Fabulous Felines PV Henry Knight Finished

"Sure," she said, watching intently as he demonstrated.

"Thank you," Rose grinned. "Though not as brilliant as you, as you kicked butt in your duel."

Rose looked up at the cats in the tree, and how Chaska bounced on the branch, dodging her elder's tabby paws as they shot out at her. Then Loki escaped her, going up to the top of the tree. Chaska turned her silver gaze upward at him, as if debating whether to go up there where he was waiting for her. A leaf fell off the tree, falling right in the middle of her face. She sneezed, shaking her head to dislodge the leaf. Loki continued to meow at her, as if, in his own way, challenging her to come join him at the top of the tree. Even though she wasn't entirely comfortable in the tree still, Chaska climbed up after him, a little more measured than he was in her jumps from branch to branch. Then, in the last few branches, Chaska climbed up the trunk instead of jumping, just in case the thinner branches decided to snap under her. She was a silly kitty, but she was smarter than some gave her credit for. She pulled herself onto the last branch, balancing her weight precariously. She brought her paws down on his tail- and had caught it. She held it only lightly and gave him this glance- a mixture of "uh oh, I made him mad" and "look, I did it!" Then she made a beeline down the tree, her tail streaming behind her. She would leap off the bottom branch, landing daintily on her paws, her front ones first. She would glance behind her to check on Loki if he was chasing her, and would continue to bound across the courtyard and toward Rose, leaping on her lap and turning to face Loki.

Rose would absentmindedly pet Chaska, laughing. Yeah, he did seem to like the tree. "Chaska hasn't really climbed trees before, at least as far as I know of. So this is actually really good for her... I mean, it could be possible for them to have met before, at the Menagerie. They could have been right next to each other or something. That would actually be really cute." Maybe Rose would write a story about that later.

Henry smiled as he ran a hand through his hair when he heard her reply before going over which charm to cast and how to cast it since he didn't want to get in trouble with a prefect or professor at the moment. Henry would look around before taking his greenish jacket off and pulling his wand out from its pockets as he walked toward the tree that the two cats were high in as he placed it at the base of the tree.

Henry would then walk back toward Rose before pointing his wand at his jacket as he muttered " accio jacket," and his jacket came speeding back toward him as he caught it while also taking a step backwards. Henry smiled over at Rose as he pulled it back on before placing his wand back in his jacket pocket and sitting back down next to Rose as he spoke " cool right? Maybe I could teach you it sometime?"

Henry then would smile at her compliment of his duel and his dueling abilities as he remembered the duel against the two second year Gryffindor's, one being the gryffindor captain of the team but still Henry thought of it has luck that they won since it could have easily gone either way as he spoke toward Rose " thanks but it was mostly luck still, however I bet we'll both do bloody great at are next duels."

Turing his turning toward his orange cat and Chaska in the tree, Henry watched as Loki flicker his tail while watching Chaska climb up the tree and gave a meow which was his way of saying "hurry up please" but before Loki could do anything else, the cat would feel his tail being caught by Chaska as Loki glanced at the cat before jumping down after Chaska with ease on the tree. As he then would chase her toward Rose's lap and even after Chaska was on her lap, Loki would stand on two paws with the other two on the fountain as he bat Chaska for a while before jumping onto the fountain next to Rose and batting at Chaska some more.

Henry watched as Loki bat at Chaska a bit more before swiping at the kitty one more time with his claws out and walking across Rose's lap and Henry's to say down next to him, flickering his tail again.

Scratching the back of his cat's ears, Henry turned to Rose to listen to her before speaking himself " I think Loki's more comfortable with climbing since he was almost always climbing trees over the summer holiday and all. But yeah that would have been cute if they were right next to each other or something."

Rose's eyes were trained on Henry as he demonstrated the summoning charm, doing a happy little bounce as it flew into his hand. "That's so cool! I've actually read about the summoning charm but haven't tried it before. I'd love it if you taught me sometime."

Rose chuckled as Chaska ran to get refuge in Rose's lap, whispering, "What a silly kitty." Loki came over to bat at his younger playmate, and when he swiped at her with his claws, Chaska drew back to dodge his claws, almost aghast at how he dared to unsheathe his claws. She drew back maybe a little too much and slipped off of Rose. She was able to twist in midair, landing on all four of her paws with unnatural grace in a crouching position.

And when Loki jumped onto the side of the fountain, Rose became the middle ground of their playing zone. She laughed at the kitties as they batted at each other, Chaska sometimes ducking behind Rose's leg in order to dodge Loki's paws. Sometimes she would try to catch his paw between her fluffy paws but his would always shoot out of the way fast enough unless he wanted his paw caught. Chaska rolled over onto her back, pressing her head against Rose's leg, still reaching out with her paws, quick as a minnow in the water. Rose scratched her fluffy chest absentmindedly. "If you could go anywhere in the world, where do you think you would go?" she asked thoughtfully.

Henry's smile grew when he heard her reply about the Summoning charm, he ran a hand a through his hair quick before saying " great, maybe we could meet in the library or dueling room sometime then? It's a third year spell so it may be a bit difficult but I know that you'll get it Rose," Henry was thinking about teaching her the spell and got excited just thinking about it since the boy already loved to read and learn about all kinds of charms and spells so now having the opportunity to teach his close friend caused the boy to be more excited for this.

