Paige started talking to Harmony, but she mostly blocked out what she had to say until she heard her say the word 'werewolves'. When Paige had finished talking, Harmony said, "I know what you're trying to do, Paige. And it's not working. But WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU GO NEAR THE WHOMPING WILLOW?!?! AND WHY DIDN'T YOU RUN AWAY WHEN YOU SAW THAT WEREWOLF? I agree that werewolves are interesting, but YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HURT!!! And what is secret Santa? And before you go google eyes remember, I HAD NO FRIENDS BEFORE YOU! NO ONE TO DO ANYTHING WITH!" Harmony huffed and turned over in her bed so that her back was facing Paige. She felt bad for responding like that, but she had slipped too far into her anger. She had trouble controlling what she said and did when got mad, but she could do some pretty bad things if she got mad enough. Harmony could only hope that it wouldn't get to that, because she didn't know what she would do with herself if she got there and said something that she would regret. Like not wanting to be friends anymore. Harmony squeezed her eyes shut and let out a frustrated sigh.

Harmony heard Paige throw something at the wall. Harmony cringed. She heard the door to the dorm room open and the close. Harmony wondered if she should just tell her parents that there was actually a chance that she would come home for Christmas. That's what she did. She wrote a note to her parents telling them just that and then went up to the owlery. She sent the letter and then went back to her bed. After a few hours, Paige had still not returned and Harmony was getting worried. She pulled her coat, scarf, and mittens on and went to look for her. It was around midnight when she left to find Paige. Paige had never been gone this long. Harmony had absolutely no clue as to how she found Paige, but she did. Paige was up a tree, sleeping. Harmony began to climb back down, slowly and carefully. Even though Harmony didn't make any noise, Paige woke up and fell off the branch. Harmony considered letting her fall. Maybe that would ease her anger. But no! Paige and Harmony way be in a fight, but Harmony wasn't about to let Paige get hurt. As Paige fell past Harmony's branch, Harmony reached out and grabbed onto Paige's forearm. "You're lucky I have fast reflexes." Harmony growled. Harmony's eyes still flashed in anger, but she didn't let go of Paige's arm until she was safe. Harmony began to climb down again, ignoring Paige.

The next morning, Harmony woke up to a tapping sound on the dorm room window. She got out of bed and saw the owl that she had sent to her parents last night at the window with a piece of paper tied around its leg. She smiled as she realized that her parents used paper and not parchment. Harmony opened the window and the owl flew onto a desk near the window. Harmony untied the letter and told the owl softly, "Hey. Can you stay a bit. I need to respond to this. Are you up for that?" The owl blinked and stayed put. Harmony stroked its head as she unfolded the paper. It said:
Harmony,
I'm sorry to hear that you may not be going to your friend's house. I will be very happy to spend Christmas with you. Along with your father and Arthur. I hope that whatever problems are happening between you two will be resolved soon. Remember, honesty is always the best policy.
With love, your mother
Harmony turned back to the owl and said in the soft voice, "Nevermind. You can go. Thank you." She looked back down at the letter and read the last line again. Honesty is the best policy. Harmony stared at the letter and bracelet on her bed. She couldn't believe it. Harmony put both the bracelet and the letter into her luggage. She wondered whether she should even send Paige her Christmas present. She chose to do it. She went to the owlery and tied an envelope to an owl's leg. Inside it there was a bracelet with half of a silver heart on a blue chain and a note that said:
To Paige,
I know that you are mad at me. I am too. But I spent all year making this friendship bracelet for you and I didn't have the heart to throw it away, but maybe you will. I'm not asking you to wear this or to be friends again, but I just didn't have the heart to throw it out. Sending you best wishes and a Merry Christmas.

Paige had been greeted by her brother and mother. "Mom!" She laughed. Jack hugged Paige so tight. Hand in hand, they made their way to a cab. On the way home, Paige told her family almost everything. When they got home, Paige s cheeks hurt from smiling too much. When they got home, 2 dogs greeted them. They rolled over so she could pet their stomach. She laughed. When she went upstairs to her room, she found it decorated. There was holly around her window, a small Christmas tree in the corner and pine cones hanging above her bed. It smelled like Christmas.
She unpacked, and took a shower. She tied her hair into a braid and wore an outfit that she hadn't brought to Hogwarts. She wore a green half sleeved shirt, red plaid skirt, and red pants. She came downstairs to her mom. "Cookies?" Paige smiled. She reached for the apron. Her house was more of a big cottage painted white. When Harmony got off the train, she was meet by her whole family. Her parents let her younger brother, Arthur, hug Harmony first. It took at least five minutes for him to let go. Her parents came next. The hugged her and welcomed her home. As Harmony let go of her parents, her eyes strayed to a certain family. Harmony felt her heart clench as Paige walked out of the station without even a glance. Thankfully, this went unnoticed by all except her mom. This ended with Harmony getting an extra hug from her mom.
When the family got home, Harmony went upstairs to unpack. She eventually came across the note and bracelet at the bottom of the trunk and put them in her mini safe. It was a box with a code on it that held things that she either didn't want to lose, or things that she had, like the bracelet and note, that she didn't want to throw out, but didn't want to look at. For some odd reason, Harmony kept her bracelet on her wrist.
The door flew open to reveal Arthur. Harmony freaked because he was covered in tinsel and bits and pieces of colored paper. "Do you want to help decorate the tree?" He asked. Harmony laughed and held up her phone to ask if she could take a picture of him. "Only if you help with the tree!" Harmony sighed and giggled before taking a picture. She hurried downstairs with Arthur at her heels and started to help him decorate the tree. Her family had apparently left it to decorate until Harmony got back. She appreciated it, but there was only one thing that she wanted for Christmas. Her friend back.

