Classes had been growing more demanding with each passing week, as if the threat of the upcoming holidays needed to keep things moving until they finally were to catch a break. They'd have to earn that break. That, coupled with broom racing and duelling and these two barely got to see one another anymore!
Alina sent Logan an owl, asking him to meet her at the Quidditch Training Pitch that morning. Arriving early as usual, she at there with a self inking quill in hand and open journal on her lap, lost in thought. She was trying to set some short term goals for herself so she didn't feel so overwhelmed with everything going on right now but where did she even begin to start?
Next to her was another piece of parchment in which she wrote: if you could have anything in the world, what would you want? and some of your favorite things written upon it. Her plan was to ask some of those closest to her those two questions and she would record down their answers. Maybe the answers could provide themselves useful in the near future.
For November, it was a rather mild day and she welcomed the breeze that finally was starting to send the leaves of the trees on their downward spiral to the ground.

Naturally, Zarcovichs tend to behave like vampires when it comes to being woken up prematurely. Logan's hair was messy, more correctly, messier than usual. His skin was freakishly pale. And he scowled when he looked at the sun.
He was in his dorm when an owl flew in through the wind with a letter from Alina. It said that he should come to the quidditch training pitch.
He didn't even bother to pack anything. He just took a shower, brushed his teeth, change his clothes, said hi to the fat lady in the painting and walked through the corridors on his way to the training pitch.
He didn't know why she told him to go to the pitch but he hoped it would turn out like the covered bridge catastrophe.
As he walked out of the castle, a calm breeze welcomed him. He spotted the pitch from afar and immediately, he picked up speed and ran to it.
Once he got there, he found the brown haired girl that had summomed him.He said in his best medieval accent while giving a bow. After watching a buttload of Shakespeare plays his sister dragged him to when it was her turn to babysit, he couldn't not do it."I have arrived, m'lady.""Why hast thou summoned me, this blissful morning?"

She hadn't heard his footsteps approaching but she heard his words and knew the voice well. Alina lowered the book she was writing in and looked up to him with a smile and didn't hesitate to leave it where it rested while she got up.
Too long it had been since she really got to see him. The other day she saw him passing in the corridors but they both were heading from one class to the other and really couldn't manage anything more than a wave.
Alina threw her arms around him and held onto him tightly, so glad to feel his warmth again. She held him close to her, squeezing him although with her weakness he might not have even noticed. "It's been awhile," she told him, indicating that she had missed him.
Pulling back, she noticed the extremely messy hair but smiled because it wasn't something she really cared about but it did beg to be touched and so she ran her hand through it to no avail at getting it any better than it was. "So come. Sit. Tell me how you've been." She led him back over to where the stands were for the training pitch and the two could sit down and talk awhile. She wanted to both catch up and also get the answers to her questions.

Alina was right. It had been a long time since they had spent time together. He didn't even know many current events in her life.He said as he sat down next to her. He didn't know where to start, so he just went with the most obvious: his sports life."Huh, I guess I do need to give you a crash course in my life"It was true. Most Durmstrangs on the track were flirting with Hogwarts girls. Plus, one of them attempted to shot him with the knockback jinx when they were in the air."I got on the racing team. Some senior gryffindor girl gave me a Nimbus 1001 as a gift. And I just realized that durmstrang guys are a bunch of flirtatious douchebags.""I hung out with Damion at that ice cream shop over at Diagon Alley. He was supposed to go to the ball with Serena Bowen but strangely neither showed up."He said as he used his hand to rub the back of his head. He looked back at Alina before said,"It turns out that not much as been happening in my life. Just magic, studying, and racing.""What about you? What's been going on in your life? I'm sure it's more interesting than mine."

"I assure you, not more interesting," she laughed. She had her duel in which she lost and spent two nights in the Hospital Wing thereafter. She had a father who was MIA. She had a sister that didn't write often. Her grades were slipping.
"I'm just...trying to get through this term," she said. Holidays were coming up and almost everyone was talking about whether they were staying at Hogwarts or going home. Truthfully, Alina didn't know. It seemed her twin sister wanted to stay at Beauxbatons for their holiday festivities so therefore she really didn't know if anyone would be waiting for her when she got there.
"And I'm trying to get some ideas for my gifts this year," she said and went to get the list. She had a few of her best friends names on there too that she'd have to scout them out and see what they'd want. "I was hoping you'd tell me if you had one wish, what would it be...and tell me some of your favorite things. Initially I thought about getting you a broomstick so you could practice quiddith and use for racing but I went to your race and you had a pretty decent one," it wasn't a school one. She didn't know a huge amount about broomsticks but she knew that.
