Serena blinked as she got hit by a spell that... did not knock her off or do anything she had expected. Instead, she found herself... rising up? That seemed odd. Very odd. She looked around, suddenly getting a better view of the pitch from up there - though she had no idea why she was meant to be up there. At least, she had no idea until Alan explained that he had intended on lowering her. She had no idea what he had done to do the exact opposite but she went with it, the height gave her a different advantage now.
But more than that, it was time to start exerting some revenge! Gripping her wand, she contemplated a plan. Everyone - well a few others - seemed to be going for the fourth year that she had previously attacked for some reason. Well... perhaps she could return to her earlier target this time. He might have the height advantage too now but if she could remove his ability to see for a bit that would even it out or... maybe... "Expelliarmus!" She cast, pointing towards Alan, hoping to disarm him for a bit.
She had no idea if it would work, the other guy did seem to be rather nimble on the broom and she found herself struggling to hit him. But this was perfectly good practice, in fairness. She needed to improve her accuracy and this was a great way to do such a thing - find the hardest opponent and practice. But... Flipendo seemed like a horrid idea when they were further up than everyone else so, she opted for a slightly better tactic.

He instead could have hit Pericles with the spell by accident, but luckily that did not happen. However Serena wanted revenge and would attempt to hit him with a disarming charm. While she hit him, Alan's grip on the wand was just too strong and he did not let go of it, staring at the girl in surprise.

Ana not satisfied with the bits of damage she had done, would yet again master the incantation of Flipendo and unleash it on Scarlett, finally knocking the last bit of winds out of her as she watched the girl fall towards the ground. However before being hit, Scarlett had managed to cast the very same incantation as she hit Ana with it. Despite all this, Ana actually managed to stay on the broom. S

Serena was confused as to why she was this far up now, but soon got an explanation by none other than Alan and decided it was only right to give a little payback. While she was successful in her casting, the Gryffindor boy would simply not let go of his wand so in the end it was somewhat a bit of a fail after all.

Xailah was once again a popular target but this time around was actually hit... more or less. As Willow would cast the obscuro charm a blindfold would transfigure around the metamorph's eyes but it was oddly loose. It slipped a little and was more of a nuisance rather than a blindfold, just lightly obscuring her view. S

The Gryffindor was so focused on her target that she barely notice the jinx shooting her way until it hit her. She exhaled sharply as the spell hit her, but still managed to cast an attack of her own. And what an attack it was! Scarlett plummeted from her broom, and Ana let out a delighted chuckle, all traces of her homicidal mood from moments before gone. Now she could actually focus on winning this game as opposed to just brutally targeting her least favorite redhead.
She scanned the field, twirling her wand between her fingers as she selected her next target. For obvious reasons, she was avoiding targeting Eyre, Flash, Willow, Alan, and Ruby. However, this courtesy most definitely did not extend to their allies. If it did, she would have been avoiding targeting nearly all the remaining players. She highly doubted that it would come down to her and anyone she particularly didn't want to hit, as the game was fairly intense. Her eyes settled on the Gryffindor prefect who was blindfolded. It was nothing in particular against her, more that she was an easy target and Ana was determined to take advantage of that. Also, Flash was targeting her, so that she was as good a target as any. With a final twirl of her wand, she grasped it and flicked it. "Flipendo! For Moderation:

Relief coursed through Pericles as his hand closed carefully around the wand, drawing it in. He had a moment of childish triumph, quoting a play in his head: At last! My arm is complete again! Now wasn't the time to celebrate however. His sole triumph thus far was preserving River from a tedious trip to the hospital wing. It was time to get back in the game, do some damage, maybe seek revenge for the scavenger hunt he had been sent on. Once he looked skyward and saw several spells flying for Xailah however, the boy became significantly less interested in avenging himself.Interacting with @Anastasia Beckett
Mentioning River, Ruby, Willow, Flash, and Xailah
Ruby was aiming for Willow. Joining her would have been a sound tactic, yet a lingering pang of sentimentality for the green witch put him off of it. For now. There was also Flash, the boy Xailah had warned the prefects about pre-match. But the biggest threat of all in that particular moment was the third-year Quidditch player: Anastasia. Pericles might have veered away from the frightful glimpse of Girl Beef before, but now she had it out for one of his own allies. That wouldn't do. Deciding to go for the formidable target first and work his way down, he swooped up from below, aspen arching at Ana. "Expelliarmus!"Casting Expelliarmus at Anastasia.

