The Fall Ball (The Hunt)
MODERATION POST
FIRST LOCATION
There were only a few people still active near the first painting Star had let them to, but that didn’t mean there was no fun to be had, uh, action to be observed.
Ms @Ami Procoppio, genius that she was, had concluded from her wand poking that the threat was likely not physical. Her next move would have been taking the painting off the wall - except that someone else had beaten her to it. @Mars T'ien was already holding the painting in their hands, a fact that drove Ami into a rage - would happen to any sane and well-adjusted person, right? She commanded @Charles Woodward to figure out what the weird countdown meant, and proceeded to try and punch poor Mars.Mars, taken aback, made a rather bumbling attempt at dodging while holding the unwieldy painting in their hands, and would feel the world slightly spinning around them after Ami’s fist made contact. What kind of monster had that much strength?Ami Accuracy: 19
Mars Evasion: 7 (-3 debuff for holding the painting)
Damage: Damage: 15*25 = 375
Mars Health: 125/500
A few of the other remaining students at the first location now slowly trailed after the main group, including @Elisabeth Erner and Gregorí Erkens (@Ginevra Tsuchiya). They, as some others, had noticed those odd flickering lights, and decided to investigate more closely. They were oddly hypnotic, pretty in their own way, those dancing lights. They… made them want to follow them.Gregorí Observation Roll: 28Although it was away from their original destination, the pair found itself trailing after the lights, until they found themselves in a corridor completely filled with those mystical apparitions, flickering in blue, grey, and white. Odd. What could those be? Upon closer observation… they looked a little like one-legged creatures. Were they holding something?Elisabeth Will Save (DC 20): 16

SECOND LOCATION
@Anastasia Beckett was still confident to be the smartest person around, despite everything. Although at least a certain Marshalmallow didn’t seem to be completely useless. Still, she should have a look for herself. Her eyes caught something, something odd… But soon her focus was shifted to the flickering lights at the corridors.Observation Roll (DC 20+2 (Lovely Creature)): nat 20 → crit. success
Clue Roll: 1,2 [owl]A strange fascination emanated from them and she began to walk towards them, leaving the group in front of the painting behind. Did she really want to do that? Maybe she should turn around and go back? Will Save (DC 20): nat 1 → crit. failNo. She couldn’t fight it. The girl tried, but there was nothing she could do about it - her feet followed the flickering lights without her doing. And suddenly she was back at the door of the ballroom. How did she get here? Will Save (DC 15): 13@Caelan Stewart wanted to step into a special role as well. Everyone was looking at the rude painting, but what if the cat Star had led them here because of something else? Maybe there was something to be found on the wall around it?You can rejoin the Hunt by heading back to where you came from. This will take your action for the round. And indeed, the house elves hadn’t been here in a while as it seems. There was dust in the joints between the stones and something else...Observation Roll (DC 20+2 (Lovely Creature)): nat 20 → crit. success
@Callista Lovis, @Leonard Oaksworth and @Lindsey Springhall, accompanied by @Wyatt Starkey, left the talking to the others. There were already too many people ranting at the rude man. That wouldn’t get them very far anyway. All of them would notice something they were searching for. And Callista would also notice something else… These flickering lights. They were oddly hypnotic, pretty in their own way. They… made her want to follow them.Callista Observation Roll (DC 15+2 (Lovely Creature)): 19

Alexander Ward (@Lydia Cooper) thought so, too. He was straight-forward and got straight to the point. Had this rude guy attacked Laiks and left him to die? To this question Gaiz would spit out in front of him, ”Of course I did! He doesn’t deserve any better! He stole my girl so I ran him through with my sword! That’s how it’s done!” It was obvious that he was proud of this achievement. While he was ranting at the young boy, he managed to catch a glimpse of something odd in the painting before the man moved and hid it again.Straight forward was the keyword for @Henry Knight, @Kara Capricorn and @Martyna Romero today - actually, they were still fighting about the alpha role after all, but in one thing they were thinking alike: Let’s be nice to that rude guy and maybe he will be more cooperative. A thought @Sapphire Riddle had as well.Observation Roll (DC 20+2 (Lovely Creature)): 28

