_That...Mine is- Eva, are you..._Rosie was about to ask if Eva was joking, but it seemed like a bad idea. They were starting to hit it off, but Rosie was yet not aware of the boundaries, asking if it was a joke could be badly interpreted since it would recall the last meeting they had. _You won't believe but mine is also cherry wood!_She laughed while shrugging the thought of how she could once have interpreted the similarities between her and Eva as a weird thing. It was actually...Impressive. Maybe they could indeed come to captivate one another. Being too similar to someone can bring both a lot of joy and conflict, it would be a thing to discover in the fragments of difference their lives had. _It's a unicorn hair core. I have a feeling it suits me, not like I planned a type of wand for me. Always found dragon heartstring super cool tho._ It was a fact that dragon heartstrings were hard to be tamed but so powerful it could be dangerous for wizards with lack of self-control and discipline.
She had a glimpse of her and Eva; walking in the hallways, even if they are from different houses, she couldn't see them being an important factor now, she simply visualized her and Eva, in the future, going from divination to magic creatures, Eva helping Rosie who would totally be scared of any sudden movement near her, and Rosie helping the redhead in the magic of divination while both hold a passive aggressive healthy competition in astronomy lessons.
And while she organized her notes after reading the first four paragraphs and the water bottle was finished she decided to also open an apple and start to eat while pulling out small arrows for observations, some things she was not being particularly good at connecting that looking into a timeline would help.
_I am, annoyed, you know, not proud of what happened. I was a bad comrade. I saw your house first. Not that I see the slytherins in a bad way, just assumed it was a natural trait I wasn't even thinking clearly of what could mean to you, so I, apologize._ Maybe sometimes thinking about the signals and clues as if the world is a puzzle can get you to be a little bit strict - while also alienated - in patterns, stereotypes and rules. Rules don't always apply.

"Woah. This is kind of weird. Mine is also unicorn hair core.." Eva gave a little laugh. She couldn't believe how similar they were turning out to be. Even down to their wands wood type and core. This seemed a little weird to Eva, but also interesting.
"Dragon heartstring core does seem cool. Phoenix feather sounds cool too." She wondered what it would be like to have a different wood type or core making up her wand. She didn't think it would change her life at all. A different core might change how her wand worked though. Eva's father had told her a little bit about wand making and how the different cores made wands different.
"It is alright. I feel that I judged you a bit harshly as well. It's hard not to judge when your feeling judged, so, I'm sorry." Eva had thoughts about what had happened last time they met in the back of her mind as soon as she had seen Rosie sitting by the lake. She still felt bad about her first impression when they met back in the library, but she was slowly feeling better about things as they had been chatting. She had found it quite easy to forgive Rosie when she apologized. This was mostly because Eva also felt bad about her own actions and thoughts she had had at the time. She just hoped Rosie would forgive her as well. She was pretty sure she would, they had been getting along so well for the past several minutes.

_I say it's fair we don't ever bring this up upon ourselves then. We are not that version of ourselves anymore._and Rosie offered her pinky to Eva, a somewhat attempt of an oath. It was good Eva was apparently also regretting her actions, although Rosie thought all the fault was upon herself, after all she had started it, but maybe was a just person, the ones who like to distribute responsibilities fairly. _I guess since our wands are so similar, and...well pretty much so many things...We could study together more often?_The wind was starting to make the tree branches move and swing making foliage sounds. Rosie looked up a little alarmed. With the suspicious humidity in the air...Was it about to rain? Not entirely convinced Rosie went back to studying, starting her personal remarks on the topic. The gargoyle strike was not authorized - but how would people expect strikes to be a request? They are a right. So being called a Wildcat strike is not the best of all things but at least sounds cool, bold, even if workers are unionised the emergencies of a demand for better conditions should happen first, without bureaucracy, and then the union could come along to help the on-going process. I mean they were winning, they could have won. Hum....
_I'm irish too by the way. I noticed your accent, you're probably not from Ireland tho, right? I grew up in England but perhaps you have eaten Willew soda breads. You can feel free to talk more, I guess i might miss the irish accent._