Flash's spell went wide again, and Willow's was not all that much better. They weren't getting anywhere, she was too good at dodging, or flying... or both. He wished he could use his brain, something better than knowing who to target and having allies on his side. For some, that might have already seemed like an advantage, but it felt more like spinning in place. Even with Willow, and apparantly Alan and Anastasia as well, Xailah seemed unfased, her fuzzy dice bouncing around... mocking him.
Time was up anyway, Pericles was back and no fewer of his allies were there to greet him. Flash could curse his luck, but he wasn't about to take the game that personally. He knew he was falling behind in his spellcasting, he barely used any magic at all during his first year. Worried that he would do it wrong. Like this. He couldn't let failures take control of him though, things like this took practice.
Of course, he couldn't just let the group remain as strong as it was. If Xailah wanted to remain so impossible to target, then he would try to thin their numbers once again. After all, it seemed to only prove his theory when Pericles immidiately came to Xailah's aid the moment he returned, targetting Anastasia. He wasn't off playing white knight for the other girl that fell off her broom, perhaps he only cared about other prefects.
Well, there was no time to second-guess, this was a game of fast flying and quick thinking. Also, a bit of luck.

A spell would drone past the fourth year. Flash's to be exact. It would seem that Flash would lose interest in the game of chase that had been started, after his second spell missed. Which was fine- it wasn't like Xailah wanted to play that game anyways. There was another spell however that had been cast by one of Flash's companions- Chicken-Dance-Girl-From-Tag, if Xailah recalled correctly- which had been a little more successful. Well, successful was... debatable. The spell of Chicken Girl's, choice had been Obscuro. It was a good spell. An old favorite of Xailahs, for some unbeknownst reason. So she knew how it was supposed to work. Once that blindfold made contact with her silky skin, the only thing the Gryffindor could feel was disappointment.
And it wasn't the type of disappointment that is felt for oneself- it was more so like the disappointment one feels, when they realize how sad something is. That blindfold was sad. But, it was a success. It did its job of obscuring- just very, very, poorly. "Ouh." The conjured fabric draped loosely, over the soft angles of the metamorphs face. It didn't completely obnubilate her sight, but it was still a distraction. Others knew that- as some had already begin to take advantage of the hinderance. Xailah was unsure of what to do. Did she attempt to blindly dodge unseen spells? Or did she try to remove the cloth? The latter would give a bigger opening for others to finish her off. The former would prolong that opening. After a risky moment of hesitation, she decided to take a chance with the latter option.

exit post────── ☆ ───────Scarlett glanced at her jet of light, the spell arcing round to Beckett with a whoosh. A smile spread across her lips for one glorious second - the charm was sure to hit. And hit it did, but victories always came with a price. Scarlett felt a hard force knock into her ribcage, similar to that of a sledgehammer just as she was revelling in the success of her spell. It snatched the air from her lungs immediately, and as she was already weakened from Beckett's previous attempts, it took little to no effort to knock her off her broom. And that very thing happened.
Scarlett watched as her own Flipendo hit Beckett, inflicting just a bit of damage to the third-year. It wasn't enough and Beckett managed to stay on her broom. Scarlett didn't though, and she tumbled from the rickety piece of wood with an oomph. She rocketed to the ground and hoped desperately there was some sort of Cushioning Charm. Scarlett wouldn't be conscious long enough to find out though, which was sort of a relief. The last thought she had before she passed out was a cheerful: Fuck you, Beckett. Then she hit the ground with a hard thud, the world already black.────── ☆ ───────

