Dan ran his fingers through his incredibly wet hair in utter frustration. He couldn't find the snitch. Somehow, for THIS LONG he couldn't find it. And all the while, despite predicting Gryffindor's every move yet again, the whole plan fell apart.
Dan was going to be up all night festering over this. His own failure as a Seeker, the utter bullshit luck Gryffindor was having, his whole team getting colds probably from being in this rain so long, all at once...
Dan shook his head. The time for moping was later. Not now. Now he needed to concentrate. Find the snitch. FIND THE SNITCH!

Okay, it is look like their attempt to whacked the opposing player for once not useless at all. After the green eyes swing their bat with all the strength their body had, the metal ball iron flied to the opposite direction and hit one of the Beater for the Gryffindor team. The purple hair hoping it was not Scarlett.
Though both of the second year play for the opposite teams, Cash consider Scarlett as a friend and they will be feeling guilty if Scarlett get any harm. Yes, Quidditch can be brutal sometimes but at the end, Scarlett was one of the people that Cash consider as a friend. The green eyes swiped the rain from their face. The boy that being hit by Cash, get hit again for the second time.
The green eyes searching for the second beater that knocked the boy from his broom but unfortunately Rafa was there to catch the falling boy. "Oh come on!"Cash hit their bat to the shaft of the school issue broom that they ride. It looks like they gain another score. The shivering and the coldness did not bother them like at the beginning of the game.
"Seriously how hard it is to catch the snitch?"The purple hair spoke to no one but the cold air that surrounded then. When the bludger come at their way again, the second year will smacked it so whomever get the end of their batting will fall of their broom for real this time.

Tired, aggravated, and growing colder by the second, Rafael would watch the transpiring events of the game with determined eyes as his grip only increased on his broom, mirroring in a small way the growing anxiety he felt building up within his chest. Slytherins’ tactics had changed in a moment’s notice, effectively ripping the carpet from under the young Captain’s feet – the damned cheaters had finally shown their true colors, assaulting his own team with an assortment of offensive moves both legal and dirty alike. His team, his friends, his brothers and sisters, in a sense. Dan had done this, and now he was going to fucking pay. Maybe, the boy thought to himself in an offset manner, his gaze flickering over to their feisty redhead seeker, now riding his Ana’s broom. God, this had gone on for long enough – he knew full well that even if Dan located the snitch, it would be a good long while until Slytherin could hope to make a catch. But even so, where was their own expertise on the field? Where was that snitch catching Evelynn was supposed to be good at? Perhaps there was a time where her mad skills had secretly blown him away, but at this point, the Captain was beginning to reconsider his own opinions of the girl. The snitchnipping idea had been a motivation, an ideal meant to push the other to be better, but now it was becoming a legitimate option. He was getting fed up with all the messing around, where was her actual playing? He knew she could do it, so why wasn’t she acting already? “Merlin, Eve, stop messing around and catch that damned snitch!” he would yell over the harsh whine of the winds, his eyes narrowed as he threw a fist into the air. It would be all he could do to relieve the anxiety welling up in his chest.
His reaction to Kyle’s fall would be instantaneous – he’d been keeping an eye on his upperclassman ever since he’d caught the older’s sudden change in direction, and the subtle way he had gravitated towards their team’s seeker. And when the bludger had smashed into his side, Rafael was there, scooping Kyle from the sky almost immediately after his hands left his broom. Usually, he would take pride in his acute awareness on the field, but as of current, the game was too fucked up for him to celebrate yet. He would keep his eyes on his surroundings, watching for the both of them as Kyle yelled something over his shoulder in a tone that thoroughly confused Rafael, its weight aimed most likely towards the girl whose bludger had assaulted him. It would be then, that another opponent would swoop in on the both of them – it was , surprisingly, the Slytherin keeper this time, her intentions clear as she leaned forward, hand protruding outwards as to knock them both from their shared broom. Now, Rafael had failed enough blatches by now to know how people managed to evade his foot. It would be all too easy to spiral underneath her grip, banking as he came to her other side. “Nice try, honey,” he would provoke her with an arrogant tone and a wink, before his voice banked into a darker tone. “Stick to the hoops,” he would sneer. He was angry at everything already, but this was a new level of aggravation. He was most definitely the villain now, and he was okay with hurting a few feelings.
He would bank again, then, threading through a few more players before his ears caught Kyle’s question. He would proceed to answer the other in a quiet voice, the winds masking his plan from all who hoped to contest it. “Hold on, yeah?” he would punctuate his words, his speed picking up as he set his sights on his target. Hopefully, with some solid teamwork, they could accomplish what they came here to do – win.

Although disappointed, she had not given up on her team yet. They still hadn't lost. Besides, it didn't look like the Slytherin seeker was going to catch the snitch anytime soon, therefore leaving more time for Evelynn to grasp onto the devilish ball. Gryffindor team also seemed to have moved into defensive tactics, hopefully therefore eliminating further player losses. Oh if they could just hurry up and win this already, then they could all get out of this cold weather and celebrate in the common room.

She had no time to think about Persephone. Racing onto the pitch she barely processed what was happening, making quick survey of the field and where the rest of her team was. Somehow by some miracle of the gods, Evelynn still had not caught the snitch despite it seeming as if she had spotted the little golden ball. How could she catch it when Slytherin had not let up their attack of her so far. She had targeted a pair on one broom, charging after them, but her nerves got the better of her maybe, and she missed her attempt to blatch them. Despite failing she was still penalized and forced to fly a lap around the pitch. Not a good start to my first time on the field.

Percival was beginning to doubt that he would ever be warm again. While the cold had stopped bothering him as much as it had first. Small shivers continued to rack his body every could of seconds. The boy looked up towards the sky. Making out the shapes of the players whizzing by. Percival refused to lose hope for his teammates. They hadn't lost yet. All they needed now was to catch the snitch, and the game would be over with.

