She had been lounging in one of the chairs by the fireplace. It was one of the best spots in the common room and one that was rarely unoccupied. At the moment, Elena was relatively comfortable where she was at the present moment as the crackles of the flames emitted their warmth as her quill scratched against the parchemnt present on her lap wrinkled slightly as she wrote. It was a nice little evening in which she had opted to take the chance to work on some homework,something about gargoyles in specfic, it was a funny little topic evidenced by the thick textbook she had sprawled open on the table in front of her. Those things really were too big. sometimes she wondered if the professors intentionally snagged up the most content-heavy books they could find, she shook her head smiling at the though slightly before settling back into her groove though.

It didn't last long however. It never would in the common room with people coming back and forth. She probably should have taken this to the dorms but being so high up in Gryffindor Tower, they didn't have a roaring fireplace up there and right now, she was content and warm so hopefully this would not take long. Her eyes shifted to rest on the girl who had approached her, a eyebrow raised at the sudden introduction and the question that followed. "Sure." She said a bit curious as to what she could have done that would have garnered this girl's interest in her, she mentally noted down the name. Lilvi, was it? Elena decided not to try out the pronounciation out loud her tongue rolling in protest at the v portion, it was unique for sure.

"Elena Jangleton, Gryffindor, thirteen." She replied relishing the information to the curious person. She wasn't sure what this was for but she didn't see any harm coming from such basic information, surely it couldn't hurt, right? "Might I ask what this is for?" A part of her hoped she wasn't signing up for anything nefarious, in hindsight, maybe she should have asked that question intially but it was too little too late to think on that now. She put her quill down directing her full attention to her newlyfound companion. Gargoyle essays could wait, maybe this would prove to be more interesting than what she was doing at the present moment or so Elena hoped.

Lilvi says, "Do you like the layout?" Lilvi shows the page in her journal to Elena, at the bottom is a realistic sketch of what Elana looked like.

The fire at that moment just went out, "I'll get it, while you think about it." Lilvi lit the fire and came back, she decided to take her shoes off, she thought that she was getting too warm, but she didn't want to take away the warmth from others in the common room, so she just took off her shoes and robe, which left her in black yoga pants, and a white t-shirt with the Gryffindor symbol.

"L it is then." Elena declared grateful for the fact she was accepting of the nickname. There was no way she was able to get the pronounciation of what should have been a relatively easy name but it was quite a mouthful to say the least. It was this very moment that the roaring flames that had been keeping them all warm and relatively cozy chose at the moment to cease functioning and sputtered leaving a dark and barren fireplace. Elena shot it a mildly disapproving look as if refussing to accept what had just happened. In all her time at Gryffindor Tower, she had never first-hand personally witnessed the fire go out, sure, there were times when the fireplace was not lit but for it to go out, she had a hard time believing that. "It has to be jinxed or something." She joked glancing down at the parchment Livi handed her while her newlyfound friend went to mediate the solution.

Whatever it was, it seemed to have worked as the familiar feeling of overbearing heat returened rather quickly. She ran a lock through her hair as her eyes scanned the questions posed thinking on it a good while tapping her quill to her cheek. This felt more like she was filling out her own biography in a sense, still, it was a curious little endeavor the girl had agreed to partcipate in seeing no harm from such things as quill met parchment quickly jotting out a few words to the questions posed. She wondered if this would even surivive to seventh year but there was only one way to find out. "Just make sure you don't lose it, here, here's what I got so far." Elena said smiling wryly.

Lilvi pulled it out of her pocket.

"It's so cringy, but I love it, it reminds me of how bad my grammar is." Lilvi says in a sassy tone, "Make sore yo are being kind" she laughs. "Anyways, I was wondering if we could be, friends, you know, I'm not mean or anything, I just think you are kind because you aren't bailing on me right now." Lilvi was good at making friends and conversing, but when she was nervous, all hope lost, she was the awkwardest, weirdest person ever. She hoped that her Irish accent wouldn't make her sound even more foolish. She fidgeted with her bracelet, it had a charm on it that said, "No matter what house I am, I am kind, creative, smart, ambitious, brave, and beautiful " The bracelet was owned by her mother, she loved it, it expressed she was every house no matter what.

She wasn't bailing on this poor soul mainly because, Elena felt it would be rude to deny such an innocent request and secondly, it had been so sudden, so out of the blue Elena had to stick around and see what all the questions was about and that was becoming apparent to her pretty quickly. A sort of memento if you will for the future and Elena decided she liked that, it was a nice little thing that is if everything worked out as she planned it and so far, aside from the chaos that seemed to pop up every and now, the Gryffindor reckoned she was doing pretty alright. "Of course we can, I look forward to who else you spring these impromptu interviews on. Seems like a fun little thing to go about quizzing people about." The girl said grinning glancing down at the sticky note. The structure was indeed lacking in some skill but that was nothing a Self-Spelling Quill couldn't fix.

She smiled at the bracelet Lilvi was displaying, a brief flashback presenting itself in her head of her own upbringing. It wasn't really much of an upbringing but she thought it must be nice to have little gifts every now and then, a privlege she was not accustomed to sadly. "Sounds like your mother really adores you, huh?" Elena asked noting the words on it, each adjective hitting home to the Gryffindor but each word was replaced with the words of her own father, Robhurst Jangleton and those adjectives held negative connoations. Another sign of most wizarding families were supposed to be but the Jangletons seemed to be the exception to that norm, she had come to learn. "It's really pretty,it fits you." She said forcing a grin onto her face.
