A Cultivating Inquiry PV Pericles Finished

Interacting with @Pericles Dralt
Pericles was someone that Willow had already decided was one that she would try to keep around. Something about him, even though his life was vastly different than hers, was familiar and comforting. Perhaps it was the shared excitement of learning something new for both of them, just children exchanging information about their special interests. Maybe it was the link that brought them both to the library at Hogwarts, which is not something particularly special until you find out just how many things had to align to bring them to this moment. Willow was a firm believer that some people were brought into your life for a reason, Pericles was one of those that had already wiggled his way quite easily into her heart. It was a saying that the easiest way to someone's heart was through their stomach, but for Willow it was taking a genuine interest in her home magic that had helped build some of the strongest connections for her at Hogwarts.

As Pericles talked about the memory webs, she grabbed a notebook that was for her miscellaneous notes. Things she was interested in that didn't necessarily fit into the realm of her witchcraft. She quickly scribbled something about the memory webs and what they were. As she thought of a memory web for Pericles name, she idly tapped the quill against her chin. "So, maybe I could remember yours because pears are one of my fruits, and now you're one of my favorite people!" A bright grin spread across her face, quite proud of the memory web that she created on her first try. As well as quite an intense declaration of her already intense platonic feelings for the boy in front of her.

Although the thinking face of concentration about wizard culture quickly replaced the smile once more as they talked about surnames, gently shaking her head when Pericles insinuated that his curiosity was a burden. "No you're fine! I love talking about my family. My father is quite extraordinary for many things, I never really thought about how nice that was of him. I mean, I'm very proud of being an Anderson. Maybe I should start introducing myself with my surname as well, just to show how proud I am. Make a tradition out of it, just for myself." Her mind was constantly learning and adapting on ways to incorporate things that were fairly normal and tradition among wizards into her life. About how to make herself seem like more of a wizard than she even she believed that she was.

Willow, as if it was possible, perked up even more when Pericles mentioned his mother was a diviner. "Could I trouble you to ask her sometime if she ever has? No problem if it would be too much." It seemed like a new quest for her, finding out if pendulums were a divination tool in this world of divination, and if they weren't... Well, she was determined to invent it herself if she had to. A strong willed girl in her practice, any chance to merge her two worlds were an opportunity that she wouldn't pass up lightly.

She knew she had made the right choice handing over the books for him to borrow when she was able to see the bright look on his face when he cradled them as if they were newborns that needed to be fiercely protected. Even more so when he wrote down his own name to make sure that she could hold him properly accountable for the tomes that he held. Although, she wouldn't be forgetting him or his name anytime soon. She tucked away the paper within the journal of miscellaneous thoughts before meeting his eyes once more, giggling at his pun that tickled her heart. "Anytime Pericles, I would love to study with you again. Feel free to owl me every question you have, I will answer them all the best that I can." With a nod as he headed out, she returned to her transcription work that she had been working on, much more content than she had felt all day.
Thread is now Finished.
