Cade stared at Romie blankly when she trailed off whatever she was about to say. Just as he was about to prompt her to continue, Katie picked something from the ground and immediately vanished! Cade's heart climbed into his throat. What on earth just happened?

"Katie?" He called out unsure. He heard a muffled reply from the other side of the alcove. He hurried to the wall pounding it with a hand as if that would suddenly release the poor first year. "What happened?" he yelled through the wall. Cade turned to face Romie after pausing to listen. She looked just as puzzled and frightened.

He looked at the silver ball that Katie touched. Whatever it was definitely transported her in there. He had to weigh out the options. What was this object? It seemed to be a normal ball, Cade assumed a student had bewitched it as a prank. But obviously, it wasn't meant for them. Cade could run to fetch a teacher but what if he were too late? He had no idea how to help Katie. He didn't know any spells to magic a door into existence and help her out of the wall. Who knew something like this would happen to them? They were just innocently walking down the corridor.

"What should we do?"

Oh my God! Romah said. She stepped towards the ball but then immediately stepped back. She didn't know about the power and what even was in the first place. She turned to Kate and tried to read his face but she couldn't. She stepped even closer and Pare down on it. It appeared to just be a silver Ball but you noticed that it had a bit of a glow like a aura. she squatted down next to it and question with her foot I rolled around but all the sides look the same she got back up and stood next to Cade. She hope she didn't seem nervous. She took deep breaths and try to calm ourselves down but her mind capped asking her questions like what happened where is she what did this did someone mean to do this to her. Roma put her head in her hands and cross your fingers that this was just a bad dream But another voice in her head kept saying this is so realistic isn't it it must be real and must be. He slapped her hands over her ears and she tried to block out the noise. She hope she didn't seem weird to Cade what do you think will happen she asked him even better what do you think happened

Cade didn't know any counterspell, because he wasn't all sure about what bewitchment the silver ball held. Regardless, he pulled out his newly purchased wand from within his robes. He did not yet have much use out of it, and no bond to speak of. If it hadn't chosen Cade, he wouldn't see it as anything special. He didn't know much about wandlore, but Mr. Ollivander had said that the wand was powerful because of its dragon heartstring core. He furrowed his eyebrows, it couldn't hurt to try. If it didn't work, he could just ask Romie to try or run to a prefect.

Clenching his jaw, Cade turned once more to the alcove and touched the tip of his walnut wood wand to the stone. "Stand back Katie!" He concentrated and whispered, "Open up." Nothing happened. Cade waited a few seconds. He cleared his throat. "Open up." He said a little louder, waving his wand sharply towards the wall. Still, the wall was intact and unyielding. Cade waved it one more time a little forcefully. The wand angrily spat out brilliant purple sparks shocking him in the process. He dropped it and it clattered to the floor. "Ow!" Cade shook out his wrist. His ears turned pink with frustration as he went to pick it up.

"I can't," he mumbled to Romie, hiding his face so she couldn't see his lips trembling.

Katie shuddered a bit. She felt like the walls were closing in around her. She'd never thought of herself as a claustrophobic person, but she felt quote claustrophobic at this moment. Ca-ca-cade... she stuttered out nervously at she started breathing quicker. What's going on? Can you get me out of here? she started to hyperventilate as minutes passed by to no response. She couldn't see Cade, or here any of what he was saying. Everything was pitch black and it smelled like hippogriff dung. She shivered and tried to lean back against the wall as her feet were sore from standing, but the wall was ice cold and she immediately stood back up, stick straight.

She the time she had been seven years old and had been exploring the manor. The house elves had gotten sick of her wandering around and distracting them from their work, so they sprung traps around star they didn't want her to go. She had gotten caught in one off them, and a bucket of fish guys had been dumped on her head. Katie's father had instantaneously cited the house elf - Melsy - when he'd come b.s.and found her shivering in ice cold fish boots telling him what happened, back a few tears. Katie could only wonder whose area she had stumbled upon now.
