then I-but then the tree-and she saw-and I-" she bowed her head in defeat. Her lower lip quivered, and she felt embarrassment flood her as tears started to fall from her eyes and to the floor. She barely listened to what Wren had to say. Instead she was only listening to the prefect ask her name.
She felt her heart rate slow to its normal speed, and she could see clearly again, no longer blinded with rage and tears. Her moment of emotion was over. Instead she just felt ashamed. Wren, on the other hand, seemed to be barely holding herself back from throwing herself on top of Paisley. The young Gryffindor had a feeling things would be quite different now.
Paisley looked up, staring blankly at Wren. "Paisley Brown," Paisley said. "First year." Wren practically spat out her name. "Don't you mean Dipper?" Paisley sneered. She heard the words 'apologize' being thrown around, and she kept her mouth clamped firmly shut. That would never happen if she could help it.
The rage that had overcome her before was gone. Now she felt a buzzing sense of calmness that was almost worse. It settled into one thought: I hate Wren Windgazer. She breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad. This girl was obviously disrespectful. Now she knew what to expect, and she could stay properly mad at her the rest of their lives'.
Then the young girl began to dance.
