The first detail the emerald eyed boy would experience in the school he once dreamed of being in was the echo of his own footsteps in the desolate hallway. Solitude and loneliness. It was these terms that symbolized Calvon’s first two months at the school of his dreams. In fact, it signified more than just the two months that had passed in the semester. Just over four months ago, Calvon had come to Hogwarts to participate in an Slytherin summer event just to end up suffering from a trifecta of injuries all a result of a mad, carnal beast of a student by the name of Erik.

The mere thought of the name caused the 11 year old to shudder in fear and trauma. That was no ordinary boy to Calvon. It didn’t matter that they were near the same age. It didn’t matter than the boy was no was near the height of an adult. It didn’t matter if they bled the same color. That thing was a beast and, eventually, Calvon would have vengeance for the concussion, tibia contusion, and broken jaw.

He swore on the metal in his mouth.

But for now, the black haired boy had to focus on something less depressing than the events that eventually led to his discharge from the infirmary. Such as catching up on the two months worth of assignments and classes he was behind. Actually...that was probably as equally, mentally depressing as the physical injuries he had sustained. With a heavy, painful sigh, the schoolboy decided that right now, he needed to get his head off of how the school of his dreams was turning out to be exactly that, a dream. It was clear that the Hogwarts he knew, the school he always fantasized about was nothing more than a collection of superficial hopes and wishes that would never be realized. Otherwise, why else would he be walking through deserted hallways by himself--two months in--without a single person to call his friend?

It was a question that he neither wanted to think or about or answer. All he needed in this moment was a distraction--a distraction from the pain and loneliness that defined his current stay at Hogwarts. And so, the four foot nine boy made his way into a place where he knew always eased his mind, body, and heart. Upon entering, the familiar musty scent caressed his nostrils and softened his heart. The aroma of decaying wood pulp and old books would cause his jaw to relax as his conditioning, unknown to him, began to set in. It was inevitable--reading would seemingly transport him to a different era, world, or universe. His brain had, thus, began to associate this “musty” smell with one that eventually led to comfort. And it was this fragrance now, that smoothed a smile across the lone boy’s face.

Calvon would grab a book about the ancient emperors of Rome and take a seat in the far corner of the library so that he could see the entrance. Once comfortable with his positioning, he’d pull up another chair, rest his feet on top, and open his book of choice. It was time to dive in.

If the ends justify the means, then shouldn’t we wait to see how things turn out?

Henry headed to the library as usual, he much preferred the place compared to his common room or the great hall or anywhere really. He knew the librarian and quite liked her and most of his friends also liked the library as much as he did so he not excuse to not get lost among its books in his free time. Henry hoisted his messager type bag on his shoulder as he stepped into the library and took a breath, he was at home. As the familiar smells of parchment and dried ink filled his nose a sense of clam and relaxation ran over the twelve year old who was almost always suffering with anxiety.

Henry started to make his way down aisles looking for books, occasionally stopping and taking one off the shelf to read a page or two before placing it in his messager type bag for him later. This continued for a good 15 minutes or so until his bag was full of books and his arms carried a rather impressive stacked of them as he emerged from the depths of the library and stared ahead now he thought was the hard part; trying to fine somewhere to sit.

Henry was rather anxious and his anxiety caused him to panic about the littlest of things as he passed tables filled with students finally coming to see that there were no empty tables, sadly so Henry approached one with only a single boy at it as he spoke quite softly " uh hi, is anyone sitting here?"

The library was a nice place. It was very quiet. It had books. It was close to the Great hall. It was the best room at Hogwarts so far.

Michael had met numerous people, and he stayed clear of even more. Like Jack, how seem to read everyone like a book. Or Selim, who looked like he could kill anyone without even using his hands. Or Calvon, the young boy, who Michael swore was older than he said he was, that seem to never be in the dorms.

