Relaxing in the Corridors
Emilia was exhausted, she finally got caught up in the exhaustion that came after her sorting. She supposed she was lucky, it came the next day.
She felt her feet dragging along, like they were blocks of cement, so she reluctantly sat down in the corridor. She was not worried about being stepped on, most people were in their common rooms and she was in a corridor that was rarely used.
Emilia sighed as she felt her back come into contact with the cool, stone wall, she was exhausted and the stone wall seemed to help wake her up a bit. Emilia smiled softly and focused on her surroundings.
Emilia could hear the quiet chatter coming from a common room, signifying that she was not to far away from others. If she strained to listen she could also slightly hear the sounds of quills scratching, coming from the study room.
Emilia took a deep breath and realized that Hogwarts had a smell she had never smelt before, it smelled like fresh parchment, wood fires, magic and something else that she could not pinpoint.
Emilia looked around the hallway and began to trace the pattern on the wall next to her. She got goosebumps up her arms from the coolness of the stone slowly seeping into her body.
Emilia sat there for a bit, just observing the empty corridor.
