History:
Slyvia was born to a witch and wizard couple in a London hospital, before being brought home on the outskirts of Manchester. Even as a young girl, she recalls her parents, Damien and Ava Wight, having a rocky marriage. They divorced only a few days after her eigth birthday, splitting custody over their only child.
As she continued to grow, young Sylvia spent most of her time with her mother, visiting her father in his ritzy London flat on weekends and certain holidays. She was fine with the arrangements for a while, at least, until both her parents found new people to take up their time.
For her mother, companionship came from the most unlikely of places. Ava Wight, a pureblooded witch whose family scorned Muggles, fell in love with a Muggle baker by the name of James Schwart. At first appalled by her mother's choice (Slyvia was raised in Slytherin, pureblooded family mentality, after all) she soon found herself growing fond of her kind, soon to be stepfather.
Her own father, however, was not as tolerant of his ex-wife's decisions. As often as possible, he ranted about the ramifications of this union to his daughter, causing a rift to spring up between them. Slyvia was more than happy when she recieved her letter, an excuse to get away and let her family drama sort itself our while she was off at school.
Personality:
Slyvia is a mischevious, spritely young girl, with a penchance for finding as many loopholes in rules as possible without outright breaking them. Her favorite hobby is pulling pranks on fellow unsuspecting students and getting away scot-free. She was highly suprised to be sorted into Gryffindor at first, due to her Slytherin family history, but soon came to realize that the sorting hat really was never wrong. With her talent for getting into trouble, it's no wonder what house she ended up in.
However, she is quite studious, with an ambitious and slightly egotistical streak that drives her towards outdoing as many as her classmates as possible, grade-wise. She gets into many conflicts, not because she starts unneccesary drama, but because she simply will not stand for someone disrespecting her or anyone she knows.
Relationships:
As of now, Slyvia only has one close friend, a childhood mate by the name of Eva Grey. Best friends for life, they were inseparable before coming to Hogwarts. Now, even though they are in different houses, they keep up their friendship through many, many messages sent to one another.
Aspirations:
Slyvia desires to become a Beater, a great Quidditch player (a dream her mother approves of, and her father, well...let's just say he isn't the biggest fan of the sport). She wants to work in the Ministry when she gets older, like her father, though she'd prefer not to be trapped in the same department as him. Most of all, Slyvia want to make some kind of impact in the wizarding world, leave a legacy as a name to be remembered for decades to come.