up proudly. ”Thank you, young lady. It’s a fine blade indeed and I’ve killed the one or other rascal with it… As this Laiks... And that should also answer your rude question, young man (@Andrew Vance)!”
Then his gaze moved to Henry, Martyna and Sapphire and suddenly he looked like he was in terrible pain and anger at the same time - a nice facial expression mixture. ”Giselle… She was my one and only, my everything, my world. Until this… Laiks stole her from me. He tricked her mind, blended her with his fake love and took her from me. Her portrait is in the next corridor to the right… But I can’t go there and see her. She… she betrayed me. SHE BETRAYED ME AS WELL! AND NO - THESE ARE MY SHOES! CAN’T A GENTLEMAN BE INTO DANCING AS WELL?!”
His dark eyes flickering with anger were fixed on @Andrew Vance now. He was pounding and inhaled a few times to calm down.”Okay. I’m getting off-track here. Giselle left me. And that’s why I despise them! Denbora took the girl from me. THIEF! And when I brought justice to the matter and killed that bastard, Taja showed up, Mr. Goody Goody, to save him. Everytime you call his name he will run to help. What a hero. Yippee!”Charisma Roll (DC 15+2 (Lovely Creature)): 25
His voice was dripping with sarcasm and hatred was clearly written on his face which was now turned to Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin (@Lucia Fox).
And sure, I would go there, smarty pants, but unfortunately, I DON’T HAVE A DATE!”
He was yelling so loudly, that he simply missed @Starlee Kennedy's accusation. But maybe that wasn’t the worst in this case anyway.Charisma Roll (DC 15+2 (Lovely Creature)): nat 1 → crit. fail (WE ARE SO SORRY!!!)
@Sapphire Riddle wasn’t paying attention anymore anyway. Her gaze was fixed on the lights… They were oddly hypnotic, pretty in their own way, those dancing lights. They… made her want to follow them.Although it was quite interesting here at the moment, the girl found herself trailing after the lights, until they found themselves in a corridor completely filled with those mystical apparitions, flickering in blue, grey, and white. Odd. What could those be? Upon closer observation… they looked a little like one-legged creatures. Were they holding something? Will Save (DC 20): 13
@Piper Clark gave up on trying to get Gaiz Toa to give them anything useful, and instead turned to interrogate a painting next to him, demanding to know who they were and if there wasn’t anything useful they could tell her.The painting, although seeming a little shocked at being addressed so aggressively, replied a little hesitantly. “My name is, uh, Karl the Third of Mönchhausen,” the elderly man replied. “Well… he’s been complaining about not having a date for that ball for days. Maybe… if you found him one, he’d be more cooperative?”Charisma Roll (DC 15 + 2 (Lovely Creature)): 23
Romeo Marchonné (@Piérre Marchonné) on the other hand sought help from a more familiar painting, one that might remember him from the days in which he’d been a Hogwarts student, and a Gryffindor, nonetheless: The Fat Lady, hanging around the corner. The lady of Gryffindor, however, had apparently been caught by the festive mood in the castle today, and had maybe indulged in a glass of sparkling wine - or two or five. She squinted at him, swaying slightly in place, before her face brightened up. “Oh! You! I remember you. Robb? No… Roald?” She apparently hadn’t realised he’d told her his name just a second ago, and was obviously not in a state to give helpful answers to any questions.Charisma Roll (DC 15 + 2 (Lovely Creature)): 15
@Percival Rainwood, although not a duellist himself, had found himself recruited into the command under Slytherin’s own Duelling Captain, Dmitri Jones. His voice magically amplified by said captain, he called: “Paran Taja!”Sadly, even with a volume that likely made everyone around him flinch, his voice was not enough to reach anyone.Painting Listen Check (DC 18 due to Sonorus): 9
@Opeila Winters concluded the same thing, and titled Dmitri’s spell rubbish, deciding to release her boyfriend from trumpeting around like an elephant. She successfully ended the spell.Opeila casts Finite Incantatem (WDC 9 + 2 (Lovely Creature)).
Wisdom Roll: 15
@Dmitri Jones, on the other hand, seemed not pleased at all by this - or by anything else his followers were doing or attempting to do. Abandoning them to their own devices, he stormed forward, trying to shoulder all those useless creatures out of the way who were between him and the painting of Gaiz Toa. Nothing else seemed to help, he’d just have to intimidate the truth out of him! While the captain was wise and mighty, he also had about the strength of a bowtruckle. He did not manage to shove anyone anywhere, but wouldn’t let that stop him.Strength Roll (DC 12): 6Even between the other students, his Diffindo was well-aimed, leaving a groove in the stone next to the painting. This might have gotten quite a reaction from Gaiz… If not for one very upset Ravenclaw first year.Dmitri casts Diffindo at the wall (WDC 10 + 2 (Lovely Creature))
