Group D: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff
If there was something that was much worse than being horrifically sick and unable to see, it was when heat started to travel up his pant leg with burning, excruciating intensity.
HE WAS ON FIRE.
Eyre let out a yelp of pain, flailing around his leg rather pathetically until he himself fell over much like Rose did. This wasn't even fun anymore. It was just miserable.
one morning this sadness will fossilize and i will forget how to cry. ☆

Or maybe not. Maybe they were just going to horribly fail and this duel would start their season off on a bad foot.
Because Eyre was on fire.
Rose could tell, even through the thick of the smoke. Eyre had come to her in her time of need. This was so weird- weren't the Hufflepuffs the ones supposed to be on fire?!

Logan's eyes widened at the fact her spell actually hit Eyre. She could see the sparks and now the small flame through the smoke. Luckily the smoke seemed to be fading throughout the large room and Logan was actually able to see. What surprised her even more is that neither one of the Gryffindor students sent any spells at them. Where they really giving up already, it didn't seem like those two to do that.

The smoke had thinned, nearly dispersed by now, but it was still enough to make Mars' vision hazy. Evidently, it was still screwing with their duellists' aim as well.
They rocked back on their heels with a sigh as the hiss of flames going out sounded from Eyre's side. So that had been a success. They didn't have to worry about fire anymore, thank the gods. Alternately, the three witches on the field had gone full out against one another.
Mars saws Rose's Flipendo fly decently straight for someone with a cold and in a haze of smoke. However, Lucia was quick to react, stepping to the side and firing back the same in return. Logan's Tarantallegra joined it, both aiming from the area Mars assumed Rose was standing. They held their breath as they watched both beams of light fizzle out. Did they have to stop the match? Was the lioness still standing?
Rose's face broke through the curls of gray smoke. They let out a low whistle, eyebrows raised. Hanging on by a thread hmm? Seemed these Gryffindors wouldn't go out without a fight.

Group D: Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff
Rose's smoke cleared. Logan still hadn't been hit, and Lucia was definitely faring better than the lions. It was so frustrating- It looked like they were about to loose their first duel. Rose kinda wanted it to end already- it would have been fun if they were evenly matched, but for some reason, the odds were favoring the Hufflepuffs.
There was still a chance, a tiny chance that they could do this.

Logan huffed in frustration as her spell flew passed Rose. She was just not having much luck when it came to hitting her targets, although there was still smoke in the air, which was not helping her much at all. To be honest, the Hufflepuff was tired. All she wanted to do at this point was end the match and head back to her dorm to sleep. Even though she hadn't been hit by anything yet, she knew she was just lucky so far and assumed her luck was going to end.
