Nothing will change now right?
Once he saw Logan agree with him about defense spells, Henry made sure his wand was tucked away in his inside jacket pocket before counting on his fingers and started to mutter different defense spells and their movements as well of their latin origins which the words themselves no one could make out but you could have definitely heard noise escaping the boy's lips as he ran through spells in his hand deciding the best and probably worst ones before he would speak to Logan.
" The extinguishing charm will probably be important then if incendio is popular among the other duelers which it might be," Henry spoke as he looked toward Logan with a smile as he remembered all the cases where incendio was used at Hogwarts and by which students which was basically at least Henry thought was mostly gryffindor's.
He was about to say a few more defense spells when he heard Logan suggest one and looked down at where she was pointing when he saw fumos. Henry thought of it for a while before he would comment " fumos the spell that creates a cloud of smoke, I think it could be considered as both offensive and defensive since of cast correctly it makes it difficult to see anything in front of you. Would you like to practice casting Robin?"

When Henry asked if Logan wanted to practice Fumos, Logan nodded her head a little. "Yeah, I think that might help. But how are we going to get rid of all of the smoke?" The Hufflepuff questioned as she looked up at her best friend slowly. She would prefer if they had a way to get rid of the smoke, incase someone walked in and assumed they were lighting the room on fire. That was something she did not want. Logan thought about whether it was even a good idea to be practicing the spells without someone to supervise them, what if someone was going to get hurt.
Instead of thinking about the worse that could happen, Logan shook her head with a groan and looked up at Henry again with a dorky smile on her face. She really was trying her best to calm her nerves. She needed to stay calm if she was going to have her spell actually be successful in any way, shape, or form. A failed spell wouldn't do anything to help her confidence, so she needed to make sure she was focused. Looking down, Logan made sure her wand was beside her as she reached over and pulled it just a bit closer to her.

@Logan BairdHenry heard his best friend's concern and let his eye's examine the room as he thought about the spell. His right hand tapped his leg in a rhythmic manner as he went over the spell in his head; the incantatem, wand movement, Latin origin, greek origin, pronunciation, effect, causes was all spiraling through his head as he was determining the best way to combat or handle the smokescreen spell.
In a actual duel he determined the answer would be irrelevant since with no way to get rid of the smoke until it clear up would give the team a edge against their opponents as it made it harder to see and so the accuracy of the caster would be affected as well however they weren't in a actual duel situation and depending who entered the room as what time depended on the results of their the spell so Henry ruled it down to two spells as he turned toward Logan with a smile.
" I'm party sure there are no counter spells for the smokescreen spell however I go try the general counter spell or the wind jinx to get rid of the smoke after you cast it," Henry spoke toward her with a smile on his face before looking around again to make sure no one was entering the room and going to stand next to her when he spoke " ready to cast then robin?"

Logan listened to Henry carefully as she stood up from book and took a few steps away from the spot she was previously in. She was nervous about this spell, as she wasn't quite sure how it was going to end up, or if it was even going to work in the first place. She turned around once she was a good distance from her best friend and looked up at Henry. "Let's do this," she said hesitantly as she lifted her wand up.
"Fumos," she called out as she quickly did the hopefully correct wand movement. Almost immediately the air began to fill with smoke. In only seconds, she was unable to see in front of her and was not sure where Henry was at in the room. Hopefully he hadn't moved far from his original spot, because Logan could just faintly see the original spot.
"Now would be a good time to try that wind jinx," Logan called out as she sat down on the floor where the smoke was clearer. It was slightly easier to see down here, but she could still only see a little farther than she was able to originally. Wheezing, she looked up at the ceiling of the room, at least what she could see of it.

"You can do this Logan, I believe you," Henry spoke with a smile toward Logan as he watched her move back and he did to until he was at a good distance from his best friend for their spells to be casted before he waited with a smile on his face while facing his best friend and hoping that she succeeded.
When he heard her shout the incantation, Henry put his left hand up in the air as a attempt to block the black smoke from his eyed wasn't enough since the blackness surrounded him and he couldn't see even two feet in front of his face not including his best friend as Henry opened his eyes wider stupid on his part in attempt to look for his best friend some if the smoke swept into his eyes and burn him as Henry quickly closed his eyes and started to rub them as he shouted at in pain, "ahh!"
What he didn't know was the smoke damaged his eyesight and overtime he will need glasses or in certain cases contact lenses for seeing close up at certain points or maybe far away but that won't be for another year or two at least as he heard his best friends voice and still with squinted eyes held up his wand as he casted, " ventus," a guest of wind then blew from his wand blowing away from the room and the two kids revealing his best friend but he still couldn't see them as Henry rubbed his eyes that were squinting still since they were still burning from the smoke.

