Henry stared at the Painting then thought of something as he turned to Kara before speaking " what if there's suppose to be another in the painting with him? Either painted as the one who saves or kills him?" Before thinking further on the idea a familiar face joined his side for a few minutes as Henry spoke " hey Callista," even through he was focus on the riddle and now the symbol he still caught what she said and it wasn't what he wanted to hear. Henry listened to Callista how a boy named Charles from Dumstrang looked like him a bit, meaning probably because they both had blue eyes even through Henry's were blueish with a hint of another color. Henry did knew a Charles; Charles Alluring a member of his father's idiot family that he was trying to distance himself from, well technically speaking he didn't know any of them existence till a few months ago and he wished he never met them.

" Sorry Callista but I don't know anyone from Dumstrang," Henry spoke before smiling over at the girl who said her name was Piper. However his attention was taken away again by the girl who he presumed was a first year and way to excited over this, now believing the professor's organized all of this and that she should cast a spell on the apparition. Henry looked at Kara as he clearly had enough before saying to the girl, " just because there's candy doesn't make this organized. We found it outside the ball room which meant it may be left over from the ones who planned the balls and your a first year so I assume you haven't seen the dangers that Hogwarts students went through," Henry paused for a breath before continuing " and don't cast a spell on the cat, this could be a serious situation not all fun and games not to mention apparitions don't get the effects of such spells."

Henry turned back to Kara and continued to examine the painting as he looked down at her with the cat before he said " earn the cat's trust yet? Maybe befriending it is the way to go after all cats are intelligent creatures," Henry continue to stare at the painting when the french girl came back and started to talk to Scarlett. Henry eyed the two as his mind went to work, best friends for sure or something like that, Henry tried not to listen as he stared at the painting. Henry then watch her approach him and tell the brown hair and blue eye boy that he looked familiar before asking a question in which Henry avoided Scarlett's eye contact and said " I lived in godric hollow until two years ago," however she wasn't there just for chit chat since she mentioned that the beauxbatons symbol was two wands crossed...

Maybe it was another school or someone mimicking another school or ugh... I seen that symbol but where... think Henry think...

Luckily he didn't need to since Calista said where and he was thankful that she did; St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Henry smiled at her as he spoke " your seriously the smartest person here right now," before turning to Kara and saying " do you think it's a old worker or maybe a patient or maybe something else?" Henry's attention was taken again this time by; Søren who mentioned asking the paintings again in which Henry agreed with him as he spoke " brilliant idea mate, who knows what they seen or heard."

Henry would have rather not said anything but he could have sense some tension growing between Cash and Scarlett. Although there wasn't much the boy could except send a smile over to Scarlett as he saw his dueling captain shoot each member a look to call them over but Henry didn't know if he should join his team. He felt he should be there with friends helping them but he also felt like he should he with the Vipers to, he was on a team now. As Henry thought he saw the paintings answer Søren and it turned out the more he asked the more answers he got allowing Henry to turn to him and say " the paintings seem to be getting more and more helpful by the minute, maybe try asking for the fellow whose suppose to save the guy in the painting mamet's now?"

Henry then turned to Kara as he spoke " there's suppose to be another in the painting, find him or maybe star might lead you to him. I'll be right back," Henry then turned and head toward his dueling captain and fellow dueling members.

Henry recognized his captain; Dmitri Jones and the two other members as Opeila and Astrea but couldn't help but wonder why the other member was staying away from them. Anyway Henry listened to his captain and when he mentioned the symbol he decided to say " a girl over there remembered that the symbol belong to the St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, maybe it has something to with them," Henry suggested as he continued to think before hearing the next clue.

Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora, why does that sound familiar? And the paintings said they got in a argument about a girl?

Henry started to shine his light among the paintings as he searched for the man before laying eyes on Kara and looking from her toward the painting while also shining his light at the bottom in hopes that she would see the clue.

Henry then turned back to the paintings and looking for the guy as he spoke to the other Vipers " the paintings mention a fallout between the two involving a girl so what if this is like in the books? You know two best friends become enemies because of a girl? Maybe the ghost knight is Paran Taja? Should someone call out his name just in case?" Henry then would resume searching for the the guy as he shined his light across the paintings.

The moment Kara's fingers made contact with Star's shimmering head, an icy chill crept up her arm, to which she bit her bottom lip, trying to hold the scream of shock from escaping her lips, but only a small yelp left her mouth.

