Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving. I am thankful for this community in spite of the stressful days it sometimes gives, the members of this community do make it worth it. I know that in the midst of a pandemic we are isolated from friends and families which makes the holidays hard, but we have also made some new friends during our time on here. This is simply an out of character thread (no word count minimum) where if you want you can simply talk about the things, the places, the events or the people that you are grateful for.
For those in countries besides the United States - this is Thanksgiving in America. Canada was last month. This is a major holiday that celebrated loved ones and family, where we give 'thanks' for all of the things that we are grateful for. The concept of gratitude is a universal emotion that I know all of us share, so feel free top participate in this thread.

Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving Lear! And to anyone else who is reading for that matter! I hope you all are doing well. Will keep this short and sweet. 2020 has been a fever dream of a year. It started out pretty rough for me. Had some things happen to some family at the beginning of the year. H.io was a distraction for me at the time. I'm very thankful for stumbling across the site, but more so, thankful for the community. I've met a lot of wonderful people, some that I could consider friends even (I think you guys know who you are 
). And while it may seem silly (and I've probably said it before), I am thankful for the time you all take to thread with me, and even talk to me OOC. It means a lot.

Thanksgiving
this is the author of aurelia n for anyone wondering. although i dont really celebrate thanksgiving as a tradition, i have a few things i am grateful for, this community/site for one. it is nearing the 3 year milestone on site for me and i am thankful for everyone who rped with me throughout this time. i am thankful that HIO has somewhat allowed my writing and English in general - it was not really my strongest subject academically, im more of a sciencey person - to improve. im grateful that everyone was so patient despite my multiple month-long hiatuses. im thankful or the members and staff on SWAG and the fact that the club still lives on. im also grateful for all the HIO staff who has sacrificed their time and put in so much effort to develop all the systems and maintain peace in this commmunity. its been 10 months ive spent away from my direct family which the longest ive been mostly due to covid so im thankful that video calls exist.
