The Baird manor was, for the first time in years, decorated for the holidays. Candles were in almost every window, garland strewn across banisters, a Christmas tree in many of the rooms. It had taken quite a bit of time, but the whole family had worked together to make the house look as presentable as possible. The Baird's had already opened many of the presents from their family earlier in the day, but there were still quite a few under the tree to be opened.

The Baird family had been preparing for the arrival of Logan's friend and his family all day, well some of them anyway. Hannah Baird had been running around the kitchen of the large manor attempting to make the food, much the the horror and annoyance of the rest of the family, but no one could seem to stop her. Adam Baird was attempting to keep his sons in line as they ran around the house making a mess of the place with the presents they had received earlier in the day. Adam Baird honestly could not remember when the Knight family was arriving and at this point he couldn't even find his daughter.

"Rorik, Alexander, where is your sister?" He yelled as the boys took off running down the hall, playing with something. The boys seemed to not have heard their father as they took off up the stairs. Adam Baird only huffed in annoyance as he heard a crash from upstairs. "Of course," he muttered as he sat down on the couch and ran a hand through his hair.

Logan Baird knew her best friend Henry was going to be there soon for dinner, but she just needed to get away from the chaos of the house for a little bit. That is how she found herself trotting around the arena on one of the many horses. "Do you think his family will like me?" Logan questioned the horse, knowing he wasn't going to answer. It was something she had done since she was child though, talk to the horses to get things off of her mind. The only response Logan got was a snort as they easily trotted over a ground rail. "I guess," she muttered with sigh as they continued around the arena. She didn't know what time it was, as she normally never brought a watch out with her when she went riding as she found it to be a distractions.

The young Hufflepuff enjoyed the cold air as it blew passed her face, she found it comforting and the occasional snowflake to fall brought a smile to her face. "I wish it could be like this all the time Ris," she spoke to the horse as she nudged his sides and brought him up to a canter. She told herself she would only stay out here for a little longer, but in the back of her head she knew she was going to be late.

Adam Baird had been in a mind of his own when he heard the knock at the door. "Here we go," he muttered as he stood up and watched his sister come running out of the kitchen and dining room. "Is that them, Oh I haven't finished the food yet," she muttered as she quickly walked towards the door. Adam only rolled his eyes as he followed behind his sister rather quickly. He placed a smile on his face as the door was open, only for a loud crash from the floor above to occur only moments later. A flash of silver shot out the front door, racing around all of the people before disappearing into the brush. Of course the boys would do something to cause Sherlock to hide outside from them.

"Welcome, please come inside," Adam muttered as he heard the boys come running down the stairs. "Rorik, Alexander, come meet our guests," he ground out as there was still no sign of his daughter. At this point, if she hadn't gone chasing after her cat, it meant she wasn't even in the house any longer.

@Henry Knight You must wait for the presents

Still gripping the gifts and standing next to Arthur in the cold which didn't bother him as much as he looked around and saw a stable near by and wondered if that's where her horses and probably her were at. Henry did looked back up at the house and was nervous about the dinner and their attire mostly his own since his father was in a suit and his hair combed back, his brother and even twin were in semi formal attire except for him which allowed for him to worry and anxiety to rise as he looked over at his twin who was standing a bit away from them before looking over at his brother and whispered to him " is my outfit alright? Do you think her family will like me?" Henry watched as Arthur held Loki's leash in his opposite hand before placing his other hand on Henry's shoulder and whispering to him " your clothes are fine Henry, just relax alright. Remember in and out, you don't want a attack here."

Henry felt his brother and probably best friend next to Logan of course, squeeze his shoulder a bit as he took a few breaths but that many since the door opened and a tall maybe older man also in a suit stood at it and was welcoming them in before calling to two boy's Henry thought and he also thought that the man was Logan's father. Henry watched as his own father smiled at the two adults before saying with the most proper British accent ever, " thank you for inviting my family to your house for Christmas dinner. I'm Luke Alluring, their father and this is for the two of you to say thank you for having us," Henry watched as his father enter first before following his brother through the door and stepping into the house.