"Yeah." Eva returned her pinky to Rosies offer. This lifted Eva's spirits a bit. She was glad they could put it behind them. "Yeah, I think that would be cool..to study together."
Eva had switched back to an astronomy book. She felt the winds pick up a bit, blowing her hair in front of her eyes. She pushed her hair back, away from her face and continued reading. She did look up for a second though. Maybe it will start raining. She thought, looking up at the cloudy sky. "I know you said you like rainy days, so, what is it that you like about rain?" Eva asked. "I mostly like rain because of the sound and the smell." She said before Rosie answered, answering her own question.
"Actually, yeah, I am from Ireland. Wexford Ireland, to be more exact." Eva said, smiling. "Em...yeah, I'm pretty sure I've had Willew soda breads before." Eva knew her mother bought soda bread often, and even sometimes made her own, but she didn't really pay attention to who it was made from. She remembered a time when she was younger, her mother had gone on a short trip to Dublin, and came back with what she had called 'one of the best Soda Breads in Dublin'. Eva was pretty sure that was Willew bread, or that it at least had had a W on it. "What part of England did you grow up in?" Eva asked.

_Maybe my hobbies just all fit rain. The smell definitely gives a comforting feeling, might be cathartic, if the storm passes you can feel renewed, right?_Then she paused for a bit to think such a flamboyant answer could give the wrong impression. _Or maybe is just about the cold and having a nice cup of hot tea by the window._ So Eva was from Wexford, Rosie never went there, and if she had she wouldn't have remembered. Her grandma would assure she was Irish but Rosie didn't feel like one. _So glad you had. Next time I write a letter I'll tell Grandma Ersia I met a slytherin that has eaten our bread. She was a slytherin by the way._Rosie winked at that. She did have a feeling she would end up being friends with a majority of slytherins. No particular reason why. Perhaps i'm too moved by intuition?
_Oh I mostly just ever stayed in London. Rarely, maybe only two, three times in vacations I left to go to Cornwall or something. Your parents are slytherin too?_ Usually is a safe bet that pure blood wizards end up in the same house as their parents. In 76% of the cases at least. Rosie had a friend that did exactly the opposite but still, safe bet. Aha, I'm also moved by analysis.

"Yeah, I guess." Eva had never thought of rain as a renewing sort of thing. She agreed it could give a comforting kind of feeling though, if the rain wasn't too intense.
"Oh, thats cool." So Rosie had a Slytherin family member. That was interesting. "No, my father was in Ravenclaw and my mother was in Hufflepuff. Were both of your parents in Ravenclaw?" It was usually normal for wizards and witches to be sorted into the same houses as parents or other family members, right? Eva just guessed there was some special with her, where she didn't get sorted into the same house as her mother or father. Maybe one of her grandparents or great grandparents on her dads side had been in slytherin. She would have to ask her father.
Eva had closed her astronomy book and finished the rest of her water, when she thought felt something wet hit her face. She looked up at the cloudy sky. Had it started raining, or had she just imagined that? Then she thought she felt another water drop hit her face. "Does it feel like it's raining to you, or am I just imagining things?" She hoped she wasn't going crazy, imagining water drops hitting her face, though she doubted she was imagining it. Eva began putting a few of her books into the bag she had brought, to protect them from the rain. If it really had started raining.

A Raven father and a Badger mother, interesting. Rosie's eyebrows couldn't help to go up, that was kind of weird, worse than that would be if both her parents were Lions, but at least it did not seem as if being a Snake was an issue in her house. Or maybe it is but is not of your business.
I mean, for Cade, her other friend, his dad was a slytherin and his mom a hufflepuff, it made sense he was in Ravenclaw, it suited him even with his parents, although if you separate some specific values of both you could create a Raven. What could have led to Eva being a slytherin? Raven and badger, where could she have embraced that snake severity ambition. Hey! Stop that with the stereotypes!
_So interesting...I take that your parents are okay with it. My mom was a raven, my father...I- I wouldn't know. But nevermind that, in my house things are diverse, my aunt was a hufflepuff. I bet each of them were rooting for me in their houses. But now I feel that my heart's choice has always been Ravenclaw. Maybe I was cautious to wait for it. The hat told me to-_ Rosie was about to tell Evergood about how the hat made her see how sometimes we wish not what we need but what we want, and also felt a drip of water in her scalp. Looked up and immediately a water drop hit her cheek. _I guess It is! Quick, help me fold the blanket._And Rosie closed her books, starting to frantically organize how to easily carry the books with the bottles when a thunder stroke and the rain started falling heavily. _oH! Forget the folding, let's use it as a cape for us and the books!_And proceeded to open and expand the blanket to cover her and Eva. _I'll hold one side, you hold the other, and on the other hand we get the books. On three we run as fast as we can. _And the bottles were all smashed into her backpack. _Ready, one, two...THREE!_
They were a little more similar everytime they discovered something about each other. Rosie wondered how come Eva was not a Ravenclaw.

