"Yeah your right, I was reading the book I had gotten, and it sounded like you beat on a drum to the rhythm of Helga Hufflepuff, but really I have no idea! We probably should! Plus, I've read about secret passages and hidden rooms! All sorts of stuff! Wouldnt it be cool to find those?" she laughed. On the inside she was really happy because she was not the only one who did not know how to get into the comment room, she knew that she was a 1st year and the only 1st years that knew how to get in were people that hade older brothers of sisters in the Hufflepuff house but it still made her really happy! She took a large gulp of butterbeer, which was one of the best drinks she had ever tried. She wondered what other strange but delicious foods and drinks they had.

Evelyn grinned when Verner asked if they could apply to be friends, "Of course she said laughing "The form is right here. Then more seriously "Of course Verner! Well maybe not entirely seriously.

"I'm disappointed we won't be able to room together. Well, you guys will, but I won't. Still, maybe I'll meet someone else. she smiled Anyways, I hope you two will get to room together. That is if you want to. Evelyn really did wish she could room with her newfound friends. However, she was a girl and they were boys. Still, she had hope that she'd meet someone else in her dorm. Or even if they weren't friends she would at least like them.

As Verner suggested they go explore she jumped up "Yes! Let's go now! Or maybe we should wait she said anxiously What if we miss how to get to out dorm and common room?

Perry knew Verner's comment probably wasn't directed at him about Verner's muggle heritage. However Perry responded. Trying not to sound annoying and irritating, he wanted to make a good and truthful impression on his friends. "Err, well I already kind of knew magic existed. I didn't get a whole lot of exposure to it, but my parents used it sometimes. I certainly didn't know Hogwarts existed, my parents never mentioned it," Perry thought to himself for a good moment, then opened his mouth once more. "Actually, now that I think about it, my parents did mention their time at Hogwarts once or twice. I guess I just have a terrible attention span."

Perry wondered about the strange yet oddly specific Common Room task. However he pushed aside his thoughts and decided that this was the time to start adventuring. He heard that Hufflepuff was focused on earth. So he had assumed it would be outside. "I'd be fine with rooming with Verner." He said, the thought had crossed his mind, and he didn't really mind in all honesty. However he was still a first year and had a lot of exploring to do.

"Well, let's go! It can't hurt to try." Perry spoke to Verner and Evelyn, as he walked towards the kitchen corridor, out of the Great Hall. His body motions looked like he was nervous, but he tried to put on a confident face. Truthfully he had no idea what he was going to do to get into the Common Room. The thought was eating him up. However he tried to keep his body language calm and collected. Eventually he rushed to the kitchen corridor.

*”Well maybe we can sneak into each other’s rooms when we know where we actually do sleep”* Verner thought aloud while scratching his chin.
He understood Evelyn’s worries, as until just recently he had wondered about his future roommates too. Now it looked as Perry would be willing to join him, so that was one thing solved.
In an encouraging voice he said *“Do not worry, I am sure you will meet somebody fine, and you always have us”* and gestured to himself and Perry.

*”But you are definitely right Evelyn,”* he continued, *”before we go into any exploration, we need to have at least some kind of basic safety net to fall back to — our dormitory”* he grinned, *”I do not want to get into trouble if I cannot hide somewhere”* Verner finished and turned to Perry.

Stretching out his hand in almost formal handshake at Perry, Verner said only one word *”Friends?”* He waited for a confirmation from Perry and returned his gaze back at Evelyn, and at Perry again and smiled.

In his mind Verner happily prepared himself for the walk to their common room and dormitories, knowing they would soon start their adventures exploring the castle’s many secrets just as Evelyn mentioned.

The dinner would probably end soon so he grabbed a couple of bites from a cake as a desert.

Evelyn had been told for years to be more careful by her older sister, Alison. Her words were continuously echoing in her mind “Think Evelyn! Think! Before you act! You’re constantly getting into trouble because you won’t think before you act So Evelyn was glad Verner suggested to wait. Besides that his idea was smart. They should know where to go in case they needed a quick escape.

She smiled at him”Thanks, glad to hear it she said in response to Cerner saying she always had them.

“We are going to have so much fun tomorrow! she exclaimed, I can’t wait As Verner extended his hand to Perry she let her thoughts drift to home. She would write her first letter home tomorrow. She had so much to tell her family and Beverly! Everything here was so different but she new she was going to love it! It would be tons of fun to learn magic and explore the castle with her new friends!

Meanwhile, she was sure dinner would be over soon so she started wrapping up her dessert. Just as she was finishing the Hufflepuff prefect started calling everyone to follow her. It was time to head to the common room and dorms! She smiled time to check out her new home!

"Err." Perry watched the hand outstretch towards him. It was a very formal approach that Perry was not at all prepared for. He glared at Verner then smiled. He shook Verner's hand, but not very fast. "Yeah, let's be friends." Perry gladly shook hands with Verner, looking ecstatic that he know had two friends already. He knew that this was going to be a good year. He then broke away from Verner and began thinking.
'I've actually found some real, decent, legitimate and alive friends. Sure they're muggles and don't know all that much about magic. But at least I've found some people who are worried or excited like me. Perhaps this isn't a terrible school, I'm just quite happy to have found some humans.' Perry was in his head, thinking a lot whilst Verner and Evelyn spoke. He thought about what they were saying and decided to speak up himself.

