She tried to keep it in, she really did, but the laugh that escapes her while sitting outside, with the queen
of fire, after pulling her away from a fight is just natural.
"Good god Anastasia. You want to know why I think you care, because if you did not, why would you fight. Why would you fight someone in the name of your family if you did not care? As for why I care, because you are so much better than this. You are better than petty fights and rumors. So pull yourself the fuck together and show everyone how powerful you are."
Now that Amara is done with her small rant she sends a sharp look over to her older companion. "Want me to go now so you can wallow or do you want me to stay?"
The Dragamior heir tucks some stray hair behind her ear and looks around. Tomato head seems to be gone but maybe she will go find the red-head later and apologize; big maybe. It just... baffles her. Anastasia comes from such a refined family yet all these rumors seem to be running around, chasing the Becketts in circles. There is something that the blonde is missing, something else going on.

Playing With Fire
@Katrina Walker | @Amara Dragamior
Ana's eyes turned cold when Amara laughed. While this might be some sort of charity project or interesting phenomena to point and stare at for Amara, this was Ana's life. Unlike moments before, Ana was perfectly in control as she slapped Amara. It wasn't particularly hard, but it would certainly sting in the cold air, as well as communicate to Amara that this was not a subject to laugh at.
Her eyes narrowed further and filled with venom as Amara spoke. If she honestly thought that any of this was for Ana's family, she was sorely mistaken. It was an outlet for Ana's overwhelming rage that just so happened to shut up the fools that were talking. Ana wasn't someone who particularly cared what others said about her. She had dealt with rumors and whispers all her life, as all purebloods did. If Amara couldn't see the difference between a normal level of gossip and a rumor that Ana had killed her parents, she was even more of a fool than Ana thought. "Who the fuck are you to presume to tell me what to do in this situation?" Ana said, her tone low, which was generally more concerning than if she was screaming. "I don't need your pity or your judgment or whatever the hell it is you think you're doing. You think what - because we sat on the train and watched a sunset that you have the right to say anything about my life? That we're friends?" The last word filled with disgust as if it was the worst thing Ana could think of.
While Ana didn't loathe Amara the way she did others, being told what to do was something she refused to tolerate. "Trust me, that's not a fate you want." Any of her friends could say that much. She had done nothing but hurt them since she had arrived back at school, and yet she knew that if she were to do as they wished and let them in, inevitably, she would hurt them more. The only thing Ana was consistently capable of was destruction and she would be damned if she brought anyone else down with her.
She rolled her eyes as Amara asked if Ana wanted her to stay. Obviously not. Still, Ana refused to give her the satisfaction of acting like a petulant toddler and demanding she leave.
Long story short, I survived
