Verla gasped at Fina as she suddenly appeared. She had noticed she had been crying, since she had experience with that herself. She nodded and suggested that they could go to the lake since everyone else was eating. She stood up and began to walk with Fina. She was somewhat confused how she said she could've had part in it somehow, but maybe that could explain her thoughts earlier.

She hoped nothing bad would happen, it was the safe side of the forest by the lake, hopefully the mermaids weren't active at night, in fact, the opposite. The last thing her parents needed was to be told that she was eaten by mermaids thanks to horsing around by the dock with an open-mind. It was the last thing she needed. Olive tried to run after them as they walked, she stopped, turned around and grabbed him then rushed up with Fina as she kept walking. "I'm sorry." she whispered to him. He pouted, but she didn't have the time. She put him in her hood and walked out the main gates. She giggled softly as she thought of her story playing in the fire. Her story was about her playing with some of the kids here at school, and she was just laughing and having a good time. She hoped one day that maybe it would eventually come true.

Skyla started to panic when that just happened, she wanted to follow and see what was wrong ,as she had missed the incident with the common room, but didn't want to press on them, they clearly wanted to talk alone
"I hope there both okay..." she mumbled sadly, she didn't want anyone to be upset, especially now of all places.she sighed ,they must have gone outside, and to be honest, skyla was to afraid to do anything at this point,so let it go ,hoping they would be okay, she guessed she would ask next time she saw them, hoping it wouldn't come of as weird...
'You bloody moron..' she thought to herself, she didn't want to stand by and do nothing ..but she didn't have much of a choice ,she didn't want to bother them when they wanted to be alone .maybe they'd come back later anyway, there wasn't anything needed to be done in a hurry...she hop-actually,it was more of a lie she told herself.to keep from panicking infront of so many people ,
"Man..I need to go..." she wasn't eating anyway,so she quickly hurried out, grabbing her sketchbook and going to the dorm to get a break, taking looks back to make sure nobody followed her.she made a mental note to go back later, though.

Sarafina talked with Verla as they walked out of the hall and away from the Hufflepuff table.
“I don’t know what’s happening, but it wasn’t completely you with the fire. You created the pictures, but then it popped scaring me. When I jumped I somehow made the fire go out. I just thought about it for a split second and it happened. I feel like we should tell someone, but who knows what they’ll think? it could be a disaster for us or it could help us. The others in the common room probably won’t care as much because they’re our friends, but there are people out there who would be rude about it. So I say if we tell someone we tell the head of Hufflepuff or a teacher or someone. If word gets out through the students thugs will be a lot worse. I don’t want you having to deal with people being rude about it. If somehow they find out and it causes issues to come up with people, just tell me and I’ll be there to defend you. But also we should figure out a way to control it, or do any studying we can on it.” She finished and looked a Verla hopefully. She was pretty sure they could make it through this if they stayed together.

Verla didn't know what to do. She wanted her decision to be positive for the both of them. Things would be better and maybe worse if they told a teacher or the headmaster. She knew they had to stick together, and they had to do something about what had happened. Looking at Fina, she smiled "I'm glad we're friends" she said and gave careful thought. "we don't know our teachers yet, we don't know if we can trust them, if they'll do anything or not. I say we go straight to the head master Fina, that way he doesn't need to hear it from anyone else or get the story wrong. He'll know what to do." she stated.

She knew that she made a good friend, maybe the headmaster would be able to help them both, and she also hoped the ministry didn't have to get involved. Which reminded her, she'd never been to the Ministry of Magic, she had been meaning to visit there, though she had no actual reason to.

Oliver looked nervous around Verla now, and she become worried. She stopped walking and duck down past the corridor and by a corner with him in her hands. She talked to him quietly "I'm not gonna hurt you" pause "I know your nervous but I didn't ask for this" pause "yes we're figuring out what to do" pause "Stick it in the pouch Oliver" she said and stuffed him back in.

Sarafina thought that it was a good idea to take it to the headmaster. She was nervous, and didn’t exactly know what she was going to say once they got there. She was horrible at talking to adults. She nodded.
“Okay. What exactly are we going to say? We can’t just go up and say ‘hey, we were in the common room and accidentally controlled fire with our minds’. We should introduce ourselves and go from there.” This was going to be hard. They both seemed to not like talking to people and that was what they really needed to do at the moment. It could be a serious thing so they had to do something. She waited a moment as Verla went around the corner with Oliver. She heard whispering, but looked elsewhere, trying hard not to listen to anything she was saying. She came back with Oliver and Sarafina smiled nervously. “Shall we go to the headmaster’s office?” She asked. “We should get it over with. We don’t have much time anyway if we want to do something. I hope the others in the common room haven’t said anything about it. I trust them, but just in case we should probably get going.”