"Yeah, we should probably have a safety net, and do this tomorrow, well I'll be heading to the dorm room-" He said just as a prefect called upon them. He grinned, it was time to check out the common room. He followed the prefect with keen accuracy. He moseyed out of the Great Hall into the kitchen corridor. Confused on how to get into the common room which was on a right turn.

Looking around at all of the faces surrounding her, Elowen lets out a small sigh of relief, finally seeming to realize that this wasn't all some sort of dream. At least she hadn't thought she was going crazy, right? Eyeing the food in front of her, her stomach growls, and she hopes that no one else heard that. Then again, how could they with the volume of the din in this room?

Smiling to herself, she decides to not worry about appearances too much right now, simply scooping up a bit each of mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and chicken. Taking up her fork, she eagerly digs in, almost moaning as the taste hit her tastebuds like a double decker bus. Ears buzzing with the conversations around her, she doesn't pay much attention, feeling way too awkward to attempt to join in. At least on the first night there, she needed a bit more time to get used to this.

But wouldn't it be awkward to at least not to say hello? Looking around, she could tell others seemed too busy already in conversations, but she'd at least try.

"Hello..I'm Elowen.." Trying to sound confident, she spoke out to no one in particular. She wouldn't dare interrupt.

Elliana sat down,she was unsure for Sorting,she looked around Hogwarts,Great hall,this was her first time at Hogwarts,she closed her eyes,and she remembered that her father was a Slytherin,and her mother was a Hufflepuff,she was very excited,she wanted to be a Slytherin or Hufflepuff,and when Sorting hat said Hufflepuff,she hear Hufflepuff name and was very happy,but a moment she thought,maybe she hear false,but at that moment she remembered that her mother said her that what you hear this isn't false,she sat down with her new friends and classmates,on the table was a lot of food,she remembered,that she mustn't eat a lot,because she must eat how much she can,she afraid,after she said "դու կարող ես Էլլիանա",which is in Armenian language,which mean "You can Elliana".After she asked a girl "What is your name?",she afraid that the girl will not answer,but the girl answered her.She was very happy for this,that girl was her first friend in the Hogwarts,she was a Hufflepuff,7th grade,then Elliana asked some questions to a lot of girls and boys,and yeah,she make a lot of wizard and witch friends,she was very excited and happy,before Hogwarts,she have only 2 witch friends,others was muggles,but know she have a lot of wizard and witch friends,pure-blood,half-blood and muggle-born,and this was her first time in the Hogwarts.

Paige beamed as she slid off the stool and headed over to the table. Cool, Hufflepuffs sound like my kind of people... wait. They are my kind of people. She waved to some people and couldn't help but smile. She say down on a seat and would sit and watch the sorting and clap for others until it was time for the feast. "wow. I mean... is that normal?" She would say to anyone who turned her way. Food. JUST APPEARED FROM NO WHERE. WOW.
She raised her eyebrows and looked at the food choices. She took some roast beef, corn, peas, green beans, and some bread. She was probably going to eat more because she had a big appetite. Probably because she used a lot of energy. The food was super good! "Wow! That is so good! Who makes the food? And how does it just appear?" She would say, turning to the person next to her. "I'm Paige, by the way. "
She knew the rules at muggle school. Seek out kids of similar interest, and don't get noticed by the mean kids. She figured she try and start on the first one. If that even applied at hogwarts.

School robes, Headband OUTFIT As Edna appears to be inactive, I slightly godmodded her to end the conversation.

The red haired first year - Edna - dove into her plate of rolls and Lucia decided that the conversation was probably over. She quickly began eating her own dinner, but had barely taken a few mouthfuls when the girl next to her spoke. Lucia inwardly cursed herself for not finding a seat with someone she knew, like Alina or Lindsey, or even Alexa, though she didn't know the other girl very well, but no. She had to seat herself in the middle of a group of first years.

"Um," Lucia said, a little taken aback by multiple questions being thrown at her at once. Which one was she supposed to answer first? "Hi." She stretched out a hand for the girl to shake, and swallowed. "Lucia, Lucia Fox." From the questions, Lucia was pretty sure that this girl - Paige - was a muggleborn. Ugh, that was annoying - she'd be so excited at seeing magic that Lucia probably wouldn't actually be able to say much. And she'd have all sorts of questions Lucia wouldn't be able to answer - growing up in the wizarding world didn't automatically make you a wizarding dictionary! "Well, the house-elves make it." Shut up! Now she'll want to know what house-elves are too! But Lucia carried on regardless, out of politeness if nothing else. "And they just appear because... magic. Duh." Okay, maybe that wasn't exactly polite.

Once he was seated, Grant blinked and glanced around, quickly spotting Rebekah since she had been seated only moments prior. To prove that in all that had happened he hadn't forgotten the last question she asked him, he grinned. "I guess that's how it works" he answered about the Hat and Sorting.

"I still don't know how it knows though", he whispered for her or really anyone's hearing, near enough to him and glanced back to watch the next set of kids continue to be sorted, before turning back to her and those near him at the table.

"I'll be making my own way too, for good or bad, my two cousins are in Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, though my mum was apparently Hufflepuff". He was talking, kind of a lot, and getting close to having to explain how he hadn't been hearing all of these stories all along.

"Still, I hear it's the best, though from others of course". Hufflepuff themselves wouldn't be likely to say it, and that was part of why Grant was saying it now at the table, in case no one else ever did.

Yet he next frowned as something occurred to him.

"Though...you don't think they'll make us stack the chairs or anything because of it?", he asked a bit worried.