Wisdom Roll: 17
Auto-Miss: 9
Accuracy (DC 15): 21
@Robert Toukmond had spotted the tear in the Gryffindor’s cloak, and made the connection to the scrap of cloth he’d seen in the first painting. This… this man must have been the one who attacked that poor dying man! He was a murderer! And - as this was Hogwarts - this only allowed one possible punishment. He had to burn. With a precision maybe stemming from adrenaline, Robert’s wand let loose a jet of furious flames.Robert casts Incendio at the painting (WDC 9 + 2 (Lovely Creature)).
Wisdom Roll: 27
Auto-Miss: 2
Accuracy (DC 12): nat 20
FIRE!
What would a Hogwarts event be without some fire? But instead of the usual suspects (looking at you here, Ana), it came from a shy, bookish Ravenclaw, who should maybe not be allowed to be handling fire (who should?).
The corner of the canvas started catching fire, and Gaiz Toa, after a second of shock, started screaming bloody murder at the young Ravenclaw, before fleeing into the next painting on the wall, knocking over a young girl who had stopped practising on her harp to observe what was going on.
Would anyone save his painting?
One person who had more experience than most with fire had sadly just decided that this was the right moment to leave this event. @Ruka Burnett-Tân turned his back right before the fire started, off to other adventures.
WHAT HAPPENED SO FAR…
Reducio
- A ghost appeared in the Ballroom, proclaiming warnings of doom and tragedy, and challenged students to solve the mystery. He pointed to a silvery ghost cat as the guide, who at this point, has been named Star.
- Several students noticed odd things about the ghost:
- Dmitri Jones and Kara Capricorn shared that they noticed a crest on his robes that was later identified as stemming from the St. Mungo’s Hospital.
- Howard White noticed the Hufflepuff crest on his robes, but only shared this with Falentra Black, somewhat separate from the main group.
- Romeo Marchonné remembered odd silver stains on the ghost’s sleeves and told his companions about them… blood, maybe?
- The ghost cat led you to a painting, depicting a man who obviously had been attacked and was fighting for his life - but healing and repairing proved fruitless. Could anyone save him?
- Several students noticed odd things about the painting:
- Anastasia Beckett, Andrew Vance and Dmitri Jones pointed out an inscription below the painting: “Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora”. Who was the man in the painting? Why was no one saving him?
- Dmitri Jones also noticed that the painting composition seemed somehow unbalanced, as did Sapphire Riddle. Maybe something was missing here!
- Andrew Vance pointed out a streak of blood on the floor of the painting. Maybe there had been a struggle? Had someone been dragged away - but by who, or what?
- Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood made anyone listening aware of a scrap of fabric on the floor in the painting, red in colour, and depicting a lion. Odd.
- Both Soren Silverwood and Callista Lovis had the idea to talk to nearby portraits to find out what had happened here. Both were pointed towards a painting that was supposed to be near the Gryffindor Common Room.
- The Gryffindor Common Room? Martyna Romero took the lead and ran off in this direction. It appeared that Star agreed with this, as the cat followed Tina’s departing steps. Star led the party to a painting near the realm of the Brave.
- There were several things that the students found out from this second painting:
- The man depicted in it was called Gaiz Toa.
- It didn’t take much prodding for him to admit his intense dislike for Paran Taja, that damn goody-two-shoes who always came running when someone called his name, and Laiks Denbora, who had apparently stolen his girl. Yes, obviously Denbora deserved to be stabbed for that - a deed Toa seemed to be rather proud of. The painting of the girl, Giselle could be found in the next corridor over.
- A few students noticed a tear in his cloak, which might have matched the scrap of red fabric found in the painting of Paran Taja and Laiks Denbora.
- Piper Clark talked to a different painting who mentioned that Toa had been complaining about not having a date for the ball for days. Maybe he’d be more helpful if they found him one?
- Of course, alternatively, you could just set him on fire, like Robert Toukmond decided to do. The painting was now burning, a corner of canvas already eaten away. Act fast if you want to help him.