She grabbed her arm and stared at Star, who was now purring loudly and looking her smack in the eyes with a wisdom that if you tried to comprehend, it would take years.

Kara whipped her head around to the sound of someone yelling out something.

“MUNGO BONHAM! GET YER MINGY WANKER OUT HERE! Uh, please.” A girl with long black hair had taken her advice, but it didn't seem to work.

"Well, better next time maybe." Kara said, standing up beside Henry and Piper, directing her words to the black haired girl.

She turned her head to Henry and Piper, rubbing her still tingling arm, which was now numb from cold and shock.

"Sta- I mean the cat, is definitely not a patronus. She's ghost of some sorts, but I wonder what the ghost of a cat is doing here, and what the importance of her is. She may be the pet of somebody who used to live her."

Kara glanced back at Star, who was still purring and looking deep into the depths of her soul. Kara turned to the portrait behind her, but looked back at Henry when he spoke up.

"There's suppose to be another in the painting, find him or maybe star might lead you to him. I'll be right back," Henry then walked off.

Turning to Piper, Kara gave her some instructions.

"While I'm trying to get Star to tell me anything, can you look for any clues, and then inform me or Henry of anything you find."

Kara herself then turned away, back to Star, and kneeled down in front of her.

"Come on Star," Her voice would have only been able to be heard by Star "If you want to, lead me to the next clue, give me something I can go off of!"
Action~ Trying to persuade Star to give her any clues, or lead her to the next.

Aida was saddened to see that the figure was not healed by the attempts of the others to save him. Unfortunately she did not know of any spells that would help the man either, and she did not have relevant potion materials on her. Her heart ached for the bleeding man and she wished she knew what to do to help him.

“There’s a scrap of fabric there in the painting, in the grass. It’s red and has a lion on it… Something Gryffindor-related perhaps?” said Aida aloud to the students around her, hoping it would mean something to an actual Gryffindor.

Aida sighed and looked grimly at the other paintings in search of something related to Gryffindor or the red cloth with the lion on it. Sad eyes glancing at each of the other painting inhabitants Aida’s voice sounded grim: “Do any of you know who dropped that red cloth in the painting? Can any of you get over there to help him?” Aida supposed that if the painting inhabitants could move freely about their pictures they would have done something for the man already, but Aida was desperate. “Do you know how I can help him?” she asked the most capable-looking portrait.

It took Tina a moment to realise that she wasn't in fact sucking on the sweet as she'd come to believe, but air, as her mouth was completely empty. Despite how the way she spoke made it seem as though something else was true, the sherbet lemon had dropped beneath the collar of her costume, sitting in the bottom. When she finally realised, the Hufflepuff frowned, looking around the corridors, a little disorientated. Had someone come up and whipped the treat out of her hands whilst she wasn't looking? That's when she met the spine-chilling gaze of one of various highly intimidating Hogwarts students dotted about the halls, who were busy performing their own investigations, it seemed. The way she trembled from just meeting their cold, calculating eyes was enough to tell her that she must have gotten so scared by the sight of them that she dropped the sweet somewhere...

She retracted her hand back inside her costume, removing the sherbet lemon from where it had dropped with a disappointed sigh. It was all fluffed up from the material of her costume. For a brief, hopeful moment, Tina made an attempt to pluck the excess fluff off of the outer shell before conceding that it might be a lost cause, and that it would probably be better to leave the other treats for later, lest she accidentally drop them again in a bout of fear. Either way, she followed on, still intent that this was all a game, despite Kara and Scarlett's insistence that this wasn't the case.

"EEK-" Tina clasped a hand over her mouth at the sight of the poor man, barely able to stomach it. Even if it was just a painting, she had come to learn that those pictured by oil on the walls of Hogwarts were no less sentient that her, and couldn't help but feel repulsed by the blood seeping out from underneath his body. It was a pitiful sight; the man curled up on the floor, unable to speak, desperate for help. Everyone else was already hard at work uncovering what was going on, calling out names that felt more purposeful than the ones she'd tried, talking to the cat- "Holy heck is that a GHOST cat?"

Tina had only just realised that the silvery feline wasn't a corporeal, white cat. It had took Kara saying just that for her to work it out, as well as the visual testimony of the Slytherin's hand dipping dipping through the creature's glowing head. Animals could be ghosts? She didn't know why that sounded so far fetched, but it did. Unsure what she could do, she turned to Scarlett:

"What do you think we should do? Do we talk to the other portraits?" Tina looked up. It seemed like plenty of people were doing just that. "Is he really hurt? Maybe he was painted like that in the first place?" She was grasping at straws a little bit, but only because she knew she wasn't able to bring herself to make any other detective strides in helping people. Why did she have to be so bad at these things? "It has to be someone other painted thing that hurt him, if that's not the case, right?"

