Using my iNPC Iris Fields

Iris wasn't sure if it had been her talking or the fact that both of them had worked things out, but there wasn't any fighting anymore and that was all that counted. Iris was a bit bored, but she was actually starting to value the two of them so she didn't just up and leave.

Iris looked to Charles when he switched to Russian, hadn't they already established that wasn't a good idea? Then he admitted that he didn't realize. Iris didn't have that happen too much, but considering he knew more languages, Iris gave him a bit of a break.

"I found out about five minutes before we met when my grandparents sent me an owl saying that I was going," Iris said a bit icily. There was no part of her that wanted to go. In fact, she would be perfectly content spending her New Years in the forest on her parent's land like she was used to. Parties and dresses and heels were all things that Iris had no experience with. "But if you two are going, at least I'll know someone," Iris' icy tone melted away, revealing that she already was thinking of the two of them as friends.

It didn't take much for Iris to consider someone her friend. But that also meant that she hadn't had very many real friends as long as she could remember. Perhaps this could be the moment she changed it? Or maybe, this was just like any other time.

Charles gave a small smile toward her when she mentioned knowing him and Katherine at the gala and slipped his hands in his leather jacket as he listened to Katherine and chuckled a bit at her words as well. He technically didn't know about the gala and wasn't completely sure he was going well he probably will be going unless something happened from now to then. Then there was the possibility he wouldn't have saw the two girls, he didn't know if he'll have a chance or if something else may come in the way still he shook the thought away.

" My cousin from Hogwarts told me, he's a gryffindor I believe," as Charles spoke he found himself recalling the conversation between him and Colin technically it was more of a rant about Hogwarts from Colin but still he found out about the gala from him. Charles looked up before looking back at the two girls and saying " that's true, at least we'll know others who will be going and all," Charles offered both a smile as he looked at the sky a bit. While the boy didn't really have friends in Dumstrang, he had a few at other schools but still he would have liked to consider those two his friends of sorts.

It was so weird watching something like friendship coming together. Usually, Iris wouldn't stand still for a conversation like this, she'd be doing something else at the same time. Usually something childish. But there was something that she felt, a connection. Like they sort of knew what she was going through, that they'd be there for her. Or perhaps she was just fantasizing because she wasn't doing anything. Sometimes it was hard to tell.

"Okay, so now that I sort of know what to expect. Is there anything I should know about the people that'll be there? Are there any families to avoid?"

As the conversations went on and Iris learned more and more. She started to realize that she might actually have a chance at friendship. As long as she didn't ruin it. Her grandmother always complained that Iris was childish and had never learned discipline, Iris supposed it was true, now that she'd seen what discipline was. But at least now she wouldn't be clueless. Now she might have a chance at fitting in.

There was an aura of gratefulness as the group parted ways. Nonverbal promises to keep in touch and reach back out soon. Iris was slowly coming to realize that she had made friends.

Charles kept his hands in jeans pockets and his blonde curly hair somehow stayed out of his eyes even with the wind blowing through it. As his arms pressed into the sides of his leather jacket with a rather odd but appealing look on his face as his lips curved into a half smile.

Even through the twelve year old was enjoying the conversation with the two girl's. The blonde found Iris to be quite exciting and athletic, someone outgoing perhaps the boy could persuade her to in a late night flying around these ground or a friendly broom race before the one between the schools.

However he found Katherine to be interesting yet fantasizing, the girl seem not afraid to get what she wanted and at least to Charles seemed like one who had ambition. In the boy's mind, she wasn't that bad to have as a ally and who knows maybe one day the two may he friends or a duo...

When Iris spoke about the people and any families to avoid the first that popped into his mind was his own however after a moment of thought the boy spoke with his usual mixed accent, " any snobby posh guys or girls try to avoid unless you like hour conversations on a watch or jewel," a smile from the boy before he continued " as for families just stay clear of any that look to be either involved in the dark arts. Mine for example," another smile from the boy before looking over at the lowering sun and figuring he should get back to his camp unless he wanted to arrive to dinner with a black eye or bloody nose the the blonde spoke " it was a pleasure meeting you both but I should be going now," a quick smile to each before he spoke again " I hope to see you both again for I much enjoyed both of your companies."

After that Charles would turned and go in the direction of the Dumstrang camp, dressing each step.
