"Oh no-" Goodness how did a spell fail like that. Thankfully, Lea was able to dodge even Frost's spell with ease. The redhead let out a sigh of relief, a hand over her heart. Looking over to a still dancing Zyk, it seemed he was taking this time to focus on dodging and not casting. It was indeed a smart move, but would end up just making this duel longer than it had to.

Still grossly wiping away snot and sneezing every few moments, Frost's cold seemed to be getting progressively worse. Silently, she hoped this would end just a little faster so she could change and be rid of this. Her state was grossing her out by the second, not to mention other people were watching her like this as well.

If it got to be too much, that healing spell seemed to help a little. But still she wished. "Ack- Achoo!"

This first-year must have liked his dance moves. Once again he hadn't managed to dodge the dancing-feet spell and he just went with the flow of the encounter thus far, to continue dancing while weaving throughout the arenas area. A smile lit across his features as he just had fun with it, thankfully, he didn't have to worry about a teammate any longer and even nearly stepped on the passed out third-year that was on the ground, "Oops," he mumbled after nearly stumbling over the creature.

Regardless, something needed to change for a moment and he just danced around once more before shifting his focus back upon the duo of badgers across the room from him. Those golden eyes watched as he twirled the actions of the others and he did his best to try and strategize the idea of what he should try and accomplish at this point.

@Zykeal Lane had finally stopped his dancing dodge to go on the offensive. His Incendio Duo was quite powerful—alas, his fancy feet and @Lea Hirsch's quick reaction rendered the spell useless, fizzling out harmlessly behind the First Year Hufflepuff.

On the other hand, Lea was fairing far better. Her spell was especially strong this time around, blasting out of her wand at a wicked pace, and an odd sense of calm radiating off of @Frost Cira helped her aim—the spell hit right into Zykeal, sending the Gryffindor into yet another jig, this one looking significantly more painful.

Frost, despite her runny nose, managed to hit the flailing Zykeal with a Flipendo of her own. It sent him back a few steps, but he remained on his feet. Still, after the continuous dancing and repeated assaults, the boy was looking a little worse for wear.

This duel takes place in the morning slot.

Once again, this system was failing him. There wasn't even a chance he'd be able to land a spell in this entire session of the contest. With his spell being grandiose in nature, it missed somehow once again and his lack of dodging for the one time he needed a spell to succeed had failed him. Unfortunately, it was at this time that a jinx had hit him as well as the first-year repeating the same spell once again upon him. This is where Zykeal was the most frustrated, as he was knocked back by the fourth-year girl.

Frustrated was an understatement, to rely upon someone he didn't know, actually loathed as his partner made no sense to him. A duel wasn't some team contest, it was a face-off with another wizard, and these boring rules that were required only hindered him as a capable wizard. There was no skill involved in this, no strategy, pure luck on if a spell hit between four targets. What an absurd notion this contest turned out to be for him. Regardless, he was determined to at least land one spell and he slowly pushed himself up into a sitting position as his legs dangled about. Figuring his still position was enough for him to try and land an accurate cast for once.

She was getting a little more used to dodging spells. It required some focus, but more speed and agility- focusing on where the spell was headed and the agility and speed to get out of the way in time. So far the strategy had worked, dodging out of the way before flames could nip at her robes. Since the strategy had yet to fail on either side, the first year cast the Dancing-Feet Spell once more. Perhaps the repetition had made a difference- Lea could feel the extra force of the spell as it left her wand. Perhaps not much of a change, but it was a nice boost of confidence. While not entirely aware of it, just having Frost besides her was helping with maintaining focus and aiming accurately. Her hand would pause by her side for a moment, before raising once more.

Her younger Hufflepuff teammate had been doing a bit better than poor Frost and Zyk at the moment. Their Gryffindor opponent cursed in a long lasting dance and the older girl becoming more and more of a mess each moment. Of course, she was glad Lea was doing so well at casting and that she was equally as good at dodging. Perhaps the winning factor of their duel could be Lea, like a secret weapon.

It seemed as though Zykeal had gone back to the offensive route, casting powerful flames at Lea. Huffle’s were quite good at catching aflame after all. This time around, Frost and Lea’s spells both hit the remaining Gryffindor. In her mind, Frost hoped they could go on with their good luck.

@Zykeal Lane finally had luck on his side. He managed to get his limbs under control and cast a wicked Incendio Duo at the Hufflepuff First Year. Although @Lea Hirsch had done well before now, she must be getting tired because even she couldn't avoid the beam of light. The sleeve of her robes burst into flames as the spell fizzled out.

Luckily, she managed to cast a returning Tarantallegra through the blaze, the spell hitting Zykeal as perfectly as it had before. The fatigue was probably setting in by now, but at least he didn't have to dodge an incoming spell from @Frost Cira because the Fourth Year had taken the opportunity to heal herself. She would feel the cold clear just a little, vision focusing again to see the dancing Gryffindor still hanging on. Seems this duel wasn't over yet.

The luck had changed slightly. The spell had gone unnoticed until too late, and while the young hufflepuff did try to move out of the way, it proved ineffective. Her robes were now on fire- not a pleasant experience. It didn't seem to deter her focus, though, as her spell still managed to be on target. Frost had decided to heal themself- understandable and useful considering the cold the fourth year had been dealing with for quite some time. Brown eyes would switch between the gryffindor and the fire on her robes, debating which one seemed more important to focus on.

Once again, Frost fought back the cold's effects with a healing spell. But in those few moments, her younger teammate had been hit with a burst of flames. Ironic, knowing the history of Hufflepuffs and fire, along with their team name. Flames and Huffles did not mix well, but seemed to be together all too often.

"Oh no, Lea!" Hopefully, Lea's first duel would not have to end in flames and a trip to the Hospital Wing.