THOSE LIGHTS.... Vaguely, Sapphire recognized that she should stay away from them. She'd learned about them recently in class, and... it was slipping her mind. What were they? And why were they making it so d*mn hard to focus? She felt the need to follow them, even though there were red lights going off in the back of her head.
C'mon, what are these again? she questioned herself angrily, still following them like a moth drawn to a flame. Futile, futile, futile. It took stopping momentarily and seeing a more definitive form to the lights that brought her back to her senses, her mind reminding her of what they were. Her mind went into overdrive, trying to scrape up a method to get rid of them. It had something to do with light... Or could she just walk away? Could she attempt to leave? She didn't want to waste her energy, but was this worth using it?
Regardless, she attempted to speed-walk away. Were that not to be sufficient, she would run. Speed could be useful, wouldn't it? That didn't exactly matter given that her main focus was keeping herself from getting blasted by the creatures' supposed fireballs.
The group was probably going to do something stupid, anyway. They needed people with common sense (not that she could really consider herself one of those people).

"Oh okay," said Scarlett with a sage nod. "I keep hearing stuff about Laiks Denbora or Paran Taja or what-his-name. And-" Her voice dropped. "Ha, he would just run to the next portrait. And - maybe, but he seems to know something about the portraits and the people mentioned."
Scarlett glanced at the painting again, frustrated that she couldn't find anything new except from the fact that the man seemed to be called Gaiz Toa. She then spotted a small, heart-shaped necklace slip out of Gaiz's collar. Strange. There was talk of a girl, so could it be that that little necklace was something from the lover? Cassie was next to her doing her shouty thing as Scarlett mused. Her friend had deducted than Gaiz didn't seem English - genius! Cassie spoke a bit in French to the man, hoping he would understand. Scarlett was about to ask the man about the necklace, when someone set - set fire to the painting?
Gaiz shrieked and screamed bloody murder to the little Ravenclaw who had done it as he fled to the next portrait along. Scarlett rushed to follow, nudging Henry along the way and going, "Told you so."
As she arrived at the next painting, Scarlett jumped at her opportunity, as not many people were here yet. She looked Gaiz right in the eye and said, "Right. Pretty please tell me where you got that heart necklace from or I'll burn the portrait."
She turned to the young girl on the harp, who was looking a little confused. "Terribly sorry about all this."────── ☆ ───────Action Threatening Interrogating the man

As soon as the painting near the Gryffindor common room mentioned that Paran Taja always comes when his name is called, Alexa found herself sprinting back down the corridor toward the first painting.Arriving at the first location.
Holding her side and panting as she arrived, she took a short time to catch her breath as her eyes scanned the brawl going on with the first painting. She rolled her eyes, but didn't have time for that now. But hopefully in a moment she could get them to hang the picture back on the wall; that way it's missing occupant would be able to enter it.
She still couldn't believe that there was violence going on between the paintings of Hogwarts! The man upstairs had said he had as good as killed the wounded man in the painting here. All for a girl. Considering Alexa had never been in love, she mentally scoffed at this idea. Killing someone over a date to the ball? Ridiculousness.
But then, this was Hogwarts, and craziness seemed to be a regular thing here!
When she finally got her breath back, she yelled at the top of her lungs, "PARAN TAJA!" Would he come?

”Thank you, young lady. It’s a fine blade indeed and I’ve killed the one or other rascal with it… As this Laiks... And that should also answer your rude question, young man" He turned his head abruptly at a slytherin boy.
Kara was glad that he took the compliment, but as she keep her fingers on the portrait, chaos of course had to arrive, because what was Hogwarts without a little bit of chaos.
A ravenclaw boy seemed to had been very pissed off at Gaiz, as he just straight up burned the painting, and it was of course where Kara's own hand was. It seemed that the element of fire just really hated Kara.
Kara reeled her hand back, which was now a purple black color from being practically scorched, and god damn did it hurt.
"Holy sh!t! What in the world was that for man?!? If you didn't notice, my hand was there!" Kara reeled her glare on the ravenclaw, who she noticed was in a ridiculous banana costume.
She turned her head again as she watched Gaiz jump to the neighboring painting of a girl practicing a harp.
"Ugh, nevermind! Henry, do you have any idea to help out my hand, it really hurts, like a lot." With her good hand (her left), she pointed her wand at the fire, making a shield shape, and said "Finite Incantatem!"
Sighing, she turned back to the ravenclaw banana boy,
"So, do you mind me asking why you scorched the painting, and me in the process?"