Henry heard her whisper a response toward her cat as he watch Loki bat at Chaska a few more times before laying back down next to Henry on the fountain. Loki looked like he had enough playing with the fellow kitten but also looked like he still wanted to play with her as be was seat next to Henry on the fountain and would bat at Chaska whenever she would come close to him, occasionally with his claws sometimes.

Henry heard her question and didn't know as he looked toward her while he starched behind the ears of his orange cat before looking a bit up toward the sky deciding where he would go and why. He never thought about it and would only usually think about running away as he thought until finally he spoke " back to godric hollow maybe? Or if you mean another country then France, my mum was born there so it would be nice to visit. There are other places I would like to go to also but if I could only go one place then France," Henry looked at the sky for a few more minutes as a owl occasionally passed by probably delivering a message to his expecting owner before turning back to Rose and saying " and where would you go?"

"Thanks again, yeah, of course, I would love that. It's really sweet of you to offer all this, you're really talented at a lot of things." She knew she was repeating herself, but his offers to teach her his skills made her so excited she didn't really care too much. Plus, they were good friends and she knew he wasn't judging her. That's what friends are for.

The cat's playing had seemed to die down, and now both kitties were more just sitting on or near their owners as the humans talked. Chaska climbed delicately onto Rose's lap, laying on her side and grooming her ears with swift, elegant strokes of her tongue on her fluffy paws and then drawing them over her silver ears. Rose would stroke the silky fur on her flank absentmindedly as she listened to Henry talk about going back to Godric's Hollow. Rose knew that he had moved from Godric's Hollow to Liverpool, and hadn't been happy about it at all. Rose had always been enthusiastic about living in Godric's Hollow, though she wasn't sure it would ever come to fruition.

She was wrong. She was oh so very wrong.

If Rose could go anywhere in the world, where would she choose to go? Everywhere, if she could. Godric's Hollow, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, all over the world. But if Henry was limiting himself to one place, then she would limit herself to one place as well. "I would love to go absolutely everywhere, explore the entire world. But, if I had to pick one place, it would be... probably Canada. I've heard it's so beautiful there and everyone is so nice. It would be so grounding and peaceful to go there. Though I would love to live in Godric's Hollow, too."

Henry smiled at the thought of teaching Rose the spell and then started thinking about others he could teach or at least show her when one particular one jumped in his mind. Henry smiled at the thought of not just using it in his next duel but somewhere else, where he didn't quite know yet but he couldn't wait to try it as he spoke " your really talented to Rose! You know loads of things to and your a great wizard, uh witch," Henry smiled at her before continuing " there's another spell I think you would like? The singing jinx, Cantis. Maybe I could show you sometime and teach you if you want?"

Henry glanced toward their cats, Chaska he noticed was grooming herself on Rose's lap while Loki was seated besides him merely looking at Henry with his amber like eyes while flickering his tail from side to side on the fountain. Occasionally the cat would look else where at another student or their pet or maybe to a owl flying across the horizan to deliver a letter needless the cat still would look back at Henry almost listening to their conversation.

Henry would look back at Rose and smile as she talked about where she would like to travel. He liked her answer and thought it was cool that she wanted to travel everywhere, Henry wasn't really sure where he wanted to go or if he would travel the whole world so he just nodded as he replied " that's cool, traveling the world sounds wicked and Canada sounds cool as well. I do hope someday you live in godric hollow Rose."

The little did he know soon he will be back there as well just not how he was expecting.

Henry looked back toward their cats as silence fell not that Henry minded since he enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet around them.

Rose nodded once again, saying, "Thank you." How much more thoughtful could a person get? Henry truly was a friend you wanted to keep forever and ever and ever.

Loki seemed very alert, looking around at other people and other sounds and all. He was on guard, almost, almost as if suspecting something could go wrong any minute now. He was looking at them, as if listening to their conversation. Rose was only partway sure that he couldn't understand them. First, he was a cat. He technically shouldn't be able to understand them since he was a different species. But on the other hand, he was a cat. He wasn't just any kind of animal, he was a cat- the elegant species that seemed more magical than all the other non-magic animals. They saw things humans never noticed, they knew things that humans couldn't imagine, they could do things that humans could only wish to do. If Rose could be anything else, she would definitely be a cat.

Meanwhile, Chaska seemed completely comfortable in the presence of Rose. Her ears would flick in the direction of any sounds, but it wasn't like she was too concerned about anything happened- as if as long as Rose was there, things would be alright. Chaska really did trust Rose more than anyone else. She would always turn to her redhead owner, and Rose's lap was her favorite spot to sit, like she was now, nestled in the little dip her crossed legs left in the middle.

Rose nodded. "You, too, Henry. Maybe someday we'll live in Godric's Hollow together and we'll look back on when we were in our second year," she laughed brightly. "And were dreaming of living there." Oh, the irony.

They sat there talking for longer than they realized, as the sky darkened and the air became crisper at the limited access to the sun as it sank down toward the horizon to warm other parts of the world. Picking Chaska up out of her lap and into her arms, Rose would stand up and say, "We should probably go to dinner, it's getting late," she suggested. Rose held Chaska in her arms on her way to the Great Hall with Henry, chatting about nothing in particular. "I'm glad I ran into you today," she said quietly- the silver kitten was drifting off to sleep, tuckered out at all of that playing with her new friend. "So is my little fluff of love," she added with a smile. She would then turn to Henry's mini tiger, saying, "It was nice to meet you, too, Loki."
