Being back at hogwarts was suppose to be different, feel different for Henry but instead he felt more alone and lost than ever as that summer and the days leading up to his second year had been ones that changed life forever. Henry might have told someone and felt different about this but he decided from the start to keep all of this a secrets and hidden away from everyone at hogwarts including his friends, he thought they would try and ask what the was wrong with him but he would hide away his emotions and spend much of that year as a different person, as a person who didn't have his life, who didn't live through a horrible summer, who didn't have a messed up family on his father's side and who didn't have more problems than before thanks to the Alluring's. The Alluring's, his father's family was to blame for why he felt this way and he couldn't stand it, they were no family of his probably why he was looking for answers on his mum's family instead.

As Henry walked down the nearly empty corridor, he figure everyone was at lunch which was the last place he would want to be. Surrounded by smiling and happy people all joking and chatting, and his own friends would try to laugh and talk with him. Henry ignored the thoughts as he was making his way to the caretaker's office where he had learn over the summer, belong to a caretaker that wasn't from here and even went to another wizarding school which meant he might heard his mum name before or knew something about it. As Henry continue to walk down the corridor and pass a student or two, from a outside they would see that he looks sickly and tried looking maybe even a bit pale but Henry knew that was only because that night was the night of the full moon which got Henry more anxious than usual which was saying something for he already had terrible anxiety.

From a stranger you wouldn't be able to tell what house he was in as he worse muggle clothing and carried a simple messager type bag, even through Henry liked being a Slytherin there were others with prejudiced so when ever he could he would wear muggle clothing so others won't be able to tell what house he was in unless they knew him. He also hated wearing wizarding clothing and at the moment the last thin g he would want was to feel more uncomfortable then what he already was thanks to his summer.

Henry came to the wooden door and hoped that the caretaker was inside, he hadn't even thought that he may be at the great hall. Still Henry had to be sure and if he wasn't there then he would come back later as the 12 year old boy took a deep breath and felt his anxiety loom over his head, as Henry reach his hand which was closed in a loose fist and knock on the door, before dropping both arms back to his side as he waited for a answer.

Peace and quiet. That's all that Marcus wanted today. It was the first day that the children were back in the castle, and he was hopeful that they wouldn't get up to much. Surely, he would be left alone on the one day a month when he felt the most awful. Subsisting off of coffee and crackers was miserable enough, but the headaches were probably the worst. The girl from that morning was lucky he hadn't had one when she knocked on his door, but if any more rugrats knocked, they would be lucky to not get the door slammed in their faces.

Currently, the man's headache was not as bad as it could've been, so he was dabbling in reading again. It distracted his mind from the pain, weirdly enough. Although Marcus had made several changes to the office since last semester, he had kept the books that had been left by caretakers past. Tragedies like Macbeth and Frankenstein were abundant in this room, which led him to think that his predecessors had similar tastes. Although tragedies were not his favorite thing to read, he had not brought any books of his own so these would have to do. He was only a few pages into one of the books when it happened.

A knock. Marcus' eyes snapped to the door, hoping he had misheard, but knowing that wasn't the case. He made a face, snarling slightly at the idea of having to get up and open the door. He was comfortable here in the armchair, with his coffee by his side and the cool breeze from the window. Most importantly, his headache was under control, but moving from this spot would surely make it worse. What were the chances that another student would knock on his door wanting something from him? So, it was most likely a staff member.

That last thought was the only reason Marcus now got to his feet, abandoning his book and coffee in favor of walking to the door. His headache had intensified slightly at the movement, but he did well ignoring it. When he opened the door, the man was clearly a little irked to find a student behind it - a young boy in muggle clothes. Probably a Gryffindor to be so brave as to disturb him on a day like today. Not that the students were aware of his condition or why today was the worst possible day to approach him. Still, Marcus had a less-than-pleased expression on his face as his amber eyes examined the boy.

"What is it?" he snapped, his hand tightening on the door that he held open.
Marcus' Intimidation is in effect.
It is a sentiment that enters people's hearts when they are in your presence. They feel dis-ease when you are present, even if the interaction is casual or even friendly.

The caretaker's words entered Henry's heart and it felt like a cold breeze was running down his spine as he looked up at the man who at first Henry thought seemed a bit sickly but quickly passed the thought as wherever it seemed that Henry looked into his amber eyes a cold chil entered the Slytherin's body which made him feel uneasy and tighter his grip on the scrap of his messager type bag that was resting on his shoulder. Henry then tried to speak but no words came out instead it seemed like fear had overcome to boy and he was about to run but he quickly closed his mouth and begun to breath since he had these feelings before with his anxiety, which actually when he saw the caretaker his anxiety seemed to have gotten worse.