Even though Pierre was a little too hysteric and wild for his liking in a situation he himself found stressful, in a way it also motivated and cheered him up so he would not let it be noticed. Though he would sometimes grip the stick of his broom tighter whenever the other Gryffindor began to jump wildly or do other hazardous stuff, as the fourth year would momentarily fear to just fail because of such a thing. The boy however was pleased with the recent results; they were still behind by a lot of course but nonetheless they seemed to be catching up a little resulting in this not being too much of a misery. Alan was exciting, blood pumping through his veins. "Let's go!" He hoped that Pierre would get a little calmer but he would feel bad to point out such a thing especially as he has not been doing any harm yet. It just made Alan a little nervous and disrupted his focus if he constantly had someone yell in his ears. He shook off those thoughts as he focused on the game again, a determined face and excitedly sparkling eyes.

INTERACTING WITH: @Anastasia Beckett
MENTIONING: @Rafael D'Spacito and the game in general
Silver streaks of rain continued to pelt relentlessly down to meet the blur of the green pitch below. The match wouldn't be able to go on for much longer. Of that, Evelynn was certain. Nevermind that through the efforts of the wind and rain together, she could barely feel her hands any longer; she could not remain ignorant of the state of her team. Although she spared few enough of them in her effort to remain fixed upon the evanescent snitch, every glance about the stadium brought with it an increasing difficulty to pinpoint any of her own teammates.
And yet, there seemed to be no shortage of Slytherin uniforms. The difference between their offensive abilities was staggering. Wasn't there a parable about the lion and the snake? Even if she didn't take the moment to actually take stock of who remained upon their brooms—not that she was likely to be able to do that successfully in this weather anyway—Evelynn had little doubt in her mind that while the numbers of her own team were dwindling, each member excised almost surgically like an unwanted nuisance, they'd delivered nothing in return.
The pounding in her head redoubled. All the more so as her Captain's words—“Merlin, Eve, stop messing around and catch that damned snitch!”—flitted through the wind and rain like a spiteful arrow to pierce her pride. She was trying. Yet again, the corners of her eyes pricked painfully at the reminder of her current failings. Far more painful than any of the blows she had thus far sustained, the fear of potentially letting down her entire team in a situation becoming increasingly dire in the mounting sum of their sacrifices ate at her resolve. She was trying. This was her first game, she rationalized. In torrential weather, attempting to find a stupid little ball of gold that even the senior Slytherin seeker seemed not even to have found yet given that he wasn't neck and neck with her and her ride in its pursuit. Nevermind the fact that the difference in difficulty of this already impossible task was exponential when the broom was controlled by someone else. She was trying.
What did D'Spacito have to show for any of his efforts, anyway? A few fruitless penalty laps with nothing to show for it. Perhaps if he had stopped "messing around", they might have a few more points to show for it. Blood boiled beneath her flesh, serving well to distract her from the icy grasp of the waters. She wanted to shout at him. To snap back. To dive her hand for the thin carved wand secreted away within the inside lining of her boot and pelt him with a well-aimed hex. Perhaps she'd remind him after the game of the last time he'd sought to cross her beneath the bleachers.
As much of a wounding as he'd given her pride, however, D'Spacito had done well—intentionally or otherwise—to incite her ire and clear her mind of the self-pity and worry clouding it. She'd prove him wrong. She would always prove him wrong. Never would she allow there to be a question as to who between the two of them was the better flyer or the better player. It wasn't his points weren't going to win them this game.
Brows creasing in concentration, Evelynn set her slate gaze back against the deluge to hone in on what would be the golden conquest of her debut. She leaned in against Beckett, arms tightening about the girl's middle in an effort to minimize any additional drag, ready to flatten at a moment's notice. All for the better as a sudden burst of speed from Beckett skipped them ahead. The heavy thuds sounding in succession from behind the pair revealed the reason for the acceleration, and they weren't going to be received in vain.
"Faster," Evelynn urged.

She spoke too soon. Her fun was over, it was time for a penalty lap. Well, at least she couldn't say that she hadn't contributed. More than anything, Alexx was very proud of herself and what she had accomplished this game. Although she couldn't contribute in this round, she wold be cheering her teammates on from afar (afar as in the sidelines, where she would be taking her penalty lap). She was also proud of herself for managing to escape the eyesight of the Flying professor, as he only figured out now what she had done, when she had been doing it all along. With a grim smirk on her face, she knew that she had achieved something.

Pierre and Alan, now sharing a broom, decide to continue Gryffindors attempts at stalling the enemy. They go up against Nico, who unfortunately for them seems like she might be getting used to their tactics and playstyles. After managing to grab onto the quaffle once, the boys lose the ball twice to the Dhampir. Is it her agility, is it the atmosphere that seems to follow her, is it both? Is it neither? Regardless, the Dhampir lines herself up for two scoring attempts.

As is expected when neither keeper is on their respective hoops, both sides manage to score without an issue. Almost. Though both Nico and The Pierre/Alan duo manage to throw the quaffle into the appropriate hoops once, the Slytherin chaser somehow manages to miss her second throw in a rather humiliating fashion. Little would anyone in the crowd know that it was a sudden feeling of terror that caused this mistake, one that washed away as soon as it arrived.

Not many individual players are left on the field, meaning that not many players can be spared to go on the offensive. Slytherin is still throwing everything they have at the opposing seeker, however, with both Erin and Cassandra hitting a bludger directly towards her and her broom mate. Gryffindor had decided to pool its resources into defense just in time though, and both Scarlett and the Rafa/Kyle duo swoop in to deflect the bludgers. Unfortunately, both miss and are hit, sending Scarlett down towards the hard ground.