Mother in Ravenclaw, and... she didn't know what her fathers house was. Why doesn't she know? Eva thought, but she didn't ask this aloud. As Rosie was talking, she was cut off by a few more water droplets falling. Eva looked up, and a drop of water hit her forehead. So it was starting to rain. She hadn't imagined it. They needed to start packing up. Then suddenly, thunder crashed through the air, and the rain started falling harder.
"Yeah, both of my parents seem ok with it. I sent them a letter as soon as I could after the sorting. Ever since I got my hogwarts letter they told me they would be proud, what ever house I was sorted into, but I was still shocked when I got into Slytherin."
Eva had said all this quickly, as they scurried to get everything picked up. She had only packed some her books into her bag, so she threw her bag over her shoulder, scooped the rest of her books up in one hand, and grabbed a side of the blanket with the other hand.
When Rosie counted to three, Eva held onto her books and the blanket as hard as she could, and they ran toward the school castle where they would be sheltered from the pouring rain. She could see the rain coming down in front of them as they ran. The blanket was doing an ok job at keeping them dry, but Eva could tell water was still hitting her. She held her books close to her chest, wanting to keep them as dry as she possibly could. Though they had already gotten a little wet. Someone would probably be able to get them dry again and good as new though.

They ran fast and chaotically throughout camp until they reached the grounds, the courtyard and finally some shelter in the corridor that would let to some of the towers. The courtyard and corridor were both pretty much empty, so it wouldn't be a problem to collapse there. Rosie placed the blanket on the floor, it was very humid, but they could support the books as she placed the book on top of it. She proceeded to catch her breath while wiping her forearms, some part of her cheeks were also cold and she could feel that sensation from when your clothes get drops of water on them, so you wonder if you actually have to change or not. Her hair was definitely frizzy right now and she could hope to dry them later. _That was a record. At least the books are not ruined._ That escalated quickly, watching the courtyard now with those heavy drops of rain. _I am also shocked you are a slytherin. The more we talk, the more I wonder why you aren't in ravenclaw. Bet we are yet to discover where we are different. The hat knows all, but I can see why some people would feel misplaced, he knows too much._Rosie bends to breath, hands on her knees. She felt hungry. She actually didn't know if apples opened the appetite. But she would believe that yes, they do. _Should we go and get something to eat? We can talk more over tea. I'm really into sandwiches right now._And she now picked up the books from the floor. Now she could stand to carry them around walking, they could rest in the tables from the refeitory.

The two girls ran until they were safely in the shelter of a corridor that was some what empty. Panting, Eva set down her side of the blanket. She rubbed her cheeks, wiping off small water drops that had hit her face. Her cheeks were flushed after running, and her hair was frizzing up from the humidity, but she was smiling all the same.
"Whew, we made it." The rain seemed to be pouring down harder than before now. "Yeah, I still wonder why I was sorted into Slytherin sometimes as well. Maybe the hat must of seen some sort of ambition in me. He does seem to know a lot, doesn't he." Eva agreed. They would find differences between them eventually. They couldn't be exactly the same.
"Ok, sure, lets get something to eat. Sandwiches and tea sounds good." The apple didn't fill Eva up too much, and sandwiches and warm tea sounded nice. It would also give them more time to talk.
Eva crouched down to put the books that she had been holding in her arms, into her bag, and then swung the bag over her shoulder. She was finally catching her breath as she picked up her bag. With the rain still coming down outside, Eva stood up and turned to face Rosie. "Ok, lets go."
