A Birthday Well Celebrated
Interacting with @Cade Darkbound and @Rosie Marricott Willew
Arissa's smirk froze when she heard Cade's suggestion of writing her poetry in their next missives. She could imagine herself being unamused reading such an artistic writing, and perhaps burn it afterwards. It's a good thing that she did have the Fire Making Spell in her arsenal.
Like what her mother once said, 'Leave no evidence that would doom you'.
Cade's poetry was by no means dangerous, but certainly would be a little horrifying for Arissa's herself if her fellow Slytherin managed to get a hold on it.
No, no. She need to stop this madness.
"As much as I wanted to support your desire to explore new ventures, Cade... perhaps you could tone it down a little?" A whole parchment consisting of merely his poetry would be a nightmare that would haunt her in her dreams. If his poetry was the same as his lyrics, then...
Arissa almost shuddered at the thought of it. "I do believe that moderation is the key for everything. But I do applaud your bravery to challenge yourself."
Arissa shot him a forced smile, as she bit every word she said, trying to avoid expressing her grimace so openly. "And if you must train your new skill with me," she added grudgingly." Perhaps only one or two verse. And not the cheesy one, of course. "
If somehow he started his letter with 'Your existence is like a water to quench my thirst' or something similar, she would definitely threw it in the raging fire. Only that part of course, she could salvage the rest of the letter.
The dare marked the end of the party. Truthfully, Arissa didn't expect herself to enjoy it as much as she did as it was quite casual and a bit of a rush, but alas, Cade had proven her wrong. Well, one thing that truly shocked her was the fact that the gentlemanly boy actually proceed to give both the girls a hug. Arissa couldn't help but froze when she received it, as she was not used to be in a close contact with a male other than her father and Adrian.
However, a smile was still fixed on her face, as she said, "Thank you for the invitation, Cade. It's quite enjoyable despite the technical problems that we faced at the beginning of the party." She shook her hands with both of them; first Cade and then Miss Rosie.
Turning her head to face the other girl, she spoke, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Rosie. A bit abrupt introduction, but I can say that I do enjoy having an ally in teasing the birthday boy."
Both girls are quite different in both personality and style, and she was a bit unique from Arissa's normal crowds. Nevertheless, her appearance did give the party a lot more color. Arissa definitely didn't detest such a thing, though she hardly experienced meeting someone that have such a lively personality.
"Perhaps we can arrange another meeting in the future. But for now, I believe that it's a farewell." She waved at them both before walking away; her mind started to think about her relationship with others.
Friends. Allies, Acquaintance, Neutral, and Enemies.
From the first day she stepped into Hogwarts, she has define them so clearly into those five categories. Cade is her friend, Miss Rosie as an acquaintance, but she's not sure whether or not she'll greet them so openly.
Arissa had her crowd of people she hang out with; which most described them as the snobbish Slytherins group, and she may or may not openly approached both of the Ravenclaws under prying eyes. But still, she didn't exactly reject building a new thread of connections, as limiting your contacts could make you become a narrow-minded adults.
That's what she'll do. No one can control her belief.
"Elegant and unruffled, impassioned yet unmoved...That's what I am, and that's what I must be."

Rosie was much more of a prose person, but as a theater enthusiast she could of course admire the flow and delicacy of verses. Well written ones. Cade started gathering his things and Rosie wasn't sure how to help so she simply stood there with Arissa, she had eaten well and was a little tired just from imagining climbing the stairs to the ravenclaw tower, she had loads of fun too so she knew she would sleep well that night. Rosie held a grin at how Arissa spoke, she was severe? yes, but not in a mean way. Could she be teased for her structure. Just as Rosie could be for the lack of one? Only when Rosie discovered the limits Arissa had, it would be safe to know the line between teasing a friend or annoying her.
She patted Cade's back as he hugged her, rolling her eyes back having fun with the situation, of course the birthday boy would thank people for coming to his party, he was just so polite. She was glad he really liked the gift though, since she hadn't bought it or anything. Then Arissa shook hands with her and Rosie moved her hand up and down vigorously. _Yes, yes very nice meeting you too._ She did not expect Arissa to conceive even this. Perhaps she could indeed become Arissa's friend. _Since I gotta eat the pie we are even Cade, don't worry, it's your day, no need to thank us._ Oh the subtle formality those two had. Imagine reading their letters. Energy unmatched. Rosie then checked the shoes to see if they were not smudge with dirt, yeah, still looking nice.
_Hope your farewell isn't too long!_She would be patience with Arissa's time, but also, how sad was it that she had to fantasize about a far far away day when they would finally sit in the garden and trade laces for the hair. Oh man. She watched as Arissa got distant, then turned to Cade. _I think she can help me pull off a barrette, I can have that range; hm, maybe not...Well, I'll go first, I'm not climbing the stairs to the tower now, I'm too full, see you in the common room._ She waved goodbye as she left. She could stay at least an hour at the library right? Maybe. She wasn't going to dinner anyway.
