2020, Stage 1 Group E: Hufflepuff vs Slytherin

Willow's laughing relief apparently was not destined to live long. No, she would be struct by the dreaded charm by Opeila after her spell brutally failed and attempted to fly towards the ambiguous snake rather than Adonis. Not only did she continue to sneeze, and sniffle, and just look overall gross. It was combined with the hideous giggles of torment that had her sides tearing apart already. She wanted this to be over, so badly. There was nothing she wanted more than to win this duel and take a nap. A nap with Buttons, goodness what she would give to be cuddling with her cat. She used those thoughts as motivation to prepare for the next round.

Opeila was focused with all stremgth she had left. The curse was making her feel dizzy, only a little longer and she would first lose her balance and then her ability to do anything, leaving Adonis alone with the two of them. Hopefully the spell at least had the same effect on Willow.
For now things worked out their way. Her tickling spell hit the pink haired girl and she could see from the corner of her eye that May got hit by a flash of light as well, knocked back again. Willow's spell missed Opeila by far. It really seemed that the distracting curse did it's part to help the Slytherins.

May got up, rubbing her backside as she saw that Willow was being hit by the tickling spell again. She felt sorry for her partner, for she was being hit by most of the spell's, but that thought ran out of her mind quickly. She was being hit by the knock back jinx again, this time in the face. It hurt so much that she was almost sure that the next day she was going to wake up with a mark on her face. But it was only a spell.

Adonis was definitely not feeling like a gentleman indeed. If this was outside of duelling? Then he would be. But this? Nope! He wanted them to win and he could both teams were slowly beginning to get exhausted from the grueling match that they had put up against each other so far. He was proud of himself for landing the spell once again though, nonetheless. Shortly after, he got into position and readied himself to make his next move.

The sudden turn of the table came from the Slytherin team itself. While Willow missed her spell (or Adonis being an agile snake), May hit Adonis in the chest with a sturdy Knockback Jinx. One out of two. Opeila got her revenge for Adonis and sent her own Flipendo to show May they were not the ones to mess with. But then Adonis, be it out of rage or out of the unbearable desire for revenge, he lacked concentration and hit himself with his own spell. (Writing final damage from Adonis due to higher damage) The backfired damage was so big that the boy instantly fell unconscious and was removed from the battlefield.

Both Willow and Opeila seemed to be dragged away by the effect of the curse. And Willow was tickled by the fingers of hell to add up to her state. Who knows how much would they stand?

Willow felt the toll of the laughing jinx and the curse of the bogies starting to weigh on her, her desire for sleep only becoming more intense as the battle went on. A desire for this to end. While her spell went off without a hitch, once again Adonis dodged it. Willow could only be grateful for @May Moonstar by her side as she successfully hit him. But then something peculiar happened, Adonis seemingly attempted to cast but hit himself and was knocked out. A glance was stolen towards May, they could still do this. Now it was two against one. A fading two against one, but they could still pull this off if they just held on a little bit longer.

May's Flipendo hit Adonis once again, giving Opeila a chance to once more hit May as well. A proud grin appeared on the Slytherin's face for a splitsecond. She saw a weird wandmovement from the corner of her eye. Her head turned, faced Adonis, who seemed desperate- too desperate to land another hit. Opeila tried to do every wandmovement with the greatest care and she could see from here, that this was leading nowhere. If they were lucky. "Adonis-" His wand seemed to explode, causing Opeila to jump backwards. Adonis collapsed on the ground. Unconscious. They were officially lost.
She needed a moment to accept that, before she turned back to her opponents. Well. They couldn't lose more than they already lost, right? And if she was the last woman standing from her team, she could as well give it all she had now. As things stood at the moment, she didn't have a lot. She could barely stand at this point, the curse would soon win this fight for the two girls.

May grinned with satisfaction as her Flipendo hit Adonis, but the triumphant sensation didn't last long, for another Flipendo had been casted her way by Opeila. With a grunt, May stood up and blinked, watching the surrounding world around her. And then...

"One down Willow!' the Hufflepuff screamed, as she saw Adonis, unconscious on the floor. They were winning, and it was only a matter of time until Opeila would fall victim of Willow's Mucus ad Nauseaum. Her wand pointing directly at her next move, May casted her spell.

Two girls out of three seemed to get worse and worse. Willow was still being tickled and the whole duel turned into torture. Opeila's spell missed May, but the effort to evade it cost May her own spell that missed Opeila as well. Willow, on the contrary, demonstrated miracles with her Flipendo reaching her opponent disregarding her poor state. Both girls under the Curse of the Bogies seemed to be one step into unconsciousness.

The young badger didn't understand why they didn't just call the duel now. Why not save Opeila and her from their inevitable fall to the Curse of the Bogies and stop now. It seemed like there was an air of determination around Opeila, an unwillingness to give up. May didn't seem to be giving up either. She just wanted it to stop. This one duel had been more physically taxing than anything she had done. For this moment, she missed Quidditch. It didn't make her sneezy and sniffly and laughing so much it felt like her sides could rip open at any second. Willow hoped she never had to laugh again at this point.

With the weakest of arms, she lifted her arm once more to steady her wand.