Henry didn't mean to stare but he couldn't help as he looked behind the man a bit and saw into the office, a place he had never been before but what he didn't know yet he will soon be back and will have a closer look at the dark and crammed office. As their was a simple desk with a chair and what he saw one window that was opened to the night sky which would hold the full moon tomorrow something that Henry would come to regret as at the moment the second year had a bit to much on his mind to deal with the full moon and his transformation. Henry then saw a bookshelf which was crammed with all types of books, now that was a sight that calmed Henry a bit but just a bit as his ever looming anxiety was still working a bit to much over his head and before he struggled to look at the man in his amber eyes he noticed that the office was also covered with files probably the records of disobedient students.

The man's, caretaker amber eyes seem to be giving off an uneasy or another effect that sent shivers down the boy's spine but he still somehow found the courage to look at him in the eyes and after a few more minutes, once Henry got his anxiety under control he then spoke in a low voice " I'm s..sorry to disturb you, uh professor, sir?" Henry then thought of all his burning questions which he wanted and needed answers to just helped him deal with his anxiety and fear and for a moment he spoke, directly looking into the caretaker's eyes and with nothing but calmness in his voice " I have a few questions and I think you can answer them for me? If it's not a bother to you, Sir?"

Henry didn't smile but kept a blank face as his anxiety and fear slowly crept up the Slytherin's face and now so plainly seem in his eyes, the sense of face that is to the person who had a keen sense of vision since he looked so sickly and tried looking and even a bit pale that the common person or someone who didn't know he was a werewolf who just guess that he was just plainly sickened. Henry however started to have his head filled with pro and cons from his anxiety as he waited, patiently for the man to answer him.

The young boy seemed speechless, and Marcus quirked his eyebrow as he awaited an answer. When the boy's eyes fell and looked into the office, Marcus was itching to slam the door in his face. The only thing that stopped him from doing so was the slight look of panic on the boy's face. He honestly looked like he might be sick at any moment. Shouldn't he go to the Hospital Wing if he wasn't feeling well? There was a new nurse that could take care of him much better than Marcus could.

Finally, the boy spoke and apologized for disturbing him. Marcus did not react to the apology, finding it a bit weak. He continued waiting for an explanation as to why he had been disturbed, not really caring if the boy was sorry about it or not. Marcus patience was wearing extremely thin as the boy struggled to collect his thoughts.

Then finally, the kid talked about having questions and thinking Marcus had the answers. The grown man could not hold back a slight growl beneath his breath. Why was he being approached twice in one day, expected to answer the questions of kids he was not responsible for. This was not part of his job description. Especially not today.

Marcus stepped back, opening the door wider and essentially inviting the boy into the office. "Come on, then. Make it quick," he said, irritation still evident in his voice. As soon as the boy stepped inside, Marcus practically slammed the door behind him then walked back over to his comfy chair by the window. He took another deep drink of his coffee, feeling his oncoming headache fade slightly at the presence of caffeine. Marcus stood looking out the window for a moment with coffee in hand, trying to calm himself so he would have the patience to deal with the child who stood behind him.

After a minute or two, Marcus finally turned back to the kid. "What's the question?" Although he was standing right next to the comfy chair by the window, he did not sit. Standing was a way to command respect and he did not want to appear any weaker than he already felt.

Hearing the caretaker's voice, Henry felt himself grip his messager type bag as he took.a few shakey steps inside as if he was about to fall, he thought he gained some confidence or at least bravery from last year then why did he feel so nervous or anxious. There had to be something else going on or another feeling or just some other factor to explain why Henry was feeling this way, he couldn't explain it or put his finger on it but the geeky and know it all boy was working overtime to figure it out.

However when the door slammed shut behind him that was when he was pulled away from his thoughts and almost fell over from the sound, pathetic Henry really... just try to relax and don't act like such a idiot for once in your life," Henry straighten up and took a breath or two before pushing on his worries and fears and nerves away so he didn't look anxious or worried even though he still felt it. The only thing he did look was sickly, tried, and a bit pale but that was the effect of the full moon being not only a day away nothing that Henry could do to hide that as he spoke calmly " thank you sir, I promise I won't take up to much of your time."

