What Really Happened? PV Katrina Walker Fin

She could see it, Katrina's rage. Her expression made it clear that she had every intent to track Anastasia Beckett down after this conversation and hex her or something, which was exactly what Bridget needed her not to do. She seemed to calm down a little bit, but there was still a spark there just waiting for a reason to erupt into a blaze. Bridget didn't spend a lot of time thinking about how different Houses acted, but maybe this was part of why the Sorting Hat had placed her friend in Gryffindor. Sure, Bridget got mad when her friends got hurt and was clearly willing to fight for them, but fighting the person responsible wasn't her initial reaction. It was more like carefully weighing if getting back at said person was worth it.

Katrina agreed, much to Bridget's relief. The Gryffindor added in a conditional and declared that she wouldn't let Anastasia Beckett 'walk all over her', which was perfectly fine by Bridget. "Of course. If she hurts you, hurt her back." Was she really encouraging her friend to get into another fight? Well, sort of. "Just don't be the one to start the fight." That was the thing; going around picking fights just because you could was plain stupid. Still, there was a difference between being reasonable and being weak and you had to be able to defend yourself. She supposed it really came down to knowing how to pick your battles.

It seemed like they were done. They'd said what they needed to say and hadn't gotten themselves into a full-blown argument. That was good; she didn't want to ruin her relationship with one of her closest friends after getting into an illegal duel on her behalf. With a little wave, Bridget finished off the last bit of her toast and headed out of the Great Hall.

With everything on the table, Katrina felt a bit of relief. Not much, but enough that the worry that Bridget would find out the truth and get mad was gone. It was sort of odd. Disagreements or heated actions had never worked out well for Katrina. This was genuinely the first time that Katrina had been able to safely say that it had all worked out. Their friendship, was, if anything, strengthened by this.

Katrina nodded to Bridget's last comments, the bit of frustration not completely fading away. However, it was now not strong enough that Katrina would go over and punch Beckett like she had wanted to moments prior. Instead, it would simmer until she went for a run or did something else.

Katrina waved back to Bridget and started back to her table. She wanted to sit down, but knew that if Bridget poked her now, that all of the fury would come rushing back. Instead, Katrina grabbed some sort of fruit and a muffin and finished them as she strode out of the Great Hall and out to the grounds. A run would do her good...
