Research Purposes PV Katie Palsorette Finished

Without even needing to think about it, Siobhán stood up enough to lean across the table and kissed Katie's cheek to calm her down. She leaned back and sat back down. She blushed a bit, scared that she shouldn't have done that, but she also realized she wanted to do it. Even if it was under the guise of calming Katie down. "Calm down, all right? Everything will be fine. Even if they say you have to go back to your house, I'll beg my parents to let you stay with us if I have to. I'm not sure you have to testify either, but we'll figure it out if you do need to."

Siobhán looked down at what she had been reading. She understood that it would be hard for Katie to stay calm in a situation such as this, but it wouldn't help to get overly excited or scared, or even nervous. She hoped that her kiss would calm her down, even if just a little. Maybe even distract her from the current situation. Siobhán knew that she liked Katie, definitely as a friend, but she wondered if her feelings were pushing towards like-like-ing Katie. She would have to think about her feelings more during her own time.

Katie felt herself blushing hard as Siobhán kissed her cheek. Katie had found herself wondering if she wanted to be more than friends with Siobhán several times, but she had found herself pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind. Katie hadn't wanted to face what get parents or other people might say. Katie's heart fluttered as she thought about Siobhán's lips and how they had kissed her cheek so softly.

Katie calmed a bit down about her fears about what would happen with her parents. The kids, even under a platonic desde, had helped to take Katie's mind off of her worries. What was Siobhán thinking right now anyway? Did she feel like it was platonic or did she secretly desire something more as well. Katie wasn't the best at reading other people's thoughts and feelings, so she wasn't sure.

Katie slightly fidgeted with her quill under the desk. Katie looked back yo at Siobhán to see if she could possibly read into anything Siobhán might be thinking or feeling. Katie had no such luck. Hee cheeks were slightly flushed, but that could mean any number of things. Thanks, Katie ended up saying, that helped. Even though it came out awkwardly, Katie was pretty sure that Siobhán wouldn't notice it too much.

Giving a small smile to Katie as acknowledgement, Siobhán looked down at the book she had be occupied with when Katie had joined her. Her cheeks felt like they were on fire. She knew her blushing must be pretty obvious, even if there wasn't a sign pointing directly at them with big, bold letters, probably saying something along the lines of Here is a blushing girl! Once in a lifetime moment!… Maybe not exactly that, but Siobhán felt as if there was a spotlight coming from somewhere. Clearing her suddenly tight feeling throat, she said,"You're welcome."

She knew that she might be developing a little bit of a crush on Katie, especially after that impromptu cheek kiss, but at the moment they had even bigger fish to worry about. There seemed to be a mountain on Katie's figurative plate that Siobhán wanted to help with. She just didn't know where to start. All the information that they needed for the British Magical Law was here in the Library possibly, but not Irish Magical Law, which was frustrating. Her father might be an Auror, but he thought that Siobhán didn't need to know much about it. She hoped he would be regretting that decision shortly. "There's so many places to look for information that I'm not sure where to look. What do you suppose?" She asked Katie, looking up from the book she wasn't even reading anymore.

Katie knew logically that Siobhán had kissed her on the cheek to calm her down. Katie also knew that it was highly unlikely that Siobhán liked her I'm that manner either. But as Siobhán did kiss Katie on the cheek, she started too internally fret. Katie had seen Siobhán as a clear friend but a friend nonetheless. Katie was now realizing that she looked Siobhán as now than a friend and had been for several weeks and it was only that the cheek kiss had made Katie start to realize it. It wasn't as though it was likely that Siobhán reinvented the feelings though. After all, why would anyone like her in that way?

Katie pondered the question Siobhán had posed on where they should look for information. Maybe... Katie started, still thinking through several possible possibilities, An Irish Magical law book? she suggested. We'll be doing this through the Irish ministry, so they'll luckily have the necessary information. Katie added, explaining her reasoning. Though, I'm not sure if we could find one of those in this library. Do you know if your father owns any books on Irish magical law? Katie asked, curiously with slight hope to her face. She briefly glanced over at the clock in the wall. Breakfast was in ten minutes, So they had just short of ten minutes to finish up their plans and get down to the Great Hall for breakfast. Katie considered suggesting they shut as one of their tables together for breakfast as it wasn't strictly against the rules, but decided against it. That would be to difficult to ask in a non-awkward way.

Siobhán thought about it for a moment. She supposed her father could send her a copy of a couple books, especially if Katie needed to prepare for anything important, which was looking very likely . Even then, they were still waiting on the letter that could change Katie's life forever, Siobhán hoped for the better. "I'll be sure to ask him. After we get a letter back, I'll send another asking for what we need," she said softly.

She knew she liked Katie as a friend, more than a friend actually. Katie was the first person to actually want to spend time with her. Then again, Siobhán didn't really handle strangers well when they wanted to speak with her, but Katie was different. It didn't take very long at all for Katie to worm her way into Siobhán's outer shell. Usually Siobhán would distance herself from a person who could do that, but Katie is special. In the short amount of time that they've spent together, Siobhán has come to care for Katie in a way that she didn't think she could for anyone else.

"Maybe we adjourn for now and meet up somewhere? Hopefully by then you or I will have received the letter from my father and then I can request the books we need. Who knows, maybe he will have sent them already. Let's meet up, say the Courtyard?"

Siobhán gathered her things into her bag and before she could change her mind, kissed Katie's cheek again. "I'll see you later," she said with a smile and walked away.

I'm not sure what you celebrate, but to be festive I'll just say Happy Holidays! :3

Katie smiled. She wasn't entirely sure of everything, but she was pretty choose to sue that she liked Siobhán. Katie had never exactly had a crush veggie do this was a new experience for her, but she was happy. It was a warm, bubbly feeling that made her feel like she was invincible, but in tune with the planet Earth at the same.

Katie listened to every comforting word Siobhán says to gee, and smiled largely. It was an entirely new feeling for Katie. To feel like she could be achieve true freedom and that she wanted that. To Ferro like she just might be empowered to rub away from all of the pain and suffering of the every day life. To not constantly worry that she might skip up, and let on to her parents that she hated them and their ideology.

Katie brushed as Siobhán kissed her in her cheek again, and smiled. Katie stacked up her books, and neatly returned then to each of the library shelves they rightfully belonged in. It was great talking to you, Katie said, I'll see you there at the courtyard! and Katie gave Siobhán a quick, tight hug. Before pulling away and heading off to Charms.