Paige took off her apron. Jack came over and made her watch t.v with him. She smiled. In her living room, her brother had put on Frosty the Snowman. All was well.

The cookies had been taken out of the oven and cooled. She called her brother and mom to come to frost them. Jack had a lot of sprinkles. Paige reached for the sprinkles. "Hey! we need some cookie with those sprinkles, silly!" Jack laughed. Paige shook her head as she put the frosted cookies on a rack. Just then, her sister came home. Paige looked up. "Hey, Amelia!" Amelia looked up from her phone. "Oh, hey. Your home. Welcome back." Paige smiled. "Just for winter." Amelia shrugged and walked to her room.Dear Ruth Family
It has come to my attention that our daughters are no longer speaking. Paige won't say why. Anyway the girls had planned for Harmony to come over for the holidays. These girls need each other. My idea is that we plan behind their backs for you guys to still come over. This time, it will be your whole family and not just Harmony. Tell me what you think.

I have noticed that as well. Harmony tells me that the reason for them not speaking to each other is because Paige lied to Harmony. I do not know if that is true, but Harmony has not lied to me for quite some time. I think that idea sounds splendid. Harmony does indeed need Your daughter. She has not been herself lately. When would be the best time for us to come over?

"Mom! Arthur's tangled up in the tinsel again! We should make this a Christmas tradition!" Harmony called to her mom.
"It already is a Christmas tradition, Harmy! It happens every year!" Arthur responded.
"I'm starting to think that you like it." Harmony teased.
"And what if I do? Now can you get me out? It's scratchy!" Arthur complained. Harmony sighed and giggled before she started to get her brother loose.
After at least 5 minutes of fighting with the tinsel, Arthur was free and the tree looked complete, minus the tinsel that was on the ground. "Can you use magic to fix the tinsel? Why did you have to cut it?" Arthur asked eagerly. "Arty, I can't use magic outside of school. And cutting you out was the only way."
Arthur then dragged Harmony over to the tv and turned the channel to Home Alone.

Paige didn't know why, but she continued her gift for Harmony. Maybe it was because it gave her something to do. Her mom had seemed happy lately, in an evil way. Paige did NOT like it. It made her suspicious. Of course, when she walked outside in the hall, she saw 2 things. One, Amelia with Paige's tray of cookies half gone, and two, her mom cleaning the house. Paige yelled at Amelia. "Those were our Christmas cookies!" Then she ran down the stairs and tried to yank the tray back. Amelia yelled out. "Hey!" Paige yanked as the two girls yanked back and forth. "Let go!" "No!" "Hey-" CRASH!! All the cookies flew to the ground. Amelia pushed away to her room. "Great job, dummy." Paige ignored her as she stared at one cookie in particular. A snowman, crumbled on the ground. The snowman looked so much like the one she and Harmony made. Now it was ruined, like their friendship.Dear Mrs. Ruth
I saw Paige making a present for Harmony. She clearly misses her. I was thinking 3 days before Christmas Eve you can come and stay. We have plenty of room! Or, which might be better, in a couple of days. That way the girls have time to make up so it won't be awkward on Christmas!

Paige's mom came in dancing to Christmas music, vacuuming. "Hey, honey! Oh no! Your cookies?" Paige was just cleaning them up. "Amelia." Paige's mom turned off the vacuum. "AMELIA!" Amelia came down. "What?" Paige's mom frowned. "Say you're sorry, then help your sister. I will not have this! Not during this time of year. 'Tis the season to be jolly!" With that, she continued vacuuming listening to Christmas music.
That night: Paige's mom waits at the door for guests. The kids were asleep. Mrs. Ruth's daughter had no idea who's house this was.

Harmony's mother had told her that the family was going on a trip to a friend's house, but when Harmony asked which friend, her mother didn't answer her. Never a good sign.
Harmony had been in her room for the past 30 minutes, but only 10 of those minutes included packing. 10 of those minutes had included trying to get Arthur out of her room, and the other 10 had included Harmony laying on her bed, thinking about the biggest mistake of her life. She had so far packed her trunk with the things that she would need for school, but she was also using another smaller suitcase with her muggle clothes. Lastly, Harmony pulled out of her closet a backpack. It was several different shades of blue and a few shades of purple. There were white specks scattered over it that were meant to be stars. Harmony had made this backpack when she was younger. She had meant it to be the galaxy and it looked pretty close to what she had imagined it to look like. She put her phone, phone charger, ear pods, some things to write and draw, a few books, and Paige's bracelet and note. Looking down at her wrist, Harmony saw that she was still wearing her bracelet. She pondered over the thought of taking it off, but she didn't.
Once Harmony brought her backpack and luggage downstairs with the help of her dad, and Arthur had brought his things down, her parents had loaded the car. Her parents had packed earlier. Harmony's job was to keep an eye on Arthur, which wasn't hard. The bond between the two was so strong that they acted less like normal siblings that always fight and more like life long best friends. Arthur would do almost anything that his sister asked him to do.
When they finally loaded into the car, Arthur was already watching a video on his tablet. Harmony would never understand how he didn't get carsick. After what felt like an hour, Arthur asked Harmony, "Why do you still wear that bracelet? I thought you weren't friends with Paige anymore." Harmony had told Arthur everything that had happened to her at Hogwarts, including her falling out with her best friend. "Um...I don't know. Just a habit I guess." Harmony replied as Arthur went back to his video. In truth, Harmony HATED lying to her brother, but is she told him that the reason that she still wore the bracelet was because she wanted nothing more than to be friends with Paige again, it would be a long time until Harmony would hear the last of it.
