From friends to enemies

Daria quickly set the book down on the table, getting up and heading for the window. She opened the window and got the envelope from the bird, saying :It was a wonderful December day. Outside, freshly laid snow shone in the sunlight, which was beginning to rise from the clouds. Daria was now in the library. It was the place she preferred to stay on a Saturday like this. Far from all her friends, the only one in a library.
Except for a new friend of hers,Katie.Which.. she didn't know very well but a small company that would bring your mind back to reality while you get lost among the pages of a book..wasn't a big problem.
After some minutes of silence while the two of them were reading something, they both look at the window, where they can hear a rather annoying noise. It was and owl. But not just and owl.. It was Daria's. And he had something in his beak. An envelope..
"It's a letter.. From my... Mom!
A big smile was now on Daria's face. While closing the window and going back to the table she started to open it. As she took a fast look at the letter she realized it was something about the Christmas party her parents held every sear. She was never allowed to those kind of partys, she didn't know why, but she wasn't.
The letter:
"Dear Daria,
Me and your dad decided that for this year, you can be invited at the Christmas party we have every year. We think that you are old enough now to stay around wizards and whiches and it will be a pleasure if you will want to come out from your room a bit and socialize..
-With love, your Mom (I miss you)
Daria read the letter aloud so that her friend could hear.
"Oh my wizard God.. I can't believe this is happening.. I've been waiting for this to happen for a while now.. Oh, I'm all shaking right now. I have to owl her back and say that I will be honored to go, right? Aren't parents just wonderful? Like they are so lovely and kind, I just love them.. Daria said exited, smiling and holding the letter to her chest while looking across the table to see what Katie thinks..