PerfectionistThis is what happens to poor Callista when she encounters a riddle with too many pieces. Not to mention magical pieces. A boy she had never seen before [Alexander Ward] mentioned a tear in the cloak of Gaiz Toa, and proceeded to confront the arrogant man. On close inspection of the painting, she spotted the tear amidst the hustle and bustle of the crowd. His answer jolted Callista. He just... confessed to maiming Laiks Denbora. Several other people got similar answers, including the girl Henry was talking to [Kara Capricorn].
The Gryffindor painting mentioned that this Giselle was in the next corridor to the right. Someone should probably go talk to her, Callista thought at the back of her mind. However, what he said next confused her. Callista was one to consider every option, and possibly think too much.
“Giselle left me. And that’s why I despise them! Denbora took the girl from me. THIEF! And when I brought justice to the matter and killed that bastard, Taja showed up, Mr. Goody Goody, to save him. Everytime you call his name he will run to help. What a hero. Yippee!”
Gaiz said that Paran Taja showed up... but there was no one other than Laiks Denbora in the painting. So... where was Taja? And more importantly... could he be talking about a past event? For all she knew, this could be an endless cycle - Gaiz Toa kills Laiks Denbora, Giselle leaves Gaiz Toa, Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora, repeat. But something broke the cycle, since clearly Taja was not there to save Denbora. As some as they heard Toa say that, a girl [Alexa Mackenzie] ran off. Perhaps she had a sudden burst of inspiration.
The girl from before [Sapphire Riddle] seemed to be attracted to the weird lights. Callista turned. Oh wow. Those lights really were quite pretty. But no, she wasn’t going to blindly follow some sketchy, pretty, mesmerizing lights. Unfortunately, other people did not feel the same, as another girl [Anastasia Beckett] followed the lights. “Wait!” she called. Sadly, she didn’t know the girl’s name, nor anyone else who followed the lights.
Either way, her attention was caught by a certain Ravenclaw. Robert had whipped out his wand. In that split second, one thing ran through Callista’s head. What? At Robert’s incantation, her eyes widened. “Robert, wait!” Her hand stretched out, trying to stop him. Several things ran through her head then. Why did he want to set the man on fire? What if he was framed? Oh god, what if Robert hurt someone? But Callista was too late, and Robert seemed caught in a dream-like state of determination. A stream of fire erupted from the Ravenclaw’s wand. The painting man - there was no room for courtesies right now - screamed at Robert, making Callista bristle with defensiveness, and simply fled to another painting. The poor harp girl.
A corner of the Gryffindor’s painting was now flickering with fire. That girl - why is she appearing everywhere? - [Kara Capricorn] seemed to have been burnt. A wave of concern filled her, but quickly vanished with her following words, pointed at Robert. The girl proceeded to ask Henry for help, which put Callista over the edge, so to say. She crossed her arms, annoyed. Finally, a negative interaction. I was wondering how long it would take for Callista to actually be annoyed at someone.
“He didn’t do anything wrong,” she said crossly. “And it’s not his fault if your hand was just in the way. Actus reus, the man hurt someone for the sake of a girl.” She wasn’t quite sure what it meant in law, but anyone who was not familiar with the Latin language (or law) might have thought that actus reus was a curse. Actually, it meant “guilty act” in Latin. Now seemed a good time to pull out her own wand, which she had put away before moving to the Gryffindor area. Callista pulled it out and fingered it, staring squarely at the girl - whom she didn’t even know the name of. She was probably a nice girl, but Callista wasn’t going to let her scold Robert quietly. Even if she wished Robert hadn’t set the canvas on fire.