Henry marvelled at the Christmas decorations and thought everything looked so beautiful as he stuck close with his older brother who spoke " thank you for inviting us Mr. Baird and Miss. Baird, I hope you don't mind but my younger brother's cat here is well behaved but we couldn't leave him home alone," Henry smiled at the two adults as he inched closer to his brother when he watched his twin enter and stand near him so she could take the package or gift from him for Logan's twin brother's before moving a but away from him.

" I'm Arthur Knight and this is my younger brother Henry Knight," Arthur spoke and Henry was more then glad that he introduced him since his anxiety he felt was rising as he smile toward the two adults then saw the two younger boy's who were identical in every way.

As Henry moved closer to Arthur, he heard Annabeth speak " I'm Annabeth or Anna," he then watched her hand the package out to the two twin boy's and say " this is for you two," before she would go back to crossing her arms and leaning on one lean much to the displeasurement of their father.

Henry still stood close to Arthur who held Loki's leash, who was looking up at the to boys and pawing at his leash almost confused why he was still wearing it inside as he heard his father speak " your house is quite beautiful. Pardon me but my son told me you worked for the creature department at the ministry, may I question you about that later? I myself work for the beast divison among others," Henry wasn't really paying attention to the conversation as he was looking around for Logan still holding her gift in his hands.

Polaris AKA Ris

Adam Baird listened to Luke Alluring carefully and nodded his head. "It is wonderful to have you and your family here. It is not often that we have guests." Adam spoke as he watched his sister rush forward and start hugging the three children one at a time.

"Oh it is so nice to meet all of you. Logan has spoken many good things about you Henry." Hannah Baird spoke rather quickly as her brother growled slightly from behind her. "My name is Adam, this is my younger sister Hannah." Adam Baird finally spoke as he got his sister to release from her hugging. At least when Logan had a friend come over the summer before, she wasn't this clingy. He wanted this dinner to go was well as possible, but at the rate his children and sister were going, it was going to be a mess before it even started. At the mention of the cat, he nodded thoughtfully as he thought of his daughter's cat.

"The cat is no problem, as we have a cat of our own. He is running around the property somewhere at this point, but he should come in soon." Adam hoped the cat would come in soon at least, as his daughter would kill them if her beloved pet would go missing. Slowly, Adam moved out of the way as his sons pushed their way forward. Moving to stand in front of the other three 'children,' but mostly Annabeth.

"I am Alexander, the cute twin," Alexander stated as he puffed out his chest and fixed the collar of his shirt, only to get shoved out of the way by his identical twin brother. "I am Rorik and he may say he is the cute one, but I am the smart one." Of course Rorik would argue back about him being better than his brother. "Thank you for the gifts," they spoke at ones as they took the gifts from the young girl's hands.

Adam Baird only sighed as his sister dismissed herself to go finish dinner, Logan still had not shown up and that was embarrassing in his eyes. "My apologies for my daughter not being here to great you, it seems she decided to go and hide somewhere." Adam spoke as he glared at his sons who were looking at him with a grin on their faces.

"Oh, she left like an hour ago to go see Ris. We can get her though, come along." The twins spoke at ones as they grabbed a hold of Annabeth's and Henry's hands and started moving them towards the back of the house, gifts forgotten on the couch in the entrance of the house. Adam only sighed again, something he had been doing quite a bit lately as he looked at the older boy, Arthur.

"If you would like to go with them you may. Luke, we can talk in the family room now if you would like, at least until my children bring your's back." Adam swore his children were the main reason he had grey hairs now.

Logan honestly had no idea that Henry and his family had arrived as she had started to ride around the jumping course she had set up the day before to practice on. Some jumps as small as only two feet and the rest close to the height of five feet. It was a nice practice to see how much she would need to work with the older horse over the summer.

The small family seemed to listened and all nod to the two adult Baird's except for Annabeth whom Henry noticed looked like she wasn't even paying attention. However Henry wasn't expecting the women to pull him, Anna, and even Arthur into a hug which had a to be difficult considering the size differences of three. Henry then felt a bit fluster and almost embarrassed when she mentioned that Logan talked about him, he talked about her as well toward his family but was always emotionally when he was the center attention so after she released them and the man introduced himself as Adam Baird and his sister as Hannah Baird.

Henry the moved a bit closer to Arthur as Annabeth stepped away from them a bit still with her arms crossed, he knew that she wanted to wear her leather jacket and cut of jeans but first off it was too cold for them and second off their father basically forbid her to wear them that day since he wanted to make a good impression with them which is what Luke was doing as he spoke " It's a pleasure to meet you Adam and you as well Hannah," when Henry heard that Loki wasn't a problem he smiled a bit as Arthur took leash off the cat but left the harness on him before getting to his feet again and folding up the leash in his head.

" His name's Loki but he's very well behaved and this is for Logan, would you like me to put it somewhere for the time being?" Henry finally spoke as he first mentioned his cat then the box in his hands that he would soon put on the couch with the others gifts before taking the leash from Arthur and tucking it out of sight and away in a inside pocket of his jacket. He then would moved closer to Arthur who would put his arm around Henry's shoulders as the family of four watched the two twins; Alexander and Rorik introduce themselves. Henry saw their father give his typical small nod of acknowledgement while both Henry and Arthur smiled at the two identical boy's.

Henry watched as Annabeth however just gave a simple head nod before passing them the gift. When the two said their reply to it she would then say " yeah sure, whatever," before crossing her arms again and tilting her head back in a board yet cool way. After they watched Hannah leave, Henry stayed close to his brother as he head Adam say he didn't know where Logan was but it attention was taken away by the twin boy's who said in unison that she was with Ris.

Henry looked at Arthur a bit confused but didn't get a answer when the two identical twins, knew grabbing Henry and the other grabbing Annabeth. Annabeth wasn't running but going on with what looked like a board posture while Henry quickly looked at Arthur for help as he felt his anxiety rise as the two identical twins pulled the twelve year old twins toward Logan.

When they were gone, Arthur would smile in the direction of his brother and hoped that he was okay but then would look toward Adam and speak to him " I can help Miss. Baird with finishing the cook if she wants, it won't be a problem to me sir." Arthur was always the polite on and kept his manners as he would then exit toward the kitchen to help Hannah. Leaving the two fathers alone as Luke would then say " yes, of course Adam at least until the children return as you said."

The twins grinned and released the other set of twins once they reached the back porch of their house. "Logan talks about you quite often Henry," Rorik spoke as he tucked his hands into the pockets of his jacket, Alexander following suit as they started down a path towards a grove of trees. "It is nice that she had finally has some friends." Alexander spoke after his brother as he started to walk backwards down the path. It seemed that out of sight of their father, the twins had calmed down quite a bit, almost seeming like completely different people.

You could see the stable from where the path was and a few of the horses could be seen sticking their heads over the doors of their stalls. They followed the path instead that lead a bit away from the stable. Ahead of them the faint sound of talking could be heard. "Oh come on Ris!!" A yell could be heard from the trees in front of the group causing the Baird twins to laugh. Of course Logan would be yelling at the horse about something. A nicker could be heard afterwards as the sound of a pole falling to the ground echoed through the trees.

"She has a habit of talking to animals," Alexander spoke as he spun around and starting walking like a normal person again. Once they got into the trees, he did not want to trip over any tree roots or fall into a hole. From where they were at, an arena appeared where the sight of different sizes of fences were scattered around the area. Sitting on the gate of the arena was Sherlock, grooming himself after running out of the house earlier on. A large horse could be seen on the far side of the arena going over the fences before stopping at some, having to be guided around them.

The twins looked at Annabeth with a grin on their faces. "We have a bet going on with Logan," "To see which one of us can get him to snap first." It was true, since Logan had come home for the holidays, the three of them wanted to see how far they could push their father until he snapped. It wasn't hard, but they wanted to see if they would be able to get it to happen on Christmas. Alexander reached over and grabbed a hold of Sherlock, causing the cat to let out a squeal of surprise. The boys only rolled their eyes at the cat as they turned to look at their sister again.

At this point Logan had noticed the group standing along the fence and grinned. Gently pulling on the reins, Logan slowed the large black horse down to a trot as she guided him over towards the fence. "I didn't know you had gotten here Henry," the Hufflepuff had a wide grin on her face as she felt the horse move under her as he adjusted his footing on the hard ground. Quickly and gracefully she swung herself down off of the horse, revealing how tall he actually was. The top of Logan's head was a few inches below the back of the horse, making him look massive compared to the small girl. Said horse snorted at the girl as she brought his reins from around his neck and walked him out of the arena.

"Hi, I am Logan," she introduced herself to who she assumed was Henry's sister, "This is Polaris." The horse snorted in response as he gently shoved Logan, trying to get her to move. He didn't have the same attitude as Jupiter, but he did not like being told no and having to wait.

Henry continued to watch Logan ride and smiled as it amazed him so he only partly paid attention to the conversation going on between Annabeth and the two identical boy's; Alexander and Rorik who were talking about a bet that they had with Logan. Henry still watching Logan ride, didn't see his twin flip her hair back and cross her arms with a roll of her eyes she spoke " is it difficult to get him to snap? I could probably do it quicker then both of you then since I make our father snap everyday no matter if he's home or not," Henry ignored his sister as he felt his cat lean against his leg causing him to look down at the feline with a smile before hearing his name followed by the familiar voice of his best friends.

Henry looked up and saw Logan was now next to them and dismounted her horse as well whom she was leading with the reins, hearing her introduction toward Annabeth before introducing her horse as Polaris which he now understood the nickname Ris Henry spoke " Hey Logan, you were amazing riding him and Polaris as in the Xmen comics?" Henry enjoyed reading muggle comics a bit too much which his twin thought has weird gave a eye roll toward him before he would continued " do you think I could touch him Robin? He really seems like a incredible creature," Henry then pointed out his orange cat before speaking again " oh and you remember Loki right? We couldn't leave him alone so we brought him with us," remembering that he introduced Loki to Logan while at Hogwarts earlier before looking back at the horse with a smile.

Annabeth however didn't shared her twins excitement as she crossed her arms and with a roll of her eyes spoke " Annabeth or Anna," the twins were clearly opposite of each other different from the two boy's who were almost the same in every way. As Henry stepped a bit closer toward Logan still at awe with the horse in front of him, Annabeth would take a step back as she spoke almost sarcastically " while standing in freezing weather is always brilliant and I much rather stay out here and freeze to death. But don't you think we should go in somewhere warm," Henry ignored his twin as he continued to state at the horse in awe while whispering to Logan, " just ignore Anna, she not really friendly toward anyone not even me."

The twins grinned at Annabeth and looked at her as if she was the greatest person in the world, something Logan did not seem to like too much. At hearing Henry ask about Polaris's name, she smiled. "Yes and no, My mother named him after the North Star, but the twins insist that he is an X-Men in horse form. They do spend quite a bit of time reading muggle comics." She reached up and gently touched the horses velvety nose with a smile. "Pet him if you would like. He is one of the nicer horses on the property."

At the mention of Loki, Logan slowly knelt down in front of the cat. "It is wonderful to see you Loki, Sherlock come here," At the sound of his name, Logan's cat jumped off of the fence and trotted over, rubbing against her legs with a meow of wanting attention. The Hufflepuff only shook her head with a giggle and stood back up straight.

Logan could already tell that her and Annabeth were not going to get along the greatest, but she was going to try her best to stay civil with the girl. "Will it is wonderful to meet you Anna. If you would like you can head back to the house with the twins, I believe Kall would be very happy to make you a hot drink of your choice." She was not going to send Henry back with the twins and his sister, she would rather he stay with her where at least he would have someone to talk to. At hearing Henry whisper to her, she nodded her head thoughtfully.

"Come on Henry, you can help me get Ris situated in his stall. We can meet the other horses while we are at it." Before Logan could even do anything, Sherlock took off towards the barn ahead of them, where he knew Logan had a stash of treats for when they spent the day outside. It was a wonder the strange cat was not fat.