"Are you okay Henry?" Logan called out when she heard him call out in pain. She was afraid she had somehow majorly hurt him. She continued to sit close to the floor and coughed as more smoke entered her lungs. At the sound of Henry calling out the incantation for the wind jinx, she looked up as she continued to cough and wheeze.
"Henry," Logan called out as she stumbled forwards, tripping over a book as she made her way over to her best friend. She didn't call Henry by his actual name often, but she was scared and wasn't really thinking about what she was saying at this point. It took her a minute to get over to Henry as she stood back up and coughed again, attempting to get the smoke out of her lungs.
"No more smoke," she wheezed out as she finally made it to Henry and wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug. She could smell the smoke around them and looked up at Henry with a heavy breath. "Are you okay?" she wheezed out as she turned her head away from the boy and coughed. She felt fine, but she wasn't sure about Henry.

Eyes still burning as he regretted opening them wider with the smoke there and yet the only thing he could do was rub them which was what he was doing even when he heard the voice of his best friend call his name yet he didn't answer since the pain was to much to bare at the moment.
As he felt Logan's arms wrap around him and hear her voice, rubbing his eyes once more before removing his hands and looking up still squinting for a bit. As his eyes adjusted to the light and burning was finally leaving, his eyes opened back to their normal blue but the effects weren't as short term as he thought.
Wrapping his arms around Logan as well, Henry would say " I'm fine, completely fine really. Are you okay Logan?" After releasing her of the somewhat hug, Henry heard her coughing and at once was concerned not even giving his eyes an second thought which would be something he would soon come regret especially in his fourth year and beyond really.
As Henry listened and watched his best friend clearly concerned about her and her coughing since he was the one whom suggested practicing the spell so he would be the one responsible if she was injured or got sick from the smoke. A clear worried expression filled his face while his eyes grew a little red as the time passed.

When she was finally able to stop coughing, Logan looked up at Henry. "I'm fine Henry, I promise." Her voice was a bit scratchy from the coughing and her chest felt a bit tight, but other than that she felt perfectly fine. While looking up at Henry, she realized that his eyes were a bit red. "Are you sure you are okay Henry?" she asked with concern in her voice as she pulled away from her best friend, "Your eyes are a bit red."
She knew that smoke could irritate your eyes, but she was concerned with the amount of red that was in her best friends eyes. She hoped hers weren't like that, but they felt perfectly fine to her. She knew that if anything happened to either of them because of the smoke, it was going to be her fault, as she was the one that cast the spell in the first place. If she hadn't cast the spell, this wouldn't have happened in the first place. Coughing again to clear her lungs, Logan looked up at Henry again.
"We should probably pack up and get away away from the smoke. I think both of us could use a drink and some fresh air." Logan's voice was still rather scratchy, but it was getting a bit better.

Still rather concern about her coughing although Henry nodded with a small smile before placing his hand on her shoulder in sort of a comforting way for hopefully her and also him in a way. However when she mentioned his eyes, he started to rub them again and figured if anyone would say anything then that would absolutely be his best friend so forgetting about them won't be a option.
Henry rubbed his eyes for a few more minutes still refusing to go to the hospital wing which probably won't do any good for him anyway. Luckily through the redness starting to fade away and his normal pigment took over but the effects weren't as short term as he thought or would like and will be seeing them again a few months before that summer holiday or even during the summer depending how well he cared for his eyes till then.
"I'm fine, really Logan. I'm completely fine, you didn't hurt me but your spell was casted brilliantly," Henry spoke with a smile trying to ease Logan's mind and keep her from worrying about him as he spoke " the red is going away through right?"
Placing his wand back in his jacket pocket before picking up his book and holding it under his arm, Henry then nodded toward Logan with a smile "good idea, the great lake or even the great hall sounds perfect about now."

Logan was concerned about Henry's eyes, but she wasn't going to say anything about it as she knew he wouldn't only brush it off as not important anyway. "You don't have to lie to me Henry," the Hufflepuff told the boy as he told her that he spell casting was brilliant, "My spell casting is mediocre at best." She knew she would need to practice, because if her spells ended up like this during the duels it was going to be impossible for her and Lucia to be able to do anything.
At the mention of his eyes still being red, Logan glanced up. "They are still a bit red, although it does look like the redness has gone a bit. You should be okay soon, but we need to get out of here before what is left of the smoke manages to irritate your eyes even more." The young girl didn't want her best friend's eyes to get worse because they had stayed in the room longer than they should have.
Making sure she had her wand, Logan nodded at Henry. "To the Great Lake," she called out happily as she started to make her way towards the door of the dueling room. She wanted to bring the mood up a bit, so she decided that being happy could bring the mood up.