Coding inspired by Rafael D'SpacitoAna's dark eyes peered intently at the painting. The first thing she noticed was a pair of shoes that looked to be quite lovingly cared for. Dancing shoes from the look of them. After committing them to memory, something else caught her eye. She couldn't quite tell with his overly dramatic flailing about, but it looked like his garment was torn. That flailing was really most obnoxious. If she knew what the inflatables in front of Muggle car lots looked like, she likely would have compared him to one. Sadly, she did not. Furthermore, his cloak was red and gold. Hadn't someone( @Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood ) mentioned lion fabric or something at the first painting? Now she rather wished she had paid slightly more heed to what others had to say.
Her budding epiphany about her own self-absorption was interrupted as those lights once more demanded her attention. Thoughts of shoes and fabrics were pushed back as she was drawn to investigate. Someone(Callista) told her to wait, but she ignored whoever it was in pursuit of the sketchy lights. Hadn't they recently covered something like this, little light things, in Defense Against the Dark Arts? She racked her brain as she continued to walk. At some point, she decided to return to the group and found that she couldn't, that her feet seemed committed to following the lights. She tried in vain to resist before ending up back at the ballroom doors. That was definitely suspicious. She had recalled a bit more about the little lights. If they were what she thought they might be, she definitely didn't want to follow them, as Hinkypunks were, in all recorded tales, colossal jackasses. For a moment, she considered going back to the party and letting the motley crew of morons solve the mystery themselves. Despite how she might rather return to the party, she turned and briskly began down the hall back to the paintings.
As she reached the group again, her eyes widened. What the hell was wrong with students here? Someone(Robert) had set the painting on fire and someone else(Dmi) had attacked the wall above it. First off, she would have rather liked to be the one to set the unpleasant old windbag on fire, but secondly, what was that supposed to solve? Even someone as impulsive as Ana could see that set him on fire wouldn't help much. "Does anyone at this school know any other spells?" she muttered, drawing her wand and preparing to deal with whatever other damage any of the witless first years caused. The first year was most likely the one who had seen fit to commit arson, as older students generally had more creative means of property damage. She shot him a murderous look before snapping at him."He's not even the one who did it, you bloody moron. He's a painting of some bloke who did it ages ago. Do you attack the pictures of wars in your history book as well?"

BroochSecond LocationHenry heard the voice of someone familiar and turned to find Callista asking if he was okay which he wasn't as the boy felt his anxiety increase and panic fill his mind which he hid pretty well as he ran a hand through his hair or tapped his pants with his right hand as he spoke to her " me? I'm fine. Weird night through right?" Henry would then turned back to the painting but something crossed his mind as he looked around the room. Where was Cash, he thought he remembered Nick talking to them both but Cash was no where in sight so he had to question how his slytherin friend was talking to them.
Henry then turned back to the painting but not for long since his attention was taken up again this time by his dueling captain; Dmitri and he seemed to be rather angry at either the situation or maybe the dueling team? Henry didn't want to find out or question him about it just like he didn't want to be cause of the older boy's anger either so he went back to investigating the painting when he heard another, this time a rather high pitch noise.
Martyna; the first year seemed to think she was helping and doing good by yelling at the painting when she probably knew less spells than Henry which not only increased his anxiety but made his blood boil as he snapped at her " you clearly can't hear sarcasm then. And I'm pretty sure Kara said silver not slither," before he thought about jinxing the girl. She should was asking for it and Henry felt his blood boiling and anxiety that he just might but luckily Nick distracted him for a few moments that was.
"I hope you get more information out of that painting than we got from him Nick, but I'll let you know if we get anything from him," Henry replied to his fellow slytherin before turning back at the painting and accidently being near both Scarlett and Kara as he heard Scarlett converse to him after the painting gave them any useful and useless information.
" He definitely seems to he hiding something or not telling us the whole truth, maybe it is worth talking to him after all,"Henry whispered his reply to Scarlett so the painting wouldn't hear him. Henry rolled his eyes with a smile at Scarlett's remark before turning to see who lit the painting on fire as she continued to interrogate the painting.
The one who lit the painting on fire was dressed in a banana costume and whom Henry recognized as,"Robert! Why did you do that for mate?" Henry stared at the ginger hair first year for a few more moments before his attention was taken by Kara who now had a badly burned hand by the likes of it and trying to put out the fire ad well.
Henry was thinking of what spell to use and sadly he didn't know many healing ones except one but he thought it was worth a try as he pointed his wand at Kara's wrist before saying " burn paste could help your hand Kara but for the moment I could try something," he then would cast the bandaging charm on her hand as he spoke " Ferula," and hoped that it worked since it was a year above him and he only really used the spell on himself in the charms classroom for practice.
Henry the heard Kara ask Robert why he did that and Henry turned to him as well to hear his answer when another voice joined in and Henry turned to Calista who was backing up Robert. Henry wished he could to but he didn't see how setting the painting and Kara's hand on fire would help them as he spoke " technically Robert burned Kara's hand and I don't think setting the painting on fire really did help us but that's besides the point, there are other spells he could have you used that wouldn't have burned anyone," Henry then turned to Robert as he spoke " so why did you do it mate?"

