Different houses, same adventure

Harmony made her way to the library. It was a nice day outside, but she felt more like the library today. It was a Thursday morning and while it wasn't snowing or anything outside, it was still chilly. Harmony entered the library and started to look for an interesting book. While looking for one, Harmony saw a girl that looked about the same age that she was, reading a book at a table alone. Harmony fought with herself on whether to go over and say 'hi', or to continue on with her book search. Harmony looked down at a bracelet on her left wrist. It was blue, silver, and white. Her best friend, Paige had given it to her. Harmony looked back up at the girl and gathered her confidence. She had made a friend in the first day of arriving at Hogwarts. What was stopping her now? Harmony had gotten much more confident since arriving at Hogwarts and meeting Paige and her other friend, Eliza, but she wasn't exactly one of those people that could simply go up to anyone and start up a conversation. Get a grip. Thought Harmony, Just go over and say 'hi' and maybe the conversation will continue by itself.
Harmony walked over to the girl. As she neared the girl, Harmony saw that the girl had very dark hair, almost black and according to her tie, she was a Slytherin. This made Harmony lose a bit of courage. She hadn't heard the best things about Slytherins. Harmony! What the heck! Not all Slytherins are bad! Everyone has a bad side to them! Harmony thought as she shuddered a bit. She had reminded herself about her dark side. She hoped for everyone's sake that no one ever saw her bad side.
Shaking her head to try and not think about that anymore, Harmony sat down across from the Slytherin girl. Taking a deep breath, Harmony said, "Hi. I'm Harmony Ruth. What's your name?"

"Oh hi! I didn't saw you there! Daria turned around, to see a ginger setting next to her. As she examined the girl better, she realized that she was from the Ravenclaw house . Her eyes were green, way darker than hers and her face was full of freckles. She seemed a little agitated.. So Daria choose to be nice with her. Maybe a friend from a different house isn't going to be a big deal, is it? Ravenclaws.. Weren't that bad.. She actually talked with some of them and it was a pleasure hearing what they have to say. Sometimes annoying because they think they know everything, but it was OK.
"Umm yeah, my Name is Medeline Daria! Nice to meet you Harmony! How is it going?
The girl looked calmer now. that is good I guess.. Daria though waiting an answer from the girl.

Harmony didn't know why, but talking to Slytherins made her a bit nervous. But Medeline didn't seem like a Slytherin-Slytherin. "Look, you don't have to be scared or something, I'm not as bad as everyone thinks I am." Oh shoot. Did it really show on Harmony's face? "Sorry. I'm not scared. I've just heard some things about your house. I know that I shouldn't assume that everyone is like the rumors, but I just haven't met a Slytherin before, so I don't exactly know what to expect. The girl started now to panic a little. Her face literally showed how scared she was. But why? It's not like Daria was eating her or something. I know slytherins can be bad sometimes, I can be bad too but not all the time..

"So, what's your favorite subject?"
"Well, I don't think I have a favorite one. I'm reading lots of random stuff from here but I love this book! It's about one wizard and he has lots of adventures, so I think I'm gonna say adventure books.. It even has photos that move! Daria showed her book to Harmony. "See? It's so cool! What is yours?

I don't know if you're asking what my favorite book is, but if you are, I think that my favorite book series is called The Land of Stories. It's basically about the fairy tale characters and they are real people. The two main characters, Alex and Connor, find themselves in the fairy tale world and they have all kind of adventures there." Harmony paused for a second before asking, "What was your life like before you came to Hogwarts?" Harmony hoped that Daria wouldn't ask what her life was like before. It had always been a sensitive subject for her. But since Harmony had asked her, Daria would probably ask Harmony what hers was like. When Harmony finished to talk, Daria added :
"I'm so sorry, I'm kinda tired and I didn't realized that we were talking about school here. I'm so stupid! she slapped her forehead ashamed of what she had just said..
" If I'm thinking about it, I think Charms is my favorite. And Defense against the dark arts or herbology. I can't choose between these three. At Charms I'm pretty good, with the Wand movement and everything. At Defense against the dark arts is a little harder but I love it, it's so interesting and then there's Herbology. All the plants are wonderful. Nature is wonderful in one word. I love to study at herbology outside, trying to learn from what I'm seeing not only from my notebook. Yeah, I know.. I may have a bookish vibe sometimes but you know.. Nature is just relaxing.. She stopped for a second now, looking at the desk leaning on the back of the chair and taking a deep breath.. As she continued..
"I love Quiddich too. I've seen some matches and I already read a book about the rules.. I will love to join the team sometimes if it possible.. Hope so Daria laughed, looking towards her.. New friend?