Henry watched the man cross to his desk, to pick up a coffee cup. Henry started to compose his thoughts and anxiety as he saw the man almost look out the window in a strange way, strange... what no stop it Henry! Don't stare or anything just focus on the task at hand, Henry took a breath and begun to compose his thoughts again before saying " sir I heard that you didn't go to Hogwarts? That you went to another school, right?" By heard, Henry meant he heard rumours throughout the halls of Hogwarts and while he didn't believe or listen to them as he preferred to read books which gave the facts, this rumour however may lead him to some information on his mum's family.

Henry tapped his left leg rather quickly as he thought about what to say before final speaking " I was wondering if at that school or in you travels or anywhere really if you heard or recognized the name Knight?"

Marcus went to take another sip of his coffee as the boy spoke, but he paused at the content of his words. He'd heard that, had he? It was not hard to guess that Marcus did not attend Hogwarts. Of course there had been rumors that he did not - his accent usually being the hint, considering the Australian in it was hard to hide beneath the slight English tones - and he had never denied such rumors. If anyone asked, he would tell them. It was not a secret.

"That is correct," Marcus said in response to the boy. "I attended Mahoutokoro in Japan." After revealing this information, he took his sip of coffee and felt a bit calmer. He wondered why exactly the boy wanted this information. Was the upcoming question going to be personal to Marcus in some way? He couldn't imagine that it would be, considering he had no clue who this boy was. And theoretically, the boy had no clue about Marcus or his past. No one should.

But then the boy asked about the Knight family. Marcus' brain instantly recognized the name, but not for the reason the boy was hoping for. His amber eyes narrowed slightly at the boy, "Is that your name? Knight?"

When the boy confirmed, Marcus frowned considerably. He was recalling his visitor from that morning. Her last name was also Knight, and she was young and dark-haired. What were they, siblings? What kind of game were they playing at? Both visiting him within hours of each other, as if they didn't talk between now and then. Did this boy think Marcus had been holding out on his morning visitor? That he had more insight to share about the Knight family beyond what he had already told her?

"Well, this is ridiculous," Marcus said, his look getting harder. "I don't know why you thought I would give you more information than I gave her, but I suggest you go to the library if you want more," he explained, before walking over to his door and reopening it. "I don't know the Knight family, and I'd like to be alone now," he said, clearly indicating that it was time for this kid to leave.

"Is that your name? Knight?"

Henry wasn't suspecting the reaction, he felt himself tighten the grip on his messager type bag as he saw the caretaker's amber eyes narrow at him as the words that somehow Henry dreaded came from his lips. Does he recognized the name? Did I do or say something wrong? Is someone with the name on the wrong side with him? Did I just make a enemy out him just because of my name?

" uh yes sir, my name is Knight. Uh Henry Knight," Henry found himself saying in a calm voice as he hid away his fears and worries even through they were vastly present at the sudden moment of tension. Henry hoped his thoughts weren't true, he hoped that he was overthinking the situation and maybe all of this was just in his head.

It wasn't.

In fact it was worse then he thought with each word that the man said although there was one that he focused on; her.

Her! Wait a second who that girl last year? Ugh think Henry! Wait a minute, Ileen... Ileen Knight! That girl who I met last year in the common room, who went off at me for having the same name as her and not knowing my family... that girl screamed at me then and now ruined my chance to get information from the caretaker! You got to be kidding me, I do my best to avoid her since she doesn't want to see me and she ruins my investigation on my own family! Ugh.... there is no way I'm letting this go and she won't get away with this not to mention might have disrespected him since he seems pretty angry at me now that he knows the name.

Henry noticed he was at the door and asking him to leave however lost in his train of thought must have missed his words and didn't care as he spoke " I'm sorry sir if I offended or disrespected you in any way but I didn't talk to anyone before I came to see you tonight and I didn't know that someone else came asking these questions," he turned to face the man still hiding his fears and worries as he spoke with a respectful manner, " is the her you speak of; Ileen Knight sir? Well I'm afraid to tell you but we aren't related nor friends, actually I have unfortunately found out that she can be quite rash really and even through it's none of my business. I also apologize for anything she said and if she disrespected you in any way sir."

Henry thought if he acted respectful and kind toward the caretaker than maybe he would tell him what he told Ileen and maybe he would have a leg up against Ileen. If the caretaker liked him over her then he could get his sweet revenge on the girl for almost or still probably ruining his chance on knowing any information about the Knight family.