Tina looked about, trying to listen in to other people. She wasn't very good at finding clues herself, but the habitual gossip was a talented eavesdropper. She heard brief mutterings of the Gryffindor Common Room, and that someone there would know what happened. Just like that, the puzzle started to form in Tina's very foggy brain. Slightly.

"Oh my gosh! Scarlett! It's like a story!" she gasped, gripping the other girls wrist tight in her excitement. "There's someone that hurt him that's also a paining - um, someone near to the Common Room! Your Common Room! Maybe they'll know who's gotta save him!" She was a genius. With a bright smile, Tina raced off towards the Gryffindor Common Room, hoping she might be followed by some others. When she got there, she would look around, hopefully for some clues.
Action: Having listened in to clues from the others, she attempts to investigate around the Gryffindor Common Room

There were so many bodies in the way, squeezing in like sardines, trying to get close to the portrait. Clearly, the man couldn't speak a word, too faint from blood loss. But peering through the masses, Andrew was able to get a glimpse of the plate inscription below the picture frame:

"Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora," Andrew read aloud, primarily for @Dan Palmer to hear (though his voice may have been overheard by others nearby). Andrew was too focused on the painting to pay heed to Dan's confusion and query about what all was going on. Andrew didn't have any clue himself, but boy--was he going to find out!

"Is that…Laiks Denbora?" There was only one man in the painting that Andrew could be referring to.

He squinted harder, and noticed something else peculiar about the painting. At this point, Andrew didn't care about making himself known and being heard, as he forced his way to the front for closer inspection. He prayed his eyes and hunch weren't deceiving him.

"That's not right," Andrew stated with surprising conviction.

He pointed at a streak of blood on the floor in the painting.

"It looks like a drag mark," Andrew said, analyzing the pattern of the blood smear. "Has anyone seen this painting before?" He called out to the others around him. "I…don't believe this smear is supposed to be here."

A sense of dread washed over him.

"I think… I think we're missing someone." He pointed back at the wounded man in the painting. "Is this Laiks Denbora? Or has Laiks Denbora been dragged away? Where's Paran Taja?!" He half demanded, raising his voice, before lowering it again uncertainly. "Or was Paran Taja the one…taken?"

Alexa stepped back from the painting, having seen the frame itself repair, but not the image in the picture. He was still… Dying… What could she do?

She carefully listened to the crowd around her; some of them obviously having discovered clues. Someone was shouting out names… Actually, several someones. She tried to hear the names, and then heard someone talk about the inscription on the painting. She looked closer, and read the inscription. The boy next to her was questioning whether or not this was Laiks, or not, and suggesting that perhaps Paran Taja had perhaps been the one kidnapped… Alexa shook her head, trying to clear it, surrounded by all of this noise.

She heard someone mention something about the Gryffindor common room. Perhaps the missing figure was there? But she could have no access to that common room, so instead she quickly walked down the hall, looking for paintings with Gryffindor symbols.

Finding one, she asked the inhabitant, "Can you do me a favor? I'm not a Gryffindor, but they're saying that the missing man might be in the Gryffindor common room, or something. Do you think you could check out the common room for me? We have to save this guy!"

She hoped the portrait would do and she asked; they had to find this missing person to save the one in the painting. He was dying! Didn't the painting understand?

Someone was shouting what they thought was the ghost's name. Maybe she should take up the call. For all that she was not big, she had a big voice when she wanted to. "MUNGO BONHAM!" She bellowed, hands cupped around her mouth. "We need your help!"
Action: trying to get a painting with the Gryffindor subject to scope out the Gryffindor common room and report back. Also shouts Mungo Bonham, hoping to get the ghost to come back.

Howard’s excitement towards her guess at the ghost only heightened her hope in that she was right. She was going to shout out, but the ghost was longer in sight. A frown quickly ran across her face. What if she was right, and had missed out on a chance to find out what was going on here? Although he had disappeared, she kept the name she spoke of in mind in case he made another appearance.

While Howard stepped forward towards the painting, Falentra remained where she stood, watching him as he spoke. She couldn’t help but smile at his choice of words. She did love it. They weren’t really the best words to approach with, amongst the rest of the students that spoke, his would stand out like a sore thumb. Either way Falentra just shook it off and casually looked over her shoulder every now and then. Whilst everyone seemed focused on the painting, Falentra was quite happy observing from a distance and listening out for anything new.

