Floating in the air on her trustworthy Tinderblast, the dhampir glared at the three rings. Nico was probably the slowest of her team of Chasers and she was aware of that. Because of that, she wanted to be better. To become the one they would favour as their top Chaser. 'Stop being distracted and ... keep your eyes on the game...' From the center of field, Nico had placed some sort of launching mechanism that would throw the Quaffle up in the air for her to grab.

Hands tightly around the broomshaft, she leaned forward, trying to become faster. Fetching the Quaffle just about, with her slender hands, she'd make a barrelroll and aim straight for the goals. 'YAAH!' With a powerful swing of her arm, the Quaffle would fly towards its target, but gently ding against the metal, before dropping down again.

Dissapointed in herself, the Chaser let one gloved hand run through her shorter hair. Her neck being stroked by the wind. 'What am I.. I just gotta try again... That has to be it..' With an elegant turn, she scooped up the Quaffle from the floor, to then toss it back in the mechanical launcher. After a few ticks, the Quaffle gets thrown up once more.

Again hoping to gain more speed, Nico barely caught the ball before, again, missing the goal. With a pained and frustrated groan, she flew up to stare at the rings. A monologue playing in her head. Her gloves rubbed the back of her neck, the wind tickled it every so often. Her covered fingers running over the black veiny scar. Her gaze fixated on the golden circles, a soft red glow swirling in her blue hues.

This year has not been kind to the young Ravenclaw. Even though she survived her first year, the horrible memories of past events still remain. And yet, that wasn't the brunt of what the past months has given her. Her summer, though sweet and full of fonder memories at first, later turned to one of the coldest weeks she encountered. It engraved heavily in her mind that when she arrived in the Library today, she can almost hear her mother's cold and almost sinister voice dripping out to Breana's ear. The girl needed a new place of solace. A haven for her own thoughts, no matter where it was. Thus began her exploration into uncharted Hogwarts territory.

Her feet went into autopilot as she traversed through the hallowed halls of the academy, even stumbling upon halls that she hasn't passed by. Finally, it lead her to the outside of the castle walls, then out in the Quidditch fields. She rarely visits it on her own time, though it was oddly peaceful (for the most part) when it doesn't have an army of students whizzing around like bees around their hives. Just a handful of students today, possibly Quidditch players. Odds are they might not even notice Breana walking in, which was fine by her. Lately, she rather not be in the spotlight for now. All she wants is a sound mind and some white noise to fill up her thoughts.

Unfortunately, once she took charge of her own feet, they suddenly became two left ones as she accidentally tripped and splatted, knees first onto the grass. Thankfully, it wasn't too much of a painful fall, though her dignity was badly bruised. "Great... GreatgreatgREAT work there, Bre..." She muttered to herself as she got back up. Physically, it wasn't anything too bad. Just a scraped knee, though some blood did drip out. Thinking nothing of it, Breana just patted some of the blood away, wiping her stained hand with the side of her shorts. Hopefully, no one took notice of that blunder as she was about to walk over up the stairs of the stands.

'There has to be... some trick to it... right?' Nico muttered as her eyes followed the curvy lines of the rings. They almost seemed to be taunting her. Questioning her if the reason she got on the team was by mere luck.

'UGH!' Frustrated and annoyed, the dhampir flew closer to the hoops, readying her first to punch it real hard. But right before hitting its surface, a familiar smell lingered into her nose. Iron. Blood?

A year ago, Nico would go haywire. She'd slowely lose it and drool all over her hands. But since the new rules had been applied, which involved getting a portion of blood every morning and evening, dhampirs had basicly no longer any chance of attacking someone for their blood.

It still did make her curious though. Yes, the amount wasn't alot, but who hurt themselves nearby? Still heavily annoyed that her practice was an absolute shitshow, Nico decided to check it out. Her pale nose could pinpoint the location pretty quick, flying over besides one of the stands. Somewhere in here? Behind this?

Slowely, she landed down near the staircase, putting her broom in a safe corner where curious eyes wouldn't have any reach. 'Hello?' Her eyes glanced up, her expression cold, brows slightly furrowed with anger. She wasn't patient today, already carefully walking up the stairs as the scent got stronger. 'Is anyone here? I know there's someone..'

As Breana walked further up the staircase, reaching the farthest row of the stands. She looked over at the horizon that she can see from where she stood. It's an oddly poetic view for her, she thought. A view that not a lot of people knew, as they usually focus on the matches and field at the center. She felt similar to that, in some way.

As cliche as it'd sound, she'd rather not be the one in the spotlight. Maybe when she was a first-year, yes, but lately anything that'd draw attention to her is the last thing Breana would want for herself. Maybe it's because of what happened to her parents since she felt that she was the cause of them drifting apart. Maybe it could also be because of how meticulous her mother has been with Breana's academic life. Either way, she pushed herself to the sidelines. After everything that happened to her she just needed peace.

She closed her eyes, letting the soft breeze flow through her and making her hair flow along its stirring. For a moment, the dread that she's been feeling at the start of the school year is gone. Just the refreshing breath of the sky, and the beauty of the scene calming the little 12-year-old. She sat on the ledge of that row, letting her legs dangle on the edge.

Unfortunately for her, that peace was quickly interrupted by the faint sound of another student. Breana turned around to see one of the students that were broom practicing before. A Quidditch player, maybe? She wasn't well versed in the Quidditch team but knowing that very few are voluntarily hanging out in the pitch, it's the closest educated guess she can deduce.

With the red-haired student's cold gaze and aloof demeanor, the unlucky Ravenclaw had a momentary flashback. It doesn't help that the area is also similar to when another senior had practically chewed her out just for existing. Breana had to stop herself and take a breath. "Come on, Bre... Pull yourself together..." She thought to herself, letting out an exasperated sigh. She looked back to the Slytherin third-year, wondering why she's coming up the stairs in the first place? Breana just figured that she was looking for someone else, so she didn't pay the dhampir too much mind. Though, as her very low luck would have it, her feet were not agreeing with the footing of the stands. Thankfully, she did regain it properly, but for anyone from afar, it could possibly look like she was about to fall.

Reaching the top, the scent of copper was so strong. Thankfully, she had eaten earlier today and the daily doses of bloodbags had helped her out immensely. Turning to her left, she laid eyes upon the source of the intoxicating scent. A student, of course.

Nico didn't know her. Possibly, she had seen her before. But that didn't matter right now. Not much mattered right now. Where was she hurt? There were no tears of blood visible on her face. She probably wasn't a dhampir. Did that matter? Annoyed and feeling as if she had too much energy, her eyes flickered all over the child infront of her. Where was it? And then she saw it.

Her knee.

The drips were little but that was of no importance. She could smell it and the scent drove her mad. 'Why in Merlins name are you walking around all hurt? Aren't you worried it'll get infected? Honestly, do I need to drag every hurt student to the Hospital Wing? What did you do?' Nico usually didn't say much. She was quiet. Reserved. Closed off from others. And here she was. On the verge of breaking a fragile girl who needed support more than some strangely accusations of a student she hadn't seen before. Or atleast hadn't interacted with before.

The wound wasn't big. But the smell was. It made things rough for the dhampir to focus. She thought of how practice was not making any progress. She was staying in the same place, not moving forward. Being curled up in her bed would be really nice right now. If this child just hadn't gone and scraped her fricking knee.

'So? Got anything to say? Hm?' What was going on? Why was she being like this... Deep inside, Nico just hid in a corner. The person who was now controlling her was someone the cold child hadn't seen before. It was as if...