Verla nodded to her when she came from around the corner with Oliver "sure, unless if you want to wait. We can if you want, I kind of want too. I want to know if this is something we can control ourselves, plus we need to know if people in the common room have said or suggested anything, once that is over, then maybe we could wait. I also think maybe we could wait until what we can do hurts or damages anything, it could just be a friendly fire thing, right?" She asked. Maybe Fina was right and she was just insane, though she remembered that she didn't want the ministry to get involved.

Oliver began kicking her for thinking of waiting. It was so cute that it began to tickle and she let out a giggle and explained what Oliver was doing. She wanted to wrap an arm around her new, maybe best friend, but she refrained given the situation, plus, it was kind of early to tell if she would be comfortable or not. She thought of what her father would do. Then she nodded with a determined look "let's go, never mind" she said, and began walking to his office.

Elysia stared around at the Great Hall for a brief moment before turning her attention back to the golden plate before her. It seemed ages since she had last eaten, and now she was going to make up for lost time by trying everything around her. She grabbed three pieces of chicken, some corn on the cob, a bit of shepherd's pie, and a ham sandwich and stuffed them all on the plate before chowing down on a drumstick. She knew she probably looked like a complete hog, stuffing everything she could in her mouth, but at that point in time, she really didn't care. A loud laugh from over at the next table startled her; she looked up in time to see a couple of other students throwing food at each other. Elysia frowned. If there was one thing she hated, it was to see good food going to waste.

Her thoughts wandered as she chewed on another piece of chicken. I wonder what Mum and Dad are doing right now, or if Mum's even home. She was supposed to be on call tonight, I think. Hopefully she didn't have to go to work tonight; it was such a dreadfully rainy day. Then an image of her puppy, Imago, filled her mind. She already missed him. It seemed like forever before she'd be home for the Christmas holidays and she could see him again. A sigh escaped her lips. It was best not to think too much about it; classes began the next day, and she couldn't afford any distractions.

Nora, like always, arrived late to anything remotely exciting or shocking. The murmurs and looks of high alert across the room where her Ravenclaw friends were confused her, making her wonder what had even happened? She heard the name of her fellow dormmate Eri being thrown around along with people speaking of a “spell gone wrong.” Nora honestly didn’t understand what was going on, so she mentally decided to ask Eri what had happened later.

Looking around, Nora chose a relatively empty area of the table to sit at. As outgoing as she may be, she had always been nervous to approach people. With animals, she was completely fine in handling, but humans? That was a whole other matter in itself. So instead of conversing with who she could, she sat down and let her thoughts stray.

Nora did this quite a lot when it came to socialization, she’d be perfectly cabale one minute and be so far gone the next, she couldn’t even formulate words. It had always been a weakness of hers, and her brothers always tried to help in any way they could. She adored her brothers for that, always helping others.

She calmly ate at her sugar bun, not expecting anyone to come up to her. Her drifting thoughts now had a price though, the young Ravenclaw accidentally seated herself at the Hufflepuff table, unaware she was in the wrong house table.

“I never asked to be here...I never asked to be made.”

Elysia spotted another student sitting off by herself at the Hufflepuff table. Ordinarily she wouldn't have given it another thought, except that the girl was wearing blue...a Ravenclaw. She tapped the Ravenclaw on the shoulder and smiled at her encouragingly.

"I think you might have gotten a bit mixed up there." she said, nodding over to the Ravenclaw table. "That's the table you want to go to. This is the Hufflepuff table. Oh, my name is Elysia, by the way. Elysia Durwood. "

With another smile at the other first-year, Elysia reached over and grabbed another hunk of roast beef, piling it on her plate along with a couple of pieces of chicken. She had no sooner finished eating all of this when the desserts suddenly appeared on the tables. Her eyes widened as she took in the various pies, treacle tart, ice cream, and other dessert items. Unable to decide what to try first, she grabbed a little of everything.

It didn't take long before she was leaning away from the table, feeling quite full and sleepy. All she wanted to do at that point was head off to the dormitory and fall into bed, resting up for a busy day of classes the next day.

It took Nora’s few seconds to process what Elysia has said, confusing her for a second. She looked around and noticed all the students around her wearing yellow, and her face reddened in embarrassment. “Really,” she thought to herself, “you had to sit down at the wrong table?

Nora’s confidence lessened a bit, but it was nothing she couldn’t handle. Sitting at the wrong table was probably common, wasn’t it? She had seen a Gryffindor go sit with the Slytherins by pure accident. It was one of her first days of many, and it was ok to make a silly mistake at least once at the start of her time at the school.

She smiled and stood up facing the girl, her face having slightly recovered,” I’m Nora Selnius. Thanks for telling me about this, I hadn’t even noticed I had sat down at the wrong table!” She laughed nervously, amused and worried at the situation.

She walked off from the table, giving a last thanks and goodbye to Elysia. Her gaze fell back to her sugar bun, and as to not repeat the same mistake twice, she looked up to make sure she was sitting at the correct table. At least from this, she would have a funny story to tell her brothers, wouldn’t she?

“I never asked to be here...I never asked to be made.”
