Winter Scavenger Hunt! SHC Open for Members

It was winter. May's favourite season and weather, for who didn't love the snow, building snowmans, throwing snowballs at each other...it was perfectly fun. Well, today was the first winter hunt of the SCH, @Katrina Walker 's clun for solving small mysteries. May loved it. She loved searching mysteries in general, gathering up clues, etc. She had entered the club before the summer holidays, and the first hunt had been extremely fun.

She woke up at 9 am, got dressed, went to the great hall to eat some breakfast and runned up to the classroom where the next winter hunt would begin. She entered and saw Katrina (and possibly the other students) in there. She waved at her friend briefly and sat on one of the school tables, listening intently. Each hunt was different. Each hunt had a different kind of rule, subject. That was why loved them so much.

"I have separated you all into two groups, one group will be with Bridget, the other will be with me. There are two rooms behind me that have been redecorated with all sorts of Christmas cheer, there are the same amount of clues in both rooms and the same level of difficulty, that means, this has now become a race! The first team to figure out the last clue will win another prize, let the holiday festivities begin!

"Now, spells won't be permitted for this hunt and we have our amazing Librarian, Miss Finley, here to ensure that everything stays under control. At any time if you must leave, you may, but you won't be allowed back in the hunt, sorry. But I wouldn't recommend leaving, because we have some pretty good prizes in store,"

"Now, you may come in and as you pass I will sort you into the rooms,"

May nodded slowly at Kat's words, listening intently. She got up her seat and waited for her to be sorted.

The Scavenger Hunt Club was one of the activities Sapphire found the most joy in. It was full of mystery, most of the time, especially at the beginning of the hunts. So far, she had participated in... was it 3 hunts before this one? There had been the first one, the summer one, and the November one, which she had been in only recently. It had always been enjoyable.

She had a habit of being punctual- well, more like ahead of schedule, but that was against the point. She showed up quite a few minutes before the designated time, waving at Kat briefly before leaning against the wall. Her vision was blurry, getting worse little by little due to the constant straining of her eyes, but she could ignore it. As long as it wasn't something she had to view from far away, she should be fine.

Her vision would likely be the most aggravating thing in the hunt since it was highly important when it came to scavenger hunts and she was suffering without it. Oh well. She would fix it whenever she got to go home. "Ugh, trashy eyesight is so frustrating," she muttered to herself. "I can barely see a single thing." She claimed not to be worried about how her eyesight would impede her progress, but she was. She was very ambitious, although often-times her anxiety shone through more than that ever did. That was why she was in Slytherin, after all.

Looking up, she vaguely recognized a girl from the first hunt - May, wasn't it? "Hello," she said in a quiet greeting. Anyone else whom she knew or recognized, she would greet in the same way but if it was a stranger, chances were she wouldn't have the nerve to greet them. Maybe just a small wave, but no big sign of greeting.

She listened to Kat's explanation, nodding along in understanding. She suspected that this wouldn't be terribly simple, but she was still excited. Let the games begin.

Henry didn't know why he was going, the boy was feeling odd or out of place since the start of December. With everyone feeling happy or with cheerful spirits all around him about the coming holidays and going home Henry should have felt happy to or even cheerful but yet he felt rather sad and anxious most days at month which struck Henry was odd but not weird since he almost always was anxious or worried because of his ever looming anxiety but sad? Well now that confused him.

Henry participated in all sorts of events and actives that month in hoped of boosting his mood but nothing works as he still felt rather sad and out of place. Like he didn't belong anywhere and like rather never belong, Henry hated those feelings but couldn't tell anyone since he keep them concealed and the himself on most day's. Actually most of the time he kept his emotions hidden from any and everyone within the walls at Hogwarts which only worsen his anxiety and caused him panic making it more likely for him to have a panic attack something he already endured that month and the last few ones to.

So why was Henry walking along the corridor on a day that he would have been isolating himself with his thoughts and a book in either the library or by the great lake. He was planning to attend the winter scavenger hunt and in hoped lighten up his mood and bring up his spirits so he didn't feel so anxious or sad basically.

Henry joined during his second year and was glad he did since they were pretty fun and more than enough successfully lifted his spirits. He remembered his first hunt where he teamed up with his close friend; Heather and friend; Robert both ravenclaw but the three end up having a blast which definitely lifted his spirits when he left the classroom that day. So that's why he was there in hoped of that hunt during the same thing for him that his first hunt did so Henry held his breath in hope that it would as he stepped inside the classroom.