Howard returned not long after, which brought her attention back to him. “Nothin’?” She asked, wondering if he had gathered any info. His expression seemed to have answered it, but the situation was seemingly strange now. This was no act on the professors behalf. The painting before them truly seemed in utter agony and most probably scared a few of the students, something the professors didn’t intend on doing.

A painting which would speak to a fellow student in the distance caught the attention of the Slytherin. Her gaze quickly looked towards Howard followed by a nod in the direction of her new interest. She swiftly made her way over, not too close but enough to eavesdrop in on the conversation. They spoke of the Gryffindor commons room. Part of Falentra wanted to go but her trouble in trusting people, even paintings doubted her. If she was to go with Howard, she would wait for someone to take the lead. Not because she was scared, but rather her look less of a fool if the so-called clue was real or not, plus if danger lay ahead, it was best if she had a ‘test dummy’ go first.

“Could be clue.. but best if we hold back.. could miss out on summat if we hurry on ahead.” She whispered to Howard. She tried her best to keep her voice low, enough so she could still listen out for whatever she could. Whilst the students looked and spoke eagerly, many may of not been paying attention to their surroundings unlike Falentra and Howard.

Alan would take a look around but he wasn't too sure as to what he would be able to find and hummed slightly as he watched Tiger jump back when as soon as the ghostly cat retaliated. He seemed to be quite in shock after having jumped through the ghostly appearance of the cat and while Alan has never felt it, he had heard it was a very odd and alienating sensation to pass through a ghost; the poor feline. But Tiger soon would get to senses, fur raised before calming down as his flight instinct calmed down. The Bengal was still in confrontation with the ghost cat.

But something else caught the fourth years attention? The cat lost candy, was seriously no one else wondering how a ghost cat could carry something that was physical? To be fair it was dropping it along the way but it kinda seemed as if the cat was doing that on purpose? Alan would check out the cat as he watched it and Tiger play or do whatever those two cats were doing. Henry chimed in and the fourth year turned his head to look at the boy with a slight smile. "I'm not too sure, what was the riddle again?," he would ask the younger boy with a slight tilt of his head.

But then the Gryffindor dropped down into a squat as he reached out a hand to the ghostly cat, which piqued Tiger's interest as well. "Soooo, what's your name, little one?", he would inquire from the ghost cat not actually expecting to find the cat answering to him but perhaps the cat had a collar with a tag or something? The fourth year wouldn't know he just knew that he would sometimes have Tiger wear a harness with a small tag and on one side of the plate it had Tiger's name while the back of it depicted his own name. He usually had Tiger wear it during class as the feline would roam around freely outside. He didn't expect Tiger to get lost or run away but he knew that other students could get concerned sometimes and he wouldn't want them to mistake his cat for a stray and wanted them to know where to return the cat to in case they assumed he was lost. To be fair most of the time he forgot to add the harness but was it really that important? Tiger had never actually got lost and always was close to where the fourth year was so there really was not much to worry about. Alan shook his head as he got lost in thoughts, he had to focus here...

Henry informed her that he didn't know anyone from Durmstrang, to which she responded, "Oh okay, thanks." His attention was quickly caught away again, so Callista let the matter go. It wasn't really that they looked similar, but she just had a feeling of familiarity.

“I didn’t see what happened, but I believe I know who did it. They were feuding while they were still alive, and their portraits mimicked that behavior, as we all tend to do. Look near the Gryffindor common room, he shouldn’t be hard to miss.”

Callista's eyes lit up with excitement. One step closer to solving the mystery! "Thank you so much, kind sir!" she said, bowing while thanking the young man in the portrait profusely.

At Henry's compliment, Callista blushed. "Aw, you're too sweet, I really didn't do anything, I just remembered something..." There was so much commotion around her, she couldn't imagine juggling so many people talking to her at once like Henry did. She watched him in awe for a second before snapping out of it when she heard someone by the portrait [Andrew Vanes] calling out something about... Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora? Now that was one queer sentence. Immediately, her brain started to turn. Perhaps it's backward? Na... narap ajat saves skial arobned? No, that makes even less sense. Maybe I need to rearrange it? No, it's more likely that the sentence is fine as is...