Today Michael was trying to find a good place ti read outsode the library. Maybe the courtyard? He walked out there, only for the sun to immediately blind him. Nope, next. He walked down the halls, one hand, his left one, holding his book, the other on the wall by him, letting it glide in a line. He was surprised there was no dust on the wall, as it was a very old and big school. Maybe there were cleaning spells? He'd have to ask his house elf, Murphy.

The young boy began to hum as he made his way through the halls. The great hall was next, and the second he walked in he knew this wasn't going to work. But, he had to atleast try it. So he stand down at the Slytherin table, cleaning anything that could have been on the table with his sleeve, which he then rubbed on his pants, to which he wiped that with his hand, then he sat his book down and started to read.

And then he heard the chewing, and the crunching, and the . . .singing? He huffed as he stood grabbing the book and leaving the great hall again. He need to find somewhere!

An hour later, and no where was good enough, not even in the dorm as Jack and Selim were there. He walked into the library and searched for a nice seat. By the muggle literature? No that was by the window pointing to the quidditch pitch, too many distractions. Maybe the potions? No the lighting was horrible. He was still searching when he saw him.

Calvon Faux. He was sitting in the far corner of the library. A book about the ancient emperors of Rome in his hands if the bold letters on it were anything to go by. He looked comfortable, leaning back with his legs in another chair, he didn't look dangerous or anything. Michael could tell that the entrance was in Calvon's sights. He wondered if the boy had saw him. Maybe so, as he didn't see anyone enter after him, and he was always within seeing distance of the door.

Michael stood where he was for a few more moments. Would he be intruding? Yes. Like no doubt about it. Did he care? Well. . yea, Calvon seemed like he could really make him wish he never stepped into the library that day, but. . . but?

But he was curious and he couldn't help himself. So he moved to go to Calvon, only for someone else to go to the boy instead. Henry.

As much as Michael was glad to see the other boy, he knew that he'd never be able to talk to Calvon with him here. He sighed and moved back to where he was hiding, behind the book cases that houses books on rumes and ciphers, a small space between two books being his only way to view the other boys. He wondered if Henry even knew the boy he was talking to. Most likely not. Henry would never willing go to a boy whom could give him more worries. He bite his lip, what should he do? He could . .

He sighed, he was acting like Calvon would hurt Henry, the boy was 11 for merlin sake. But. . .he was very secretive, maybe he could. The boys bite his lip hard, he didn't know what to do. Step in or let Henry deal with whatever happens alone?

Michael decided to step in. "Henry! Hi," he said with a smile, looking at Calvon out of the counter of his eye. The boy was looking at them, but not as he was listening, more like observing. Michael shivered slighty. He didn't like feeling so. . shallow. He turned looking over the young boy in return. "Hiya there, Cal, I mean Calvon. Hi Calvon" he said awkardly. He bite his lip, then turned back to Henry. " There's a table free in the back, by Muggle traditions and Holidays, it has nice lighting. We can sit there, maybe you could help me with my potions?" He asked. He was trying to make Henry leave from near the other boy. He didn't trust him. Somthing about Calvon irked him.

Striding into the library, it did not take long for Jack to spot three of his newest dorm mates right in his line of vision. Since Calvon was positioned to see the library entrance with Henry and Michael near, the entrance was also the ideal place to spot the trio quite easily. At first he was suspicious as to what they might have been up to. However, a quick analysis of Calvon's book, Henry's expression, and Michael's words quickly eased his doubts. Evidently, none of them had planned to meet there.

Without hesitation, Jack ambled over like he himself had meant to find Calvon where he was the entire time.

"There you are, Faux. Brushing up on...what? Ancient history?" The redhead lightly tapped the cover of the book on ancient Roman emperors. "I preferred the Greeks myself, but Rome had its own accomplishments. Got a favorite emperor yet?"

His hazel eyes cut to Henry and Miller as if noticing them for the first time. "Oh, hey! You guys here to study, too? Or just wanting to keep Faux company?"

If Jack recalled correctly, Calvon and Michael were both first years. Henry was a second year like himself, but he seemed just as nervous as his underclassmen. Jack often forgot he wasn't in their same year instead of in his.