The Fall Ball (The Hunt)

Interaction(s): @Ginevra Tsuchiya/Gregorí Erkens
Interaction status: open (owl me first would be better, but it's fine otherwise)
Action(s): trying a friendly approach on the creatures
Other mention(s): -
Where were they? It did not seem to Elisabeth that this was the floor she and Gregorí were heading for earlier.
Furthermore, what kind of creature were these? The corridor both students ended up in was full of creatures flickering in three colours - blue, grey, and white. Were they the ones behind the reason the lights flickered? Or were they the flickering light itself? The tri-coloured creatures looked like each of them had only one leg. Elisabeth tried to recall if she had ever read or heard about them, but not as far as she was able to. Not even in wizard fairy tales.
Even though they did not look very friendly, Elisabeth thought they did not seem terribly sinister either. Were they actually harmless?
The Hufflepuff decided that she ought not let her guards down, but at the same time the eleven-year-old was careful not to scare the creatures or make them think she was a threat. The girl reached into her purse and, finding her wand, held it in a relaxed position so that she would not look like a witch who was looking for a fight. Her free hand was extended to let the creatures getting familiar with her smell the way any knowledgeable person would do before approaching a horse.
Should she try speaking to them? Asking if they understood English o español? *)
No, perhaps not now. She would like to make sure the creatures really did know her smell and were sure that she did not come to pick a fight with them before she tried further communicating with them.

The Fall Ball (The Hunt)
Open to Interactions; Casting Reparo on the burned painting (Gaiz Toa) and chewing the group out if Finite Incantum fails, or else observing the Stragglers
Mentioning: @Rafael D'Spacito as Hanzo & @Lydia Cooper as Alexander WardUnfortuantely it appeared like my patron portrait was not in a condition to impair knowledge or wisdom to me, as a glass of wine held signaturely in her grasp. Ah, yes, I had known that out portrait had been the merry sort, a likely conditate for partying a little too much and imbibing a little too much wine for her personal health. So when she could not remember me, I felt no insult. It has been a year since I had been within the dorms. It had been a long year at that. Perhaps I deserved to be forgotten from the Gryffindor house, with my betraying transfer in mind.
Still, it smarts to be forgotten, especially by someone that I had been close to frequently, albeit for only a few months. With a sigh and a curt bow of respect, I thank the Fat Lady for her time. ”Well, thank you anyways, Madam portrait. Enjoy your drink.” With a nod, I pull away and turn back to the main group just in time to receive a hot smack across the face, props of a blaze appearing in the midst of the group.
A fire?
This was Hogwarts after all... What was I supposed to expect of the school? Some rumors may be true after all. Perhaps I should have given Piérre a bit more credit than I’ve previously given.
Well dear God, this was the only lead that we had, and the kids surrounding him were already trying to burn it. One person cast the a spell, no doubt to end the flames. Still, I wasn’t convince that either they were going for sure to end the flames or if the spell was going to be cast correctly.
If @Kara Capricorn’s Finite Incantum Fails:If @Kara Capricorn’s Finite Incantum Succeeds:That being said, I had to jump into action myself, taking a more direct approach for the flames themselves. “Extinguo!”
Whether or not either spells succeeded, I would crossly approach, my brow creased and my gaze flicking about the are at each of them. ”And what in the world was that about?” I calmly asked, my voice audibly stressed in a fashion of holding back a shout. “Regardless of if he deserves to be burnt or not, he’s still the only lead we have. Perhaps there’s a higher force at play, and perhaps it’s something that he can lead us to. Stay your hands, if only for a little bit longer.” I cast a side eye at the man in the portrait, narrowing them slightly as if to say ‘Don’t make me regret it.’It seemed that the situation was under control, so there would be no reason for me to jump in in that chaotic situation. Now, there was something else that needed to be noted. I didn’t trust myself enough with the other paintings, and it seemed that most other people had claimed a painting already... so perhaps I would be better off trying to keep an eye out somewhere else.
Perhaps... that was why my eye had been drawn to the small group of people walking towards a different part of the hall...?
What was over there?
Only one way to find out.
”Say, um, Hanzo, Alexander? You notice something wrong with that picture?” I indicate to the people wandering away. “Do you think we should go after them?”Casting Extinguo on Gaiz Toa and