Then she was distracted again by a girl [Alexa Mackenzie] mention the Gryffindor common room and remembered what the painting had told her. A painting near the Gryffindor common room, who feuded with the man in the portrait? Heading forward into the crowd was the last thing she wanted to do, but she headed forward anyway. The word "Gryffindor" seemed to be traveling around. A girl with white hair [Aida Mòrsgor-Ama Ellwood] pointed out a piece of red cloth, perhaps a Gryffindor one. Another, the one who said the whole "Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora" thing [Andrew Vanes], pointed out a smear of blood. Callista's stomach turned at the sight of blood, and being in this crowd didn't help matters at all.

"If someone saves Laiks Denbora, it makes sense that this would be him. The smear mark could have been him being dragged over here, and all signs - the Gryffindor cloth, the message given by the paintings - seem to point to a portrait by the Gryffindor common room. If this Paran Taja saves this man, then why would he be the suspect that injured him in the first place?" she mused. "Unless he feels bad and comes back to heal him... We don't have enough information." Our biggest lead right now is the Gryffindor common room portrait.

Callista spotted a girl [Martyna Romero] heading away, saying something about the Gryffindor common room. Again, another mention to the place... So, so far, we've encountered sweets... At this, she pulled out her own candy - an acid pop, a sherbet lemon, a sticky caramel, and some toothflossing stringmints. Then the ghost/Patronus cat, which led us to this portrait... Someone [Sapphire Riddle] mentioned something about the painting being unbalanced, I agree... And then there's the drag mark, so maybe he's right, this man isn't supposed to be in this painting... And the young man in the painting over there told me to look by the Gryffindor common room. It seems that other people got the same message. And then, of course, "Paran Taja saves Laiks Denbora". "I think someone should head to the Gryffindor Common room," Callista mused, not really talking to anyone in particular. She remembered her friends (yes, just now, I'm sorry, Callista this mystery is multi-faceted) and hurried back to them.

"Sorry, I got carried away by the mystery. Do you guys know what's happening?" It wasn't like she was an expert on what was happening, she doesn't even know the whole "call my name" part, but she wanted to check to make sure they weren't missing out. Robert's intellect could be quite useful, and since Quinn was sorted into Ravenclaw as well, Callista assumed that she (I know that Quinn is non-binary, but Callista doesn't know that, so she thinks Quinn is a girl, feel free to explain that to her if you want) had a pretty sharp mind as well. Also, if they had any insights... that would be pretty useful. She still had her wand in hand but wanted to wait to try any spells in case anything comes up.

Percival could not help but feel a little bit safer around Opeila. Now that the two were reunited it felt like nothing could get in their way. Besides, an overzealous crowd pushing them apart. The boy dropped his left hand back to his side after he finished greeting her. Percival's right hand remained tightly wound around the familiar wood of his wand. It felt like a good idea to keep his wand close when following a strange cat. Especially, when the said cat was a ghostly apparition. Percival shrugged slightly at Opeila's question. His brows furrowing as he watched the ghostly cat. It truly was a strange little thing, and he wondered what its purpose for being here at Hogwarts was for.

The boy would look down at the hand outstretched for him to take. Percival hesitated for a second before taking Opeila's hand in his. Percival felt a small blush cross his cheeks for a fleeting moment enjoying holding her hand. Though her next words brought him out of his daydream. The boy blushed harder but this time from embarrassment. Of course, she only wanted to make sure he didn't get separated from her again. It only made sense but for some reason, it still stung for some reason. Percival allowed Opeila to lead them after the cat. The boy slowed his steps down until he stood next to Opeila. "Weird painting.." he said his nose scrunching up in dislike. The painting truly was a horrid thing to look at, and he wondered why anyone would willingly paint it.

Percival followed Opeila's gaze towards a blond-haired boy a few ways away from them. He looked older than the two of them, and was most likely a year or two ahead of them. The last name Jones was a common last name. Coupled with the fact that he knew no Jones, Percival doubted he would be able to figure out who the other was. Not wanting to let go of Opeila's hand, the boy followed her over to the growing group. Percival frowned behind his mask as he listened to what Dmitri had to say. A mysterious symbol appearing once isn't the most concerning thing. Though the fact that it kept appearing in random places put him off. It was as if someone or something was trying to make sure people saw the symbol. Maybe someone was trying to send a message. Or a warning. It was unclear to the boy, and he nodded at Opeila's words. "We should stick with the group." he muttered to her his brow furrowing. There was always safety in numbers, and the last thing they needed was to be separated from the group.