Her spell successfully hit her target but he seemed to be able to hold onto the wand nonetheless, which kind of sucked. But she found herself fist-bumping at the fact that she had successfully hit him in the first place. She had almost disarmed him and that was enough. It meant that her aim was not as terrible as she had anticipated. Perhaps she was getting a little better at this. That was enough.
She searched the skies for a new opponent. She needed a better plan if there was any chance of actually ending this game. Right now, most people seemed to still be in. Perhaps she ought to start flipendo-ing everyone left, right and centre but she did not really like that plan. After getting hit so many and falling off her own broom countless times, Serena was a bit more cautious about using spells. Getting knocked right off would not be pleasant for anyone.
Though it did dawn on her that everyone else seemed to be happily attacking each other. Spotting a familiar face in the crowd, she nodded to herself. Anastasia Beckett was someone she knew from those boring pureblood parties she went to. In fact, she was the highlight of such a party. They were normally so boring. Meeting someone of a similar age who shared similar interests was rare. But it did appear that Ana was very happy to knock people off. It seemed only fair to retaliate, "Descendo!" She called out pointing her wand at the target's broom, hoping to simply lower the girl to the ground and eliminate her, rather than brutally knocking her off.

Willow would take her successes where she could, in this case, a partial blindfold. Maybe it was because transfiguation wasn't her greatest subject and the idea of conjuring still boggled her mind just a little bit. It was hard to visualize something coming out of thin air when it didn't seem possible. It was hard to decipher what was going on and who was targeting who, but as she was whizzing around she noticed Flash had dropped their target on Xailah. What the heck was she supposed to do? She thought they had a plan and here he was going off course.
Maybe that's what he wanted to do, and maybe he hoped Willow would catch on and secretly know his strategy. If only they had a mind link, that would make this so much easier. They'd be able to plot and plan without being near each other. No matter, she had to trust in herself and also trust in her brother. She wouldn't give up on Xailah, especially when she was vulnerable. Willow knew she was powerful, and honestly she mildly intimidated the young badger but she'd never tell anyone. With a mighty point of her wand and a hopefully well placed confidence in her voice, she casted. "Flipendo!"

*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*Ruby watched as her spell went whizzing past the Hufflepuff and scowled. Another spell missed. She was a decent flyer—her stint as a Chaser in Quidditch had proven that she wasn't bad at it—and she excelled in her schoolwork, having a passion for spells, but clearly it was harder to combine them than she had initially thought. Other people seemed to be hitting their mark well enough, but they seemed to be using spells that were less directly aiming for their opponent's downfall. Was it time for her to shake things up and go with a different spell? If she could just hit for once then it should be fine, but she seemed to be having trouble with that.
As she saw it, she had four possible actions to try to help Xailah—which she would be doing regardless of what May decided to do, because her friends and teammates came first. She could try to take out the Flash kid, continue her attempt to get his friend off her broom, target Ana instead, or sacrifice herself and try to act as a human shield. Targeting Ana, she decided, was out of the question. Considering the silence in communications between them, attacking Ana even in a game would make things too tense, and she wasn't willing to risk worsening relations any further with someone she had thought to be one of her best friends.
Flash was undeniably a threat. He seemed to have been going for the prefects nearly from the start and would likely continue to until they were all out unless he was taken out first. He needed to be removed from the gameplay as soon as possible, as did his allies. However, Xailah was in a hugely vulnerable position with the blindfold obscuring her vision. With all the spells flying towards her while she was unable to see, she stood little chance. Ruby could either attempt to prevent future attacks or she could try to get in the way of one of the current spells. With a deep breath, she gripped the broom tighter and sped forwards. Attempting to sacrifice herself for someone else? How very un-Slytherin of her. This was not something she would do for just anyone. For moderation:
