Logan playfully glared at Elsian as she put the blanket back on a pile of other pillows and blankets in the corner. "You just had to throw the pillow," she giggled as she tossed said pillow onto a pile of her own. Slowly she turned to look around the room, nodding as she realized that it had in fact been cleaned up some.

"We have been up here for a half an hour at most. That also means she most likely burnt almost everything...so don't get food poisoning." It wouldn't have been the first time someone had gotten sick from her aunt's cooking and it probably wouldn't be the last either. The only reason she was cooking in the first place was because she wanted to welcome Elsian, something Logan was afraid of. Waving her hand in a 'follow me' motion, she starting walking to the door that was behind her. Pushing it open, she stepped out into a well lit hallway with two other doors in the opposite direction of the stairs.

"We will come back up here after lunch so I can show you the rest of this floor before we head out to see the horses." she explained as she leaned against the wall across from the door.

If that wasn’t slightly menacing he didn’t know what was. Dropping a pillow onto his pile he turned his head to eye Logan, bracing his weight against the soft mountain of ammo he’d piled back up and giving her a small look.

I mean, I’ll try but-” he shook his head softly, lips quirking slightly and brow raised in a somewhat wry look, “kinda think it's up to fate at this point.

Abandoning his post he followed after the other, steps quietly padding across the floor as they dipped out into the halls. He nodded at Logan's explanation, giving a small shrug and half smile, “works for me.” There was barely a pause between his words before he seemed to have a sudden realization, an epiphany if you will, one that had his lazy smile curling into a plasticky sweetness that probably could mirror one of those Barbie's Sage seemed to love looking at at the shops.

I finally get to see Lady Logan's grand steeds? Showing me personally too? How lucky,” he cooed, hiding a smirk behind his hand, “my wonderful book mercenary, do I get to see you in a suit of armor or do I have to pay extra tutoring for that? Cause I would it that's on the table.

A thoughtful look and then, "unless shining armor is strictly for your future prince or princess, in which case I regretfully understand and will happily accept you wearing an oversized feather hat instead." he offered, nodding with a sage look, as if he'd just gone over some very serious deal rather than goading the other.

As Logan guided Elsian down the hallway, she rolled her eyes. "Yes, you get to see my all mighty steeds. I don't really own any armor, unless you are counting my helmet and vest." At this point the Hufflepuff had guided the Gryffindor down a flight of stairs and they were now passing the library, the smell of burnt food already noticeable. "I don't own any feather hats," she laughed as she could hear her brothers arguing in the dining room.

"I am going to apologize again for the state of the food. She tries, fails, but tries." They had finally reached the the first floor and turned in the opposite direction of the sitting room. This time heading down the other hallway passed a couple of family pictures. In front of the two was a wide open room with a half wall on one side, where smoke could be seen coming from the kitchen, and the rest of the room was open to dining room table and many chairs. Alexander and Rorik sat at one side of the table arguing about something as Logan rolled her eyes.

"Behave boys, and what are we having today." At hearing their sister's voice, the boys looked up with a grin. "Aunt Hannah made grilled chicken, Kal made salad" the boys answered at once as Logan sat down across from Rorik, leaving Elsian with the seat across from Alexander. About 8 empty seats sat around the four kids.

He tsked, fingers tugging at a wild strand of hair with a faked look of annoyance, “I didn’t even think to bring one.” With a sigh he dismissed the lost opportunity, waving a hand lazily through the air as they waltzed down the staircase, “Its fine, I’ll just have to bring you one of mine next time.

A pause and then, “or I could always make one with extra feathers.” he trailed off, a look that could only be described as curious and trouble flashing across his features before fluttering away the next second once the sound of arguing reached them.

It would be a lie to say it wasn’t alarming to hear someone continuously apologize and warn you about the meal you were supposed to have in a few minutes, perhaps it would have been better if one knew for a fact that it was done out of an attempt to poison you like in a book, or as a prank, even simply out of ill intent from a rival or bully. The fact was it was double or maybe even triple as alarming when the person in danger of poisoning you had done it not only accidentally but also in an attempt to be nice or welcoming or any number of kind hearted reasons.

As far as his feelings on the meal, he was very much keeping Logan's words in mind despite how he may have outwardly been acting, and yet despite the fact that Logan seemed quite sure the possibility of food poisoning, or at least extremely burnt food was indeed on the table he wasn’t all that worried. That may have been a bit foolish of him not to be more wary but then again that could have been due to the fact his brain kept soothing any worries but comparing any bad food to the time he’d gotten poisoned by eating an unknown mushroom out of spite.

Not fun that had been, but that sort of memory definitely helped put bad meal levels into perspective!

Following dutifully alongside the other Elsi was able to mostly ignore the spicy scent of meaty smoke drifting from the kitchen area as he sat down in the empty seat next to Logan. Almost like some twisted form of magic it was an instant fight not to throw his arms over the table in front of him and plop his head down atop them to rest on the edges of naptime. Comfortable and peaceful and an internal battle he barely resisted as he lifted up his arms in preparation for a laziness to match the ages before suddenly remembering Logan was right next to him and would actually probably fight him if a nap fell through.

Carefully, he instead let his hands rest against the edge of the table in a stretch, a motion not very unusual for him when fighting off lazy urges. It probably wouldn’t have been obvious to anyone who didn’t know him all that well, but Logan? She probably knew exactly what he’d really been about to do, and it left him giving her a small sharp smile and prodding her jokingly when their eyes met.

Behave says the Mad Queen,” he muttered, just loud enough for her and just maybe her brothers if they were paying enough attention, "you'd be more royal-y if you had a crown, shall I fashion one out of spoons for the Crazy Wonderlandian?" he teased hiding a snicker behind a hand.

Logan glared at Elsian playfully, "As you must know, I do not need a crown." She crossed her arms and turned away as her brothers began to laugh from across from. "My tiara is in my bedroom," she informed him as she glanced over at her aunt who had just entered the room with a few plates of food. Following behind her was a rather distraught Kal who carried a bowl of salad.

"Here is your lunch kids, enjoy," she said with a smile on her face as she placed the stack of empty plates and silverware in the center of the four kids. On the other side she placed the plate of clearly burnt grilled chicken. Kal quickly placed the salad on the opposite side of the chicken and looked at Logan expectantly. "Could you bring us all water Kal," she asked rather nicely as the house elf quickly nodded his head. "Anything for Miss Logan."

Logan turned towards Elsian with a grin on her face as she reached for a plate in front of them. "If you take off the outside of the chicken, it shouldn't be too bad." Quickly she placed some chicken onto her plate, glasses of water appearing in front of all of the kids. Kal not even appearing in the dining room.

"So Elsian, how are you enjoying everything so far?" Alexander questioned rather quickly as he stuffed his face with salad. "Has Logan shown you the horses yet?" Rorik questioned immediately after as he ate his food like a civil person.