Henry stepped a bit closer to the door and even through he didn't want to leave, he also didn't want to upset the man further so instead he would say " sir only if you would mind, could you tell me what you told Ileen please? I don't talk to her so I would have no way of knowing what you told her?" Henry then straightened his back to make himself appear taller as he spoke again with a respectful manner and voice, " If you prefer not to answer my question through sir I could leave like you ask since I feel terrible that you had to put up with me and another today."

Henry Knight. Good to know his full name so he could keep an eye on him in future. As he made his way over to the office door and held it open for the child to exit through, Marcus was observing and trying to find a correlation between the boy and the girl from earlier. He didn't know what he expected to notice, though. They must be related - it was the only explanation for the fact of them visiting so closely and with the same last name. But it's not like he could tell if they had the same eyes or nose.

The boy's apologies were falling on irritated ears. Marcus didn't care to hear excuses - he just wanted the kid to leave. However, his attention was recaptured slightly when Henry revealed that the two (he and the girl from earlier, Ileen) were in fact not related. It meant Marcus was wrong in his assumption, but they did know of each other. Interesting. But not interesting enough for Marcus to want to continue to talk.

This boy was starting to sound like a kiss-up with the way he was apologizing for someone else's actions and trying to be overly polite. He wouldn't know this, but Marcus preferred people who got straight to the point rather than beating around it and covering everything in sugar. Particularly in children, when they clearly had ulterior motives behind their requests. And particularly when he had a returning headache and had no desire to stretch out the conversation. He was rather irritable today. He was not used to having to deal with people during his worst moon sickness day. That wasn't Henry's fault, but Marcus was annoyed with him regardless.

At least the girl from earlier had not pretended to be having a lovely time when it was clear Marcus was not a good person to be around today. In truth, she probably assumed he was like this every day, but he would not care to correct her. It meant less people around to bother him on his good days.

"I already told you what I told her - I know nothing of the Knight family," Marcus said, the exasperation in his voice very evident. "Please get out and go to the library or something," he added. The man was standing by the door and holding it open, ready to shut it firmly as soon as the young boy crossed the threshold.

Henry felt himself shiver at the man slightly as a strange tingling sensation crawl up his spine and an usual chil covered his arms which made his hair stand on ends upon hearing the caretakers words.

The twelve year old couldn't extractly say why he was feeling this way except the only two possible answers that he had come up with was either Henry was fearful of the caretaker standing in front of him or but possibly and that his anxiety was increasing and regretting about going to that office that night to ask any questions.

Still the full moon was probably the blame which could explain his increase anxiety but also the small increased bravery that dwelled within him at the current time since the young werewolf unawarely took a small breath while taking a step forward before he spoke " I'm sorry for bothering you sir and taking up your time," taking an shakey breath and am moments pause before continuing, " just one last question. Is there a chance I could get an record from the year 1993 under the name of Ivy Knight?"

There was a chance that there was no record but Henry had a feeling there is one that is short that there was a possibility such record existed but just in case the twelve year old may need another angle. Another way to find other members of the Knights or any information on what the Knights did at Hogwarts if they had any presence at the school at all.

Thinking quick on his feet, Henry would hastily add " I could help you organize your records professor Iwasaki? You seem like you have a lot of work and esepcailly with the students probably are extremely busy so I could help you organize your records if you like sir?" Hoping the man agreed especially since if he did then he would be able to go through the records himself and keep a look out for any Knights that may appear within the records.

The boy's apology for taking up Marcus' time fell on deaf ears. At this point, the caretaker was just waiting by the door, hoping that the kid took his instructions and left.

"I can't help you with that right now," Marcus said firmly. When he had gone searching for a Knight record earlier that morning for Ileen Knight, he'd found his records a bit unorganized around that name. He really couldn't help this kid, unless he took the time now to dig through it all, which he would not. He wasn't feeling well enough to go through sorting a bunch of files that he had sorted already.

"And I'm perfectly capable of handling my own work, I certainly don't need an assistant on the first day of school," Marcus added, his voice much colder now at the implication of needing someone to help. This boy was grating more and more on his nerves. "In fact, I need to get back to it, so you do need to go," the caretaker said, gesturing once again at the door he was holding open.

Marcus would not accept any more delay in the boy leaving, so as soon as Mr Knight crossed the threshold of the office, the caretaker would shut the door firmly. He would give a breath of relief at the sudden quiet in his office, then return to his armchair by the window and the coffee that would help ease his headache. He hoped that boy and the girl from that morning would not be repeat visitors of his.