Daria's eye widened as she said in realization, "I'm so sorry, I'm kinda tired and I didn't realized that we were talking about school here. I'm so stupid!" Harmony had very few things that got under her skin, but one of those things was when people put themselves down. "You're not stupid! It was just a mistake! I make mistakes all the time too." Harmony couldn't tell if Daria had heard her because she continued, "If I'm thinking about it, I think Charms is my favorite. And Defense against the dark arts or herbology. I'm also Muggleborn so I don't know a lot about the wizarding world. And, yes, I know that I'm in Ravenclaw and that I should know everything, but I don't. I mean, I've read about Quidditch, but I've never played it. Have you? Also, why are you looking at me like that?" Harmony hoped the last sentence didn't come out judgy, so Harmony added, "Also, sorry if when I asked why you were looking at me if that came out rude. Just wondering." God. I've gone from no return shyness, to a chatter box!

" Well, the Quiddich game is awesome. Me and my dad went once at a real one. All the emotions are spectacular! I could feel the tension when the seeker was trying to get the golgen snitch! He didn't tho.. I've kind of wished he would because that was my dad's favorite team from all! I can't remember how they were called but, I don't think that's really important! And no, I've never played Quidditch,or even ride a broom yet haha, I tried once, but it didn't ended well..

Daria was so curious to hear about what Harmony had so say.. It was hard for her here with all the new informations , and she is a pureblood.. She didn't even want to imagine how hard it has to be for this girl..Especially at potions. Ugh, potions.. She hated it. It's so hard and they always get a lot of homeworks from the professor. And it's not an easy homework, it's really hard.. Poor girl

"It isn't exactly hard to get what I need. The hard part was getting into Diagon Alley. Muggles aren't supposed to be able to see it. But I could see it since I'm a witch. It took a long while to get my parents to let me come because from a muggle's perspective, the way that Muggleborns get into Diagon Alley looks like a broken down shack that could collapse at any moment, and they didn't think that it looked safe. When I got my letter, I was excited, of course, but I didn't exactly jump for joy. Well, ok that's a lie. I was literally jumping for joy. I didn't have any friends at my muggle school. Like at all! So I was very excited to get away from that, but I didn't want to get away from my parents or brother. My parents didn't want me to go, but they knew how much I was struggling. Socially, not academically. They let me go but I had to physically peel my younger brother off me. I miss them." Harmony took a moment to compose herself before adding, "What about you? Daria listened carefully to everything Harmony had to say. Until now, she had no friends born into a family of muggles other than her friend Eve, but she couldn't come to Hogwarts. Thinking of that.. She kind of missed her best friend from home.. And her family..
Harmony continued :
"What about you? How did you respond to your letter?"
hmm, how was it? Daria was thinking now about that moment..
"Well, I'm a pureblood so I think I kind of knew that I will get my letter one day. Of course,when that day came I was happy. But I didn't even think at the possible thing that could of happened.. Daria paused for a moment, catching her breath..
" Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I had never received a letter, you know what I mean? Like, being a pureblood and not getting a letter to Hogwarts? That will be embarrassing, wouldn't it?
Daria was now lost in her thoughts.. She kind of had a weird childhood.. She only found out about the wizarding world at the age of 9. Her parents kept that a secret from her, whitout any reason..
Daria looked at a big clock standing close to the exit door.
"Oh my God,look what time it is!Don't we have classes?"
Daria listened carefully to everything Harmony had to say. Until now, she had no friends born into a family of muggles other than her friend Eve, but she couldn't come to Hogwarts. Thinking of that.. She kind of missed her best friend from home.. And her family..
Harmony continued :
"What about you? How did you respond to your letter?"
hmm, how was it? Daria was thinking now about that moment..
"Well, I'm a pureblood so I think I kind of knew that I will get my letter one day. Of course,when that day came I was happy. But I didn't even think at the possible thing that could of happened.. Daria paused for a moment, catching her breath..
" Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I had never received a letter, you know what I mean? Like, being a pureblood and not getting a letter to Hogwarts? That will be embarrassing, wouldn't it?
Daria was now lost in her thoughts.. She kind of had a weird childhood.. She only found out about the wizarding world at the age of 9. Her parents kept that a secret from her, whitout any reason..
